> PRIMS or "Product Recipe Ingredient Management System" is recipe management software for programmable logic controller-based ingredient batching systems. It offers recipe management, batch management, inventory control, lot tracking and reporting within a suite. The product is available in on-premise deployment option and runs on Windows operating system.


PRIMS enables users to automate batching using formulations and send production schedules to the mixers. The system also enables users to record scaling deviations and ingredient usages.


PRIMS also features plant manufacturing execution, which allows users to control different stages in the manufacturing process - starting from ingredient selection to finished goods. The product also features compliance management, which helps users in managing HACCP, food safety compliance and ISA S88 standards.


The other features include finished goods shipping, nutrition labeling and costing analysis. The product offers per-user license pricing and is available in two versions - "Office" and "Enterprise".

> **Pros**: The system works with scheduling software ( build in), inventory software, and automatic mixing software.    It utilizes all three parts to keep our system whole with our utilizing other software from other vendors
> 
> **Cons**: The vendor is not very large so if there is an issue there are only so many people who can help to fix the issue.  ( we have only had one issue in 5 years)
