## Reviews

### "Thunderbird, the GO-TO Lightweight mailing client" — 5.0/5

> **Austin** | *17 October 2023* | Pharmaceuticals | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I think the most impactful thing about Thunderbird is the community that uses the software, making it evolve constantly and performing better. It is awesomely easy to set up and makes yourself feel really at ease, with a simple UI and plugin enhancements that make it even better.
>
> **Cons**: I think Cloud support could be more extensive, to make Thunderbird evolve to the next level, the team should really make it an objective inside the application.
>
> We started using Thunderbird as an alternative for our outlook clients, performing even better during the days, and making it a go-to software for our new installations.

### "A proof that free can be good" — 4.0/5

> **Jose Miguel** | *9 June 2023* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I am sure that many people like me came to this product because it is the Mozilla Foundation behind it. We all know how they think about their product, making privacy their flagship. In the case of Thunderbird, you can find a robust email client with functionalities at the level of many other paid clients. If I need to list Thunderbird's advantages, I will start by talking about its extensibility, making it one of the first email clients you can improve and customize with free third-party add-ons. Another great addition of the last years was the "Smart folders," making your multiple account inbox easier to visit and search.Right now I am using Thunderbird for all my personal emails, and the client has all you need to manage successfully all your personal data flow.Thunderbird is free, and for sure is the best option for email clients at this tier.
>
> **Cons**: I will list the things I think can be improved in Thunderbird, but I repeat, we are in front of a robust FREE client, so please consider this when you read about the following points.Complexity: While Thunderbird's extensibility is a strength, it can also be a weakness. The sheer number of options and settings can be overwhelming for less tech-savvy users, and it may take some time to configure it to your liking. This one was my first problem after I switch from Microsoft Outlook.Aesthetics and UI: For me, this is a big problem. While this is subjective, and the interface can be customized, when you open Thunderbird you are looking at a user interface that has not been modernized according to the times. No Native Mobile Application: On June 22, Thunderbird announce the partnership with K-9 email to make real the Android native mobile application, until now, this not happens. Almost all people manage their emails on the go from their smartphones, so again, this is a must for a modern email client.
>
> Since I have been using Thunderbird, I never regret my switch from Outlook. Over the years, although the development has not been fast, it has been fast enough for the product to adapt, at least in functionality, to what every mail client must deliver to its user.If you are looking for a robust free email client, Thunderbird is the best option.

### "The free email client" — 3.0/5

> **Sara** | *25 June 2024* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Thunderbird is free and allows to manage multiple accounts email, so if you want to save money and use a regularly updated program without problems about licenses/demo/trial etc., you are doing the right choice.
There is a lot of documentation on internet, so in case of troubles (or simply if you need to do further settings) you will easily find your answer.
After you have configured at least one email account, you will see your email folders on the left and all your emails on the right.
Creating and organizing your emails and folders is easy and intuitive.
>
> **Cons**: The settings interface is a bit confusing; in the future 365 email accounts may have issues to works as Thunderbird does not belong to Microsoft.
>
> I use Thunderbird on PCs that have not Office installed and I need an email client instead of the web one.
I don't like very much the menu, especially the settings section. The interface looks a bit older, compared to other email clients.
Anyway Thunderbird is a good program, but if you use a 365 email account I recommend Outlook instead.

### "Thunderbird needs more integration with other software" — 4.0/5

> **Wiktor** | *16 June 2023* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 7.0/10
>
> **Pros**: It is fast, easy to use and the search function is excellent. You can easily find conversation without knowing its exact topic, content or receiver, thunderbird can find it even wtih some general keywords.
>
> **Cons**: Lack of integration with another softwares that controls workflow. It is just separate software without connection to other processess in my organization. I would like to see it integrated with some note taking apps, communictaion softwares like Slack, Calendars, projects managment software etc.
>
> It is good inbox managment software for the smaller companies or solo enterprenuers, but when you need to optimize some processess in your organization, it may lack integration abilities.

### "Thunderbird is the ONLY email software you need." — 5.0/5

> **Adam** | *5 October 2022* | Entertainment | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Thunderbird is so easy to setup. Also if there is an option you want included such as a calendar or todo list or whatever, it integrates easily with add-ons and tools. There is nothing missing when it comes to this power tool\!
>
> **Cons**: The software has never let me down. There is nothing to say about "like least". It works. It is easy to learn. And use it every day. And have for YEARS.
>
> Thunderbird handles multiple email accounts. There is even a chat feature. It sorts my email. It removes the Spam and Junk correctly. It archives and stores my past emails and keeps them where they can be searched and accessed at any time. A life saver finding old emails once again\!
