Product platform

I am extremely satisfied with Yodeck as both a digital signage and management platform.

Pros

I was looking for a digital marketing platform that I could promote to a particular niche market and Yodeck provided most of the features I was looking for. Ease of management, workspaces and user privileges all make this ideal.

Cons

The only problem I experienced was with the scheduling module. Not being able to set a schedule to occur on a particular day for a period means a lot of additional manual scheduling.

Great tool for internal communication

Pros

Nice management panel, see if the monitors are on or off. Also the shutting down and turning on screens on schedule saves the sceens panels (previous tool didn't have this option, which caused displays to broke after year or two)

Cons

No good Microsoft integrations, only Power BI. Would be great if OneDrive for Business, Teams or Sharepoint online integrations would work.

Good Product

Device storage is limited. Storage on the device is relatively small.

Storage is automatically managed, caching files until more space is needed. Of course, you can always upgrade storage of your Players yourself easily.

Great value, easy to use and works well

The dashboard is very easy to use and server connection works very well

Great way to manage video content and signage, easy to update

Loving it so far that we expanded to 5 total screens so we can play our own custom content at each of our locations instead of youtube or cable TV

Pros

Easy to update and schedule content. Very cool that you can set media to expire so that it won't show after the promotion is over!

Cons

The videos can sometime seem to flicker a little. I'm not sure if it's the Hz rate on the TV or the playback from YoDeck, but it's not bad enough that I've really looked into it too deep yet.

An Association's Yodeck Review

Pros

It was easy to setup and easy to use. The UI was simple and did not feel overwhelming. Most importantly, it worked as described. Access to widgets

Cons

The layout can definitely be improved. It is not necessarily bad but understanding its capabilities and how what you see on your computer translates to what you see on your signage screen can take a while. In other words, making the layout options more obvious and accessible.Widget load speed is slow and more widgets would be a welcome additiont

Exactly what I was looking for

Yo deck highly recommended

Really love the product. If you need some extra flair for your business without breaking the bank try Yo deck.

Pros

If your looking for something simple to use not hard to learn advanced features than this is for you. Plus the fact that the equipment supplied works amazing and really makes your visuals pop. Can use the built in tools or upload your own creations. Inexpensive and a great business feature.

Cons

I really can’t complain about the system. Haven’t had to use support as plenty of info easily accessible on youtube and simple to use.

YoDeck allows for easy Cloud-Based Signage

I really enjoy using YoDeck because it is easy to use and allows for quick deployment to screens

Pros

Its cloud-based approach allows for management anywhere, and the Raspberry Pi's are very reliable.The scripting engine for websites is very versatile, and I've used it greatly

Cons

OneDrive for Business integration should be standard for "Pro" users, and some of the playlist scheduling options are difficult to navigate

The Best Value In Digital Signage

The deployment has been easy. The hardware is cheap. We've had much higher user adoption, and I've enjoyed administering it. It's been easy to experiment and make changes. My team has truly loved using YoDeck

It is incredibly user friendly for both admins and customers. It's cheap and easy to deploy, it's easy to manage...it's amazing!

Cons

There are limited features compared to more full-fledged platforms, such as wayfinding. But we do not utilize that.

A very simple-to-use, affordable, scalable setup for display screens

I've had a great experience with Yodeck and it was an easy sell for our organization. The cost is affordable, the customer service and tech support are FANTASTIC (even if only available via email), and we are very pleased with the 11 screens we have implemented thus far with Yodeck.

Pros

I love how easy the Yodeck app is to use. Tagging and scheduling content is EASY EASY EASY and works great!

Cons

I would like to see some improvements in the security with some of the widgets. I don't want to provide my login credentials for SharePoint, PowerBI, etc. to be able to use some of those widgets. There has to be a better (more secure) way...

Digital signage for large secondary school

Support is excellent, always prompt and friendly.

Pros

All cloud based to simple to update and sync to players. We've replaced our entire digital signage screens with TVs running Yodecks behind them. We've also managed to create one incorporated with a free to air setup TV box so staff can enjoy TV whilst we overlay important messages.

Around the school site we use them to display messages for students, live feeds from Twitter, the weather, time and news. Very powerful and very easy to use and manage.

Cons

Nothing. Every works well for us. Plenty of guides online helping if you get stuck too.

Easy to use digital signage solution for Raspberry PI

We use Yodeck as an information system in a public high school cafeteria. Students are presented with PSA images, lunch menus, sports schedules, weather reports and a synchronized clock. The system runs 24 hours a day has has done so without error for more than a year now.

Pros

Coming from Samsung Magicinfo, Yodeck was far superior in almost every aspect. Wide varieties of media are playable as part of the slide deck, including PDF, images, videos and remote HTML. Our screen sat dead waiting for a solution before we found Yodeck.

Cons

The software does require a connection to the home server to operate, would be nice to have a fully offline mode. I haven't had a chance to test how the system would work in a fully offline environment.

So easy to use

Pros

Being able to see if a TV is offline and even getting a screenshot. Having multiple locations that can each have their own separate content. Being able to integrate stand alone slides along with videos.

Cons

More options would be nice with the "ticker" and "time and date" features, such as fonts and colors.

Great Signage solution

Overall, this product is excellent. Yhe product is very lightweight but very powerful. Being able to develop your own apps or even develop your own internal websites that can be displayed on the players, along with being able to run scripts on webpages to automate login to pages is a very nice touch. It does make management of the platform on a day to day basis very easy. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a new digital signage platform.

Pros

The fact that it is a cloud based platform really works well for us. Due to not being reliant on a central publisher located in a DC, the management of the platform can be done from anywhere. With integrations for SSO from Azure AD, this also provides security and RBAC access from our existing estate without the need to manage individual users and groups in the application. Having Raspberry Pi's run the content displays is a nice touch too, as they are cheap to replace should one fail and using Micro SD cards to install the OS on is also really handy as these can be rebuilt in minutes should there be a problem with the player. There are a large number of widgets available out of the box, but being able to create your own is also really handy too. This way we can build a generic widget for a certain task, then just keep re-using it for different sites.

Cons

As with any new products, there are a few teething issues. These are mainly down to widgets needing to be developed to allow certain functionality. However, Yodeck tech support are very prompt and very helpful, so can't really say this is a down point. Just a staged development of the app integrations i suppose with any platform.

Manufacturing Use

Pros

I am a safety engineer and it is very simple to work with for me. I can update the screens in various locations throughout our shop and have no problems. The set up was super easy and the websites that can be copy and pasted for web use works very well. This way I am able to put up safety videos over subjects we have problems with. I love that you can add powerpoint as well and it will set up the times to scroll through all of it. In some scenarios with past digital signage companies I had to paste slide for slide so this saves me a ton of time. Yodeck provides free players with subscriptions to services which makes it very convenient should you have to present for approval to corporate. All in all this is a great platform and I enjoy using it.

Cons

There is nothing I can think of besides maybe having a day counter option. I would like to put a clock up that counts the amount of days without an accident to display on the screens in the shop and I can't find anything like that on the widgets besides countdowns.

Best digital signage solution on the market.

Yodeck has been a game changer for our organization. The features and capabilities you receive for the price is the best we have seen in the digital signage space.

Pros

I am very familiar with various technology and the software is easily implemented and very user friendly. Even if you are not as technologically inclined the setup and maintenance is very straightforward. The main reason we went with yodeck is due to the remote management which streamlines new content across all of our locations.

Cons

I found the transitions between content on the screens to be a bit choppy. We now upload a single powerpoint converted to mp4 which prevents choppy transitions between slides. Although I believe it was updated since we started with yodeck but I haven't found the need to move away from our current method.

FOUND: Cost effective and simple to use platform!

We had an old system that only played a standard set of information uploaded to one central computer. It was time consuming and problematic. I saw a similar system at a friend's location and did some research and found Yodeck to be cost effective and simple to install. Now, not only can I make changes wherever I happen to be, but I can tailor content to all the different areas and even to different screens as I so choose. It has been a game changer for us and we love it!

Pros

the simplicity of installation, working in the system along with the cost effective pricing were all a huge draw for me. When I received my systems, it was just as advertised! Everything up and running, a little learning about how to work the system and now we are up and going providing more information to our constituents than ever before in ways that make sense to their location onsite!

Cons

There is a slight learning curve on the back-end, but honestly, if you spend any time at all on it, you can pick it up quick.

Fantastic and Inexpensive Digital SIgnage Solution for a small restaurant

Yodeck allowed us to cost-effectively test digital signage in our restaurant and has been a very positive addition to our branding and customer experience efforts. Even with their paid plan ($7.99/screen/month), we've found so many ways to utilize it that we consider it a very high ROI investment.

Pros

We wanted something very inexpensive to be able to change the slideshow on the TV in the dining area of our restaurant easily and remotely. Yodeck was amazingly simple to set up, even using your own Raspberry Pi, and the Free lifetime plan for one monitor obviously can't be beaten.

We used just the free plan for about a year, but it is so convenient and easy to use remotely that we've gone to the paid plan to use a second screen as a digital menu. We've also designed our upcoming second location specifically to take advantage of 2-3 screens there as well.

Cons

You need to invest a bit of time initially to get used to how to upload media, create playlists and schedules, assign things to monitors, etc., but their documentation is clear and thorough. Overall, I'd describe Yodeck as complex, but straightforward.

Simple to use, web links and WOW support

We needed a production that could provide the Lighthouse Keepers and hikers to the lighthouse with current weather, tide and ship information. This is the only signage product I could find that would be low cost (volunteer organization), simple to use (no paid tech) and could provide up-to-date info from many web sources.

Pros

Most signage seems to just show a gif designed page. I needed to show current information from other websites like current weather, marine alerts and current ships passing by. This is the only signage that I found that could support each page layout in the software and many links to web pages/gifs on the same page. WOW support that went way beyond. When a complex web link would to return a complete web page they investigated the link and wrote a URL that would work! When I needed the Raspberry Pi to tell the TV the right input source incase someone changed it, they wrote it and inserted it the correct place in the app for me. I explored many others that worked with Raspberry Pi and none had the simplicity, support for web links and support that Yodeck has and it was at a cost our volunteer organization could afford!!

Cons

I have pushed this software to provide current information from many sources in a signage tool. Each con I have hit, their customer support has solved or provided custom code in a supported area of the product to solve it. It is the first product I have used, that I can say this!!

Great Software at a great price

Yodeck has made my job easier. Updating menus, prices and content can be done from home and uploaded in seconds. Yodeck has made menu changes no longer a challenge.

Pros

I use Yodeck to create visual menus, advertising and 'what's on' displays within my venue. I love how easy it is to upload new playlists, videos and slides from anywhere. We used to print numerous menus and have to write up special boards, now this can be achieved in minutes from anywhere in the world.
It looks professional, its easy to set up and makes us stand apart from the competition

Cons

The Scheduling feature can get confusing when you overlap scheduled content. I often set one slide to finish on the hour and the following to start at 1 second past the hour however this could be simpler as i wasted some time figuring this out

Yodeck - a great solution and price

Overall, after looking at different solutions, Yodeck was the best option for our brand. There are other solutions that we looked at, including some free solutions, but none of the other solutions offered the value that Yodeck offered. In 2+ years we have never had a media player fail and they run 24x7.

Pros

My company has been using Yodeck for over 2 years and currently have 79 media players and i am able to manage the players without help. Its easy to use and sends you emails if a player goes down. Easy to use and fast customer support.

Cons

The only con that I have is sometimes I received a media player that is not working. OF the 79 media players I have received I have had 5 that did not work. 3 of them I was able to fix by re-flashing the SD card and 2 I had to replace the SD card.

Absolutely Amazing! Don't look anywhere else... it should start (and end) with Yodeck!

We run a small retail establishment and I needed the ability to use digital signage as an employee message board (while controlling content remotely). Being small, we don't have the funds to throw at problems/solutions... which means I'm a DIY owner. I've tried other providers, but became quickly frustrated since they didn't work (or didn't work as well as I'd like).

I'm glad I stumbled upon Yodeck... this was exactly what I needed and more! Very easy to setup, very intuitive, and very reliable (I waited to post this review since I wanted to be able to speak to up-time). I am amazed at how quickly I was able to setup the system (using a Raspberry Pi) and I'm impressed by how reliable it has been. We're going into our second month of use and we're experiencing 100% reliability, while constantly updating the Playlists.

But where Yodeck really stood out... I was contacted by a customer service manager the second we signed up for the service and had someone on standby who was willing to help where and when needed. I was shocked! A very nice touch and I can't say enough about that approach. I'm sold and will look to Yodeck for future projects when the time is right.

If you're in the market, or are unsure about where to turn for digital signage, I can't recommend Yodeck enough (especially for the beginner on a budget). Great product, great service, amazing reliability... well done Yodeck! Thank you!!!

Pros

How simple it was to get up and running. Ease of use a big plus. And reliability has been 100%... I expected downtime since we're running this on a Raspberry Pi, but we're amazed it's been 100% reliable.

Cons

Nothing... honestly... nothing! I'm really trying to find something negative, but it has been a great product with amazing reliability.

Yodeck the ultimate digital signage software

You set it and forget about it, that´s how software should run.

Pros

The software is working 100% of the time even without internet connection. That is what business needs: reliability.

Cons

Wifi set up process should work even simpler. You always need a keyboard or a LAN cable to connect, but every IoT Device out there can perform that via smartphone.
