Paymo - Efficient and Cost Effective!
Pros
I use Paymo mostly for time tracking and invoicing, but also for tracking expenses. Paymo makes it a breeze to track my time and then invoice my clients - with one click, all the time I've entered is populated in my invoice and I can even choose to include a summary of my time entry notes if needed. Their Support team is also super responsive and helpful when I've had questions.
Cons
Nothing! Very happy with this platform.

Profitability track with time tracking and project managment
Pros
Paymo excels as a comprehensive project management and time tracking tool especially for freelancers and agencies handling multiple clients and projects.
The user-friendly interface makes it easy to navigate thorugh the app, and learn how to use it in minutes. The best feature is the ability of granularly keeping track of the profitability of a project at task level.
The balance between simplicity and advanced functionality is well-maintained. The ability to assign tasks, monitor progress, and generate detailed invoices all within one platform saves significant time and effort. Additionally, the Gantt charts and Kanban boards provide great flexibility for visualizing project timelines and workflows.
Cons
The mobile app, while functional, feels slightly less polished compared to the desktop version, and certain features, like time tracking, can be a bit cumbersome to use on smaller screens.
The lack of subtask feature is a big issue for managing complex projects.
Additionally, while the reporting capabilities are good, they could benefit from more customization options to accommodate diverse business needs.

Very useful tool, but expect to pay for included features whether you need them or not
Always loved using the tool, and happy with how it met our needs. Nearly tripling the price to continue using it as we had for years prior was not acceptable to us.
Pros
Very reliable and easy to use time tracking and project management tool.
Cons
Greatly increased their pricing (nearly tripled) as features were added. And they limited how much historical data could be held in the system unless we signed on with the price increase. The additional features were not needed by us, so the ability to continue to use the tool and to have continued access to the data we had saved to it were held hostage to agreeing the price increase, even though the service we need did not include any of the new features.

Paymo is designed to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses
My overall experience with Paymo is that it is a useful and comprehensive software for managing projects, time tracking, invoicing, and billing. It has many features that can help freelancers and small businesses to plan, execute, and deliver their work efficiently and accurately.
Pros
Paymo helps you automate your invoicing process by setting up recurring invoices, late payment reminders, and thank you notes.
Cons
It does not have a native mobile app, only a web app that is not very responsive on small screens.

I found Paymo and never looked back
I love it! I recommend this to those who are looking for easy to manage and straightforward platform for time, project, and task management and invoicing.
Pros
I love the ease of use and how the features suit all my needs (tasks management, time tracking, invoicing, project management, time reports).
It’s super user-friendly and pretty straightforward.
Cons
Top of mind room for improvement would be the Time Reports view. I hope when I archive reports, it won’t appear on the sidebar anymore. It just seems to cluttered seeing everything there.
What I’m doing is filtering but I hope there’s a fixed solution there.

Pros
It has a simple interface and I can easily plan our projects and track the tasks even if I am not a professional project manager. It does not complicate the user's work with unnecessary details.

Pros
Easy to set up, easy to continue using. a favorite feature is that I can make my project templates, offer templates etc. Customizable templates save me lot of time and makes my small company look professional. I like sync possibilities with Google calendar.
Cons
I would like to have labeling system fro task.

A good tool that gets the job done.
Not good, not bad. It does what it’s supposed to do with little fuss. Could be better for the price, but is adequate, and after 10 years of using it, it’s just comfortable.
Pros
Fairly straight forward interface, customer support is helpful, but with some delay.
Cons
Some bugs after app update that have not been worked out - new releases do not always work well with Safari - a bit costly for what it is - desktop app is severely outdated, very low resolution (blurry) on modern high resolution monitors - new desktop app needs to be developed - no ability to view, create or edit invoices, estimates, projects or client info in the IOS mobile app. The IOS mobile app is only useful for time keeping, which is pretty much useless.

Easy yet powerful project management software
We did a comprehensive review of project planning and management software available on the market for our needs as a small business consultancy and Paymo came up as the most comprehensive feature-set at a very reasonable price. In addition the firm and development team are European, very strong and responsive.
Pros
Easy to setup and use. We've developed models based on various project types and Paymo made its way into our daily routine.
Cons
The only feature missing for us as a small business consultancy is the ability to customize a viewing feature of a project plan and progress for various roles outside the delivery team. I'm confident though that the product team will build it.

Streamline Project Management with Paymo
Pros
Having used Paymo extensively for managing my freelance projects, I can confidently recommend it to anyone seeking a comprehensive project management solution. Paymo's intuitive interface simplifies task management, while its precise time tracking feature ensures accurate billing. The seamless integration of invoicing streamlines the entire billing process, saving me valuable time. Moreover, the collaboration tools facilitate smooth communication with clients and team members, enhancing productivity. Whether you're a freelancer juggling multiple projects or a small business seeking to streamline operations, Paymo is a reliable choice that has significantly improved my workflow and project outcomes.
Cons
One common critique of Paymo is its limitation in exporting Gantt charts directly to Excel. This can be frustrating for users who rely heavily on Excel for data analysis or further manipulation of project timelines. While Paymo does offer exporting options for Gantt charts in other formats such as PDF or image files, the inability to export directly to Excel may pose an inconvenience for those accustomed to working extensively with Excel spreadsheets.

Very good time tracking app
Overall, I find Paymo Track to be very good at tracking time, and do not find that a lot of AI time trackers work as well.
Pros
I really like the Paymo Track time management tool which can sync with my desktop apps. The small widget allows me to track time while also having other work on the screen at the same time. Being able to have a way of tracking time which isn't on another browser tab is invaluable to me.
Cons
I find the way Paymo Track clumps together some of my tasks on the timeline view hard to use. I often have to switch tasks quite regularly due to the nature of my work so this makes it a bit harder sometimes for me to allocate my time to the appropriate client.

Easy to use webappplication.
It has been great! I like using it. It's easy and does what we ask of it.
Pros
- Paymo is user friendly.
- Paymo gives you a chance to see where you invest your time in.
- The different colors per project give you structured insights.
- The timesheet reports have "live tracking", which means you only have to create one and it will update every time you open it and show you your spent hours per month per task (you can choose which details you see).
- The responsiveness is excellent. It's never slow.
- You can see what your colleagues are working on and keep track of mutual time tracking of meetings.
Cons
- The "copy" feature doesn't work sometimes. It just doesn't copy or doesn't paste (at all or at the right spot).
- For newer projects: sometimes the person who created the tasks, adds more tasks under different titles. It makes it difficult to find the right place to log. The admin should have great structure skills and should try to keep the task list structure the same for each project in order not to confuse his colleagues who log tasks.

Unveiling the Power of Paymo's Project Management Suite
Pros
Paymo offers a comprehensive suite of project management tools that have truly streamlined our workflow. What I like most about Paymo is its user-friendly interface, which makes it incredibly easy for our team to collaborate effectively. The time tracking feature is particularly helpful, allowing us to accurately monitor project progress and allocate resources efficiently. Overall, Paymo has significantly increased our productivity and organization, making it an indispensable tool for our business.
Cons
While Paymo offers a range of valuable features, there are a few areas where it could improve. While the existing templates are useful, having more flexibility to tailor them to our specific needs would be beneficial. Additionally, the mobile app interface could be more intuitive, as navigating certain features feels slightly clunky compared to the desktop version. Finally, while the customer support is generally responsive, there have been instances where resolution times could be quicker. Despite these minor drawbacks, Paymo remains a valuable tool for our team's project management needs.

Excellent task- and time tracking software for small agencies
Pros
Task management and time tracking is baked into ONE system so you pay once, not for two different systems. Easy to use like Asana, but packed with more functionality, like Clickup – but much better than either.
Cons
Paymo can’t (yet) set a price per word for invoicing articles, and due to legal requirements in the UK, I have to export invoices to Quickbooks and send them from there rather than directly from Paymo.

Great but could improve
It saves me time, especially with invoicing, I use it daily for my work.
It feels a bit unfriendly at time when I get to the website. Many tabs, some missing options unless I upgrade to the most costly version. But overall indispensable. I have recommended it to other companies already. Also, the sync with google calendar doesn't work for me. Maybe I didn't configure it properly but I tried several times. The time don't appear in any other calendar than on the Paymo website.
Pros
It's simply the cheapest option for time tracking, project management + automatic invoicing. Unfortunately some essential features need upgrading each time. It is sad that we don't get more with Small Office than Kaban. Still, it is the cheapest for making clean invoices.
Cons
It lacks some project management options such as adding description text or brief to projects. Ideally it should be visible on one screen -> Project summary then the list of tasks.

Paymo review
Pros
Easy to track time and see calendar view on timesheets to visualise your day. Easy to create a project and great to see different viewing options such as table or gantt depending on how you need to visualise a project.
Cons
Scheduling/resource management could be better. We can't register the time that an employee may work every week as some are part-time. (as far as I know) And we can't build out a person's day in a calendar style similar to timesheets to dictate when they should be working on something.

Excellent for SMB Project Management and Time Tracking
I have used Paymo for years and I've recommended it to many people. I am happy with the product.
Pros
I like that I can manage multiple projects over many clients and keep organised with an easy to view dashboard.
I like that everything is integrated from quoting to task creation and time tracking and then invoicing.
Cons
The invoice creation integrates well with Xero but the invoice numbers don't match which makes it difficult to track. Also, once an invoice has been paid in Xero, it doesn't feed back to Paymo to mark it as paid.
Response from Paymo
Hi Lauren.
Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. The Xero issue sounds like a bug which we will look into fixing, it should mark the invoice as paid automatically. Also although it doesn't have the same invoice name/number, it does have a reference number which is the name/number used in Paymo.

Great platform for freelancers & agencies
Overall very satisified. I wish Paymo would offer more customization and more robust templates, or a clever AI assistant which analyzes my usage and makes suggestions to save me more time.
Pros
I like that Paymo can be used with different setups and requirements. As a freelancer, I can set up my clients, my projects and keep track of all of them. It's a critical app for me.
Cons
The mobile app needs more refinement. As i invite guests over to my project dashboard, I am currently unable to notify them whenever I post a comment. This has been unsresolved for a while so I barely use the app.

Valuable Addition to Business
Great experience, and had issues with invoice templates, but received an update from support and the issue was fixed within 10 minutes.
The time I have saved this year is immeasurable.
Pros
Priced to replace the free versions of the software.
Automation of invoices, compared to using Pages template. If more work is completed for an un-invoiced project, editing the invoice is a simple process.
The dashboard to keep track of all projects makes things much easier, compared to my old Google Sheets attempt at a project tracker.
Archiving completed projects allows quick filtering of only the important things.
Time reports allow a quick insight into what is still to be invoiced.
Cons
I would like a quick notes section added to the dashboard, A daily checklist of the work day, rather than a specific project.

Paymo a great solution for Independent contracting
Great product for what I need a simple tool that tracks my time and makes invoicing painless.
Pros
I like how it fits my workflow, it feels natural. I tried many other programs similar to it and they all felt counterintuitive to me.

Honestly it's been great , I feel I need to take the time to explore it's capabilities more.

Great! It's been SO HELPFUL!
It's been such a huge help for our business.
Pros
I really like the time-tracking methods, tracking project tasks, sub-tasks, etc. Running the reports in different formats is super useful.
Cons
The timing tracking for invoicing is tricky since we have a mix of types of billable expenses on a project. I still export our timesheets to do the calculations and then send an invoice in QuickBooks.
Reasons for Switching to Paymo
It was easy to use. Good discount for small businesses. Liked the different viewing options.Response from Paymo

Thank you for the feedback, we appreciate it. When creating an invoice you can create it based on tracked time, flat rate tasks, retainers, expenses etc. And then send the invoice to Quickbooks online.
If you're not sure on h0w to do that, please contact our team, we would be more than happy to help you.

Good product for time tracking and invoicing
Pros
Time tracking works well and tracked time as well as tasks can be billed. Invoice creation works, but could be improved.
Cons
The PDF rendering of invoices (and estimates) could really be improved.

Very good for our needs
Pros
Paymo stands out as a comprehensive solution for time tracking and project management, particularly catering to freelancers and small to medium-sized businesses seeking a harmonious blend of functionality and user-friendly design. Its intuitive interface ensures that users can effortlessly navigate through various features, including time tracking, project management, and invoicing, making it an all-in-one tool for managing projects from inception to billing. Paymo's strength lies in its detailed reporting capabilities and the integration of a Kanban board, which allows for seamless task management and progress tracking.
Cons
Paymo might fall slightly short in terms of the breadth of integrations and advanced features offered by larger, more established project management tools. Additionally, for very large teams or organizations with highly specialized needs, Paymo's one-size-fits-all approach might not provide the same level of customization or scalability as some of the other leading platforms in the market. Nonetheless, for its target audience, Paymo presents a compelling blend of features, ease of use, and value for money.

Easy to set up and use
Paymo is a nice piece of software where we can do exactly the things we need to do. It has a good uptime.
Pros
It's easy to setup and use. You can use it straight forward and adding clients and projects is easy.
Cons
The fact there is no 2-way authentication is really a thing here, also the lack on smaller accounts is a miss. We only use time tracking, invoicing and basic clients and projects. We don't need canban boards or options like that.
