Little Green Light and its Support Team is Great!
We have been very happy with the flexibility and configurability of the data storage options. The data import mechanism is very powerful, and it enabled us to get up and running with rich data very quickly. The search query functionality is excellent. The product performance responsiveness is usually always very fast. The documentation is thorough. Training sessions are frequently offered. The customer/tech support is second to none: we usually get high-quality, personalized responses within an hour! And if an issue has to be escalated, we hear back from the next-level support within 24 hours. The blog posts / product updates / seasonal process reminder notification emails are always full of rich, useful content. The price is affordable. What's not to love? :-D
Pros
Full-featured functionality, very responsive and knowledgeable tech support. We have been using LGL for 4 1/2 years at a small religious nonprofit and we have been delighted with how well the product and the support team serves our needs.
Cons
There are many comes-by-default fields in the constituent records that we don't make use of, but we can't hide them. We can only collapse them and learn to ignore them.

FunraiseReasons for Choosing Little Green Light
Because those earlier products weren't integrated with each other, were painful to keep manually updated, were scattered with multiple versions in multiple locations on multiple organizational and personal devices, and were no longer scaling with our growing needs. We adjusted our use of QuickBooks and Constant Contact, but continued using them.Reasons for Switching to Little Green Light
(Also SupportGoal, which isn't in your list, plus a host of other CRM platforms that were even less well-suited to our needs.) LGL had rich and flexible data import functionality, LGL's database could be extended and configured to our needs, great reporting functionality, great integration with Constant Contact, great search query functionality, very responsive customer/tech support, affordable. Also, LGL was the only platform to include a testimonial from a synagogue on its website, and since we are a synagogue, it boosted our confidence that LGL would likely be able to meet our needs.- Industry: Nonprofit Organisation Management

LGL is a gift no one knew they needed
Always surprised that I'm still discovering new functionality - it's a never-ending well of data capture and presentation. It's intuitive, easy to use, but really, really detailed - much more so than other databases. It's my favorite.
Pros
It's appearance of a simple database, but actually has incredible depth in its functionality. It can do sooooo much for the money spent, and has made my life easier every time I use it. I especially love Flex Importer Undo functionality!!
Cons
Its limited customization of the look of the forms. They look very basic. I wish there was more ability to change the forms' appearance (functionality is great though). I also wish it had automated emails set up to certain groups - like new constituents, etc.

The user interface on this product is terrible
We are switching to another CRM.
Pros
Running reports is really easy in the software but that’s about all that I like.
Cons
As stated in the title, the user interface is not intuitive nor is it easy on the eyes. There are so many other features that could be included that would make this star star product but sadly they are missing.

Love this software!
Pros
I really love the forms and integrations. It is the donation platform that comes with the most bang for your buck. Importing data is a breeze and once your database is built, keeping track of giving becomes so easy.
Cons
It's an deep dive into this software and the learning curve is steep for an new donor manager. I still haven't learned all the ways to use this amazing tool. I wish I could have signed up to go to a training seminar when we began using the program.

Easy to Use Comprehensive Database
For a one person database team it fits all the needs of our organization.
Pros
It's simple to use, quick, a light interface and I like that I have full remote functionality.
Cons
Dashboard, wish it was easier to customize dates and year to year.
Also would be nice to have shareable reports. Wish the forms were a little more intuitive on their integreation

Love LGL database
Pros
Simple to use, amazing support/help team, and intuitive overall.
Cons
There are a few export features missing (like including multiple specific date ranges for a donor to compare FY gifts over 5 years). I'd also love for an add-on where you can create a sort of thermometer that updates real-time on a webpage when compared to a specific campaign in the database.

Pros
The thoroughness of the offerings including the ability to include volunteers, send letters, track top donors and those who have not donated for awhile

Our Perfect Solution
Coming from Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge ridiculously expensive and overly complicated system, every single thing about LGL is a breath of fresh air and a joy to use.
From working with our consultant on data migration to every day use, it's intuitive and simple to use. I'm still learning new and impressive functionality and am pleasantly surprised every time.
Updates that are rolled out actually fix issues or improve functionality ( they listen to their users!).
Customer service is email only, but usually quick and very helpful. The Facebook community is a nice addition as well - sometimes I can get answers there without needing to contact support.
I only wish we had made the switch sooner - would have saved our organization tens of thousands of dollars and myself so much frustration.
Pros
1. The price absolutely cannot be beat, especially compared to Blackbaud.
2. It's just so simple to use. Intuitive, quick, and easy, yet still packed full of useful features.
Cons
Initially, what I liked least was that there was no live phone or chat support; email only. But, the longer I use LGL and see how little I need support, the more I don't mind it at all. Plus email support usually replies quickly and has the solution I need.
Reasons for Choosing Little Green Light
Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge is probably amazingly fantastic software, IF you have an entire team devoted to managing it. In our organization, it was just me, and it was far too much to handle, especially with plenty of other duties, and what we got out of it was far less than the price could justify. LGL is everything we need, and more, for several thousands of dollar less per year, and much less frustration (none, actually).Switched From

Follow up after 2 years of using LGL
Not enough accolades to define our experience with LGL. It has solved hours of previous individual copy and paste of information, and ease of correspondence templates and reporting! Again, we couldn't be happier with any program!
Pros
LGL is by far the best CRM I have ever used for price, functionality, integration options, and Customer Support!!
Cons
I would like to have video options included in the future. However, so far, every option I would have liked has been implemented in the two years we have used LGL. The support and constant improvement are just outstanding!

Satisifed Customer
We are now able to effectively track:
-Donor history
-Donor relationships
-Send auto-acknowledgments
The entire dev team can now work from the same set of data--increasing our transparency with each and improve succession of responsibilities.
Pros
Has all needed functionality--especially relationship creation--for an absolutely affordable price.
Cons
Layout, aesthetics. In particular, the categories section of the constituent profile record is difficult on the eyes.
Reasons for Choosing Little Green Light
The company had reached a point where, if it was going to grow and increase stability, it needed a true CRM. The Fundraiser Basic we utilized previously was an old version, and the company had only ever used it to track financial gifts and some in-kind. It was used to house data, but no strategies could be developed from that data.Reasons for Switching to Little Green Light
Experience told me that despite all the bells and whistles of these other products, it would be years before this agency would do much more than use the basic functionality. In addition, the company didn't have a dime to squander. LGL's low monthly rate is unbeatable, but, as we've come to discover, so is its product.- Industry: Education Management

Super easy to use and friendly database
Pros
I LOVE that the are multiple ways to get to the pages with the information that I need. I LOVE that it is super easy to use and easy to adjust to my needs. I LOVE that I could import all the data by myself with no need for an external developer. I LOVE that I could undo most of my changes (if I make mistakes or change my mind about the way to store my data.
Cons
I don't like that there isn't a customer service phone line (although I could find answers to most of my questions on their webpage OR got an answer by email). I wish there was an App version and that LGL forms had a mobile option.

Great affordable option for nonprofits!
Little Green Light has everything you need, nothing you don't, and is an excellent value for nonprofits on tight budgets.
Pros
Little Green Light offers many of the same features as much more expensive donation management software/CRMs, at a much more affordable price. Small to mid-sized nonprofits often don't have the budget to invest tons of $$ in the big-name donor CRMs, and I've found that many organizations don't need all those bells and whistles anyway. It tracks donors and donations, there's are solid events and grants management functions, you can create custom forms for event registration, donations, and other purposes (honestly almost worth the price right there), it integrates with several other common tools used by nonprofit communications & development staff (i.e. Constant Contact, last time I checked)... what more do you need? LGL was designed with nonprofits in mind (unlike some other tools out there that were originally designed for sales and only later shoehorned into a nonprofit tool) and this makes a difference. The terminology/field labels, the customer service folks, everything - all nonprofit-centric.We switched to LGL from a more expensive, but in my opinion less functional, donor CRM, and the process was pretty smooth. The worst part was cleaning up the data from our old system before loading it into LGL because our old system had not been well-maintained. The LGL customer service folks were helpful and responsive whenever I had questions, and overall it was a pretty painless experience, aside from the tedious work of cleaning up my old data!
Cons
I don't really remember any major cons. When I last used it, it had a few integrations with the most common software/tools, and probably has more now. It may not have quite as many integrations as some of the more expensive CRMs, so if those are very important to you, it's just something to check before you buy. You can probably use Zapier to set up any integrations that aren't built in.Another small thing to know - not really a con, because I think this is totally fair for the price, but just good to be aware of - is that their built-in email tool is more suited to sending event reminders, donor thank-yous, etc. than to email marketing. That isn't its purpose. In other words, don't expect to use the email function for your e-newsletter. You can integrate with Constant Contact or MailChimp (probably others by now) for that.

Our experience with LGL has been very positive. It was easy to install, customize, and learn. The online help library and support team are great.

LGL - a great first step!!!
Overall for the price this is a great software to get you going. It is functional and integrates wonderfully with Quickbooks.
Pros
LGL is a functional donor management system that integrates with QBO quite easily!!! We are a small non-profit that has very, very limited funds for management functions/software and this is a great product for the price and has helped us get over the mess of spreadsheets. It integrates also with some email services and PayPal quite easily.
Cons
I would love to see an integration with Facebook donations like they have with Paypal. Exporting and importing does work, but takes time and requires a bit of training. With volunteer office help, this could be difficult to teach consistently. Also, I would like to see additional features added to the forms integration. While this does work, it has not integrated with our website or the forms have not worked that well in phone apps so we are not using to the fullest and still need other options.

So much easier to use than some of the other development platforms
Pros
The ease of use of the software is a key element, entering new donors, gifts, and setting up forms are all super easy and follow basic logic. Creating mailings, acknowledgements, and reminders is also much easier than in other databases I've used.
Cons
My only con is that the dashboard doesn't automatically update except for once a day so you have to refresh each widget/area to see the impact of a batch of gifts, etc.

A little nuanced but great features, great price, and great service
Pros
It has just about everything that you would need! I love the extensiveness and customizability of the platform.
Cons
Sometimes, things are a little complicated. We would love to have more of our team proficient in LGL but it sometimes seems that the training that is needed is too extensive for what we need to do in LGL. For now we just let the team members with a good grasp of the platform use it.

Best affordable donor management software (and better than many more expensive options)
LGL has made my work much easier (they all promise that you'll spend less time in administration and more time raising money, and in this case that is the truth). LGL has also helped involve more of our staff and volunteers in the fundraising process.
Pros
This software is the perfect price for a small or mid-sized nonprofit both in terms of the subscription fee and the transaction fees on their donation form system, LGL Forms. They offer unlimited users, which can be given access appropriate to their role (for example, a volunteer manager can use LGL and only see constituents who are volunteers).
While the program may lack some of the automation more robust (and expensive) platforms offer, a little work on the front-end pays pretty big dividends in speeding up reporting, sending acknowledgements, list building - pretty much any standard development activity. The team at LGL are also extremely responsive to email and they seem to work around the clock on improving the software to fix bugs, add software integrations (such as Zapier and Constant Contact) and expand functionality.
Cons
There are some things that LGL doesn't do yet, or doesn't do as well as I would like. Depending on the payment processor you use (LGL forms only pairs with Stripe, PayPal, and ProPay) it lacks options for accepting ACH payments. There are some limitations in membership and volunteer management, and I would bypass LGL completely with a different software solution if those were major parts of our development operations.

LLGL - Love Little Green Light!
The knowledge base for LGL is one of the best I've ever used. It's comprehensive and the search function is well-designed. Anything I can't find in the knowledge base I reach out and your absolutely excellent customer service has been responsive and quick. They really know their product and features and you can tell, because you always get the answer you needed.
Pros
The search function for constituents is excellent. The PayPal integration, the reporting, the knowledge base - all of this is very helpful. I also appreciate your newsletters - I am still learning non-profit donor management and I always find something of interest.
Cons
I'd like integration with Stripe for payment platforms. I also think I'd like an easier way to take notes or keep notes about donors. Right now there is just a large blank text box for "Background Info"... if I want to note phone calls or conversations, or updates about this person it all goes into one box. Might be nice to have a feature that's like a chat update or a post that keeps track of these for you.

LGL has taken us to a new level of operational maturity.
We took twenty years worth of excel spreadsheets with the names of donors, prospects, event invitees and attendees and consolidated them all into LGL. At long last we have a robust and dynamic system that has helped us learn more about our donorbase and their giving trends. This has been invaluable for our current fundraising efforts and future projections. Not to mention the time we have saved managing our donors and development efforts.
Pros
For a small non-profit, affordability and ease of use are critical requirements and LGL offers both + more features than we could have ever hoped for. I knew from the first moment, after using the Flex Importer to upload a list of donors from a cumbersome old Excell SS, that LGL would forever change the way we organize, track and communicate with our donor base. The ability to easily enter constituents then segment and organize them with mailing lists, categories & tags has helped us achieve a maximum return on our appeals and events. LGL's integration with MailChimp has helped us quickly and inexpensively reach out and stay in touch with our donors. Our Letter and Email templates ensure that we send the right message to the right people at the right time. The Dashboard is a delight, both aesthetically and functionally - easy on the eye with quick access to everything I want to see and do. I am pleased with the reports and the ability to edit or build new ones as needed for specific purposes and audiences. My last top "pro" is LGL's Customer Service - best on the Web! Admittedly there are some features of LGL that I have yet to explore but as all non profits know , there is never enough time. That is why LGL is so perfect. Whatever type of non profit you are, be it large or small, however you might be staffed, be it by a low tech volunteer or a FT development director, LGL offers features and functionality at all levels that will help you grow and thrive
Cons
LGL offers so much more than any comparable program that I am just grateful to have you around! Cannot think of anything that I dislike about a company that is offering such a fantastic service to the non profit community.

Intuitive and easy to use
Great customer service, and they are constantly evolving in response to customer need.
Pros
LGL is designed to think like you think. Instead of a system that makes the user think like a computer system, this one is designed to operate in an intuitive fashion. It is logical and even useful for right-brained people. Constituents are managed in groups which makes customization easy. Support is there when you need it (so important after a purchase) and the value for the cost is quite high. I’d recommend for any size organization.
Cons
Sometimes there are inconsistencies or anomalies which support can fix but can’t explain to me. This has happened occasionally and has made me nervous about the integrity of a report or which constituents are receiving a communication. I also wish it came with maps data, so cities and zip codes were preloaded. There is an optional address verification feature which we are considering.

Pros

Cons

Great CRM at a great price
Little Green Light provides our small organization with a user friendly, thoughtful, and responsive constituent relationship management solution, and at one of the most reasonable prices in its field. We use it primarily to manage donations and relationships. Bottom line is the product is excellent and I recommend it to others.
Pros
LGL is easy to use from data entry to automated acknowledgements to the filters and reports and big picture review. The learning curve is very quick, which was important as I am the only one managing it, among the many other roles I have. One other person occasionally accesses the data, and it's been easy for them as well. One of the best features is the support that they provide. They respond very promptly and thoughtfully via email to any questions and issues. While I was initially concerned that I couldn't call with questions, this has never been an issue, and in fact the emails make it easy for me to send a link or screen shot of any issue I may be having when I can't figure out the solution from the plentiful online resources they provide. I've received many replies from them well after regular business hours. They also continually update their product in response to user needs and suggestions. There is plenty of room to customize fields and add custom tags, etc. There's also a great facebook group of users who support each other with suggestions about best practices within LGL and beyond.
Cons
The integrated donation forms could use a more modern look, but it still works well. While it might be nice if the whole admin interface was more modern, the interface is clean and the usability and features are the most important to me. Complex mapping for an import can occasionally be a challenge (likely with any product), but LGL has always responded quickly with solutions.

Pros
My favorite thing about LGL is the donor management system. I can keep track of so many details about our donors. It's obvious this software has been developed and improved based on REAL feedback from development professionals. I LOVE the 'tasks' feature! I also appreciate how dependable the customer support is.

Great value, great product
Customer service is critical - especially to small non profits who don't have a support team. A quality CRM is like another employee, it has to work FOR the organization, not be a hinderance with complexity. LGL is the perfect CRM for small shops - and larger shops too!
Pros

We used Excel before to track memberships and their renewal payments. Membership records are apart from the treasurer's job. LGL lets us both be team members and we both see the same data. No more emailing when a payment is received.
Pros
Tracking is almost effortless.Support is amazingly good and fast, even during the trial period.LGL integrates membership updating and payments with the forms. Forms let you record almost everything automatically when a form is submitted.
Cons
Integration with existing processes was very good, in fact it replaced the more problematic ones of coordinating among others responsible for different functions. The learning curve is steep, but well worth it.I wish we could have fewer categories showing that we do not use. Forms design could be more robust with colors and pictures.

Excellent nonprofit CRM
Pros
LGL was easy to use from day 1, though we were self-taught and definitely set up some less than ideal processes. We have started to use more of its features (communication tags, for example) and find them extremely helpful. If only we had discovered them sooner!
Cons
That we didn’t have the opportunity to get trained on all of its features when we first started using it.

A good and reasonably priced product. Used it for two organizations
Pros
I love the feature where you can track all donor correspondence with a bcc dropbox code.It works really well to call up different subsets of donors once you know the categories
Cons
I'd like to be able to delete some of the standard fields that are designed more for schools and have it be a bit easier to add fields. But the latter is pretty easy once you know how.

New setup of LGL
So far so good apart from finding missing data when we setup LGL integration.

Cons
Downloading old CRM program data was incomplete and needed much recovery fiddling.

We've tried other CRM's.... non compare to LGL.
Pros
We are relatively new at using the software, but, so far, it's been amazing. The trainings and support staff are amazing. Thank you so much!
Cons
We haven't had any issues with Little Green Light at this time.

Looks great, but the user interface could use some improvement
Pros
Excellent customer service, it's flexible, and the search feature is pretty great. It's way easier to manage compared to our last donor management software through Donor Impact.
Cons
The email feature had a weird bug and the user interface isn't my favorite. Nothing huge though that couldn't be resolved.

Give LGL a Try!
Excellent investment for our organization!
Pros
Having a cloud based product is really helpful and convenient.
Cons
Getting used to using the email functionality with appeals to ensure that spouse/partner also receive emails. Just a few details that I am still learning to use.

Looking for a Reasonably Priced Comprehensive Donor Management Software?
I have been in development for 30 years and used many donor management products from Raisers Edge to Harness. Our agency has been using LGL for 8 years. During that time, we actually tried other platforms. But kept it and came back to LGL for its ease of use and comprehensive tools that meet all of our needs. LGL was created from a donor management view. Many of the new platforms have been created from a social media view so they miss a lot of the critical elements that are needed to manage donors and help an agency be successful.
Pros
LGL is user friendly. Almost anyone with some database experience can work with this software in a very short time. It is forgiving. It is comprehensive. It does not have ALL the bells and whistles. But rarely does an organization actually use all of those. But it has what you really need to do a great job.
Cons
I would like to be able to have multiple contacts for a business or organization without adding another constituent for the same business.

A value based platform
Very positive. LGL has made it possible for us to provide a level of professionalism to our donor community that would be expected from a larger non-profit. We feel we have no limits to growth with LGL.
Pros
The program is very mature and has almost every feature that you would need as a non-profit. There is good documentation and support is excellent from LGL. I may get stuck but not for long! LGL Forms is an important upgrade and has streamlined many of our tasks.
Cons
It has a learning curve. While any feature you may seek is there to be found, many of the features are not very intuitive. The UI is not sexy but the application works flawlessly. I will say that the customer support is outstanding and very responsive. Anyone familiar with working with database applications will be comfortable with LGL.

I am so thankful to find LGL!
This is going to make a big difference in our organization. We will be able to easily see the impact this is making on our giving.
Pros
The intuitive nature of the CRM. It was so easy to figure out most things on my own. I continue to discover more things as I need them and LGL is already ahead of me as if it read my mind!
Cons
I made so many mistakes in my uploading, but it was so easy to undo and start over. Thank goodness.

Veterans Organization appreciates LGL
Pros
I'd say the most liked is the final building of the organization's health. Once all the data is in, everything flows to the appropriate budget area and the "light" comes on.
Cons
I would like to see a standard report of the organization's health. Example: Everything on the right of the dashboard is the report. No need to build it in the "reports" area. Just a standard report of the dashboard information on the right.
