About iCloud

iCloud is a file storage solution that helps businesses backup and share photos, notes, documents and other data with stakeholders. It lets users create multiple folders, rename them and add color-coded tags to organize files as per individual preferences. iCloud enables administrators to share files and configure permission rights, restricting specific users to view, share or edit information. It lets users synchronize data across all devices for applications, such as iCal, Contacts, Reminders and Safari. Additionally, team members can collaborate and receive real-time updates on documents, presentations and spreadsheets. iCloud uses two-factor authentication and sends temporary verification codes to trusted devices, allowing users to sign-in on multiple devices. It is available on monthly pricing and support is extended via documentation, phone and other online measures.

Apple users would be hard pressed to find a better fit for their needs

The overall experience has been great. Our files and folders are automatically synced (from the document folder, download folder, and desktop). We can also easily share Numbers and Page files.

Pros

iCloud is an excellent backup solution. It can back up your device and sync data between devices, so you always have access to the latest versions of your files on all of your devices. The iCloud service is very easy to use. You can set it up in just a few minutes; after that, you're ready to go. You can also start using iCloud immediately if you sign up for an Apple ID—the account that allows you access to your purchases on the iTunes Store, Apple's App Store, and other services offered by the company. You can also share files with friends and family members through the service. A few clicks will get your file into their hands quickly and securely so they can enjoy what you've created or downloaded for them. You can also share files and folders with other Apple users, but only if they have an iCloud account.

Cons

iCloud is a bit more expensive than some of the competition, but not by much. The iCloud web interface is pretty limited. It's not as bad as some cloud storage services, but it's not the best, either.

iCloud review from my perspective

I enjoy several features of the iCloud service, including the simplicity with which backups can be performed, as well as the speed with which they can be performed directly on the iPhone. I dislike the five GB of space they provide the user with; it should be more. I use iCloud to save the most valuable videos and photos possible for backup purposes and backup WhatsApp.

Pros

The most valuable feature of I Cloud is how you can store your data for business or personal use in a secure location without having to worry about it. In recent years, as data and required documents and images increased, it became difficult to maintain storage, and you were forced to bring several devices. With I Cloud, you no longer needed to.

Cons

A reliable and effective method of storing documents and files for Apple product users, where your files and data are protected, is a proper backup solution. It's has an excellent user interface; I've been using it effectively for two years without encountering a single problem. The only thing that needs to be revised is the pricing structure, as it varies by country and by length.

Recommendation review

My overall experience with iCloud is extremely positive

Pros

I love it. I am apple user and the use of iCloud makes my day easy. The fact that all my information is stored in one place and I can access it for any device is amazing

Cons

The least thing I do not Like is that the iCloud is pricy, but in the end is worth it

iCloud a great set of tools from Apple

As an Apple user, I have had a great experience with it and enjoy using.

Pros

iCloud is a good productivity, sharing, and data centralization cloud platform

Cons

Stalled developmnt. It feels like Apple has not made any new improvements or added features to the platform.

Alternatives Considered

Dropbox Business and OneDrive

Reasons for Switching to iCloud

i chose to purchase iCloud+ because it works great with my Apple iPhone and Macs and other apple products. None the less I still use the free version of Dropbox and the OneDrive storage that is part of my Microsoft 365 subscriptions

iCloud, its OK

iCloud is ok. But its limited. You can't really use it for storage, like you would with Dropbox, it just doesn't work that way. Not sure why Apple doesn't compete. Storing large files or folders always leads to trouble I find. It's also very expensive when you push past the first paid-for level, with the price increasing x3!! Nuts

Pros

As an apple device user iCloud works perfectly between devices, I've three on my desk right now all of which can easily access my shared files and folders. It's also perfect for photo back up and sharing. If you're a windows user however, its limited I feel.

Cons

Firstly, for what it is, it's expensive. Not to start with, but when you need the upgrades.

Right now I have 200 gig, it costs here in the UK £2.99. I could do with another 100/200 gigs as my storage is running low. However the next upgrade option is £8.99! Sure you get 2TB for that amount. But I don't need that. The leap between the two price points is too large. Which is why I use Microsoft Office instead. For way LESS than Apples £8.99 pm you get the full office suit of programs, PLUS online storage of 1 TB. It's a no brainer. So I use iCloud for photos, files and device backup. And OneDrive for my storage. Plus the bonus of Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Alternatives Considered

OneDrive and Backblaze Computer Backup

Reasons for Switching to iCloud

I use OneDrive alongside iCloud, these two subscriptions cover my needs. I used to use Backblaze, but when working with large files, the backup process was too slow and stressed out my machines. Making small changes to files of 2 gigs or more would slow everything way down. It's also pricy for what it is.
