Best templates for personal portfolios and e-commerce
Squarespace is a great website builder and e-commerce platform, capturing wide-ranging needs for both personal and business portfolios.
Pros
The simple interface was what I liked most, especially as someone who struggles with too much stimuli on the daily. I also appreciated the many available templates, which reduce decision fatigue but allows for small changes in design if desired. The new AI tool is helpful, as well.
Cons
The templates for online courses are lacking compared to other product-based web commerce templates.

Squarespace - For All Shapes and Sizes
Overall I am completely pleased with Squarespace. I feel all of the pros highly outweigh any cons that are involved.
Pros
I really enjoy the ease of Squarespace. It is very upfront in its ability to ensure usability for beginners as well as more in-depth processes for experts. It's easy, fast, and offers a great amount of support.
Cons
While there are not many things I dislike about Squarespace, the very thing I enjoy is also a perplexing issue. Correct placement is a bit harder to achieve when using the website builder. Also, a colleague mentioned Squarespace, in the past, had problems with backing up work.

Squarespace for the WIN!
My overall experience with square space is very good. They make it very convenient access your income, and are sure to quickly deposit into corresponding accounts.

Huge Upgrade In the Quality of My Websites
Squarespace is very user-friendly, intuitive, and versatile. I found it to be a huge upgrade from other services I have used to make websites over the years.
Pros
I appreciate the ease of getting started and ability to customize. Taking advantage of the ability to create a "members only" part of a website has been a game-changer for a membership-based nonprofit I work with.
Cons
I wish it allowed integration with other financial programs besides Stripe/Donorbox and other ways to have an online shop.

Squarespace Is The Website Space Your Didn't Know You Needed
There's a reason that you hear squarespace advertised everywhere, because everyone uses them. From a small company website, a blog, tie in site for a product, podcast or personal site, there's something for everyone here. Besides that, it never seems like a chore. Only you can hinder your squarespace experience. Ask and you shall receive. Try and you shall thrive. Why that isn't their motto is strange, as that exactly that using them is like
Pros
Design simplicity mixed with customer service that's exactly how you want it to be when it comes to a start up website company
Cons
Options can feel overwhelming when starting out, even though that's partially by design and becomes easier over time once you understand how all the projects work together.

Very easy for basic websites
I really like using Squarespace for our small charity. We have a relatively simple website and it is really easy to edit and add to our website as needed. I don't need to use any code or special plugins to build the website which is great.
Pros
It is easy to set up a basic website and use the drag and drop editor. It's very straightforward to pick up from the start and you don't have to be a web developer to use it.
Cons

Look no further than Squarespace to elevate your business!
Pros
The amount of professionalism this added to my business for the minimal cost is unparallel. It elevated my branding in a way I did not think was possible without hiring professionals. I could use a template and not feel like I had to compromise my creativity and vision which was a huge concern of mine. If anything, it enhanced both and made me so proud to present/promote my business.
Cons
Only con would be that it does not offer a free plan like the competitors do.

Great for any capability
Easy to use, they have great customer service, as someone who had not built a website before it was simplified and looked professional.
Pros
I loved the versatility of use and ability to change the overall image of my website. That I could implement many pages into it, from blog posts, to a page of recommended items with links to purchase. Open up a store to sell items.
There was an abundance of templates and the ease of access for others to access the website with strict permissions to make adjustments.
Cons
Not all of the templates were exactly what I needed.
When I tried to add images from my own computer they wouldn't always line up accordingly and were stuck in a very segmented grid.

Great Platform BUT Some Areas Could Use Some Work
Overall I am very happy with the service and my website looks great. I do recommend this product, even with little to no experience.
Pros
I really did enjoy creating my website with using Squarespace. The initial setup guide is a great tool, to get you started. It was very easy to add custom pages, elements and change the site style. You don't need a ton of experience, as they make it so easy to embed calendars and other files. The domain module is so easy to use, they do make that almost dummy proof.
Cons
The font system needs work. You have to set your font system in your site style and can only have 3 font styles and you have to use them or you have to change your entire site style font system, but that changes the edits on the website you already saved. While the site style is easy to edit. You should be able to just change the font. I also think the customer service is lacking. They haven't been very responsibe luckily I figured out my issue on my own.

A+ EXPERIENCE
My overall experience with squarespace has been awesome. Most of the features that com with squarespace i have found easy to use and very important in my business. I would definitely refer this product to friends, family and colleagues.
Pros
What i liked most about squarespace is the fact that i could easily add products to my website. And i could add all information and description of the product available. I could also have the money payed for a product sent directly to my bank account. I could also pick the themes and colors of my web page. Making it perfect for myself and other users of the software. I love the fact that i get to choose my domain and website name. Allowing it to fit my online retail business perfectly. As well as provided marketing tools andvemail marketing to help improve our customer count. I like the fact that it allows me to create a logo to fit my business. As well as provideva business name generator to help in naming businesses if the client is having difficulties finding a good and unoriginal name for the business. Such an easy way to create and manage everything web-related
I love Squarespace, and have used the site for my website, scheduling, domains, email marketing, e-commerce, Google Workplace subscription and booking/scheduling for years. It is SO easy to build a good website with Squarespace. I didn't need to pay someone to do this for me, and have been able to easily create a website I love. But, for me, it's the additional offerings that Squarespace offers that adds the most value. Their booking/scheduling system is great, and I use this to have clients book their meetings. It works seamlessly with my website. The email marketing is also brilliant, and easily sucks website content through to create email campaigns. And it's also great to be able to manage my Google subscription through Squarespace, too.
Pros
It makes websites, domains, email marketing, e-commerce, booking & scheduling... SO EASY!

Great desktop functionality, mobile view is lacking
Good, I still use it but I really hope someone from Squarespace see's my notes in the cons section.
Pros
Square Space to me is still the best tool out there to get a website out quickly, but it does have quick a few things lacking still (see below).
It has a good amount of templates that you can customize really easily, but they do all look a bit templately still.
Cons
1) The mobile view cannot be adjusted. Anything you edit from the mobile view will affect the desktop view. I think Squarespace should take a page from UnBounce who lets to optimize the mobile side separately from the desktop side.
2) There needs to be more ajax and jquery type animation functionality to help the website look less templately. Any type of animation is essentially no-existent outside of galleries fading in and the text underline.
3) I don't like how Squarespace is constantly spamming me to upgrade to the eCommerce plan when I'm not making a eCommerce website. They've even added an error icon next to one of the templates I'm using now. This is very annoying.

The New Standard
We needed a way to accept donations electronically at events that occur offsite. Our plan was to utilize Squarespace as a tool in our tool chest of accepting donations. We quickly learned that limiting ourselves to using it only at offsite events was not maximizing the benefits they offer. In the two years we have used Squarespace, we have gone from using it a few times a month to replacing our entire payment system. With companies like Squarespace offering low fees and processing costs while maximizing the value for user, I don’t know how traditional payment processors will be able to compete.
Pros
Squarespace revolutionized our ability to fundraise. We have multiple events per month that take place off site, either at churches or other venues. The primary goal of these events is to raise funds. We have reached a point where very few people carry cash, and even fewer carry checks. In order to capitalize on the good will we generate at these events and maximize the raised funds, we need to be able to immediately accept donations. Squarespace lets us do that, with a transaction fee that is similar to the standalone card reader we utilize at our office.
Cons
When we initially began using Squarespace, we encountered some pushback from people who were hesitant to hand their credit card over to us with our phone in hand. However, Squarespace has continually provided updates that address these concerns.

Proprietary Platform - Not Recommended
I only use it when a client has already bought it and doesn't want to move the site, and asks for my help. My preference is to immediately move their website onto WordPress, copy the content, reformat it and move on.
Pros
It's a good option for someone who has no to little expertise in building a website. For a one-person startup, it's cost effective.
Cons
Proprietary platforms are not something I recommend to any client. The lack of control, the ability to move your content elsewhere easily, the lack of a testbed, the inability to customize some of the code, the fact that you are bound by their terms of service rather than your own are just a few reasons I don't recommend it for anyone serious about building a business online.

Overall- we have a wonderful website that we don't have to pay an arm and leg for. We have integration with scheduling, our social media, and many potential clients use our website to set up their appointments.
Pros
Website really turned out great. We get many compliments on its overall look and functionality
Cons
It was difficult to get the website where we needed to on our own. Definitely had to hire some help. The cost is low as well

Great tool for STARTING a business
Overall, Squarespace is a great way to start a business and integrate a simple web site at an affordable price. Depending on business growth and complexities related to products, coupons, etc. this can become a challenge for an advanced user/business.
Pros
Squarespace is an easy setup and provides simple ways to begin collecting payments from customers. The building of a basic web site is quick for a beginner with simple tools in the UI for making update a breeze.
Cons
Once a business grows and wants to build more complex functionality with their web site, Squarespace begins to become much more challenging. The limitations provided by having a simple UI for basic users then hinders advanced users to grow their site and continue using the platform.

Squarespace can surprise you with how easy it is to build a beautiful website. Their templates are beautiful and contemporary, they have an intuitive drag-and-drop interface, and they have built-in features from blogging to ecommerce. Your attention to detail along with aesthetics adds charm to my website.

My experience with Squarespace
All in all, Squarespace is a great choice for those who want an attractive, easy-to-manage website with great, powerful e-commerce and marketing tools. If you're interested in having a flawless design with built-in functionality, it could be a solid choice for your business.
Pros
I like its focus on sleek, minimalist design, while offering an easy-to-use interface and a host of built-in tools for content management, marketing, and online sales.
Cons
Squarespace tends to be more expensive compared to other platforms, especially if you need to add e-commerce functionality or some advanced features.
While you can modify the templates, it's not as flexible as other platforms that allow more control over code and functionality.
