Network data monitoring tools include network visualizations that allow users to view loss per interface, latency per link and path changes over time at various points along the network path. Visualizations include enterprise, WAN and internet segments. ThousandEyes can monitor TCP, VoIP, FTP and HTTP-based traffic, as well as remotely-hosted applications and remote-worker performance. ThousandEyes offers network outage detection, which identifies routing issues and provides users with possible causes for the outage. Routing issues are grouped by country and autonomous system. ThousandEyes allowed us to reduce the time it was required to fix/solve a major incidents, as it allowed us to point to exactly where the issue is rising and how to solve it. It looks like a creepy spyware symbol. The company forum was filled with concerns that spyware had been installed. It was resolved when the company posted about the ThousandEyes installation. Occasionally I still get slightly alarmed when I see a bright orange eye appear on the bottom right corner of my screen. I really would recommend changing their logo.
