ServiceTrade is our Customer Service Department

Pros

ServiceTrade allows us to integrate our sales and quoting with our implementation and delivery of our services seamlessly to our customers.

Cons

The onboarding could have been a little more clear with how we should set up our assets with our recurring services. We had to make multiple attempts at getting the assets set up correctly in the beginning.

We weren't getting any benefits with the service other than recording inspections. There was nothing tying the inspections to the correction of deficiencies.

The centralized Online Dashboard and Layout.

Cons

Actual human live customer support is almost non-existent. No dedicated support, everything is by online service ticket, usually handled 6-8 hours or the next day.

ServiceTrade

Outstanding. Customer support and technical support are timely and concise. Both our office and field staff learned the program very quickly.

Pros

Great product support, very adaptable product that is easy to use.

Cons

Labor and Material entry screen on work orders is a little jumpy. You can easily move line items wherever needed, but you have to save and refresh to get them to stay put.

All In One Tool

ServiceTrade has allowed our service department to keep our eyes on all the relevant information to execute our projects. The ServiceTrade team has been great to work with between training, modifying, and building the services we needed.

Pros

Quoting, tracking, inventory levels, billing, paperwork dispatchment, technician scheduling is all straightforward and easy to use/learn.

Cons

You have to be exact in the search bar, else it won't find what you're looking for.

A very user friendly app, my company left Service Trade for about 2 years but thankfully have returned because of the improvements that have been made in the back office area

We adore Service Trade!

I have been a Service Trade user since 2016 and it has been a great experience. They keep adding features and the features that are there are great for businesses with reoccurring services such as ours in the service industry.

Pros

Service Trade has everything we need for our fire suppression business. We especially love how we can set up reoccurring services and reoccurring jobs.

Cons

I can't think of anything. We absolutely love Service Trade!

Streamlined our day-2-day

I can honestly say that The use of service trade software has saved us money by streamlining the way we enter, schedule, dispatch, close out, quote and invoice service calls and repairs.

Pros

Ease of use and ability to look up history of units

Cons

Wish there was a way to block off techs time for vacation or medical leave on dispatch board.

Service trade is my new love!

Service trade has made my work life so much easier. It has cut down on the time it takes for scheduling, helps us assure that our repeat services are on track, and makes it easy to communicate deficiencies with our clients.

I love how easy it is to schedule reoccurring jobs.

Cons

The invoicing is clunky trying to integrate with our QuickBooks. Too many clicks, I find it easier to maintain invoicing through our QuickBooks system.

Servie Trade is a great software for any Commercial HVAC Service Company

From our introduction to almost 2 years later Service Trade has been reliable and trustworthy partner to help us achieve our business goals. The additional features and offerings they have introduced proves they are dedicated to helping us succeed.

Pros

The ease for our clients to access information about upcoming and past servie visits along with information by each of their assets has been a differentiator. Our service support team and servie technicians praise Service Trade because it is much easier to use compared to our previous software.

Cons

Flexibility with tasking forms is not the greatest but manageable, Servie Trade is being a great partner by listening to us along with working with us to improve this. Integration to our existing ERP doesn’t exist but Servie Trade has worked closely with us to deploy alternative methods.

Service Trade is a valuable tool to help manage our business from intake to invoicing.

Cons

I would like to see all the add on features (Parts Ledger & Timecard) to be accessed through the main software website/Mobil app. We also need affordable solutions to integrate with other 3rd party Facility Management Software's. (Service Channel, Corrigo, Simple FM, Ecotrak).

Worth Every Dollar!!!

Pros

Servicetrade provides real time access to photos, videos and paperwork that allow me to provide real time updates on repairs to clients. In the information world we live in today, Servicetrade allows for real time updates on the status of repairs.

Cons

The dispatch board does not update without refreshing.

Game Changer

Pros

Building new customers, quoting, building database of service history.

Cons

Using the web interface on my phone. There are occasions where I need to revise and resubmit my quote on-the-go away from my laptop and it can be difficult to edit the quote and resend from my phone.

Well, I open the app every morning, soon as I'm in my van. My appointment for the day is there & ready to go. It's just easy for me, I really enjoy servicetrade.

I have been very satisfied with ServiceTrade.

Pros

I am very happy with the intregration progress, and the support given to us from the ServiceTrade onboarding team. They are very helpful. They don't leave you once you go live. Support is always a click away and they are very quick to respond.

Cons

I feel the way ServiceTrade interacts with Quick Books could be better. We were lead to believe ServiceTrade would "talk" to Quick Books better than it does.

My overall experience with ServiceTrade has been positive. The software provided a comprehensive solution for managing service operations, from scheduling and dispatching to invoicing and reporting. Its robust feature set and real-time mobile access enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of service workflows. However, the complexity of the user interface was a minor drawback that could benefit from improvements to enhance user-friendliness. Nonetheless, ServiceTrade proved to be a valuable tool for streamlining service management processes.

Pros

One of the things I liked most about ServiceTrade was its comprehensive service management features. The software provided a robust set of tools for managing service orders, scheduling appointments, and tracking service activities. The ability to create detailed job records, capture customer signatures, and generate professional invoices streamlined the entire service workflow. Additionally, the integration with mobile devices allowed technicians to access and update information in real-time, improving communication and efficiency.

Cons

One thing I liked least was the complexity of the user interface. The software offered extensive functionalities, but the interface could sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users. Navigating through various features and settings required some learning curve, and it would have been helpful to have a more intuitive and simplified user interface to improve the overall user experience.

Good bang for the buck

Overall, Servicetrade is a powerful tool. It takes the stress of managing customers and jobs once it is implemented fully.

Pros

The customer database is easy to use, the mobile app works well and is not overly complicated for the field guys. Integration with our existing Quickbooks system was fairly straight forward. Billing and quoting work very well. The email tracking of quotes to customers is nice.

Cons

There is a learning curve. It has some quirks that will hang you up until you understand them. The analytics could be better. tracking certain things is tough. Tracking time for payroll is almost impossible.

Great product that does not overwhelm office or field staff

From rollout to ongoing field operation, ServiceTrade has been a breath of fresh air for our service department.

Pros

How simple the project was to work through whether on a computer in the office or on a phone / tablet in the field.

Cons

Pulling reports for open work orders could be easier to avoid calls getting lost week over week and invoicing falling behind.

Don't trust this software with your business's vital processes

We used ServiceTrade for over 6 years for all aspects of our fire alarm business. It was a great software at the beginning.
That being said, they have made too many updates that were not properly tested, and the end result is a software that just doesn't work anymore. They are no longer a high quality product, but continue to charge as if they were.
If you use ServiceTrade for all of your business's processes- installation, work order tracking, recurring service work, invoicing, profitability tracking, timecards, inventory management- you will be extremely disappointed in the result.

Pros

This software is user friendly. Your field staff will like the UI- either through the cell phone or a tablet.
Very customer friendly. Automated emails with custom links is terrific.
Overall their product looks great on the surface, and the presentation is top notch.

Cons

This software is EXPENSIVE. There are much more cost efficient alternatives that perform just as well.
Major updates are frequently rolled out without notice, and have a huge impact on your processes.
Each update results in more bugs, and have a cumulative negative result on the performance of the software. Updates also effect the app, so field staff are constantly having issues, and have to delete/reinstall the software.
Data is extremely difficult to mine (and yes, it costs extra to access that data). Determining how your techs perform, gross profit for projects, sales numbers are almost impossible to gather, and is often inaccurate once you figure out how to run the report.
This software does not handle different tax rates, and will result in you charging the wrong rates to your customers, costing you money.
Every feature costs more money- and the features frequently do not work as intended. (Timecards, recurring invoicing are major disappointments)

I don't know what I would do without Service Trade!! It makes my job so much easier.

Pros

There are so many things I love about Service Trade!! One of my favorite things is being able to see all of the jobs at one location all on the same screen! That way I can look at all of the jobs & pick which one I want to look at. If it's not the one I need I can go back to the location screen & look at the other jobs. Sometimes I have to look at other jobs to get correct paperwork or pictures. So this feature makes my job a lot easier. I like how we can put helpful or important notes in the description box & it's the first thing you see when you bring the job up. It's such a time saver to be able to look at when the tech's clock in & out of jobs so you can see how long they drove & where on site by looking at the Clock Events quickly. The map on the main screen of the job helps us determine locations & directions. The techs being able upload their required paperwork & pictures at the job site is a life saver! We used to do everything the hard way. Our techs would have to bring the physical paperwork back to the office for us to scan into the computer. And the picture issue was a nightmare trying to get them non-digitally. My job location may be changing & my scared that they are not going to have Service Trade & I will have to go back to the dinosaur ages again to take care of the paperwork & pictures. My job without Service Trade would be miserable!

Cons

I can not hardly think of anything that I don't like about Service Trade! Every once in a while I can see a paper that a tech uploaded, but when you try to open it to the full screen it will just be white & there is no paper, so then I can't save it. And sometimes it will not let you adjust a paper or picture with the dragging the corners feature. But those things only happen like 1 time a month, if that.

ServiceTrade offers everything we need and more.

As a busy Service Company in the HVAC/Refrigeration industry, we have a number of areas within our business. Dispatching new service calls, completing routine scheduled Preventive Maintenance visits, payroll to hours employees, commission to other employees and quoting repairs from both within and out in the field. This software does it all. I went from payroll being a nightmare of hand written time sheets and multiple days of work to running a Clock Event Report from ServiceTrade and having my payroll done in 1-2 hours for an entire weeks worth of work. I particularly like the flow of the quoting and email notifications which keep me informed as the owner even when I am not in my office. My management and supervisors all have the ability to receive those same notifications and are already planning and proceeding with the work before I’ve even returned to my desk/office.

Pros

This software has many different features that help our business daily and combines everything needed in one software. Whether its time clocking for payroll, dispatching, re-curing jobs or quoting there are so many features to this software that continue to streamline our operations. ServiceTrade has a modern day approach to making our service work visible to the customer with pictures/videos all combined within the digital experience that todays customers demand. We struggled with a number of other softwares in the past before finally finding ServiceTrade.

Cons

With any multi-layer software that has many features, it takes time to learn and navigate through everything that it provides. I promise you that once you cross over the initial learning curve, you will be impressed with what this software can do to help all your employee’s jobs and lesson yours as business owners.

No need to look at any other software!

I really enjoy working with and in ServiceTrade. It checks all of my bases and makes my life easier.

Pros

We've been using ServiceTrade for a few years now and really love using it. Before we were just using QuickBooks and this has simplified everything. I like how jobs are created, how a technician can create deficiencies (with pictures), the quoting process, monitoring quotes from customer viewing to approvals, the constant checking in from our reps, customer service is quick to respond and assist, how ServiceTrade really takes your input and creates fixes for you, the different scheduling and dispatch tools/windows, I like how I can see the clocking in and out from en-route to on the job to completion status. It really checks all of our boxes and have no need to look at any other software.

Cons

I don't really have anything currently that I do not like. I am still using the old dispatch screen because I feel it is a little more basic and I am used to it. I may use the new screen more if it could sort the jobs in alphabetical order. Right now it is hard to find a particular location because you can't sort alphabetically unless something has changed.

Nearly perfect business tool that will continuously be refined over time

My experience with Service Trade has been mostly positive and the only real snags have been the lack of even broader or more precise modifications or adjustments to how information is either presented or collected when it comes to assets. The more specificity, the better.

Pros

The best part of Service Trade is the cohesive integration of between roles. Scheduling, dispatching, creation of job/services, collection of client information for a robust and useful database, creating invoices and billing, the ability to create tags for each asset, client, location, etc. How each step in the process from brand new client to billing said client flows seamlessly with different approaches to how much or little information is needed or shared makes this a nearly flawless experience.

Cons

The lack of ability to rearrange the information fields for asset names. Not being able to do that with the help of a Technical Account Manager (TAM) was frustrating as the TAM had a lot on their plate and was tasked with more important tasks to the company than satisfying my OCD with naming schemes. Not the TAM's fault.

Great Product with Areas to Improve

Pros

I really think that this product makes the scheduling and dispatching side of our work very easy and quick. It cuts out a lot of time wasted on communication by giving us the ability to access/schedule from anywhere and connect with our techs and customers in an instant. Referring back to past completed jobs and keeping tabs on job history of when/who/what as well as deficiencies has never been easier.

Cons

While this application makes dispatching and scheduling so much easier, it is lacking in almost every other area that makes a business run and does not make the integration process easy, so we find ourselves using multiple different apps when we'd prefer to just use ServiceTrade as our primary for everything including accounting and billing. My biggest gripe is that there should be an option to set up notifications for things like New Deficiencies Added and upcoming contracts about to expire. A simple but accessible Admin Mobile App would also be a huge bonus so that we can schedule, add comments to locations, or view deficiencies on the go.

Love service trade! This makes my job so much easier! And also the technicians job a lot easier as well!!

Pros

What I love most about service trade is how easy it is to schedule jobs on service trade. Also, when you put an account in the first time, it saves the account so the following year you do not have to re enter the account information. Also, what I like is that you can look up an account just by the address. Super helpful, and that the map showing what jobs are already on the schedule and each person has their own color pin.

Cons

The only thing is that sometimes when you go to edit a job, when you click and move the mouse over the typed information, the window will close. Not all the time but once in a while.

Work with greater efficiency and professionalism

The overall experience has been very positive. I have found Service Trade easy to use and made my work more productive.

Pros

The professionalism presented to the customer. With the Service Trade platform all of our admin is streamlined from the office to the field and back again. It leads to timely information to the right places, and helps us present a very positive and professional image to our customers. Consistently.

Cons

The complaint is less of Service Trade and more a systemic problem routes in the reliance of mobile data. When cellular coverage is marginal or lacking it bogs the program down.

Ease of use, offers numerous types of services, ability to sync with Netsuite

Cons

More complicated larger jobs are difficult and tedious. ServiceTrade could be more intuitive when it comes to progress billing.

Very Easy to use and very user friendly

Again, I love the usefulness of ST. I would definitely recommend it to any company.

Pros

the invoicing of each job is super easy to use. I love the fact that you can see when the customer views the invoice.

Cons

The syncing with Sage 100 sometimes has its issues. Not syncing with the appropriate codes, is a hassle. There are a lot of work arounds we have to use for it come out correctly coded.

Love the product for the service industry

Pros

Quick resolution to issues and workflow hiccups

Cons

Continued education seems to be a big issue for us, it's mostly because of our internal complex workflow but a general educational workshop would be great. I've gone through the certification process a few months ago and those seemed a bit dated as well.

National Account Sales Manager

Exceptional. ServiceTrade has been a HUGE asset and has allowed us to manage the fire and life safety programs for large customers with ease.

Pros

ServiceTrade has been a valuable tool on so many levels. I think ease of management is what I like most.

Cons

If I had to choose one thing I think it would be how it integrates with certain apps. Hubspot is an example with synch issues but that may be on our end or on Hubspots end.

Pipe fitting

I really like it!I think more people should be aware of it so that it covers your butt for the owner and contractor.

Pros

I can take pictures and write what I done that day are week and go back to it If someone says I didn’t do it.

Cons

They want us to comment after photos after you have took pictures.

Greatly Satisfied!

Pros

I use ServiceTrade every day to dispatch our technicians, I like that they are able to have all information for their jobs while on site and able to look at the history of that location.

Cons

I wish that ServiceTrade had a feature that sent me a notification when a technician clocked out of a jobsite so I knew it was complete without me having to look if it was complete.

Drop the Paper

We love ST and cannot imagine going back to the old paper hand written work orders, phone call dispatching and having to look in multiple places for information in order to send an invoice.

Pros

The ability to provide our techs with all the info needed in one place. We can track their time via clock events, record comments, deficiencies and photos videos to prove the work was done and to a high standard.

Cons

Onboarding out technicians was difficult and we learned (after some trial and error) that proper training upfront is imperative. We have also has some issues with Time Card and glitches with the software over time.

Best Platform

Pros

I love that I can manage multiple accounts with service trade. I have the ability to send proposals and set up jobs using the proposals that approved by customers. It's GREAT for scheduling jobs daily, weekly & monthly.

Cons

I would like to be able to filter out things more within types of services/jobs.

Do not risk your company on this product

The initial rollout was great however as fast as the program was operational, they became crickets.
Updates & upgrades have caused unexplained data and functionality loss.
Do not trust them.
You will lose customers and employees
