Best Payment Platform
Overall, the platform feels safe with all of its security measures. I prefer PayPal for all business transactions, but not necessarily for transactions with friends. Other platforms are a little quicker and easier to use, but this one is a one-stop shop for everything.
Pros
I like the easy of use, the ability to pay and receive transactions, being able to review transactions, send refunds, and search capabilities based on name.
Cons
Load times can sometimes be a little lengthy. I wish that each transaction confirmation also showed you the amount that paypal is receiving from each transaction, rather that having to go into the platform to chase down the information. Just include it with the emails. and also when you are charging someone for something, I wish that the PayPal cut would update in real-time so you can see exactly what you are needing to charge the customer. While that may seem like a minor thing, when you have a 50 or more transactions, that amount adds up to a more significant amount.

It's very convenient—but such high fees!
Pros
I love that I can easily create invoices right through PayPal. And send those invoices to my customers.I also love that PayPal accepts credit card payments from customers. Competitors (e.g., Wise and Payoneer) don't quite compare when it comes to payment options.
Cons
PayPal charges exorbitant fees for transferring from your PayPal wallet to your bank. I've been charged up to $100 for a $1000 transfer. Which means that I have to price my services higher if customers want to send their payments through PayPal.Exchange fees are also pretty terrible compared to competitors.

You can always depend on PayPal
Overall, my experience using PayPal has been pretty painless with setting things up for multiple businesses. Of course, it's not perfect - but nothing is ever really perfect anyways.
Pros
There's a lot to love about PayPal, but recently I have loved the improvements made that has made it easier to use (especially for complicated API stuff).
Cons
Although there's not much to dislike, I would say that I find their fees a little high at times, but that's not a deal breaker by any means.

PayPal is my go-to payment processor and manages nearly our all online payments
I can do IPN's easy. I can easily send an invoice and collect payments and it's instant.
Pros
PayPal is great because it's easy to use and nearly everyone else uses it too, so all my financial transactions are easy.
Cons
Sometimes the security becomes cumbersome but it's better than getting ripped off. I'll take some inconvenience over victimization from thieves.

Pay Pal Review
All in all a good service for most people who are technologically literate (most of the public), but for the inexperienced tech senior citizen it is a bit daunting and scary.
Pros
Pay Pal is an easy to use payment processor for small businesses, organizations, and individuals. They have options to collect payments online, and in-person.
Cons
As we work with a lot of older donors, it is not a very user friendly service for them. Many older donors don't like creating an account with Paypal in order to donate. I think the process scares them because they feel like they will be sharing sensitive data online that could be captured by malevolent forces (crazy but true). It also doesn't give an option for donors to pay for the Credit Card fees themselves, instead of our organization eating the fees.

PayPal's ease of use
My overall experience with PayPal has been very positive. I use PayPal myself when ordering from some vendors, so I feel confident that PayPal will work for my business. PayPal gives Customers confidence that their payment is secure and provides a quick, efficient way to operate an online business.
Pros
PayPal's reputation and consistency is what I like most about the service. Customers trust it and I can focus on other aspects of my business model with PayPal handling checkouts and invoicing.
Cons
There aren't many cons for PayPal, but if I were to identify one that impacts my business, it would be the accessibility of a live Customer Support service.

Nice to have
It's nice to have but there are a lot of better platforms out there.
Pros
It's easy to use and one of my first mobile wallets I have. It's something you should have because sometimes it's the only way to pay for purchases.
Cons
I believe the fees. I get the money in other platforms because of the fees that PP charges in every transaction.

The payment method that sells best
We are using Paypal since at least 10 years in many projects, and always it's a win-win combination due to his reliability, as a customer and as a buyer
Pros
We have several payment methods in our website, but PayPal is, with a great difference the preferred by our all customers. Even myself prefer this in my personal bougths. It gives a great security perception to the final customer because there is no need to give your credit card data.
Recently it has launched a new prestashop checkout module which integrates even a lot of new possibilities to local providers, this, helps a lot again the security perception to the customer
Also the security policies to the buyer, also give them an additional security layer with free returns, claims center...
Cons
The only one cons I can find to PayPal is his fees. It's more expensive to any other payment method. They're the best and get this advantage is his own profit
Alternatives Considered

The Global Solution - but not the best
As someone who likes to solve problems and its willing to work around technicalities to make things work, PayPal has been a very decent experience. As I mentioned, I really miss some key features regarding recurring billing and checkout customization but, as an overall, it is an amazing platform.
Pros
What I really like about PayPal is that it is available in almost any country in the world and works with almost any existing credit card. It's also a great payment option because it has no initial upfront costs, which means that anyone can start using it right away. If, for some reason, you cannot have the money transferred to your local bank, PayPal will transfer the money to any dollar card you might have within two days. The fact that you can also embed it to your website or smartphone app is also great. You can also create a PayPal.me checkout, which will allow you to charge anyone any amount you need to charge in a quick and simple way by via a link you can share.
Cons
I think that the user interface is not the easiest to understand at all. PayPal also lacks on features when it comes to, for example, recurring billing systems (recently, they tried to improved it but the generated codes - to embed on a website - generated an error, which is something unbelievable coming from such a giant technological company), and the options to charge or personalize the icons are not the best neither.
The $5 (per transaction) and 5% commission of the total amount you are transferring are not the lowest on the market neither. This is only compensated by the fact that they are the most globally accepted payment platform in the world.
Finally, customer service doesn't exist at all and you must solve almost every problem and question by yourself. Google and forums are your only source of help. This is, probably, one of the worst things about PayPal. What happens if they freeze your money and you cannot withdraw it? No one knows.
Reasons for Switching to PayPal
PayPal is, by now, the only platform that works in most countries of Latin America. It has almost no upfront costs neither and its international reputation transmits a certain degree of guarantee.

Paypal Business Review
Overall, I've been a customer of paypal for over 10 years. I like their invoicing system, and how it tracks everything for you. It gives ease of access when you go into Paypal and you need to search for and track payment or invoice records. That's awesome. I am not a fan of the customer service that paypal has. Each time I call for help to try to fix an issue I'm having, I end up getting off the call more confused. They need to train their rep's better. I've had instances where I've had to call about the same issue multiple times, and each time I called about the exact same issue, I have been given different explanations, and also been told to do different things to 'correct' the issues, and 9 times out of 10, the issue isn't resolved. If you call with a simple issue, the rep's seem to be able to help ok though.
Pros
I like a couple things about Paypal. I mostly like the mobile app that they offer, because it gives you ease of access when your on the go. I also like that Paypal has started integrating new partnerships like Venmo. I really like how easy and instantly you're able to transfer paypal funds into your bank account.
Cons
With the new partnership/integrated apps that they have, like Venmo, and Greendot, they aren't a two-way street. For instance, you can't transfer money from Venmo over to paypal, or at least I tried, and it was extremely confusing how they have everything set up.
Reasons for Switching to PayPal
I am very comfortable with how paypals system works, and I've been using it for years. It's been the most consistent of all of the other systems I've used. Also, again, as mentioned, I like the mobile app that they have the best. It keeps me in control in an instant when I need to check my balances, check invoices and track transactions.- Industry: Construction

Pros

Cons

PayPal easily connects our non profit business with donors.
For anyone trying to solve a purchase/payment problem without having a formal bank arrangement, this is a great solution. And its software can be included with almost every POS system we looked at.
Pros
We needed away for our non-profit fundraising arm, which is separate, to sell product and collect funds for their initiatives, but with a paper trail that helps us document those donors and their activity. PayPal was very simple to integrate into our point-of-sale system, like it literally took one minute. The reporting and transaction history is thorough and allows for refunds, shipping, and every kind of documentation we need.
Cons
The portion that PayPal takes per transaction is a little high, for us, but we do see the value. It would be helpful if the organization (vs. a person) could have a log in, maybe with multiple users.

Square Point of SaleReasons for Choosing PayPal
Our system for collecting money is a ticketing system. So it was not very flexible for products, which we moved to after Covid. Also, we needed our independent volunteer arm to do the actual collection.Reasons for Switching to PayPal

Convenient
I have used PayPal as a consumer and as a business owner. Using PayPal to receive payments for online classes and goods sold online has been convenient but I'm not happy with the associated fees or customer service.Using PayPal as a consumer is also convenient but since it's so difficult to set up I wouldn't recommend it unless you've already created a PayPal account. It's much faster to use an existing debit card or purchase prepaid cards.
Pros
PayPal is popular among consumers and accepted by major online merchants/businesses. It's convenient to use as a smaller size business. PayPal is secure and works hard to prevent fraud. It's also a safer way to send/receive payments to/from an individual since it is a documented transaction.
Cons
Customer service has to be better. They are in charge of funds and accounts, it should be very easy to get help. Customer service has really hurt my experience with PayPal.Fees and policies should be made very clear. Depositing cash can be costly. Receiving payments can be also.PayPal can freeze accounts and withhold funds.I want it to be more user friendly.Setting up PayPal was more difficult than any account I've had.

Not as popular as PayPal- Industry: Computer Games

The Best and the only Great international Payments Platform
I do freelancing and some other part time works and almost everytime I receive my money from other countries. So, if there was no PayPal or even if it was not available in my country, then receiving PayPal would have become impossible for me. In other words , PayPal is the best and the only best International Payments medium for me and for my friends too. The easy and fully featured interface makes is real easy and fun to use . Sending and receiving funds is as easy as just like sending text messages on PayPal. The automatic transfer of funds is also really useful. PayPal guarantees security and complete encryption of information and transactions so I can use it without any worries. The only problem is the tax/fee while receiving a payment and also the correct conversion fee is a little bad. But overall, my experience with Paypal is really good and I appreciate .
Pros
While receiving International Payments, PayPal is the only lifeline for me. I reside in India and there's no any international Payments Bank which is easy to use as PayPal is. Without PayPal, I would not have received any money from my side works. So basically, PayPal is the best and the only best payments platform which is available Globally and accepted nearly everywhere online and mostly everywhere Offline too. The best part of PayPal is that sending to anyone as well as receiving money is easy as just like sending and receiving text messages. The second best thing about PayPal is its interface which is easy and fully featured. PayPal informs everytime whenever there is an update to their site, privacy policy, terms and conditions, and when we receive or send money. The paypal mobile app is also very easy to use and has a very nice and featured interface. When it comes to security, PayPal stands very greatly... PayPal insures each and every payment is secured and encrypted. Joining PayPal in India is very easy as just like joining a social media site, to receive international Payments, Indians have to link their Pan Card and if they want to use it locally they will have to link Aadhaar Card as well. The verification process is fast as expected. In India, due to RBI regulations PayPal has made Automatic Transfer of funds from PayPal which is really way useful, because of it we don't have to care about withdrawing the funds as they are done automatically.
Cons
The only things I dislike about PayPal are :-
1) when we receive money we have to pay a little fee which is sometimes not so little . So, there's a rule that when a user receives money, he/she will have to pay a fee and in my opinion, the fee is sometimes too much than expected.
2) The PayPal International currency conversion is really not so good. I reside in India so here the currency is INR , and I mostly receive money in other currencies such like USD or GBP , so the problem is that the currency conversion occurs in a very bad way. Example, last time when I received money in USD, 1USD was actually equivalent to 69INR but PayPal did the currency exchange and gave me 67 INR for each USD. So, if we receive a little International payment, then the currency conversion fees will be just a little as negligible bit when we receive a high payment the currency conversion charge will be high too which could be proved less benefited for users.

A safe and simple platform for online shopping
PayPal was the first electronic payment platform I used, it was very easy for me to start using it. Thanks to this valuable platform, I can shop online, pay for services and also receive money when selling an administrative product or service. It is very safe and reliable, I use PayPal a lot because it is accepted in almost all internet pages.
Pros
PayPal has many positive things, I can receive and send money from anywhere in the world. With PayPal I can buy on EBay safely and instantly. There are also many websites that accept PayPal as a form of payment. In addition, I can send money to my family and friends. It is very easy to open an account and send and receive money, you only need the email of the other person and that's it, the money arrives instantly. Even if you have an associated PayPal bank account, you can withdraw the money to that account. Something I like is that I can create an invoice, customize it and send it to a customer. I can associate my debit or credit card with the account and that way I can make payments online without revealing the card details. The technical support is good, they try to help you when you have a problem, although I think they should improve a bit.
Cons
The bad thing about PayPal is that it is very delicate and for any suspicious reason they can limit the account, that is, you cannot send money to another person. That sometimes happens when you enter the account with another IP or in another country. If that happens you have to contact support and many times it takes too long to solve the problem. I would also like PayPal to have a chat system, that way you can solve problems that arise quickly.

Best for Online Money Transfer
My overall experience using PayPal has been awesome. I have managed to do online transactions with people located from different parts of the world. With PayPal, I can now do business with clients from any part of the world as I am assured of instant payments from PayPal.
Pros
I like how secure PayPal is. This means that your money is only accessible to you and you alone. If anyone tries to log in to your PayPal account, PayPal with alert you immediately and they will even require the person logging into your account to verify themselves. I also like the fact that transactions on PayPal are instant. Once the sender clicks on send, the recipient receives that money immediately without any delays. For users residing in Kenya, PayPal has partnered with Safaricom's M-pesa. This makes it easy for them to withdraw money from PayPal to M-pesa, which is also instant. I also like the fact that I can link my local bank with PayPal and be able to withdraw my money from PayPal to bank.
Cons
What I like least about PayPal is the way they temporarily hold your money for no reason even if it is from a genuine source. This is not good at all. Some times someone might receive money send during an emergency and then PayPal just decides to hold it for 24 hours. I also do not like how PayPal suspends users accounts. If they are to do so, then it would have been good they get enough evidence before closing the accounts. Sometimes these accounts might be closed with money on them. It gets difficult convincing them to give you the money that was saved there before the account was suspended.

"You've got cash!"
We have not had any problems so far, and I believe that our income has increased due to allowing people to register and pay online. We haven't made a detailed analysis of that yet, but it seems that way. PayPal is easy for us to use and easy for people who want to pay online to use too. Overall, it gets a high grade from us.
Pros
We chose PayPal because it has a history and a reputation. Although there are plenty of others out there, we felt most secure in a company with its reputation. It was a little tricky to set up because of financial security concerns, but we received the help we needed and it didn't take too long. PayPal has lots of options but we only use some basic ones: we use it on our website to allow people to pay for their retreat and program registrations. It interfaces nicely with Retreat Booking Guru which we began using at the same time. We have a choice between doing a daily "sweep" of our funds into our bank account, or doing it manually ourselves. To date we do it manually. I'm in charge of this, and at the same time I do a money transfer, I print out a PayPal report for our bookkeeper so that she knows what's happening. She of course sees our bank statements, but my reports help her make sense of them. Because we are a nonprofit, we get a lower rate than a commercial enterprise would. The monthly rate we pay in addition is a fair one, we think, and there is no charge for transferring funds to our bank. We like PayPal; it seems to work very well and it is a big help to us.
Cons
I'm not impressed with the reports generated by PayPal. I have a choice of downloading a report they generate, which doesn't have all the information I'd like, or simply printing what shows on the Activity page. When I do that, the column headings are shifted so they aren't over the right columns. But at least I get the info I want and in a font large enough to read. In the overall picture, this is something I can live with.

Good for buyers, not much for sellers.
I will always recommend PayPal for online purchases. As an honest customer I like the easiness and security it offers.
As a seller? Never.
Pros
Get paid instantly, manage your money, send invoices to your customers and clients, pay using those funds on all the online stores that accept PayPal.
With all the different options for sourcing funds, it is easy to jump from your credit card to your checking account if you desire to do so.
Their app works fast, it is reliable and allows me opening it anywhere to check my balance and even get alerts when an invoice has been sent or paid.
As a buyer, it is probably my first choice whenever I make online purchases, for safety, because I don't really like writing down my credit card details on every single store I shop at, and because it is faster, saves me time from introducing numbers and codes as everything is recorded and verified already.
Cons
As a seller, this can be tricky, specially when selling items on Ebay.
In fact, PayPal is what keeps me from selling anything there.
If you are unlucky enough to sell your collectibles, antiques or your hard work to a smart guy, they will report the item as "not as pictured", "not as expected" or any other excuses they might find creative and PayPal will ALWAYS be on their side.
I have lost a few thousand dollars thanks to PayPal and their policies and these buyers with no morals.
They are not forced to return the item, money will be returned no matter what you say, even shipping charges, and you can say whatever you want, PayPal just doesn't care about sellers AT ALL.
I can say without hesitation that PayPal has killed the hobby collector, the artisan and those small honest sellers that loved selling their products online, specially Ebay.
And this without even mentioning the "fake fakes" hunters. I tried to sell authentic Designer clothing and shoes and my items were literally stolen.
Buyer reports your item as a counterfeit and you will lose your money and the item.
They are only suggested to destroy it. Yes, right... like that is ever going to happen.

Best Way To Pay In This Century
I have been using this software, website and app for over 10 years now if not longer. I have never had one issue with them that was not solved. I will never leave them as a valued customer.
Pros
Paypal is such a trusted source from the website to their app. They are easy to setup, anyone with a bank account can do this in 10 minutes maximum. They keep all your information secure and encrypted. They have to be the best way to get paid online as well as send money anywhere in the world. I can send money in seconds to my bank account as well as my fiance when he is overseas. It is good in business format which I have gotten to use as well. I even get a credit card so I can use it like any other debit card out and about. They also have a option for paypal credit for people that have shown loyalty and have descent enough credit not perfect but income to pay back they give you the chance. They are better than any loan company and their interests are much lower as well. You can use paypal to sell things with or just friends and family. You can have anyone anywhere send you money with just a simple link to your account which makes things easier to take donations. They have tools to use like for your websites and such as well. The customer service is amazing. They are spot on and go out of their way to help you with whatever issue you have. They also are fast to fix a fraudulent company taking money from you. Had this happen in the past after I got off the phone with them it was back in my paypal and they took care of the rest. This is a company that has showed me they value their customers. Anyone who wants a company they can trust with their money Paypal is it.
Cons
If you plan to use with any adult nature with this company it is not allowed. If it is any adult themed so if you look for to use for the adult industry jobs then you might have to look elsewhere. This is the only con I have yet to find.

Well, there's good and there's not so good
Pros
PayPayl's good features are that almost everybody uses it, it's fast, you get a credit card to access your money, there are a lot of apps and widgets to incorporate PayPal payments into your website if you're a retailer of any kind (I do use this in my art studio website). And it's one of Elon Musk's brain children, which generally is a great thing. I'm listing customer service as one of the cons, but I will say that the response time is fast, even if it's not what you want to hear. They don't bombard you with tons of emails. You have business and personal accounts to choose from and then can link your bank accounts to the card, so that if you're using it and it runs low, it will draw from your backup cards. Well, in theory - because I tried that the other day and it didn't work, which I'll mention in the cons as well. Yes, there are fees, but thankfully lower ones than for instance you'd see with a regular credit card. As a freelancer, it's a good method to use for transfer of payment for my services from different companies and individuals. Overall, I think it's OK, but there are some drawbacks I'll address below.
Cons
I mentioned customer service, yes, it is fast. But you don't always hear what you want to hear. For instance (and this may also be an eBay drawback) I purchased something from eBay that arrived completely unlike the description. Contacted the seller who agreed to take the item back and refund the money upon receipt. Even after I had tracking to show the item had been re-delivered to the seller, he did not refund my money. In contacting both eBay and PayPal I got the runaround and eventually no money was ever returned. Another time, GoDaddy charged my account for web services on a renewing bill that I was unaware was going to renew without my approval (because I had planned to move providers). I contacted PayPal and put in a request to review this transaction because it was not authorized by me, and they determined the charge was "just fine" and no funds were returned to me and I am now stuck with GoDaddy for another year. So that kind of makes my experience with PayPal a little bitter. Apparently anyone can just take money and they'll do nothing. I also mentioned that having a backup card matched to your PayPal card will pull money from the account if you use the PayPal card and don't have enough in your account to cover the costs. I had left my credit card in the back pocket of my jeans after putting gas in my car and was out and tried to use my PayPal card and it didn't go through, despite having linked my accounts to PayPal. So, another bitter experience. If you want to get your money any other way than through the card they provide, it takes time to transfer funds or get a check. Also you can only go back so far in time to review transactions on your card. I was recently trying to find an account history for 2014 and there does not appear to be a way to access that information. And if I'm not mistaken, I believe eBay and PayPal are severing their love connection at some point and PayPal may not be the golden child of payment methods anymore in the the not-too-distant future, which could potentially bump it from the top of the heap as the most frequently used payment service eventually.

The best payment method for small businesses
I've had a really decent overall experience using PayPal. Like I'm sure many other people have done, I've used it for a variety of purposes. I became familiar with it when I first started selling products on eBay, then as I expanded to other types of eCommerce and started accepting payments from individuals. It has been incredibly helpful to me. This review's title indicates that it is the tried-and-true payment processing platform. Perfect for anyone who wants to send and receive payments for on-the-spot jobs, whether they are just starting out in company and need a reasonably free platform to process their payments that is compatible with just about any type of web hosting platform.
Pros
Then there is the issue of secure transactions. Using Paypal is quite simple, and it comes with an additional layer of security, fraud prevention, and encryption of bank and credit card account information. a wide range of user-friendly payment options, tremendous confidence and comfort in the robustness and security of the shipping, marketing, record-keeping, and tax calculation processes. Additionally, it provides instant deposits, prompt sending, spending, and exchanges; continuous financial flow and prompt access to funds are crucial. The majority of businesses can easily use Paypal because it works with so many different platforms and devices and has considerably lower fees than competing services. It also includes robust multichannel sales and invoicing tools. There is no cost.
Cons
Like many businesses that handle payments, PayPal levies fees for their services. It's always wonderful if costs can be reduced so that creators may keep more of the money they work so hard to earn, even though I expect and accept that fees are ultimately inevitable. When price increases are necessary to take percentages into account, it is unpleasant. However, in general, I have found PayPal's costs to be among the lowest, so this is a very small issue.

Paypal can be annoying, tough it's still the best
would still recommend PayPal to everyone because you really don’t have any other options out there better than PayPal.
I think PayPal knows this and that’s why they don’t care to make adjustments.
I read somewhere that if you plan to travel or are changing the device you usually login with to PayPal, you can write to PayPal and explain this but I'm not sure if this works though. Maybe they could still ask to verify whether its truly you that is making the request.
Pros
PayPal is the biggest online money transfer which makes it my best choice because I work with a number of people from almost every corner of the earth.
I love Its invoicing software. It takes away the hassle of creating invoices.
The mobile card reader is great too and I use it with my Mpesa to make payments when I'm in Kenya.
In this part of the World where other online payment systems are so inefficient, PayPal is such a life saver.
The shopping cart, the instant payment, the simple click and send, PayPal is simply awesome.
It would take me a whole day to write about the wonderful features of PayPal but it would equally take me the same time to write about cons.
Cons
I think its crazy to have your account limited or locked just because you have changed your IP address or you have changed your location.
PayPal annoys me by thinking that people must use the same device to login to PayPal all their life if they are to continue smoothly running their account.
If you travel to another country or log into your account with another PC, your account can be limited.
I know someone whoose account was locked with $5000 in it. Its been 1years since this happened and PayPal has never resolved the problem.
Yes they restore your account after verification but most of the time it takes them long to restore it yet its a hassle that can be avoided.
What is worse is that I have seen many people complain about this for some time now and PayPal hasn’t done anything about it.
