Every employee at the firm uses Smokeball daily, even those that would consider themselves to be less tech savvy. Smokeball has a number of features that I personally use daily, including an integrated feature through InfoTrack that allows me to easily electronically file pleadings directly from my matter. We have also created forms and templates that make generating pleadings and documents so easy without spending time messing with formatting. The customer support is always available to assist if I have any questions. They also have the ability to "remote in" on my computer to take care of any behind the scenes techy things that I don't know how to do myself. > > **Cons**: The pros far outweigh the cons. Everyone has been very helpful all team we worked with Project management, to help bringing the data over. Maybe more that needs to be billed out and may already been worked on. A little more automation on payments to client and to us as well. Where if a payment is made or received. An automated form can be sent from client to us and when we receive payment a paid invoice or email can be sent to client thank you for the payment that was received so there is an automatic footprint in Smokeball so there is no need to confirm or remind ourselves to go look in SB. All of our firm's contacts are stored in one place, making everyone's address book on point for everyone to contact anyone, even if someone else added the contact I can still find it. No time-stamp on phone messages. 2. No way to add reminders in Tasks in the Boost version. So you have to enter your own reminders as events on the calendar. So inefficient. 3. It does not automatically re-bill clients for unpaid invoices. If no work has been done in a billing cycle, but there is an outstanding balance, no new bill is sent out. You have to micro-manage the unpaid accounts. 4. It had a feature that allows you to input discovery deadlines, but the deadlines do no show up anywhere. You still have to add the deadline to tasks. > > If I had know before what I know now, I would have chosen something else.
