By introducing Buildertrend, our labour force was able to enter all of their daily logs, expenses, and project updates all from their phone, which resulted in fewer lost documents, more daily awareness from all teams, and more than 30 hours saved in manual data entry and filing time for the administrative team. I liked that our clients were able to view their own profiles and see the progress of their projects. It was convenient for the client, operations, project managers and labourers to see the schedule updates in real-time on their respective access. The customer support was also quiet engaged with our onboarding which made it less daunting for the large system change. > > **Cons**: This is quiet an expensive software for a small company to manage, and I found their sales team to be a bit pushy regarding add-ons even though we frequently reminded them that the add-ons were not applicable to our business, either due to structure or size, and out of price range. There was also a huge learning curve for all teams, but they prioritized the operations team and barely spent time answering questions we had for the labourer's view. The sales tab has everything you need to effectively manage leads with sections for notes, schedule follow ups and log conversations. Other than what you would expect in the project management tab (schedule, to-dos), what we find most helpful are the daily logs and client updates. Client updates feature is very popular with our clients and the AI feature to pull photos and generate a summary for the client is gold. The cost inbox is another favorite feature of ours. It is one big container for all receipts where they can, one by one, be assigned to the correct job. > > **Cons**: The reporting section is improving but still needs more robust and reliable reporting. Sometimes Buildertrend’s eagerness for constant improvement makes the portal more convoluted and makes some features redundant. For example, there is the ToDos feature and the Tasks feature. Also the cost inbox and the ability to drag or upload a receipt in the bills section is too much. I also would like to see a more robust, customizable and visually appealing Builder Dashboard as there currently isn’t one, really.
