When I first used Sage years ago, it was brand new on the construction scene but it by far blew the software we were using away. It seems to have gotten better with age. > > **Cons**: Initial setup was not as smooth as I feel it should have been. The reports are great however, customizing certain items specifically rails for us. We just run several reports and get the numbers anyway. > > I am extremely pleased with all the construction software combined. It also has a much easier user interface than our current sage 300 CRE, which will be helpful in training new hires, our PMs, and those not necessarily technologically inclined. > > **Cons**: It’s much different than sage 300, in a good way, but the transition is a bit difficult. There are different terms for invoicing (order entry) and purchase orders, which are 2 of my top functions in the current Sage software. Job cost reports are also interactive which is a pro and con, just will take some time getting used to it. > > We haven’t migrated over yet but overall it has been wonderful. Our integration team is extremely helpful in training and answering all questions we have no matter how complicated. They have also been open to finding new ways to make the intacct process similar to certain functions we currently use in 300.
