Online and pretty easy to plan around > > **Cons**: Customer service experience is truly terrible. Lack of an English/Spanish language option; inconvenient customer service hours resulted in wasted money and time. > > OpenEnglish is VERY difficult to deal with\!\! They consistently make it IMPOSSIBLE to actually talk to anyone in English (which I find very ironic) about customer service needs. I have called multiple times. Each time I have been handed off to multiple people only to be told that they cannot help me and to call again another time. Due to the consistent run around with customer service, I get the impression that there are employee incentives to prevent customers from adjusting their learning programs. The evergreens clauses in the Bootcamp and Regular Course contract options are cumbersome to navigate. The lack of customer service has ended up costing me over $200 more than planned. My recommendation to OpenEnglish are: Provide a Spanish and English language service at the front end of your call center operations. My recommendation to anyone considering this service is to read the fine print in the contracts and be prepared to get a hard sell (think timeshare sales techniques) on the front end and back end of your experience. I don’t recommend OpenEnglish at all. You are better off using a different platform and learning service.
