A convenient spreadsheet-like database for your projects
I've used Airtable for many projects of mine mostly as my database. It's really convenient for small projects and the free tier is very generous.
Pros
The user experience of Airtable is really great. You can easily navigate through the app and find what you want. Also, I love how easily you can create relations between tables. Also the API documentation is perfect.
Cons
In the past versions of Airtable you could host assets (images etc.) in the cells and Airtable was providing a permanent URL for them. It seems that this features is gone now and I really miss it.

Airtable - the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the structured capabilities of a database
overall airtable helped our business grow exponentially not just because of its applications but it gave us the perspective about what database can do for a business and how simple it can be if we keep that way.
we used it for our app database as well, and it just worked fine bit slow but good for beta version.
Pros
What I love most: The intuitive interface makes it easy to customize views (grid, calendar, kanban, form) and build relationships between different tables. The automation features are a game-changer, saving me countless hours on repetitive tasks.
Who would benefit: Anyone looking for a more dynamic and collaborative way to manage data. It's perfect for teams of all sizes and across various industries.
Cons
One of the least best things about Airtable is its pricing. While there is a free plan, it has limitations on the number of records and storage space.
The paid plans can become expensive, especially for larger teams or those with extensive data needs. AI plans are also overpriced.
Reasons for Switching to Airtable

Airtable, easy to use platform
Overall a positive experience. User friendly, has many features, a marketplace for non-native challenges you may experience and good integrations with other software/API's.
Pros
It's like a user friendly version of Excel/Google Sheets if you are not overly comfortable with using spreadsheets, this makes it easy.
Cons
User level security permissions on base tables are lacking. Needs to be more granular.

Airtable is a flexible and powerful tool for milestone
. I appreciate that Airtable allows me to integrate with other tools and apps, such as Zapier, Google Analytics, Slack, and more, to automate my workflow and sync my data. I also like that Airtable enables me to share and collaborate on my projects with my team, stakeholders, and clients. Airtable is a tool that adapts to my workflow, not the other way around.
Pros
I like many things about Airtable, but if I had to choose one, I would say I like its flexibility. Airtable allows you to create and customize your own bases, tables, fields, views, and layouts to suit your specific needs and preferences.
Cons
Scalability: Airtable has some limits on the number of records, fields, views, and attachments per base, which can affect the performance and functionality of large and complex projects.

Must-Have Blend of Spreadsheet and Database
Airtable is fantastic. I've made it a part of basically every publication and content hygiene process we have, and have recommended it to all our clients. If you work in marketing, this tool should definitely be at the top of your software stack.
Pros
Airtable has been a genuinely game-changing piece of software for my business. I can't think of another tool that makes managing the content lifecycle so effortless. The way you can organise bases, set up automations, and easily manage everything from social media to email campaigns to content assets is exceptional, to the point where I've made it an integral part of our content processes with clients.
Cons
Overall, Airtable is an excellent tool. If I was being picky, the two negatives that have stood out to me are the pricing (it gets quite expensive if you have multiple users working in a base) and the fact that it's not great at certain types of data management due to the way records work. You can't necessarily replicate everything you can do in Excel/Sheets here; it's much better as a way to track and manage assets than as a mathematical tool.

Excellent application integration and fast database creation
Using Airtable, we are able to consolidate data for teams working in different locations, ensuring that everyone always has access to the most up-to-date information. I can organize and analyze seemingly impossible data on a spreadsheet with the help of Airtable, and I can even perform some really deep reasoning without knowing how to code.
Pros
I appreciate the adaptability. With the help of drop-down menus, department-specific colors, and the ability to sort data by any number of criteria, I can easily organize my data into useful chunks. Though I'm only just getting started with Airtable, I'm enjoying my time with it and am looking forward to learning all there is to know about it.
Cons
It can be cumbersome to keep track of which users have access to certain databases and tables, therefore you may prefer to use a different platform when communicating with stakeholders.

When it comes to managing information, we trust Airtable
The way I organize my app development tasks has been revolutionized by Airtable. The ability to automate mundane, time-consuming procedures is one of my favorite benefits of this software. Smooth linkage between distinct tables and capacity to connect varied data.
Pros
Opportunity data may be stored and managed effectively with Airtable. It is easy to use, inexpensive, and constantly evolving. When it comes to managing and receiving business possibilities for our marketplace, Airtable is a godsend. I really like how it relates to softrand. WHAM! Now I have a fully operational subscription app.
Cons
At first, Airtable may seem complicated. There are many features and customization possibilities, making it first difficult to grasp if you are not already proficient with relational databases.

Flexible and User-Friendly Project Management with Airtable
My overall experience with Airtable has been great. It’s a highly flexible and intuitive tool that makes organizing data and managing projects simple and efficient. It’s especially useful for collaboration and creating customized workflows to fit specific needs
Pros
What I like most about Airtable is its flexibility and ease of use. It combines the power of a database with the simplicity of a spreadsheet, allowing for customized workflows, data organization, and collaboration. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to manage projects and track tasks efficiently.
Cons
The only downside to Airtable is that some advanced features require a paid plan, and it can get a bit complex when managing large datasets

It is another perspective on project management.
We have this platform in mind within our company because it easily adapted to what we were looking for, which is to be able to track everything, both the management of a project and maintaining contact with clients linked to each project. The implementation of Airtable in my work environment maintains easy collaboration between work teams, it has allowed me to develop creativity by being able to enforce each guideline of a project, it is very interesting how everything is more organized with a tool like this.
It is not necessary to have deep knowledge of this type of platform, despite the fact that it has a learning curve, the interface makes the work much simpler than it seems, thus being able to easily focus on just the management of projects in a collaborative way.
Pros
It allows the visualization of projects in different ways, this flexibility helps us to make management easier depending on the preferences of each user in how they want to work. In addition, it is very easy to apply labels to each task, the reports have several formats and are very customizable. The number of platforms with which I can integrate with Airtable is another plus point, I love how I can easily connect tools from other sites which allows me to speed up my work, thus being able to practically automate my entire process of managing my projects.
The useful form function is not lacking, where I can capture data to be able to apply it within the projects I worked on and continue to work on. Also, its mobile application is very complete, it is quite useful when at specific times we need to do something in the projects and only have a smartphone available, making all the work much faster and everything is done more fluidly because everything works on the fly with the mobile application.
Cons
I must mention a con that has impacted me during the expansion of Airtable is that as more features are integrated, I have found that a learning curve has been added that was not present in the beginning of this platform. In addition, over time, the price has increased without any justification where other platforms seem more attractive and accessible since they offer the same features but maintain a considerable price for both individual users and companies of any size.
Another complaint I have about this is that it has a limitation on the size of the attached files for each base. It could be logical that depending on the plan you have, the size of the file to upload varies, but it seems that this platform does not take this into account, so regardless of the plan you get, this will be a limitation to be able to attach important files that have a size that Airtable handles. The good thing is that it accepts any type of file, so it is somewhat acceptable.

Flexible and powerful database solution with collaboration feature.
Before Airtable, our team relied on a combination of spreadsheets and disparate tools, leading to data silos and inefficient workflows. Airtable has centralized our data, improved collaboration, and empowered us to make data-driven decisions. We've been able to eliminate manual data entry, automate repetitive tasks, and gain valuable insights from our data.
Pros
Its user-friendly interface combines the familiarity of spreadsheets with the power of relational databases. We use Airtable to track marketing campaigns, manage content calendars, organize customer data, and streamline our onboarding process. I particularly appreciate the flexibility to customize views, create relationships between tables, and automate workflows.
Cons
Some of the advanced features, such as unlimited storage and granular access controls, require a paid subscription. Also, the mobile app, while functional, could benefit from some improvements in terms of user experience.

Airtable is a MUST have for business and for life!
I love Airtable and have been a user for about seven years. I use it daily for my business and my personal life. It keeps everything organized just the way I like it. The visual customization of the tables is crucial for someone like me who is a visual learner. Now with the introduction of ChatGPT I can expand my Airtable functionality by providing scripts and formulas that I otherwise would not be able to create.
Pros
I love almost everything about Airtable. It's functionality is unmatched and I love the customization that's available. The automations are a life saver.
Cons
I hate the cost. It's unbearably expensive for a one-person business who needs to have their clients be able to use the platform. It would be easier to digest if collaborator billing was on a tiered plan or if the admin/owner price was slightly higher to avoid making collaborators billable.

Gamechanger
Airtable started off as a useful productivity tool but has quickly turned into a one-stop shop, doing almost everything I need for strategy and tracking in one place.
Pros
I have had the opportunity to use Airtable on multiple video production teams, and it has made project/production coordination a breeze. The ability to track tasks and statuses and to have different views into project details has been incredibly helpful in keeping us on point and on budget. It is also very useful for reviewing project efficiency and profitability after the work is complete.
Cons
Because it has expanded so much over the past few years, it's gotten a bit of a learning curve - but Airtable has done a good job of providing support for that.

Enabled us to get off the ground quickly with no code
Airtable was a great tool that allowed us to build our dataset quickly without complicated UIs and forms, and integrations let us wire up critical business flows while we focused on building our app.
Pros
We could focus on building out the features that matter and let Airtable integrate with our data-sources directly without hand-building our own connectors.
Cons

Airtable made me shine in my legal team
I am very satisfied, and the page I worked on with the help of Airtable gave me a lot of praise from my colleges. I presume this is because my colleagues where not familiar with Airtable (they thought it was only for finance managers) and I deployed it in a new way. I made a page with a couple subpages, where my colleagues can find monthly posts with short summaries of legal news about AI. For instance, what new EU legislation was passed, how AI affects company policies, etc. Even more, my team is planning to start more projects in Airtable:)
Pros
Firstly, the fact that you can deploy your creativity and the tools provided by Airtable allow you to. Honestly, I can't compare it to other products simply because I don't know any analogs. Google tables or Microsoft excel are far more boring to work with, and most importantly, don't give you the fictionality to be as creative as you want. By being creative I mean making tables that look aesthetically pleasing (not boring like excel), nicely design interfaces of your page, link different parts of one page to another one. Secondly, the way you can collaborate with you team is on another level compared to Airtables' rivals. Another advantage is the fact that you have two different interfaces. One that is published to everybody, and the other that is open only to you. I find this very useful.
Cons
Probably the fact that the website lags sometimes. This is especially visible when I switch between pages of my published base. It takes a second-two to load the page (my internet is super fast and my Mac is brand new so that's not the reason). Also, the guide that displays templates is not very useful if you don't intend to make a page about finance, hiring or managing teams. I made a page about laws governing the use of AI, but I ended up using a template for hiring people, which is a totally different topic, as I didn't have another option. Would be cool if the company broadened the topics of the templates and had some touching the topics of: blog posting, reviewing legislation, posting news.

Big Shame...
There is no customer service, so if you're ready to use Airtable, remember that if you'll ever run into an issue, there's no one to talk to.
Pros
Overall everything works amazing. Preset automations are limited, but you have the option of scripting so that helps a lot. Depending what you want to use Airtable for, you might need to use a lot of workarounds, but does the job.
Cons
There is no customer service at all!
theres no way of reaching them and they never respond to emails or their online forms.
We had to leave them as we found an issue and needed help sorting it, but there was no one to talk to.
a few days later one of the views had a bug where you couldn't click into any linked records, we tried emailing, submitting forms, but no response (btw this happened a month ago and still no response from them). This is the cool brother of your office package
It has been extremely beneficial and we use it absolutely every day. There are drawbacks, for sure, but once you learn how to navigate it and use this tool, it will be game-changing.
Pros
Airtable feels like the cool brother of Office packages out there. It is great for keeping track of project statuses, or the status of work left undone. It also allows you to build forms that will populate the data in their version of spreadsheet, which is highly powerful and supports some cool features, such as complex relational data structures, that usually other competitors don't.
Cons
There are a few downsides to Airtable. As a user, they could offer better reporting and analytics, this way our teams could better understand what is working and what could go better just by assessing data. Also, sometimes it can be a bit overwhelming to use its customisation options.

the fact that it almost predicts what type of data is there and suggest how to categorize it it great,

Game changerl
Overall experience has been great to be honest
Pros
This product has been a game changer for my company. Being an Ecommerce business with inventory and teams. It has made it easy to set up bases, automations, dashboard to track a lot. It has made order management so seamless for easy for my teamm less clutter and so many features that has helped the business. Love that I can create multiple bases.
Cons
It has evolved over the years with their updates. But I think the dashboard can be better. They can definitely take a few features from clickup especially with things like tracking and notes.

great for project management!
Overall, I have used Airtable for multiple clients in order to keep track of the blogs or social media posts I'm creating for them and to post them in Airtable for approval. It's excellent for collaboration projects. I also love the free version as it offers a lot of functionality for a price you obviously cannot beat!
Pros
- I love the list style of Airtable
- I love the card functionality where I can leave notes to my team
- The categories are useful for keeping track of what state a card is in: for example if a card is in progress vs complete
Cons
Initial set up is sort of time consuming and confusing but once I watched a YouTube video I totally understood. Other than that, no complaints!

Totally Worth It
Great experience using this app. Easy to collaborate with your team and really simple to use. The AI feature is also really neat. Helps bring out the creativity in everyone and definitely makes for more interesting and valuable projects.
Pros
I enjoyed the ease of use for this software. The simplicity and design of the webpage is very pleasant. I liked how easy it was to collaborate with coworkers and manage projects together. All around a great app!
Cons
The only thing is the limitations with the different plans that there are. Seems like once you upgrade, you have to give up some tools to get different ones. Other than that it is still great.

Pros
Airtable unlocked my ability to create and maintain high quality data, and use it immediately in a variety of other software appliations.
Cons
No downsides to Airtable, however it could use more training on how to design data systems that can be shared when onboarding new colleagues

Complex to set up but a delight to use
I have Airtable set up for a few specific functionalities, mostly tracking finances and my sales funnel. For the finances one, it was really tricky to get it set up, and I needed help. Once it was up though, I love how easy it is to use, and how it compiles data across the tables to give me the important data.
Pros
Easy to use (once it's set up) for a wide variety of projects
Cons
It's really hard to set up for more complex purposes

Handy Collaboration Software for Remote Teams
We've been very happy with the service from Airtable for managing some of our tasks and collaborative environments. It has a very intuitive design, you can just pick it up and start using it as soon as, and it basically requires no setup which was good for our IT resources. Other than that, it's reasonably priced, and maintains good performance even when a few people are working on the same sheet at the same time. Very happy overall.
Pros
We really enjoy having a lot of different features available that we can explore, mainly stuff like document management, database, and data workflows. It lets you cover different needs without having to get a few separate tools and ten have to sync them together. The ability to consolidate all those feature sunder one roof is also good for the budget of course.
Cons
I'm not sure if it rises up to the level of tools like Monday and Asana for project management. There aren't as many project customization options and it tends to get a bit all over the place when the number of projects starts to increase. It would be good to have more views for projects and more customizations on the project level.
