This application allows me fluid communication with my clients, who can book classes, receive real-time updates and manage their payments easily and comfortably from their mobile devices. This has helped me strengthen relationships with my clients and improve member retention at my studio.
Cons
Sometimes I have experienced some technical difficulties, such as slow loading of the platform or failures in data synchronization. These problems don't happen often, they can be frustrating when I need to quickly access information or make changes to my schedule.

Great affordable software program
The customer service is phenomenal. They absolutely go out of their way to resolve issues and help you.
The system is easy to use and does everything I need it too!

I love that I can use one system to have my client list, book classes, take payments and manage memberships easily. I love that is easily connects to KISI so that my members get emailed access to the door as soon as they sign up!
Cons
I wish it would show a better detailed list for when a client uses punches for classes or if they cancel it shows they get a credit back. I also wish that the mobile app would allow me to manage memberships a bit better. I currently cant hold /pause a membership from my mobile app or I am unable to manually charge a client for a membership that is past due.
When a member is past due and they pay the amount by etransfer or cash i wish they had an option to select paid by other method but instead you have to write it off to get the membership back on track.

Do not use Glofox!
Awful! I would 100% stay away and save your money. Mindbody is criminally expensive and I would rather go there because their customer service was miles better.
Pros
Surface level, it looks pretty, easy to use and has a good customer user interface.
Cons
Their customer service is awful. I was told "I don't know, here's a YouTube video." They deactivated my entire business by accident, deleting all of my memberships and billing cycles. They were unable to fix it other than reopening the account to everything being deleted. Then refused to help or compensate us for lost revenue.

The demo was to the point, and they really understood my business offering and concerns from the get-go. The first company I have dealt with who understand the pain points of onboarding with technology that has really taken the customer experience to new heights. I was really impressed with onboarding portal that walks you through the site step-by-step - it really is time saving!

Worst Mistake of 2024
They told me they could transfer all my members (they meant only the adults not the kids), they told me I could enter in bank information (they meant the customer has to enter in their own bank information), they told me I would be able to transfer credit card transaction fees to the customer (they meant I could charge custom fees to specific memberships), and they did not tell me I would have to personally book each member into classes to track attendance. So much of this software is so complicated, and not at all a good fit for my business.
Pros
I liked the look of it. I was first attracted to Glofox from the modern look of the app and website integration.
Cons
Nothing was as promised. They will not give you straight answers as they sign you up. You have to pay before using the app. They will not refund unused paid months of their worthless service. If all you want is software where people register and book themselves into classes then this will work for you. If you want more out of your gym software management then this is not the product for you.

Expensive.
Poor. There was a lot of support and offering of deals prior to sign up. Beyond that point the price was hiked up hugely and terms changing meaning we were wrapped in for a long time. I would not recommend.
Pros
It was relatively simple to use and familiar from having previous usage at another gym.
Cons
The software available was very basic for the cost being extremely high. We had plenty of user problems too with people struggling to process their payments and lots of crashing within the app.
I am extremely disappointed with the change in terms meaning we now have to pay for another 3 months worth of usage on a product we now won’t use.

Nightmare do not purchase
I canceled my service with Glofox and continued to charge me $1300 after cancelation on a CC they had on file but was not authorized for them to charge. I tried calling and phone was answered by a really nice guy with NO authority. After 10 phone calls, I received an email saying from “manager” saying they will not refund me. I wish I canceled when they wouldn’t refund me for the broken equipment. They are now flagged by my bank, I’m reporting them to BB and hopefully they will not have access to my funds again.

They sold me broken equipment, charged me every month for services I didn’t use and continued to charge me after I canceled this service. (Handheld terminal).

Glofox Review
Really good overall. Its made my life so much easier from an organizational point of view and a professional point of view. My clients really love being able to book into their classes themselves and cancel within the time frame if they need to.[sensitive content hidden] was my go to person to help me get set up and she was so so helpful and was straight back to me if I ever had any difficulty so she was fantastic to have as there were times that I had trouble figuring things out and she was so helpful.

Pros
Glofox is very easy to use both as a client and an owner. As a client what I liked the most is you can easily book without signing too many forms. As an owner it has great reports, lead management and marketing.
Cons
There are a few features which need to be included. The late fee is something which is very important for pilates studios. I understand this can be done manually however when you have lots of admin work to do this is tiresome. I recommend this process be automated and the studio owner can select the amount the client will be charged if they do not show to class or cancel within the cancellation period. I also recommend Glofox included more functions in the cancellation window. For early morning classes I would like to have an eight hour cancellation period so people understand if they get into the class or not before going to sleep. Whilst for daytime and night classes the cancellation period can be 2-4 hours or whatever the owner deems suitable. This gives the owner more flexibility and something I would like to see in the future.

We have enjoyed growing under Glofox. It's ease of use benefits clients and staff. Even our less technologically inclined staff and customers can navigate both ends with ease. We enjoy the professionalism of the app and software. We are so glad we opted to go with Glofox instead of competitors.

Glofox is easy for our customers and staff to use and navigate. We use it for our Fitness Center. Our center has ~350 members who use it for class bookings and private training. We offer ~40 unique group exercise classes a week (included in membership), have private pickleball court rentals, and special one-off classes that members can book for an additional charge. It's very easy for members to book and cancel classes, and it's easy for us to create them. We appreciate how easy the admin dashboard is. We also love having a branded app to represent our company.
Cons
We had to jump through hoops a little bit initially while trying to move everyone over - there were mostly issues with our check-in kiosk and the Glofox barcodes. Clients would be missing a waiver and it wouldn't scan them in, but it wouldn't alert them that they needed the waiver signed either. We have to manually generate barcodes for some clients because they wouldn't scan in.

The initial onboarding was a bit chaotic due to my personal reasons and the personal reasons of my assigned onboarding manager. Now that I have finally gotten a hold of Customer success managers [sensitive content hidden], I have been able to have very productive meetings and correct a lot of inefficiencies and incorrect setups that were not correct during the onboarding process.

Would not recommend - poor customer support and too expensive.
Customer support has been poor at best. I've been trying to cancel my subscription as a gym and studio owner, and it took a month before I received a confirmation about cancelling my membership. Despite multiple emails, calls, and submitted tickets. Since then, I've ben trying to get my data migrated to a new system and am once again begin ghosted. I do not recommend ABC Glofox.

1. Reporting is not robust enough and when I've asked for my own data, I'm met with roadblocks.
2. Glofox doesn't allow for gift cards.
3. Price increases that do not correlate with improved functionality or support.

5. Lead-Client functionality does not capture our business model well enough and I can't adjust it.
6. Cancellation process has been arduous.

Jumped in too early, got soaked.
I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts regarding my recent experience with GloFox.
While I appreciate the friendly demeanor of the staff, I have unfortunately encountered significant challenges with support from both the staff and management. We were charged $1,500 despite not being fully onboarded due to ongoing software issues. It appears that the contract primarily serves to protect GloFox from customer dissatisfaction and the implications of its practices.
I feel that management prioritizes financial gain over customer satisfaction, which has impacted my overall experience. I believe there is an opportunity for improvement in how customer concerns are addressed.

Other solutions such as Mindbody, Acuity, and Vagaro offered the features GloFox lacked but we did not discover these missing features until we signed a 3-month contract.
Spend more time than you think you need with the sales staff before committing. Software may work for a ton of companies but if you have a unique use case then ask every question you have before signing anything and make them demo everything before signing. They will not let you out of the contract even when they realize they will not be able to serve your needs. $1500 wasted.

Where do I start? Everything…from the setup…to dealing with their employees and their schedules, the errors that it has regarding payments and modifying a class, the bad integration with websites, when you cancel they play like you didn’t follow their steps…seriously explore more options before you get into this mess of an app

Horrible customer service
Awful! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The people answering the phones are very nice, but they have no answers to any questions and the managers won’t call you back.
Pros
I don’t know. The customer service was so awful I never was able to experience their services.
Cons
If you are ok with waiting 48 hours to fix any issues you have with your Glofox app, then you will be fine. I sent several emails trying to get a call back to receive help with an onboarding dilemma and could not get help from Glofox. You will get someone from customer service to answer, but no one that can actually help with an issue. If you end up needing to speak to a manager, you will never get a response. Way over priced for the service you getS.

Dont do it
We had issues with customers not approving payments. Customers received their purchase but we didn't receive payment! I flagged this with Glofox (it was a software flaw), they basically said tough sh*t. The customer support is useless, the software is constantly glitching.
Disgrace don't go near them,

Louise is 1 in a million
It started off as a negative one but now I’m fully onboarded it’s turned into a positive after all the help I received from Louise

Client Migration
Overall I have had a great experience so far. I migrated the client list from one system to another as I took over a branch from another business and re-branded. I was dreading the data migration as it was taking place before the Easter bank holiday weekend. Glofox Review
Great experience with the onboarding support from Louise. So far pretty good, I am still getting the hang of using the system with customers as it does seem like you have to allow them to run into issues before everything works smoothly.
Pros
I found my onboarding coach incredibly helpful and really available to email for help and schedule meetings with. She really helped me to understand the system and be able to use it in a way that will work for my business as I was quite overwhelmed by it all and would have been lost without her help.
Cons
I feel like there are some costs and features that aren't well explained in order to possible get extra add ons purchased.
Some features seem a bit overcomplicated.

Biggest mistake for my start up
Biggest mistake I’ve made for my start up was getting a Glofox subscription
Pros
Nothing, it was hard to use and the company were so unhelpful once the sales person was done with me and they had me on a yearly subscription
Cons
That I spent so much money on a platform that was unnecessary for my business and the company still decided to upsell what I didn’t need. Do not sign an annual contract you will regret it. Research all your options as there are platforms for £10 a month that do the same.
