This system will bring your revenue down by tens to hundreds of thousands of dollars\! Using this system is the biggest regret of my career. Valant goes down during business hours all the time (6am through 3pm on a Monday for example) and it is impossible to view even the schedule during this time.This means you can't schedule appointments or even access a list of that day's patients. You can't prescribe medications. You can't check patients in and out. Worst thing is that there is no one to talk to during these times. Their customer support is basically non-existant\! Valant eventually gave us the number of a liason to call in times like these because there were so many incidents of the system going out or lagging to the point of being unusable, but this person has no idea what is going on and has never been helpful and will only sometimes respond to his emails. The system goes down or crashes almost every week or two. Secondly, prescribing medications is very clunky with this EMR. The prescribing is redundant and requires opening up ten different windows to submit medications into the pharmacies. The mobile notes system is clunky as well. > > Running a health care practice is stressful and we face may barriers in providing the best care we can to our patients. The last thing you want is your EMR to be so unreliable that every day you worry your system will not work. This means patients do not get the care they need. Additionally this has cost this small company at minimum tens of thousands of dollars of revenue as well as negative reviews due to not being accessible.Imagine waking up to start your work day and your EMR system won't even allow you or anyone in your practice to log in. Today is a Monday and the system has been down since before 6am and it is 11:30am and still nobody can log in. We want to call the patients but we cannot even access the list of scheduled patients. Nobody is responding to emails or able to help. This has happened countless times. This Valant company business should be reported to the BBB. The ability to balance both in the beginning and end, without the need start over when the balance is off. Also, improvement with telehealth functionality. > > I would rate Valant a 9.5 out of 10. It is an excellent system for both small and large behavioral health practices. Based on my experience with multiple EHR and billing suites, including other platforms, Valant stands out—particularly for TMS-based practices. While there are some opportunities to further enhance billing functionality, the overall ease of training, usability, and workflow efficiency is exceptional. Valant also provides strong implementation support for new practices and responsive ongoing help desk support, which adds significant value.
