Also the Client Server piece was removed in version 14 and many AP users prefer that to the web and it does have functionality that the web version does not . If you want automated payments you need to pay for a consultant to install that for you and pay for this as an additional. This comes standard with most software. The customer service is abysmal\! We have received quotes that were miles off and then once you sign up, you are informed that the cost is twice as much and so we decided to cancel the contract as it was no longer affordable. This lead to retaliation I would say from Unit 4, they no longer assisting with our queries and demanding payment for almost every little task even installing their own licenses\!\! They got a significant upgrade a year or so ago which made dramatic improvements to their app and web functioning. It is now very easy to use the app to take pictures of your expenses and upload them. Since I do expenses for my supervisor who travels A TON, she is able to upload her receipts and add a description. Unless the receipts come in an email, my workload has been significantly cut down. She was sending them to me by mail previously, which made the time on her end and on my financial team longer. The app improvement led to ease across my organization. > > **Cons**: You have to have someone on your end who is really diligent and skilled in their background processes to run this product on the back end. We have been flooded with errors and downtime when updates come out or when new employees come on board. I have been using it for years so I understand how it works but new employees don't necessarily like the functionality and have seen easier to use products. > > Overall, I'm a fan on Unit4. Their upgrade changed things for my workload and allowed me to be more efficient, timely, and error-free.
