### "Clear and easy to use. Customizable and modular." — 4.0/5

> **Simon** | *3 March 2026* | Medical Devices | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Clear layout and workflow. It is easy to see how items move through the process and become items. It is also easy to add custom fields to the pages.
>
> **Cons**: Some customizations are more difficult to find. They are hidden away in setting and it might not be readily apparent where to go to make the change.
>
> Great support with a really responsive team. Easy to use product which allows our team to collaborate and ensure records move through the process in a way which is clear to all. It is also modular as we do not have to use, or even install optional parts of the program we will not use.

### "Our Experience Implementing Propel: Benefits, Trade-Offs, and Lessons Learned" — 5.0/5

> **Colton** | *3 March 2026* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: From my perspective, the biggest thing people like is that it’s built natively on Salesforce. I don’t have to bolt together a separate PLM and CRM and then fight integrations. My product data, customer data, cases, opportunities, and quality records all live on the same platform. That unified data model is a huge advantage, especially when I need engineering, quality, and commercial teams aligned around the same product record.

I also really value the user experience. Compared to legacy PLM systems, Propel feels intuitive and configurable without being overly complex. I can tailor workflows, page layouts, and approvals to match our actual business processes instead of forcing the business to adapt to the tool. That flexibility is a big deal when products, teams, and compliance requirements evolve.

Another thing I appreciate is how Propel handles change management and quality in a structured but transparent way. Engineering change orders (ECOs), deviations, CAPAs, complaints—everything is traceable and connected. I get end-to-end visibility from idea to release to post-market feedback, which makes audits and cross-functional collaboration much smoother.

Speed of deployment is another common theme. Because it’s on Salesforce, implementation can move faster than traditional on-prem PLM systems. I’m not waiting months for heavy infrastructure work. Updates are continuous, and I benefit from Salesforce’s security, scalability, and ecosystem.

Finally, I like that Propel bridges product and customer. When there’s a field issue or complaint, I can trace it back to a specific revision, supplier, or change. That closed-loop feedback between product development and customer experience is something I don’t get from disconnected systems.

In short, what I like most is that Propel feels like a modern, connected PLM that brings product, quality, and customer together on a single platform without the overhead of legacy systems.
>
> **Cons**: From my experience, there are a few trade-offs with Propel that are worth acknowledging.

One challenge for me is that because it’s built on Salesforce, I need Salesforce expertise in-house (or a strong partner). If my team doesn’t already understand the Salesforce data model, security model, and configuration paradigm, there’s a learning curve. It’s powerful, but that power comes with architectural complexity.

I’ve also found that while Propel is flexible, deep customization can become expensive or hard to maintain if I’m not disciplined. If I over-engineer workflows, custom objects, or automations, upgrades and long-term governance can get messy. I have to treat it like an enterprise platform, not just a point solution.

Another downside for me is that it may not be as feature-deep in certain highly specialized manufacturing areas compared to some legacy, manufacturing-centric PLM systems. If I have extremely complex CAD integrations, advanced manufacturing process planning, or heavy ERP-driven use cases, I may need additional tools or tighter integrations.

Performance can also depend on how well my Salesforce org is managed. Since Propel runs on the same instance as other business systems, poor data hygiene, excessive automation, or bad architecture elsewhere in Salesforce can impact the PLM experience.

Cost is another factor. Between Salesforce licenses, Propel licenses, implementation services, and ongoing administration, the total cost of ownership can be significant. It’s not just a software purchase; it’s a platform investment.

Lastly, organizational change can be difficult. Because Propel connects engineering, quality, and commercial teams, I may uncover process gaps or cultural silos. The system can handle cross-functional workflows—but my organization has to be ready to operate that way.

In short, while I see Propel as modern and flexible, I have to be prepared for Salesforce dependency, architectural governance, potential feature gaps for niche use cases, and meaningful investment in both cost and change management.
>
> Overall, my experience with Propel has been largely positive, with a few meaningful lessons along the way.

When we first implemented Propel, I was looking for a PLM system that didn’t feel like legacy infrastructure, something that could connect engineering, quality, and commercial teams without constant integration work. What stood out immediately was that it’s built natively on Salesforce. Having product data, customer records, cases, and change processes all on the same platform fundamentally changed how we operate. I no longer have to reconcile data across disconnected systems or question which system holds the “source of truth.”

From a change management standpoint, Propel has been a strong fit. Our ECO and deviation processes are now standardized, traceable, and auditable. I have full visibility into revision history, approvals, and downstream impact. Audits feel more controlled, and cross-functional collaboration is more structured. I particularly value the closed-loop feedback between quality events and product updates, it’s much easier to tie a complaint back to a specific revision or supplier.

That said, implementation was not trivial. Because Propel sits on Salesforce, we had to be disciplined about data architecture, security roles, and automation. It forced us to mature our Salesforce governance. At times, the flexibility of the platform felt like a double-edged sword, if we weren’t careful, we could over-configure processes. We learned quickly that simplicity and governance matter.

I also noticed that while Propel excels at connecting product and customer processes, it isn’t always as deep in highly specialized manufacturing workflows as some legacy PLM systems. For our use case, that trade-off was acceptable, but it’s something I had to evaluate carefully.

From a user adoption perspective, the modern interface helped significantly. Our teams didn’t resist it the way they have with older PLM systems. Training cycles were shorter, and the alignment between engineering and commercial teams improved because everyone could see the same product record in context.

Financially, it’s a platform investment. Between Salesforce and Propel licensing plus implementation, the cost is meaningful. However, when I look at reduced manual reconciliation, improved audit readiness, and faster change cycles, I see clear operational ROI.

In summary, my overall experience with Propel has been that of a modern, connected PLM solution that strengthens cross-functional alignment and product visibility. It requires architectural discipline and organizational maturity, but when implemented thoughtfully, it becomes a strategic system rather than just a compliance tool.

### "Propel Document management and qulity management reviews" — 3.0/5

> **Ramin** | *19 March 2025* | Biotechnology | Recommendation rating: 2.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It is very flexible, can be set up based on the intended purpose. The user interface is straightforward.
>
> **Cons**: there are lots of bugs. for example creating and exporting PDF reports do not work. or after we updated to a news revision last year, there was a limitation on File lenghts that was not there before. these issues atre fixed in subsequent releases However, for us to upgrade we need to go through a validation process that is costly and time consuming.
>
> to me it looks like any other document control system. It does not have any feature that stands out.

### "Propel, the best eQMS tool available in the market\!" — 5.0/5

> **Gabriela** | *28 May 2025* | Medical Devices | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: What I love most about Propel is its incredible efficiency and comprehensive functionality. It’s an all-in-one powerhouse that keeps our entire eQMS on track and aligned with regulatory requirements.
>
> **Cons**: As a fully remote company, one challenge we've encountered is the lack of flexibility with the Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) system. Currently, users outside of recognized IP addresses must manually input a token after their password, which can be inconvenient. Additionally, the absence of a mobile app limits our ability to manage approvals and training tasks on the go, which is a key need for remote teams like ours. Enhanced mobility and authentication flexibility would make the platform even more effective.
>
> Since implementing Propel QMS in January, the experience has been overwhelmingly positive. Managing documentation, tasks, and workflows has become significantly easier and more efficient. It’s clear that Propel has made a strong impact, streamlining our processes and enhancing collaboration across the board.

### "Propulsion 2025 experience" — 5.0/5

> **Lennie** | *29 May 2025* | Medical Devices | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The user group and the live demos to the new Propel features. The guest speakers were great as well\! I enjoyed all the AI discussions.
>
> **Cons**: The user group session room was too small and hard to hear the speakers. If each session had its own room, it would have helped.
>
> It was a great experience to network and meet Propel Staff in person. The user group was a great way to learn how others are using the system.
