Pros

Terrible Customer Service
They made a huge change without notifying us, without offering training on the changes, we have 42 subcontractors and more than 300 regular customers who are being impacted by the big mess you are causing. We report this anyone fix this error, we waiting for 3 days and nothing.
The customers of the day are showing up the day before, I have 42 people works with me calling me lost and nothing has been resolved so far.
I can't wait for this, with 1 day of delay in payment you start removing functionalities from the system and there are 3 days of this horrible delivery service with the new system and no response.
Pros
When I started use everything doing well but every implementation they did is a disaster for clients.

The error persists! They made a huge change without notifying us.

Beyond Excellent!
I have had only one technical problem with Kickserv and the issue was caused not by Kickserv, but by an Android update on an a specific phone. The day I reported the issue I received a telephone call from an English speaking representative in the United States to gather more information. The problem was resolved within 48 hours and I received a follow-up telephone call from the same representative to insure the issue was resolved. Kudos!
Pros
I have used other service industry apps and Kickserv is by far the most user-friendly, feature packed app I have found. I hate paperwork and this app makes it basically paperless. Bravo! I would whole heartedly recommend this app to any business in the service industry.
Cons
The app is all server-side, so accessing any data is 100% reliant on having an internet connection. It would be helpful if the data were synced and also kept user-side.

when I call in with a problem, they answer, if the techs dont know something they will get back to you and they do. the platform is reliable and resonably user friendly.

the two boys down is Texas that are tech service for my area. Know there craft, personable. This makes me feal like I'm dealing with a small town mom and pop shop and that keeps me as a customer, Should you guys remove or change people like this. Great for starters and small businesses!
Overall, for the price, I am happy. I recommend Kickserv to anyone getting started with their business. Small businesses, especially! I will continue to use Kickserv- they are constantly doing updates to fix little bugs here and there.
Pros
This software is user-friendly for the most part. It provides all the basic features you need to schedule, create a work order and assign to employees, invoice customers, and sync to your accounting system.
Cons
I mostly suggest the technician app be updated. I have found that 100% of my technicians are great at labor work, but not so great at navigating apps and using phones. Maybe even just offering more education/user guides for techs would help. Also, wish there was more of a way to have intercommunication between departments; assign tasks to office team, to do lists, etc

Service based business software for the little guy!
Kickserv gives me everything I need to run my business. My customers can request quotes from my website using the embedded contact form, I can manage scheduling, create invoices, track repairs and even share regular updates with my customers through the customer center.
Pros
Kickserv makes it easy to create customer databases, work orders, schedule repairs and invoice customers. It’s the easiest to use that I’ve found and covers everything that a new business needs on a day-today basis.
Cons
There is no ability to log cash or check payments in the free version.

Web vs app
I use Kickserv daily with estimates and putting a job together. I enjoy that when I schedule a job it notifies the customer when the scheduled job is and what time. It also explains what it is we are coming to the residents for. Communication is key.
Pros
I liked the fact that the browser I'm able to control all my jobs in one place. I'm able to go to the kickserv and go to my customer and go right to his address and maps to the residence as well as press on the phone number and it call right from the customers information.
Cons
The one thing I don't like is that the app and the web browser is inconsitence with one another

Fantastic field management software
My construction company uses kickserv to input customers, send estimates, sign contracts, schedule work, invoice and run several useful reports.
Pros
Report running features of open estimates and completed jobs. Customer database is great. Recently docusign upped their pricing and we switched to kickserv e-signatures, we expected our homeowners to question the legitimacy but no one has and we have had 0% increase in cancellations since making the switch to the kickserv electronic signatures.
Cons
Kickserv uses apple maps on mobile which can cause navigation problems at times. You have to make sure your calendar settings are for the full day, not just business hours or you can miss some jobs when moving them on the calendar if you are not careful with the times.

My pocket assistant...
Kickserv helps me solve a problem or answer a question daily, whether it's using it to read the estimate or navigate to my appointment.
Pros
Kickserv is a very user friendly product I had no experience with prior to my current position. Without Kickserv, the learning curve would have been much...curvier. This allowed me quickly find which projects I needed to collect on and which ones I could start immediately. I could also refer to my contact list and projects so I didn't have to rely on paper files or memory.
Cons
I would like it to be more automated on calls and emails made through Kickserv to capture the email or conversation and last touch.

2022 Kickserv year in review
Kickserv has kicked butt. It does almost everything we need. It is easy to use so even new hires are up and running with minimal instruction with regards to the app. The customer service is some of the best I have experienced.
Pros
The ease of use for everyone from administration to the in-the-field techs. And the customer support is simply awesome. I have yet to have a question that was not answered quickly and correctly.

It is quite user friendly and if you do not understand something - ask customer support and they will reeply within the hour typically within a couple minutes.
Cons
The cellphone version is still a work in progress - It works great for basic scheduling, but you can't schedule reminders, for instance, other than through a computer.

The old system service psychic was very useful and user-friendly. The new software is terrible.
During the service sidekick years, many. During the kick serve years nearly 0 other than scheduling.
Pros
The calendar is the biggest strength of this program. I like being able to use colors for different types of jobs. Also when you move something on the calendar it automatically updates. Our new software does not do that and I miss it. Service psychic used to be very easy to add people into the system and get them scheduled. Kick serve was not. The quick add was a great function when we were at tradeshows or when you're on the phone with a customer.
Cons
The reporting is near worthless. None of the reports are ever accurate, and trying to get someone to help you make them accurate was like banging your head against a wall. The system was incredibly unreliable It is constantly going down. For a web-based system, businesses rely on its functionality during business hours. We had many days of inability to use the system. They're always seem to be some reason why it crashed. The system was much much better when it was service sidekick. We had to build a salesforce software system because it was so dysfunctional. The customer service was also incredibly bad.

We migrated hundreds of our original customers from our legacy system to Kickserv starting in April 2017 through May 2017. We inherited some issues that we certainly should have anticipated or planned for. We did find a couple processing issues bringing on all those older accounts so quickly. We have since cleared those problems and added many more resources to handle much more growth.
We sincerely apologize to all our loyal customers for enduring those weeks of processing delays.

5 year user of Service Sidekick now KickServ
Service Sidekick was a great product, they now forced all of their customers to Kickserv. They did the changeover at 10am on a weekday when it was scheduled for 10pm. We were down all day and received no apology. The changeover broke several systems. It no longer syncs to quickbooks correctly. When a task is made for someone it no longer tells people who made it and the Kickserv team is basically AFK.

I like how easy it used to be to use. If I had to buy the new kickserv I would run away screaming
Cons
Terrible interface. Terrible tech support. Very slow. Incredibly convoluted. First you make a job with charges, then you have to "generate an Invoice" from that job, then you can enter a payment, then after entering that you can mark it paid, then after doing all of that you can mark the job complete. What a nightmare.
Customers are syncing to the wrong customers in Quickbooks, which has caused an accounting nightmare.

As you mentioned, the upgrade process did not go as planned. Your upgrade was completed later than expected, due to an unforeseen issue with another account's upgrade. We're truly sorry this happened.
After the upgrade, we discovered that you had recently changed your QuickBooks sales tax codes, which inadvertently left 97 of your 4997 customers without a proper sales tax code. We reset your sales tax code for those 97 records so that your taxes calculated properly.
We worked with you extensively over phone and screen share until we resolved these and other issues to your satisfaction.
It sounds like there are some things you don't like about the new interface. We would love to hear more about your concerns and also invite you to a free training session where we can discuss the changes in detail.

Great for small businesses
All in all, I'm happy with this system. When I run into issues, I am confident that I can get it resolved quickly.
Pros
It works perfectly for my business. It is simple and easy to use, and the customer support is excellent.
Cons
The reporting function is not intuitive at all. The filter section is very difficult to use, mainly because the values and formats the last field are based on the way KS is designed, and there is no way to know what they are.

We love the convience of Kickserv!
We have been using Kickserv since 2012, overall we havent hads any problems with it. Kickserv is convient, essential for your business, easy to use, beneficial, efficent and the customner support team is amazing. The design team has also reahed out to us and we love giving our feedback, espically since we are one of Kickserv's 1st customers.

Using the phone system is fairly difficult and laggy. It doesnt have all the fewatures when compared to using on a comptuer, but it does the job.

It has been great; KS doesn't let you proceed when adding customers in if something important is missing, which is excellent.
Pros
How easily you can look up your customer, whether by account number, last name, address. You cant go wrong.
Cons
At this point I have not come across any snags, and when I do I use the HELP button which is great.

Overall easy to use. Quirky on what can be synced with Quickbooks
Easy appointment scheduling, which is our main goal. We do not use it for tech in the field, but we do print our work orders for them. Customer service is quick.
Pros
Ease of appointments and overall layout of the calendar makes using the appointments end of the program easy.
Cons
We back all of our info into Quickbooks. You can not start an estimate in kickserv and sync it to QB. Only invoicing can be synced. If you do an invoice and sync it in kickserv, you can not make a change to the invoice on the kickserv side.

Most intuitive program I’ve used
Nothing but praise for everything and everyone we ever interacted with. 14 years of happiness!
Pros
We like the Resources Calendar week at a glance the most. Easy to see where every tech is scheduled, how long each job should take, and color coded by type of job, which we set up. This program is very intuitive to use, with large screens and no tiny fields that fill up a screen that you don’t need or care about using. We’ve been forced to use other big name programs by our franchise, which no one we talked to liked at all, but we always kept Kickserv throughout as our main go to. It’s iPhone easy to use! Skip the CRM that advertised during the Super Bowl. We and everyone we know hated it.
Cons
The only thing that was a problem was when it stopped syncing to desktop QuickBooks 2009. We didn’t upgrade QB, and had to manually enter sold jobs. It was worth it to us to not have to buy another QB program

Great Software
Just having everything in one place is great! My boss has more experience with account management software and he really likes this one. He likes they are updating their software frequently and adding new features that help us, like the dispatch and map feature.Early on, I talked/chatted with your customer service reps and asked a million questions. They were great and were very patient with me. I haven't had to bother them as much lately, but they are always accessible and helpful.
Pros
Easy to use.Easy to change products and prices.Love the reminders option and scheduling option.Love the response time and advice from the team when I ask crazy questions!
Cons
The mobile part of the software could use some help, from our perspective. We have issues with attachments and being able to view them in the field. We realize that some of our issues could be user error.

Kickserv Kicks Ass
Excellent product and fast, reliable support.
Pros
Kickserv is easy to use and easy to learn. It has more than enough functionality for my small business and integrates well with the Stripe payment system. The scheduling and calendar feature are extremely useful in daily planning.
Cons
The home page is useless. Some of the reporting functions need work.

Shane - that is sort of an unofficial motto "it's that easy". And the fact you are finding that collecting your money is a snap using Stripe is great news. The dashboard of the application is for the owner to manage their Customer flow line (Opportunity > won > job > follow-up > invoicing > to collecting payment). Great for One Tech
I enjoy using the product from my desk and the tech doesn't have any complaints from the app.
Pros
I like that i can invoice the job with clear notes and history to the clients from my tech. Scheduling is easy.
Cons
Wish there was a way to alert the tech out of the app. I review a work order and see I need more notes or need him to advise on a part # so that I can quote. I have no way to tell him this other than to copy the notes and email him separately.

Servicing Company - Long-time User
Generally very good.
Pros
- As a CRM software, we are able to manage all of our customers, scheduling, invoicing and reporting (not as bookkeeping or Financial Statements) in a generally good way.
- The inter-connectionedness of the various parts of the software makes it easy to navigate from one function to another.
- Although there has been some down time (which can be very difficult because we cannot function), but over the long-term it has not be crucial. Being an online CRM allows me to use any device.
- We are able to save virtually anything (pics, docs, etc.) for future use, which has been crucially important to us.
- The integration with Stripe for payment from our customers is now essential to our processes. It has worked flawlessly, easy to use, and easy to deal with Stripe for various things we need to do, including refunds.
- It works well for both our field service and in-shop jobs. This is crucial because using two systems would be very difficult.
-We are easily able to tailor the Products/Services, pricing, descriptions, to our specific needs - not being locked into some format that we don't like.
Cons
- Support is sometimes tedious.
- New features added (if we find out about them at all) can be very disruptive to our processes, and confusing. While some of them make sense in a wider world, they sometimes are baffling and frustrating in our business.
- We have 2 locations (and hope to have many more) and need to have separate systems. Kickserv requires us to use separate browsers for each. How are we going to be able to do that with 5 or 10 locations? And we're finding that some functions (e.g. access to support!) are no longer working on Firefox, one of the best and most popular browsers available. This is a serious problem for us.
- Although a great deal of our business is field work, we do not/cannot use the mobile app with our techs because it is far too limiting. They need to be able to access much more information than what is available to them, and so we have them login through a browser on their phones.
- There are essential functions that we have to do in business that Kickserv has not been able to program into the system (even when we offered to pay big $ to get them). E.g. There are several email templates, and auto sending emails: We need one to be sent as a follow up to Jobs, and another (sent out 6 or 12 months later) to remind people to schedule services . We have to do all of this manually, and would love to find a way to get it done automatically. Summary: Some things are hard to get into the software that other companies would also make good use of.

Best Value for Scheduling/invoicing software
Overall, I have been more than satisfied with Kickserv. I initially navigated the platform pretty easily, along with ample help from the support team. Whenever I experience a problem, I receive help via the chat function from the same customer support members who are quick to provide solutions.
Pros
This product makes it easy to store a lot of data for our business including customers, project history, photos of job sites, notes for customers, dispatching crews to jobs, invoicing customers.
Cons
We experience some software bugs throughout use, which are often resolved with time. If I delete something on accident, there is not an undo button. If we change an estimate for a customer, there is no easy access to old records of past versions of the estimate unless we duplicate them every time we make a change. This can put us in a situation sometimes we are trying to substantiate claims to contractors about original estimates and the changes we made. Sometimes Kickserv will not work at all for a short period of time while our crews are on jobsites trying to upload photos/information or find their next jobsite, though this fairly rare. I wish there was an option to not allow credit card payments for certain invoices such as our contractors who are much larger jobs. Though, we have worked around this with different options such as sending a PDF instead.

I did a one hour conference call with the ServiceTitan team and the platform seemed like it would be difficult to learn and was extremely expensive. They promised we would save money with the efficiencies the program would provide, but I just did not see it. Kickserv is a great app that I have used for my Piano Service Company.
Pros
All inclusive connectivity of all the data needed to run my (Piano Service) business. I consider myself a fairly expert user of kickserv, using it from its early inception, then called ' Service Sidekick'. I am totally on board to help bring it to its fullest potential, so dont take the cons section too hard...I use the system every day, all through the day, and my entire operation depends on this most awesome application.
Cons
Software is gradually degrading. Latest update published makes KS sluggish, screen freezes constantly during scrolling. Reports have been altered to the point of useless.
Quadruple redundant data entry, creating and closing an event, then a job.
No auto fill on repeated fields.
Phone numbers require dashes be entered. Format the field for straight 10 digit entry.
Area code, city, and state are almost always the same in my service area. Why dont these fields hold and auto fill the last data entered? Internet standard these days is that the state is a 'state' field, only accepting 2 CAP characters in verified state identifiers.
No notification if email is successful, and no notice when messages fail. This has caught me with my pants down with customers...( yes customers, not contacts) emailing time sensitive invoices and opportunitys.... guys, they are ESTIMATES, Not opportunitys!!
Stripe send a payment received email notification...Awesome.
The text is the problem. First words of auto generated notification says Congratulations!.
Congratulations? We are small businesses....we take money, every day, all day. It is inapropriate, and smacks of a Condesending viewpoint.
Miss labled fields: My customers are my 'customers' , not my 'contacts'. New address verify is great on service address, Why does it not verify billing address? Getting paid is a very important aspect of small business. Makes no sense.

We agree that April and May were not good months for Kickserv. We are so very sorry. We did correct the couple of issues that were inherited from the massive migration of hundreds of original customers from our legacy platform. We regret not anticipating those issues prior.
I would like to clarify some points you made:
1. We do not require dashes in phone numbers fields.
2. We do indicate if an email has failed in your Dashboard > email activity page.
3. Opportunities is a way to make our program more applicable to more people. When you do send out the template it does say estimate. We can help you with how it looks if you need something custom. Let me know.
4. Regarding your comment about the billing address, typically we are not verifying the address so much as we are just indicating on the map where that service address located for routing purposes and driving instructions.
