They care about our agency’s needs and have well-rounded experience in the nonprofit sector that enabled them to give us good advice during implementation - they are such a pleasure to work with. Our NewOrg platform FINALLY put all of our whole client database, reports, and event registration under one pane of glass, and it’s very user-friendly. Even our most technology-adverse volunteers learned it quickly and really like it, and the NewOrg team really listened to us about our priorities for ease of use. Our platform runs smoothly on any device with an internet connection. The tiered user access controls and HIPAA compliant set-up help us to protect confidentiality, and they adjusted everything from our client profile sheets to our event records to our reports custom to our agency’s needs. Their support has always been responsive, honest, and friendly. \[sensitive content hidden\]&#10; our implementation consultant, kept our heads attached when we had to translate our agency’s needs into technical requirements. She really advocated for us and came up with creative workarounds with the programming team when we needed weird customizations, and was very on top of sticking to our budget and implementation schedule while we were busy running our community services. NewOrg was more competitively priced, had more features, and customized and tailored the database to our agency’s quirks compared to other offerings. From the start, they made it clear that they’d work within our budget and grow with us as an agency if we rolled out new programs and needed modules or reports added. If you’re a non-profit shopping for client management platforms, they should be at the top of your list.

We also don’t use them for donor management for the same reason. We also don’t use their online client portal, but that’s because most of our clients sign up for events/visit in person.

From the time we met with their account manager \[sensitive content hidden\] and he asked excellent questions about our agency’s needs, I knew they would be a great candidate for our client database project. He was forthcoming about the strengths and limits of our system, and their prices were better than other systems that didn’t have nearly the same breadth of features. (I would know, I had a spreadsheet of over a dozen platforms I investigated when we were shopping around\!) We came with a laundry list of needs for all the different programs we host at our agency, some of which support thousands of clients, operate in tight timeframes, and require all sorts of very specific data to be pulled in very particular ways as we plan detailed outreach inventory lists. We are not technical people. \[sensitive content hidden\]&#10;, our implementation consultant, was a lifeline to sanity while they customized our system. We asked her for all sorts of crazy things that the system didn’t usually do (I imagine having us in implementation meetings was like trying to herd cats) but she always found us workarounds and options, and helped to translate our insanity to the custom components to be able to get the data we needed the way we needed it. Love them.

> We recently made the switch to NewOrg from our previous data management platform. Immediately upon switching, our team knew we had made the right decision. In the past, our data management system had felt like a one-size-fits-none approach to a subject that varies extraordinarily for each organization. We had had to devise ways to ensure our programs’ data fit into their platform, even when the two weren’t compatible. But NewOrg’s platform is customizable to fit our organization’s programs and needs. &#10;&#10;Our staff was initially hesitant to make the transition to a new software. While we all recognized the need for growth, the learning curve with any new implementation can be intimidating and interrupt workflow. We can happily report that the implementation process and learning curve were both much easier than we anticipated, with the NewOrg team working on an expedited timeline to help us get our most important programs up and running as soon as possible. Whenever we sought help (primarily for user error) NewOrg was responsive and patient as they walked us through the solution. We want to make a special shout-out to \[sensitive content hidden\], who aided us in the implementation, as well as to Jared, who first walked us through NewOrg’s features without pressuring us. Together, they exceeded our expectations and made transitioning feel completely manageable.&#10;&#10;NewOrg also provided custom manuals for our staff to refer back to the instructions independently. Our previous system only offered a one-time group training recording, which was difficult to follow and allowed for certain details to be forgotten as time went on. In contrast, NewOrg’s customizable manuals are detailed and clear, with step-by-step instructions accompanied by screen shots. This manual has empowered our team in our strides to be data-driven—and when we need extra help, their dedicated customer service team has been timely and helpful. This is such a relief after experiences with other data platforms where customer service takes weeks or even months to answer a ticket. Far from overwhelming, NewOrg’s excellent team made the transition process smooth and even enjoyable.
