Does what it says on the tin - a serious time saver for personal tax compliance
Very positive !
Pros
Compared to other tax software that tries to do it all, but ends up doing everything poorly (I'm looking at you, CCH), Glasscubes does one thing and it does it very well. Glasscubes automates some of the more tedious parts of client management for personal tax (chasing for information year round just for the client to send their information in January), and in my experience has led to some of our more last-minute clients sending information earlier than in prior years.
Glasscubes also provides a space for clients to securely upload documents, and this space was clearly designed with the client in mind. When a client's documents are requested, they receive a request via email that gives them a text box and a space to securely upload relevant files and information - no login required!
Cons
The only growing pains our team has experienced thus far is that the automated reminders, which generally save us time, can be a bit annoying if we forget to mark the info request complete in glasscubes. A welcome addition would be if you could query clients by client manager and if automated reminders could be suppressed through a simple tick box rather than needing to mark returns as submitted.

Highly recommended
I highly recommend both the team at Glasscubes and the software.
Glasscubes is a simple and cost-effective way for me to manage documents/files with external vendors. I also find it more reliable as a sharing tool with external project team members than Sharepoint or other file-sharing options. With other options I usually receive a number of emails from colleagues asking for access to be "fixed" or re-sent. With Glasscubes there have been no access problems or questions about how to use the features.
The tools for admin oversight are easy to use but powerful.
There was no pressure with the sales experience and the technical support has been excellent.
Pros
Easy and fast to set up without any technical expertise needed; although support is available if it is wanted. Intuitive to use. Responsive technical support with a named person for consistency; but also lots of FAQ/training documents are easily available.
Cons
The option to use the "Tasks" function for timeline management is an excellent extra feature within the project team/workspace but is not set up as a reporting tool.

Glasscubes review
7/10. I think it is a useful platform and I prefer having it compared to not having it. I simply wish there was easy in depth tutorials for what each sections does. Sometime a client gets an email alter, other times they don't and finding out why isn't straightforward. Customer support has been good.
Pros
All of the clients communications are in one spent, you don't have to search through a load of emails.

Review of the system/product after 7 years of usage
Good product, 100% reliability and resilience in my experience and can't recall any downtime except for planned overnight downtime that did not interfere with our operation
Pros
This is an honest & genuine review after many years of experience with the system/product & I would highly recommend it. I have been using & administering the system for over 7 years and have not had any glitches or downtime at all. The responses to queries and issues from the team is rapid and problems are resolved quickly. They are also open to additional features and development.
Cons
We have had to come to an understanding with the finance people of GlassCubes that in NHS we take a while to pay our invoices and sometimes can't react quick enough to pay them due to internal processes

The team all use Glasscubes training and creating process guides for our internal working and usage of glasscubes has been relatively straight forward.
Pros
Support staff are fantastic, glasscubes is intuitive and easy to use. We can rely on the product and it is an integral system in our day to day working with other Universities and schools in the region that our project supports.
We have always appreciated the discount as a small project budgets are cut year on year.
Cons
I need to Audit our workspaces to see when each workspace last had a document uploaded and the current export only shows up to a certain number of uploads that dates back to 22. I need to Audit back to 2017 when the platform was set up and this is a manual task which will take some time.

File storage system is ok, excel document access could be better
Glasscubes works well over all, but it would be great if the number of clicks needed to access excel documents was reduced.
Pros
Its easy to navigate, files are locked to avoid version clashes, preview works well for word documents and pdfs.
Cons
Excel documents don't work well in preview, you have to use desktop connect, which adds a few steps every time a document is opened (on the down side). Sometimes if the connection times out you can lose work, and sometimes the connection doesn't work at all and you just have to download documents to desktop and reload afterwards.

First experience.

Overall very happy. I find uploading and downloading easy to do and, once used to it, creating a shareable link.

There is very little downtime (if any) when using Glasscubes. It's easy to use for file sharing and can be whitelabelled.
Cons
I don't like it that there is no option to complete a quick live search - ie to jump to all files starting with J or P etc. Instead we have to page down through many files to locate the appropriate file.

Insist on Glasscubes for your next Audit
Glasscubes has greatly improved our audit experience this year. Acting as the link between the Auditors & our Company, it's been a very smooth ride for me to delegate and keep track of all the outstanding info requests given out to our domestic & overseas subsidiaries to complete.
My whole team agree that having all the requests and documents in one place has greatly improved efficiency and stress levels. I've provided feedback to the auditors where it can be improved further for next year, and I'm sure the team at Glasscubes will act on this. I would recommend Glasscubes to anyone with an upcoming audit.

I mostly enjoy GC, Im not a huge fan of how it looks but that's personal opinion. It can be harder to use when just on a small laptop screen. But overall I like the use of file sharing.

Glasscubes has provided our team with a tool that has increased the quality and efficiency of our information requests to clients.
