Best point of sale system
Exceptional.
There hardly ever is an issue with the app, but when there is, the turnaround on client service enquiry is just a little slow. Happy none the less.
Pros
I have worked with many POS systems and this is by far my favorite one. The fact that I can manage everything from my phone is a massive bonus! Easy to use and the developers have really thought of every aspect of running a beaty business. Thank you Fresha!

The fact that I cannot copy a voucher number onto my phone from the 'voucher purchased' list to paste at checkout when a voucher number is asked. It used to be like this in the beginning but was changed with the latest updates. Now I have to write down the number before I can check out a client on my phone.

Fuss Free version
It is an easy to use system once you get your head around it, has many free features that allow for the smooth running of our salon. Easy product orders and input of stock, good client information features. Would definitely recommend.

Fresha is terrible! They have terrible customer service. No phone number to ring. Terrible lags in getting back to support emails. Hidden fees. It is not user friendly
I have switched to timely and I am so happy. They have a number, very friendly and platform very user friendly.

Fresha - free version review
I use the free version which means little contact with the fresha team. Just the odd email here and there offering assistance if needed. I like it this way

That it has a free version with enough of the capability

The new updates that then cost.
The thing that would make fresha perform better would be a place where you can store client service chemical history. It would be so helpfull to have this information be able to be noted on the clients file. To print this off or to have a stylist app that could be used for consultations that updates the clients file would be next level!!

Read all the fine print for fees

In the beginning it was great. The reminders were great.
Cons
However, they have added fee after fee for their "lifetime" free clients. We are the ones that have helped sort out the kinks.
They take 20% for new clients. Do NOT have your clients book online. You HAVE to book them manually at first or you will lose any profit or break even per appointment.
Also any text you send as reminders are now billed. Its become very expensive.

Disappointing service
I took a chance to see if fresha could be the solution I needed. Overall I am greatly disappointed both by the features and the customer support received.
Pros
I did not get to use this product for long before realising it would not be suitable for my business needs

Unfortunately it did not meet my business needs. Deleting your workspace takes 7 days and yet they do not allow for refunds if it is within this window. It seems they need to review their policies to allow for immediate deletions and no refunds or allow a window for both. They have left gaps purposely for the customer to be charged regardless of whether it works for the business which in my mind is highly unethical.

Use with caution
I tried updating my bank account information and it took MONTHS! The process is so incredibly difficult that it makes me want to just find a better software. You have to upload several documents, wait for it to be verified which can take weeks, then you have to take your card terminal offline and wait for it to be reprogrammed which takes several days, then you have to re-board your terminal which can be tricky. Then for some reason after doing all of these steps, it was still depositing funds into my old account. Now they want me to re-do everything and then update ALL the booking links on my website. This is a nightmare. I was able to create a square account and have my bank verified instantly, so I will just use that from now on and even though the card fees are slightly higher, I'm still saving without all the hidden fees and 20% commission that these thieves try to take.

Hidden fees like charging 20% for "new clients" even if they are existing clients that book with a new account. Sometimes existing clients will forget their password and just create a new account to book an appointment out of ease. Fresha claims they will recognize emails and phone numbers and not classify them as a new client but this is false. They will charge you 20% and the software doesn't allow you merge the clients together. You have to delete the new account your client created and then re-book with their existing account and then try to help them get a new password. It's absurd.

Tax Collection Problems
Pros
Customer ease of use. They have menu to select ou different services.
Cons
In our state we have to collect Gross Receipts Tax on all sales. Worked great about month ago. Now it will not. Fresha provides videos about tax set up but unable to collect tax properly. Issue cannot be solved. It should be easy. $100.00 sale plus 7% tax would equal final cost of $107.00. But system has lost ability to do this.

Fresha got 5 stars before it gets to good. They promised to be FREE FOR LIFE for all members in the begining. They have sms and email reminders free in the begining. Businesses are happy with it and gave them 5 stars in the early stage. Ive been using it for 7 years, we put so much effort and feedback to help them grow.

As they get better, they start charging businesses too much and greedy.1-Text messages are not unlimited anymore as promised, they start limiting down each month less and less. So we buy more reminder TEXT each month. That's fair. BUT2-Clients found us from FRESHA market= WE being charged 20% of the services they booked. Clients never howed up or cancel, we los the money. Economy is bad already, this is the last draw.We salons earn by % of services and carry a lot of fees, but this is ridiculous

If you’re considering Fresha for your salon, be prepared for steep costs. For a busy salon, monthly fees can easily exceed £350—and that’s just the start. One of the most frustrating aspects is their hidden 20% “new client fee.” This charge isn’t transparently shown anywhere, and you’ll need to manually check each client to see if they’ve been hit with it. Fresha makes accessing reports that might reveal these fees an additional expense, charging a premium of £60-90 depending on staff size.
Want chat support? That’s an extra £17 per month. Access to reports, client texts, emails, marketing, and payroll? You’ll be charged for every single feature. Everything in the system comes with a cost, and it quickly adds up.
Even worse, some of their “new client” fees are enforced through dubious tracking methods, which may not even be legal. Fresha seems more interested in squeezing as much money as possible from its customers than providing transparent and fair service.
I’m in the process of leaving Fresha because I can’t justify paying upwards of £10K per year for a booking system that doesn’t respect its users. If you’re looking for a booking software, do yourself a favor and find one with fixed costs that treats its customers fairly and transparently.

Fresha should be protecting business owner of theft of service
Overall is okay, it will be better if you offer loyalty system so we can record clients rewards or beauty bank service to deposit money.

Easy to Use. Didn’t have the option to turn off market place and we have to stick with the 20% referral fees unless we quit using Fresha.
Cons
Regarding theft of service, we are unable to process the payment without client provide us a security code sent to their phone. The system should provide more protection to us as a business owner. If we require their security code to charge their card, then it didn’t make sense anymore. I wasn’t aware about this issue because normally small amount processing was working fine, until we had a more premium service like hair extensions required payment over $1000 and client did a runner, after that I realised we won’t be able to charge her.

Great booking system for a great price
Pros
I compared a few different booking systems before settling on Fresha. I chose them because they are one of the more cost-effective alternatives on the market and provide a very seamless customer experience. The app really looks beautiful, so I knew it would be a nice experience for customers. The Fresha team also seem to be working on the app software in the background all the time, and I appreciate that they're always looking for ways to better the experience for businesses and customers.
Cons
All businesses using the Fresha software are visible via the app. While this is great for other businesses to get more visibility, it's one extra step for customers to look up your business in order to book through the app. I'd also prefer if the cancellation policy could be more tailored rather than one, flat policy. 50% within 24 hours, 100% within 4 hours for example.

Pharmacy vaccine appointments are never an issue

WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE using fresha at our community retail pharmacy! We are independent so we dont have any fancy apps that book our appointments for us! So we started looking online to see if there was anything that we could use that would help us with appointment scheduling! Im sure everyone knows in the pharmacy world that booking appointments for covid vaccines, flu vaccines, and all other types of shots is very difficult during the fall season! this makes it so easy and we even color coordinate our shots so its clear and easy to see

System is Intuitive
I am UTTERLY pleased. After a NIGHTMARE of crappy customer service, buggy system, and overall a NEVER AGAIN experience without last system (vagaro) Fresha was just that a breath of FRESH-Air.
Pros
The system is very intuitive. It is easy to learn and use. It is easy to set up the catalog - for everything and I love how you can quickly move things to be in a different order than just in the order they were made.

there is a GREAT product and inventory tracking system.
their customer Service is TOP NOTCH, I especially recommending spending the money to get an account manager- totally worth their weight in gold and is VERY reasonably priced.

Is it perfect? Nope they have some things to address.
Even with the issues that need to be addressed, this is, by far, the best system I have used. I have used Massagebook, Square, Vagaro, Wix, and Meevo. I am highly impressed and LOVE my account manager (can’t remember the title you all give them).

Very easy to use, not too fussy and also very comprehensive. They are a forward thinking company and rarely stand still and the competition changes. I love the little notification bell which comes up with all their new features as they arrive. Some nice little surprises there! I love that they listen to us as the customers and take on board what we say. Love the new Gift Cards by the way!

Nothing really to dislike but it could be worth considering adding an option on the Blast messages where you send one email then a reminder email goes out a few days later or when you want to send it automatically. Could work well for Black Friday for example when everyone's trying to get customer's attention! Could do a package where the second email is a bit cheaper than the first if you want to re-send.

Fresha is taking over a fifth of our earnings and not responding to our messages.

System is pretty easy to use however Fresha has scammed us by placing a book now button on our website which sends customers to fresha.com marketplace to create a Fresha account and take more than a fifth of our earnings. Fresha is not replying to our messages.
Cons
Fresha put a 'Book Now' button on our website that directs customers to Fresha com marketplace. This means every new client we get, which is most of them being in a tourist place, have to create a Fresha account and we get charged 20%. In effect Fresha is taking more than a fifth of our earnings! They are yet to respond to our messages.

Because it was a small company, we only used Excel. After learning about this software, I was able to achieve overall integrated management.
Pros
It is convenient because you can also manage it with your smart phone. We were able to attract more customers and new customers through the online reservation system. Inventory management is easy.

Overall I like the use of what’s it’s for. It keeps my current and past appointments which is handy to view.
Pros
I currently use Fresha to keep track of my nail appointments. It’s easy to navigate through and I love the reminders it sends via sms.
Cons
I do wish the particular layout I have was easier to read. I find if I have multiple appointments, that I’m having to scroll through vs it would be nicer if they were in a grid-tile type view.

My experience with Fresha
super easy to setup and edit. nice and clean and not confusin.
Pros
I like the ability to be able to schedule different providers and then be able to specify how long the appointments for. Also like client history so i can look at notes and such if and when needed.
Cons
I wish it was more medical per say and would like to be able to have a section where i can put individual notes on clients and have Doctor sign off on note and or order.

Poor customer care
Horrible can never reach anyone
$200 balance that 90% should not be charged for
Pros
Nothing. Dishonest company. Can never talk to a real person to get things resolved. They charges things by fraud
Cons
Dishonesty. Charge for things they should not. They book fake appointments to collect 20%. They charge for existing clients. Too many glitches and always an excuse like the owner is using links incorrectly. So they have a link that no mater who schedules from it, we are charged 20%
I’ve emailed 5 times in a week and have asked for someone to call and have yet to get a response

Appointments, scheduling and notes | An all-in-one no-brainer app
Pros
First of all: FREE! Second: Complete! Third: take notes, upload pictures which is great for before/after pictures or medical exams, prescriptions, etc. Fourth: Patient notifications by e-mail and SMS... is that enough?
Cons
I'd love to be able to edit the SMS reminder. I love the fact it has Portuguese as a language, since I'm based in Portugal. HOWEVER, the fact that it uses Portuguese from Brazil (as if that's even legit) is annoying. Words like "gerenciamento" and "oi" on a reminder for a health appointment in Portugal shouldn't exist if you want to look professional :(

Great Concept & App, Needs more Users
Overall I found the app to be useful while living in an urban area as there can be so many places to choose from for different treatments, however, very few places in rural areas have signed up for the app
Pros
App is easy to use and has a good search function to help find what you're looking for
Cons
Lack of salons that are on the app, some other apps have more choice for places to book

Scammers and dishonest
Do not trust this company with your credit card!Fresha was free until it wasn't. I started with Fresha when it was free. after building up over 3000 clients on their software, they started makin shady charges to my card. for example, I started asking to store credit card info for NEW clients. but they started charging my existing clients. They claimed it was a glitch in their system. So, I reversed that feature. then, when I restarted capturing CC's, they started charging 20cents per credit card capture. Then They started charging a percentage of charges at check out IF the booking was made through "their marketplace". But a client booked by clicking on my google ad (which already costs a lot), but now they are charging my credit card a ridiculous 20% for that client, claiming it was booked through their market place! Do Not trust Fresha. very shady and dishonest practices.Do Not Trust Fresha. They will use shady tactics to charge your card, and You have absolutely no way to defend yourself.

Credit cards captured for no shows, frequently say "insufficient funds" and no customer service help, and in some cases say "code sent to client" to allow us to charge for the no show!
