Digital Collaboration: Miro Exceptional
Miro makes digital collaboration easy: from challenging to intuitive and engaging. With its simplified interface and insanely powerful visual tools, even complex projects can feel simple and fun. Through the interface, it feels seamless to bridge the communication gap, and teams can actually picture ideas, track progress, and maintain creative momentum.
Pros
Miro provides two absolutely amazing features that revolutionize virtual collaboration. 1. With its infinite canvas, first, it lets teams work across expanses of visual workspace, so there is no limit to brainstorming, allowing for holistic strategy making. Second, the interactive collaborative tools allow many team members to interact, edit, and contribute at the same time and break down geographical barriers with instant creative synergy.
Cons
Limited to advanced data visualization option. Ongoing complex permission management for larger team members. Occasional performance issues with extremely large boards, however. Limited native integration to generalize some specialized design tools.

Miro - useful, but not for me
Good at what it does, but I found the use case of the product limited and didn't need to use it often. It's best suited for those that need visual representations of projects, which I didn't as much as I thought
Pros
Viewing a Miro board is nice to look at - it is a good way to organise a project, especially a technical one that requires a flowchart
Cons
I found the use case of the product rather simplistic, there was simply not enough use case for me to want to make flowcharts that I could not make elsewhere or view in a different way

Great tool for collaboration - could use minor ease-of-use adjustments
This is a great planning and drafting tool for a team that desires flexibility and a less restrictive collaboration experience. The visuals are fun and engaging in a way that adds to the client experience when conducting exercises with external parties, as well. Some additional duplication and connection features would speed up the mapping process, however with time users become accustomed to the functionality and, overall, the tools are quite workable.
Pros
The navigation between screens and shared viewing/user tracking are extremely intuitive and allow for co-working without requiring a restrictive experience via single-user screenshare.
Cons
The text organization and merging of mapping items could be more intuitive. For users that are particular about the cleanliness of their visuals, expect to take some time to revisit your work to create a uniform experience.

Creates a style that sustains collaboration at every stage of the workflow
Miro created for us diverse and effective spaces that ensure continuity of collaboration, enabling us to communicate information and ideas quickly, and display and update achievements efficiently.
Pros
Miro is easy to use, perfect for streamlining visual tracking and collaborative planning remotely. With Miro, we connect meeting inputs and organize workflow charts that are understandable to everyone. I loved the ready-made templates that provide the perfect starting point for any idea, ensuring ease of collecting inputs during them and organizing them in an attractive way. I loved the ease of adding updates at any time with documentation, and it is great that the ability to control permissions adds the necessary protection for boards from modifications and tampering.
Cons
Miro is free of negatives, and it is impossible to slow down when adding or collecting elements.

A powerful platform which is a constant tool I use is my daily work
My go-to platform which I enjoying working on and using to collaborate with colleagues.
Pros
Miro is a great visual tool to work from! I love that it's super easy to collaborate with colleagues using it (it's really helpful to use during group sessions or workshops!) and there are a ton of different features - even after using it for a couple of years I presume I'm still only scratching the surface of its capabilities.
Besides being a fab tool for collaborative working, Miro is an all round handy platform to work from - whether that's to capture your initial draft thoughts on a project, to put together a project timeline, or to vote on actions as a group, the chances are that Miro can help you to document and achieve your goals
Cons
A frustration of mine is that large Miro boards with a lot of content on them can seemingly take forever to load, especially when you have a few of these open. Another drawback is the fact that scrolling around the board can be a dizzying experience for some users.

Miro - easy to get grips with and visualise processes.
So easy to use, and visually represent processes to others.
Pros
Miro is actually great. It's a visual board where we can map out what we do in the business so that everyone gets an understanding of how processes work. It is so easy to pick up and start creating straightaway. Assets can be freely moved around the board and edited at any time in the future.
Cons
It's not particularly cheap, but none of the competitors are either, and it's the best value of the bunch. The value Miro brings to everyone understanding how the the organisation ticks has to be good.

Miro is the operating system for a creative distributed team
Miro fast become our essential collaboration tool to maintain creativity and innovation as we scaled across the world with people in over 20 countries.
Pros
Miro is a fantastic tool with numerous use cases for a global distributed team who is focused on staying connected. Without Miro, we do our entire OKR planning cycle which is complex processed orientated. After using many tools, Miro was the tool that our team used and validated. We use Miro for BPM across the business and we also use the collaborative power of Miro for creative brainstorming, giving our team a voice and satisfying that creative need across the business. The Miro community templates are also a massive value add giving inspiration and ideas on how to tackle a process design.
Cons
The only con for Miro is sometimes the time it takes to build maps if you are building yourself. With mind meister, you could use shift and it would automatically create more spaces in the mind map which really helps when you are brainstorming with ideas coming freely. With Miro, sometimes it takes time to build the actual map and this can prohibit the quality of brainstorming.

Can't imagine life without Miro
Miro is an indispensable tool for me. It has streamlined collaboration, enhanced productivity and fueled innovation in ways that I never imagined. Miro is critical to my business and work, and I recommend it for anyone seeking a powerful, user-friendly, collaborative platform to bring together their teams and amplify creative capabilities.
Pros

It's collaborative whiteboard features have seamlessly integrated into my workflow, enabling me to work with clients and colleagues around the country. Whether it's brainstorming sessions, organizing thoughts, or structuring strategies, Miro has been a linchpin of productivity and creativity for me.
Cons
It can be difficult to manage board access for people who aren't a part of your team. Miro offers view-only access, but I've run into trouble getting editable access for non-users.

Provides transparency that helps us always find the right path
Miro designed a system that keeps collaboration always. Meetings and sessions with Miro tools enabled us to achieve the desired results and document them transparently.
Pros
Miro has everything to enhance the power of collaboration among team members. The whiteboard, magic pen, and ready-made elements make creating Flowcharts and Diagrams a joy. We use Miro to pin the ideas we gather during brainstorming in the right places and then assemble or reshape until we reach what is required. The presence of many templates helps us display Flowcharts, Diagrams, and other models in an organized manner capable of reflecting a great image of the team involved in creating them. I like the ease of exporting them as images to easily add to reports or presentations. I liked the value of documentation with Miro, as it is possible to know who and when the change occurred and who gave the final approval, which enhances governance throughout the steps.
Cons
There is no room for negatives with Miro, regular notifications always give us the ability to see in real time any modifications or additions and comment on them by approving or rejecting them, which keeps the workflow smooth.

Awesome for workshops/ collaboration use cases
This is a great tool for workshops (hybrid or fully remote) or brainstorming session types. It is simple to utilize, no training is required to participate, and there are also nice host-related tools (for example the popping up time keeper counter, the "pre-defined templates, etc)
Pros
No training is required. Defacto intuitive for new joiners.
Scalability (you can start from 1 board, and then create many more).
Very easy to collaborate/ brainstorm via post-its, comments.
Templates are also great for hosts/ moderators (this makes workshops pre-work simpler and more efficient)
Cons
Complex to manage licenses at the corporate level. You may end up letting business users buy 'on their own' whenever necessary.
A bit complex as well to manage access to participants.

Excellent tool for remote white boarding and roadmapping projects
We love Miro and think it's a fantastic roadmapping and collaboration tool. I highly recommend it to any remove departments that need to work closely with each other and stay in lock-step.
Pros
It's fairly easy to use; it has a lot of helpful functionality. We use it for personas, product inception canvases, roadmapping, integration with Jira tickets is wonderful; displaying the full roadmap with details; charts, etc. We love this tool and it's helping us be successful and collaborative in a remote world.
Cons
The security is frustrating. We have an Enterprise license and you can't even view a page unless you have a license AND you're invited as part of that specific team. All enterprise users should be able to see any board if it's shared with them.

Miro is a robust workspace for uniting teams during projects.
Using Miro has been a journey full of success and our investment on this product is bearing us great fruits. We have been able to develop a very productive culture of working on and managing our projects. With Miro, we are able to visualize our work when developing games and this helps us get focused on building very effective and well designed games for our projects.
Pros
Miro unites us when at our workplace by giving us an excellent shared workspace where we collaborate on our games development projects. It also allows us to have clear visualization of the entire games development cycle from planning to the final product. We love using it as it help us organize and plan our work using gantt charts, flowcharts and other product maps. We mainly benefit by staying committed and focused on the right and most important work. It gives us easy to use dashboards where we are able to visualize all our tasks by drawing diagrams to represent them.
Cons
Miro interface is a little complicated and we actually struggled a bit to understand it. But we are glad how the support team took us through the entire journey and they made everything get easier for us.

The original and still the best
Pros
I don't know if Miro is truly the first collaborative web whiteboard or not, but it certainly feels like the best and most complete one that got sufficient traction to be widely used. It's super easy to use and that's critical because the whole point is to get your entire team engaged on the common boards, so it has to be easy enough that all your team members can participate.
Cons
The pricing is really the only thing I can complain about. The free tier is pretty limiting, which I understand, but now that so many other office suites come with a version of whiteboarding/mind-mapping/brain storming software (even Figma now has it), it's really tough to spend this much money on Miro unless you use it as a project management or full-blown UX tool as well. It's much easier to use FigJam, for example, as your brainstorming tool, than it would be to use Miro in place of a full Figma.

Pros

A fun collaboration space that people actually enjoy
I love it, and still use it in addition to other applications like Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Figma. I find myself trying to do more than I need to in Miro, which is a good sign for what they're doing.
Pros
Super easy to create idea boards, show research, and keep everything in one spot. I love inviting members of my team to collaborate in a Miro doc. It's quite an interactive experience.
Cons
Miro is slowly becoming much more than just a collaboration space. I find the bloat in the software slows things down as they update their app. Similar to how Canva is for those who can't use Adobe. Miro is becoming like a Figma for those who want to explain how to better the user experience. I'd love to see more animation and transition functionality similar to what Figma has. It would help keep the collaboration more exciting.

A Flexible Tool for Working Creatively Across Different Types of Projects
Miro has strengthened our ability to visualize ideas, streamline processes, and enable effective communication during the development of projects or team activities. It has become an indispensable tool for fostering collaborative innovation.
Pros
Miro’s endless page and a great assortment of templates offer sufficient flexibility which in turn makes it easier to design to meet varying project needs. In addition, real-time tools such as live cursors and commenting boost the quality and efficiency of teamwork, communication, and other collaborative work especially where the team members and stakeholders are distributed widely.
Cons
Despite its rich functionality, for the most part, Miro can be rather complex to understand for new users. It's easy to zoom around the whiteboard although this can be challenging for viewers when presenting during video calls. I'd recommend using frames for easier navigation during calls.

Good way to share and work with others
We use Miro for all our meetings, it's best choice collaboration tool for brainstormings, mapping, customer journey design, mostly used for this even if the tools offers a good and simple task management tool with also assignation. But the best use we make of this tools is always for meetings, sharing info, notes, brainstorming, clustering and solution sharing. It's very difficult we can change for other tools.
Pros
The collaboration within this product is very effective, nontheless the good amount of possibilities to share comments, notes, links, images and the intuitive use of the tools present give us good moment since we are mostly remote workers. We use it for all kind of meetings from brainstormings to task management, but we surely prefer use it for brainstormings than for showing static contents.
Cons
The most met problem is rendering time, I suppose there are a specific set of settings for the board, but it makes screen sharing very tedious sometimes, using the desktop app sometimes solves the problem but even passing from a tab to another make people nervous.

It is an invaluable collaborative software
Visual ideas are very easy to represent in Miro. This has allowed us to expose ideas better and spend little effort on communication. It has also been a way to create fairly complete prototypes.
We also often invite clients to see the first steps of commissioned projects so they can comfortably give feedback.
Pros
It is not necessary to download the app to use Miro. Inviting unfamiliar people is an excellent opportunity because it makes it easier for them. Also, it generates a lot of confidence in not having to install it if you don't know it.
It is also a scalable and flexible software. From a couple of users to ten or more can collaborate without affecting functionality.

When being used to it, using it is very intuitive. I use it often with clients in remote calls. They love to see the progress of a consulting or mentoring process visualized.

Miro offers a vast number of options and the highest flexibility. Tons of templates, automations, sharing options and AI support are great features.
Cons
The complexity of the systems requires some time to get used to it. It is an unavoidable downside when you want the most functional system.

This tool has so many good uses
We started playing with it for wireframes with free licenses. Then had a workshop with a customer and needed to by a couple of users and since then we haven't looked back. We use it a lot.
Pros
Easy to invite free users to a workshop/session and it is so easy for them to participate and contribute. Totally hassle free to start working with.
And the use cases are so many. We do a lot of SCRUM meetings. We do wireframes, brainstorming, workshops, idea management and more.
Cons
Tried doing a Product Roadmap and it is very visible but a hassle to do and update so I don't use it for that anymore.

My experience using Miro as a creative tool
In general, I have had nothing but good things to say about Miro. It has greatly enhanced our team's ability to work together, encouraging more innovative thinking and better communication. Adaptability to different frameworks and templates meets the needs of a wide range of projects, from user story mapping to sprint planning.
Pros
I think Miro's endless canvas is its strongest suit because it allows users to quickly and easily turn their thoughts into eye-catching visuals. The canvas is an enormous creative playground that may accommodate endless brainstorming sessions, mind mapping, and team projects.
Cons
The learning curve for Miro's more advanced capabilities can be steep, but the app is a powerhouse for visual collaboration. You might need to go a little deeper to comprehend some of the more complex features, particularly if you're working with complicated processes or connectors.
