Help getting problems fixed
overall has been good been a few bumps in the road but always been able to sort it out
Pros
The software is easy to use has lots of features that fit our needs
Cons
There are really no cons I can think about, about the software itself. My real concern is when you need help
everything is done through email and chat lines and that does work if you are comfortable with that type of communication. I prefer to pick up a phone and talk to someone.
[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] in Technical support has been very good to us and for our company. We appreciate her help, dedication, and quick response even though the email/chat line.

Senior Buyer
for the price I wish the program did more. I also wish that when you call tech support to fix a problem it could be done right then, that is when the customer is here-loss of customers
Pros
It makes filing reports easy. would be better if when it messes up you could fix problems to resubmit the reports. example if license was expired be able to update after the transaction.
Cons
can not fix problems. we are just stuck. the program is slow. the program is redundant, it does not do everything we need to be compliant. ie cash cards the program forces us to type and retype customer info to stay complaint.

Pros
The ScrapRight Software is the easy to use. Customers are in and out quickly with complete transparency. We can also recall old purchases with easy. This system has paid for its self over and over again! I have it in use at both of my yards and if ever we have a problem tech support is always available to assist.
Cons
Scrap Right is real good about addressing issues and making changes to better fit your needs.

Extremely happy with my decision to purchase ScrapRight's software program.
Complete Quick Books Accounting integration and full compliance with Arizona State Metal Theft Laws.
Pros
Ease of use and technical support. My staff and I were proficient with the software within 24 hours of installation. Their installation team were extremely professional, helpful as well as patient answering all of questions.
Cons
Weekend support, though available, is a little bit slower, but available. It would be nice if there were more report options, but short of that, We have zero complaints!

it helps us earn our living and establish our business as the top recycling company in the area
Pros
ease of use. the icons are straightforward and easy to use. when you need to start a new ticket it is very simple and the software is easy to train someone on.
Cons
overall speed can vary at times. meaning sometimes it takes far too long for the software to complete keystrokes.

For the most part, scrap rite is an excellent software that allows our business to flow...
Pros
I like how scrap rite allows you to access each customer's record quick and efficiently, allows us to print and download report history, and captures pictures of the material and person selling it.
Cons
What I like least about scrap rite is the photo I.D. scanner, and how it won't work at all sometimes or won't grab the information correctly. Severely slows down our quick process here at times.

Do you use those steps when facing an issue? We often recommend to users with certain computer types to start the day with these steps. You can go to the Dashboard in your software, then on the left hand side go to the HelpDesk, then underneath the header is FAQ and you will see the article Troubleshooting your Comboscan Driver's License scanner. If you have already been following these and it seems that they do not help, please call me direct on my cell or in the office and I will try to work on a resolution with you! Well thought-out software
Our efficiency has quadrupled and it is so easy to spot mistakes. The vast number of reports available within seconds makes inventory, profit management, and payout a breeze. The tech support team has gotten so much better since we started using this software as well. They stay on top of issues and communicate updates regularly.
Pros
- The seamless transition and organization between payout and inventory
- Professional looking reports, forms, and receipts
Cons
- Inability for our team to use remotely
- A few bugs in various layouts on our desktop but not our surface pro

Scrap King and AMR
We love the weighing portion of this software, overall happy with it, but would like better support on some of the other issues
Pros
The weighing portion is super easy to use, AP and AP ticket review are utilized all the time
Cons
Inventory portion of this program is not user friendly, to many tabs to click back and forth from, having to convert to bol and then again to an invoice is repetitive also trying to correct a bol that is already converted to invoice is difficult. Tickets that are converted to a bol that do not have a tare weight freeze in the system and require IT to fix. We are not to happy with the reports offered either.

New approach needed
Pros
Good POS system for the price and run specials.
Cons
Doesn't interface well with Quickbooks, and staff isn't helpful navigating the pitfalls of your product.

With no name I have to make an assumption that you are an iScrapRight subscriber? Our iScrapRight product is not intended to integrate with QuickBooks, nor will this be an offering in the future on this product. If you would like a discounted price on upgrading to our flagship product ScrapRight which does including integration to QuickBooks I would like to offer that to you.
Also, iScrapRight includes chat support with our Tier One team but our Tier One and Tier Two support techs are available to our ScrapRight customers from 7am to 7pm EST M-F and Saturday's from 8am - 4pm EST via phone, chat and help desk tickets.

Happy with our purchase, customer service really makes the package.
Customer support, we were having a hard time with our previous company.
Pros
Ease of use, but I like the service availability and quick response. We depend on Scrapright for our daily operation if it goes down we cannot function effectively.
Cons
Sometimes it locks up. Some of the admin functions are time consuming. It would be nice to change all prices then hit save rather than having to change 1 at a time.

I've had scrap right for many years now. Durability is excellent. Been easy to use.
Streamlined inventory cost and analysis.
Pros
It is user friendly once you understand the system. Provides inventory and record keeping details. That enables me to maintain accurate cost analysis as well as keeping historical analysis.
Cons
At times the system runs slow. Other times part of the system just stops functioning and needs to reboot.

We've been using ScrapRight for over 5 years now and have been very pleased with it.
Pros
ScrapRight keeps us compliant with state recycling laws. It's easy to use and easy to teach others to use.
Cons
I have no major complaints. The tech team is working out some kinks in the latest version. I will be ready for the GA vehicle upload to work without any problems.

Cameras can be fickle needing cables to be moved and restarting but that may be our environment being outdoors

Good Software Solution for small to medium businesses
Great support team at ScrapRight, however, there is no support outside of their business hours.
Pros
Software is easy to use and interface is simple and friendly, it must be since where it is used, the users are not tech-savvy. The software is updated regularly by the ScrapRight team.
Cons
Requires regular maintenance, such as restarting certain services. The automated scripts and maintenance tasks are not doing sufficient job. I am sure its a configuration/setup thing that can be easily resolved.

Being able to see what's in Finished goods and what's in the whip.

Looking up material via inventory seems like it could be made simpler. Scrap right uses numbers but yet you can't look material up by number code

LEAD TRAINER ROX!
Pros
Just wanted to fill out this survey in regards to the lead trainer, we purchased some additional training for a new employee and this guy really went the extra mile and basically taught our new girl about the scrap industry before even attempting to train her on how to use the software! He gets major points in my book!
Cons
My contract doesn't allow me to hire their employees, that's actually a good thing that we cant hire each other people, but dang it I want the Lead Trainer at my yard every day, or at least two days a week! If I had him here I bet I would double my business!

Scrap Right makes my job easier.
Pros
I like being able to see my customer's history easily. It makes it easy and quick to assist law enforcement. The pictures are good quality too.
Cons
If you don't type something just right in the search, it may not come up. Missing an apostrophe or a comma could exclude what you're looking for from you results

Its easy to use. I am the one who uses it all day and I had very few issues learning it.
Pros
The customer service, the sales guy is awesome. If i have a problem they are either available or get back to me in 15 min or less. I've had very few issues with it since we started and it was mostly learning.
Cons
I wish I could put weights in without having to hit "enter weight manually" each weight. That is my only gripe

LOVE IT!

We really loved the pro attitudes and ability of the installation team! They came out and
installed everything and trained our team in two days with time left over to spare! Love

If I had to describe a con, I would simply say we haven't found any yet, this software transition and all of our experiences have been amazing! We highly recommend this company in every way. We even told the company that we would be a place that other yards could stop and see it in action! Amazing company, amazing people and amazing support!
