My favorite feature is SmartScan. I simply snap a photo of a receipt, and most of the time it fills in the merchant, date, and amount correctly. It saves me from typing everything out manually, which is a huge time saver. Another feature I’ve come to appreciate is being able to add notes after submitting an expense report. Every now and then I’ll remember something that would help explain a purchase, and being able to add that extra context makes life easier for the person reviewing my reimbursement. It’s a small feature, but it shows that the people who built Expensify really understood how expense approvals work in the real world. > > **Cons**: Honestly, I don’t have much to complain about. Every once in a while SmartScan gets something wrong, especially if a receipt isn’t very clear, but it’s usually just a quick edit and I’m done.
