About Adobe Connect

Adobe Connect is a web conferencing software solution used by companies for conducting online meetings, webinars and training sessions. The solution is for adhoc collaboration as well as planned online meetings. The solution enables online audio and video collaboration across devices (including mobile platforms). Participants using desktops can join meetings without installing any software. Adobe Connect Webinars offers features such as email integration and conference rooms that can be customized by users. The application also includes visualization tools such as polls, chat, whiteboards, and a console for mixing video streams for increasing participant engagement. Adobe Connect has a web-based learning solution designed for interactive training. Presenters can monitor participant engagement, create persistent virtual classrooms, and integrate the software with an existing learning management system (LMS). Features such as games, quizzes, tests, and surveys allow businesses to use Adobe Connect in place of learning management system (LMS). Trainers can train employees directly from their mobile devices. The software is available for a limited period free trial.

Get connected with Adobe

Enjoyed using it as it made employees who both work at home and in office available to access the same workbooks

Pros

Adobe connect is great for our hybrid work environment, when we have specific trainings that require workbooks now we can all be in one classroom setting and know that everyone is there and being attentive

Cons

Adobe connect does seem a bit dated compared to newer softwares and it’s UI shows that, doesn’t have the best video quality either which is why we use it to partner with zoom and open the connect separately

Adobe Connect: a complete software for online meetings

In general, my experience with Adobe Connect is complete, as I was lucky to use almost all the features and functions that it offers, most of them worked correctly and all of them had the ease of customization and configuration to suit everyone's tastes. Although I don't use it for a long time due to policy changes at my university, it gives me a great experience in the world of virtual classes and if I had the opportunity and enough money to use it, I would.

Pros

As a student and future professional who participated in numerous online meetings and events due to the Covid-19 pandemic, I was pleased to try Adobe Connect and have come to the conclusion: I am amazed at its ability to host meetings and events of any size by offering a platform with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface, which allowed me and other users to join meetings without problems and actively participate in them. On the other hand, the quality of audio and video in Adobe Connect is exceptional thanks to its HD video conferencing and the range of customization options, which allowed us all the ease of configuring audio and video according to our needs. Another significant advantage of Adobe Connect is its robust security as doing some research I found that the platform uses SSL encryption and offers customizable authentication and authorization options, ensuring meetings are safe and secure.

Cons

On the other hand, a peculiar negative point of this platform is its cost, Adobe Connect is a software solution for paid virtual meetings and certain companies or individual users may consider that it is expensive, so they would opt for other free or of lower cost than this; Personally, I consider its price a bit high. Also, although the platform is easy to use in general, it can have a bit of a learning curve for some users less familiar with web conferencing tools, in my experience as a student I had classmates who couldn't use it nor did they let it. guide by the intuitive interface that it provides, but I already consider that more of a debatable problem.

Great tool for an online training class

As a presenter, it is great to know that you will be the only one who can start the conference and there are not chitchats on the side while you are out. However, it will also be a downside since if the presenter is late then no other people can start the conference which can be a waste of time.

Pros

The software provides reporting capabilities on the timestamps of the attendees which makes the attendance reporting of a training class easier than to do it manually.

Cons

While the presenter can manage the microphone usage of the attendees, it is hard as a user to maintain a quiet background because as a user, I did not locate the noise cancellation option.

Adobe Connect - The Best Video Conferencing Software

Overall, I really like adobe connect and prefer it over Microsoft Teams. I feel it has more features and fewer bugs than Microsoft Teams.

Pros

The best feature about this software was the intuitive layout. Users don't need to spend a lot of time figuring out how to use the software. I also really liked the whiteboard area where leaders can post messages to display key data that won't be lost in a chat string, or covered up by screen sharing.

Cons

My least favorite thing about this software is that sometimes the transitions can be jarring when switching to video sharing. The screen seems to stutter.

Robust webinar platform

This platform saves us a ton of money vs. in-person meetings. It's good enough to provide an experience that can substitute for most in-person meetings. We also do numerous training sessions with this platform, record them, and make them available to our partners.

Pros

We probably don't use 30% of the features during any given meeting, but it's nice to have the flexibility of breakout sessions, whiteboards, video conferencing, etc. Most of our sessions are simple PowerPoints uploaded into the room, utilizing integrated telephony and chat for communication. But the system is robust, offering just about anything you could imagine doing in an online meeting. We record most of our sessions, and Adobe offers good tools for editing the recordings, which can then be shared right from Adobe's platform. The pods available in the room allow for document sharing during the meeting, the playing of audio and video files, polling and surveys, and of course screen sharing. The new HTML client means participants don't have to leave the browser to engage in meetings any more, and there is a mobile client for joining meetings via Android or iOS. The admin interface offers branding so you can ensure all the meetings have your company's logo and colors. All in all, it's a pretty slick package.

Cons

My biggest gripe with Adobe Connect is the necessity of engaging a third party in order to achieve integrated telephony. This should be included. To be clear, VOIP is included. I'm simply talking about the ability of participants to call in to a meeting using a regular phone requires a third party. While it's not enough to make me seek a different webinar platform, it is shocking that Adobe has not addressed this glaring issue. The only issue I have with the platform is playing long videos during meetings never seem to work, and it has forced us to all but exclude video from our presentations.

Great for Online Learning but Large Groups are Difficult!

Overall, I have used this program on a daily basis for live, synchronous contact as well as creating recorded lessons. This is invaluable to my online teaching experience. However, I would like to see the functionality and features improved, as well as the ability to teach a greater number of students without delays or disturbances to the lesson.

Pros

I use this on a daily basis for online teaching and learning. Some of the features I found most useful are the different pods for students to respond in, providing interaction and collaboration. Students can draw on the whiteboard, chat in the chat pod, select from multiple choice questions created by the teacher, "raise their hand" using a button, and provide feedback by clicking the different status buttons (green check, red x, etc.). They can also turn on their microphones to answer questions. I am able to pull in videos, files, and presentations for teaching.

Cons

The program runs very slow as more students join. Large groups are not necessarily a problem unless you ask students to begin using microphones or the whiteboard. At that point, I have experienced delays and even crashes, although those are not as common as severe delays. In my experience, any group above 20 students delays the more interactive features (mainly the microphones and whiteboard). This is discouraging since interaction is important to effective teaching and learning. One feature that was taken away that I would like to see re-added is the entry message. When a student "knocks" at the door to enter the classroom, the teacher/user used to be able to save a message for the student to see, such as, "I am out of the office today." I think this feature must have been removed, but I found it extremely beneficial when needing to continue a lesson with one student and ask another to wait.

Collaboration with the audience must be easier

We have been able to meet with our students.
We would expect an improved UI design, easer to use icons and tabs both for the students and the presenters.
It looks primitive when compared to other popular applications. (Zoom, Tandem, Meets)

Pros

Adobe Connect features specific sections for notes, easy surveys, screen shares, and document uploads which are really cool if you manage are planning to lecture with little interaction with the audience. You can present your work, get audience opinions via polls and sketch on the shared files.

Cons

We have been using the program since the outbreak of Covid19 around March and the overall concern of many of the teachers is that they cannot indulge the students into the meeting. The reasons stated (and I also experience) are: students have conncetion problems starting the porgram, they log off when trying to activate mic or camera, once the voice is activated you have to wait some time to hear the student as the system activates and lets him/her heard by the others. Overall, this pai program makes me (and the other personnel) feel that the free version of other programs (Zoom maybe) works better for video conferencing and collaborative teaching.

Pros

It has an elegant simplified interface that allows you to focus on common places of work. It allows video meetings with high quality. A whiteboard can be created and used to dynamically share and display information. Chat provides the ability to communicate and share content in real time.

Cons

This is a very complete and efficient platform. So far the only downside is the simplicity of some of its features.

A software that allows us not to leave pending assignments for later

Pros

Due to my duties within the corporation where I live, we have to make trips to the interior of the country and abroad in order to attend petroleum meetings, chemistry or simply go to recondite places where it is presumed there will be future oil exploitation.

In this absence to our natural workspace, Adobe Connect plays a fundamental role, since, among its many benefits, one of the most important and for which we use the software the most, is that we can make meeting rooms online, from a Android device, tablet or IOS, with our immediate supervisors, managers and managers, making daily reports of the progress we are making in the external areas where we are working.

This incalculable goodness saves us incalculable resources of time and money, since only from our cell phone or tablet, we can be making timely advances in the site in an effective way and with the greater security that only Adobe Connect can offer.

Cons

When I have had to set up an online room to set up meetings, complications have arisen based on some complex tools that the software has. While it is not a problem in itself of the functionality of the software, it is a point that should be taken into account so that the next updates are easier to use and so everyone can use the software in a simple way.

Adobe Connect - hard to figure out but once you do it is useful

It is a love hate relationship for me with this product. I have to use it for work but at times it drives me crazy. After over a year I feel like I am more comfortable with it but normally I can learn how to use other programs faster and more easily.

Pros

This product is great for live and recorded classes, you can add your audio and video and share presentations and there is a built in pointer. There is a participants pod and chat pod and you can share files and use a white board.

Cons

It was so hard to use when I first had to make a trial video. I had to watch numerous YouTube videos to help me figure it out, whereas I can normally figure things out on my own. Even after a year, I still forget how to find my videos and I forget to either add video, audio, share my video or record at some point. There are a lot of steps to making and recording a video, then finding it and making it public access.

Overcome the barriers of space thanks to this software.

Adobe Connect is one of the software I use most regularly when I hold high-level meetings, involving managers of other publishers, cultors, artists, musicians, and other members of the various publishing projects we intend to undertake.

Pros

Currently in our publishing house we have made many links with authors and musicians outside our latitudes, with whom we have developed joint work to align strategies for the construction of new books, where music and literary elements go from the hands of the experiences, anecdotes and stories of these authors.

Adobe Connect has been a fascinating tool, which has allowed us, among many things, to overcome this barrier of distance, thanks to a comfortable and highly interactive online conference room, where we interact and steal information according to our interests as a publisher. Another innovative element of this efficient software, is the possibility of establishing lines of work for each room in order to treat each topic with special depth, without combining themes or dispersing information. Another positive argument of this software is its warm and functional interface that segments the roles of each of the people who participate in videoconferences, making much easier the work of editorial research.

Cons

One of the impediments that seem when I use this software is that for some artists and developers it is not very easy to use, having to do small introductory courses to use it as I wish. This happens because there are certain aspects of computing and software management that are not so digestible. However, it is not such a big obstacle that it detracts from this incredible software.

A Solid Choice for a Virtual Classroom

Despite some hiccups, I've enjoyed using the platform overall.

Pros

The necessary components are all there for a virtual classroom. I think the breakout rooms work very nicely.

Cons

I've encountered several glitches in using this software, some of which might be a home internet problem, but other times they were on Adobe's end.

very complete tool for conferences, talks, videos... for a digital world

It is true that there are more and more tools of this type, but Adobe Connect has characteristics that make it stand out from the rest by showing many more options.

Pros

very good option for online conferences, meetings or different talks. What I value most about this tool is being able to access videos or recorded meetings.

Cons

This tool is very complete, for me there is no but, but it is true that if you are only looking for a simple software for meetings this is not it. since it has many more capabilities

Adobe Connect

Pros

Adobe Connect allows me to take my work on the road and dial-in on my phone. This allows me to have flexibility during my workday and be able to tune-in whenever, wherever.

Cons

I use Adobe Connect specifically on my phone in conjunction with the Forsta application. My only complaint is that is it difficult to login to the Forsta URL through the app, I can't chat live with my colleagues, and I can't exit out of the app and still listen to the meeting (more like a phone call). I'm not sure if this is due to Adobe Connect or Forsta, but improving these specific things would enhance my experience.

A platform for remote communication, information sharing, and meetings.

Adobe Connect is a comprehensive communication and collaboration platform for virtual meetings and distance learning. It is particularly beneficial in the field of education.

Pros

What I like about Adobe Connect is that you can create virtual meeting rooms where participants can share documents, presentations, and videos. They can use live chat or polls, etc., to interact.

Cons

What I don't like is perhaps the interface, which, in my opinion, is not very engaging.

adobe Sm

Pros

I had never used this product until the pandemic period, but the fact that some lessons continued online and the lessons continued with the ability to watch live and recording through this product showed that the product is very good if it is used actively and functionally.

Cons

I saw that there were problems in sharing files and annotations. I witnessed that the files sent to a 40-person class could not be forwarded to some of my friends. Also, it's not a bad feature, but I think it would be good to have 2 and 3x viewing formats for faster viewing of recorded videos.

A Welcome Addition to the "Virtual Meeting" Arena

Adobe Connect is intuitive and pretty self-explanatory, which it would have to be to compete with the ubiquitousness of platforms like Zoom and Skype. It's got the crisp and modern flair of virtual platforms like Facebook video but includes the professionalism and high-caliber respect needed for companies and agencies seeking a legitimate and user-friendly experience for hosting educational content, e-learning and training, and all the customer relationship management solutions their little hearts can come up with. Just a note to everyone getting ready to test the waters, it's easier to just dive in the deep end and download/trial Adobe Connect yourself than it is wade through their murky website's"how-to's"; luckily for them, their new product stands for itself and Adobe Connect is a bright and pleasing addition to the the world of shared virtual/digital experiences.

Pros

Adobe Connect makes a colorful splash into the world of virtual meetings and "sharing from a distance", Adobe with their sharp design and cheery, colorful user-interface. While better end-to-end experiences for smoother video and audio are promised, it was really their easy to personalize stage that allows each presenter to design a shared experience to fit their needs for that particular meeting. The favorite feature is definitely the customizable pods that allow a much needed dose of fun to be seamlessly integrated to any presentation and guarantees your audience isn't actually engaged and involved instead of "just there".

Cons

The Adobe website is very lacking and antiquated compared to the modernity of their new Connect platform. Although they are NOT lacking in online explanations, guides, videos and "how-to's"...the problem is that they're a mess. Their product pages are all over the place without any real internal linking or logical order/navigating, which made them hard understand and even harder to use a resource or solution.

So much potential but failed to deliver

The team put a HUGE amount of effort into converting our existing materials to Adobe Connect. We loved the all of the functionality that the platform provides - some of which are not available elsewhere to my knowledge. We ran the first few sessions on the new platform but it was just too unstable. The video quality for just about acceptable but the audio was just unacceptably unstable and was interfering with the learning process. Very disappointed to have had to drop the whole thing after so much effort went into making it work. Lots of promise but just did not deliver.

Pros

I absolutely love the concepts that Adobe have created in relation to online classrooms. The ability to create rooms and screens and views with elements that can be switched on and off is fantastic. The best feature for me is the ability to save these set-ups and re-use them over and over again. Run a session; save it; refresh it back to the start-up and run another session.Breakout rooms are great and with some work it is possible to set up shared whiteboards that the facilitator can monitor in real time without entering each of the rooms.

Cons

The biggest issue was the audio quality - or lack of it. It was OK most of the time - not great but useable. However it was often very poor and it became too much of a hurdle. We had to ditch the whole thing and revert to MS Teams. Most disappointing.

Adobe Connect appraised

I have found Adobe Connect to be the best online teaching platform I have used.

Pros

The ability to create so many different varieties of presentations. What at first seemed to be the complexity of the interface turns out to be not that complex but perhaps its greatest strength.

Cons

This is perhaps not like least situation. It appears however that now Adobe has almost completed the long transition. The problem as mentioned above was the very difficult task of painting the train while it was running.

A very sophisticated software and with the best options to make videoconferences.

Adobe Connect is one of the best options available on the market for high-quality video calls and video conferencing that meet demanding business standards. Using this software in my work I have improved my communication channels with both our patients and staff. In addition, we use this software for the training of personnel through formative videoconferences on preventive health, medical safety, improvement and care for our patients and other aspects. I recommend that you acquire this software and apply it in your work.

Pros

I use this software very regularly in my work, as it is one of the most efficient web videoconferencing platforms I have ever used. With Adobe Connect I can quickly establish communication with our clients and co-workers thanks to their wide conference rooms, which I manage by activating a password which I distribute to the participants of our meetings. Another very positive factor of this software, is the quality in audio and video in their videoconferences, the best. Adobe Connect has one of the best video conferencing systems, ideal for training personnel and to establish contact with customers and co-workers who are in other cities nationally and internationally. This quality offered by this software has perfected our work dynamics, improving the scope of our work and our business competitiveness. The communicative environment offered by this software is one of the best because you have the videoconference room and you have an interactive chat where you can add comments, upload search links, attach documents and much more. In addition to all of the above, Adobe Connect offers you an application that you can use on your Smartphone and use Adobe Connect anywhere you have an Internet connection.

Cons

It's such sophisticated software that you'll need a computer technician to make the necessary configurations to use the software at its maximum capacity. Apart from this difficulty to use it I have no more negative aspects to mention of this software.

Online teacher using Adobe Connect as virtual classroom

After using Adobe Connect for 3 years on a weekly basis, I have a appreciation for its potential as an educational tool, while a frustration with the severe limitations and lack of functionality. I can tell this is a program meant first and foremost as a tool for meetings, and I cannot endorse it as a regular digital classroom until some of the above issues are addressed.

Pros

Relatively straightforward to use. Allows for stable use of audio and visual communication with large groups. Layout feature makes transitioning between different topics smoother. Downloadable apps allow for the potential for customization. The recording and attendance function make disseminating information easy. Mobile apps allows for more diverse applications. Breakout rooms are an excellent tool for small group learning.

Cons

Base functionality is extremely limited. Notepods don't even have the sort of text modification present even in e-mails or notepad programs, making them extremely limited in use in a classroom. Most educational tools are locked behind a pay wall. The inability for more than one person to write in a notepod hinders collaboration. Inability to use presenter only area while in breakout rooms causes problems. The white board function is virtually unusable due to poor interface and inability to switch between functions smoothly. PDF files require constant resizing to get to a point where they are readable, and often have lots of wasted dead space. Word Files cannot be shared at all. When screen sharing it is difficult to access the functionality of the room itself. When using link pods, one person clicking the link opens it on everyone else's computer. There is severely limited flexibility when it comes to learning options for a classroom, especially for creating interactive experiences, such as games or worksheets. Private messages cannot be seen by the host, allowing students to talk to each other without supervision creating a risk for bullying and off topic conversation, and while private messaging can be turned off in the main room, it cannot be in Breakout Rooms, and turning off private messaging makes it difficult to provide SPED support to students without drawing the attention of classmates.
