One of the Best Reservation softwares!
This has been easy to use and easy to navigate. The support team is literally a click away and has helped get everything set up and switched over from our old system.
Pros
I love how easy it is to navigate and that there are several different ways to make a reservation, as well as look up a reservation.
Cons
When you sign up for the beta version of the dashboard, it does not allow you to change the location. It stays stuck on somewhere in Florida, which is frustrating when you try to tell the weather to a guest.

Excellent product with even better Customer Support.
As with any product, each new version has its learning curve but in the case of RMS the learning curve is quite gradual as the product works so well, and if you know what its supposed to do, it just makes sense. And, if you need to, their Support Team is simply amazing!
Pros
Ease of use, easy to train new staff on. Setup or rates and channel management are much easier vs other systems used previously.
Cons
Hard to say as I really enjoyed working with the product, all the way back from a server-based version in 2007

False Promises & Scammers
This software is definitely not for holiday homes and even hotels, as it's full of errors and they only have 5-6 people in there company who are not available most of the times, it's not worth wasting money on there training and software they make you pay 3 months advance as they know there product is faulty and they don't want you to runaway before that, good at planning strategy of how to scam people! BEAWARE!

The confidence how they lie about there product, and try to show the value of it however once you pay for the training they will vanish it took me whole 2 months just to set up the software.
Cons
after the software was set there was issue in the calendar on airbnb, my properties were closed for whole month in high season, and there whole company were busy celebrating there vacations, also they did not refund our training fees AED1700 as they claim to give us training and software full of errors.

Still learning setup and operation - this business is new to RMS and challenging to me and RMS. The database and training setup occurred during the busiest time of our Show. Love RMS product and staff
Pros
Functionality and ease of use. The automated help topics with visual guides are eptensive and answer most queries but when they dont the service requests or staff at the other end of the phone are so helpful and knowledgeable that I havent had an issue I couldn't resolve (and I had many questions believe me!).
Cons
Setting new rates confuses me. I don't know whether I need to be in Rate Structure and type, Category, Rate period or Amount (4 seperate areas seems clunky and I don't think I would get as confused if this was an integrated, automatically stepped out process on a simngle page for absolute dummies like me). The address search identified=s international adfresses often before local ones. Not sure if possible but it would be great if the country of operation was prioritised first.

Great property and channel management web-based app
Absolutely stunning app for accommodation providers.
Pros

Great Support
Overall RMS is pretty good because I have learned now on how to use it and find it pretty comprehensive. I then train my staff. I don't call support that often. I find that my staff only want to know what is relevant to their jobs and don't want to take advantage of any of the other functions that could be super helpful. But at least one person in the office knows how to trouble shoot most issues.
Pros
I find that RMS has a lot of capabilities, but we don't necessarily use all of them. The main thing I find challenging is the Tarriff manager. I seem to have a lot of trouble with connecting with different OTAs. It's not perfect, but I don't know if any of them are. The support desk is very good at helping me troubleshoot problems and most of the time, we find a solution. I do think the system is glitchy though as I often have to refresh my page because it seems to have an unstable interface and doesn't show things on the screen correctly. But one thing I do like is that that you can work from anywhere and I love being able to help guests from home on my own computer.
Cons
Not enough training- would like options to go to a local workshop or class. Even if there was one in another town, I would really want the option to go there to learn more. There seem to be new features all the time, but no one to show us how they work.

Use the software the way you want to.
Pros
Customization of this software is the best I've seen in this industry. If we decide we want to track something new. We can simply add the field. Modify rates on a daily basis, automatically. The customization saves time and gives peace of mind.
Cons
Like all online / network software, they can be slow as data is being pulled across the country / world.

Support that really works!!!
For Heartland RV Park & Cabins, RMS Cloud allows us to be on the leading edge for how we interact with our guests. Whether our guests make their reservations in person or through the IBE, it allows us to make the experience simple and understandable. The triggered correspondences allow us to customize our interactions to add helpful information to our guest from first contact, and then asking them after departure to rate Heartland RV Park & Cabins on all the major search engines.
Pros
Ease of use for front desk employees, the backend for management that allows us to customize messaging for guests from reservation through departure.
Cons
Heartland RV Park & Cabins appreciates the ongoing effort by RMS to improve the function of it's software, however, for less tech savvy parks, the changes that come with new releases could create confusion with front line staff if the park fails to continually work with staff on changes.

Feature packed, making our job easier.
We're excited about increasing our capacity to use more of the features available in the software. It's fantastic to have local, fast, easy, friendly support.

The support when onboarding, the resources available, the new options for our business are streamlining and enhancing both staff and guest experience, and helping us to build better long term relationships with our regular guests. It has also given us the tools we need to expand our reception management staff, making handovers, invoicing and communication much easier.
Cons
Trying to do group / connected bookings when you cannot see the main booking calendar page. Not being able to easily add an availability calendar via a plugin directly onto to our wordpress website - that would be a great asset.

Faulty product with crappy support
I have started the selection process for another product because I want proper support.
Pros
It works, as far as direct bookings and Booking.com bookings are concerned.
It synchronises well with Booking.com. we have had no over bookings.
Cons
RMS is not capable to connect my hotel to Expedia. REALLY, I am not kidding. RMS passes the wrong currency. We are located in Cape Verde and they pass our prices to Expedia in Australian dollars.
RMS have been working on this for over a month now. I have to beg for updates on this problem and all they have told me is that it is a very complicated problem (where it really is only a matter of passing the right currency for the selected country).
Less important but still annoying problems are: Old (fashioned) user interface: Not all the screens work on a Mac, some screens only work in full screen mode. The application is not scalable/responsive.

27/5/19 After printing a few boomgate codes, all over a sudden a message appeared "Client not connected" took a screen shot, and sent a service request to RFMS, she tried to help, but couldn't fix it, thought it was a problem on our site, re-checked everything on our site as non RMS documents printed fine on that printer, re-emailed her about the problem, CSR made contact with my via phone and un-installed the smart printer, rename the printer profile, nothing was working, informed her how we have 2 printers networked, but she couldn't grasp our set-up, informed her that CSR would know, and after several hours today and dealing with customers in between, I Informed CSR that we aren't getting anywhere and I will contact other CSR, so glad I did, He has been very helpfull and understanding and knows a lot more about the way we have the 2 printers connected/networked, he is a legend and is worth MORE money, he never loses his attitude like she did, RFMS should employ more people like hi,, cheers - Manager

Pros
I like the new features for the Registration Card & the COVID-19 Tracing.
It's also made it easier uploading guest details, photo id etc. Less paper trail.
Cons
When loading rates, it can get frustrating when for example, we have 3 different season and rates within RMS. getting this to trigger or channel those rate on exact dates for online Agents, I guess it all about trouble shooting between the 2 servers.
Plus it was hard when call Support and you would get 2 different answers from 2 different staff never the same operator.

RMS 9+ Reservations
My overall experience has been very positive. The online booking system is a time saver and I don't have to deal with a third party booking agent.
Pros
The reservation system is similar to the program I was using previously, creating reservations were pretty straight forward. The person who helped me to install the program and have it customized to my business was very patient and helpful. Tech support has been really good about getting back to me in a reasonable time especially if it an emergency.
Cons
I have had this program for 5 years and programming the rates was time consuming at first. Since the RMS has changed that process and is much easier. The one downside is when RMS does an update it happens during the day and there is a minute or two when the program is not functional. It would be nice to have these done in the early morning hours where is doesn't affect making reservations.

The worst system and experience. Never ever RMS
I have been introduce with RMS connection on December 2022 name of sales [sensitive content hidden]. After introducing of the demo was promised -system have a great use on the computer and mobile version is responding perfectly(which was the most important to me) - set up takes few days and will be all,set up to the desired result - training team is professional - support is professional and responding 24 hours -system is fast -integration of the system and Quickbooks is free EctWhile I sign the contract and paid for the training fee 1700 dirham I quick start completing all papers I was asked for. However once training started, after 2 session the team stopped as many options was not set properly. I have kept waiting for months and no one getting back to me. I have re call and recall and finally I had response that the training will restart on June 2 , 2023 (6 month after the sign of the contract) Thought ok and had fixed a meeting with new training team this time name [sensitive content hidden]. From the first day of training the things has stopped working again. Many errors coming, many things are not set, cleaning fees, financial parts. Anyway keep going till [sensitive content hidden] fixed some and again very pation 3 to 4 days to be done. Fail to connect any of OTA. They will never respond again

Once you understand the program, easy to use
The most frustrating thing about RMS is the inability to speak to an individual when you encounter a problem. You write a message and often never hear anything back, despite multiple attempts.
Pros
The interface with Owner Accounting is extremely useful for us. We can use the pre-set reports to account for the rentals on a monthly basis.
Cons
There are some complicated intricacies in setting up the software. If you do not categorize things properly then the reports issued are not correct.

We have actually moved to 2 other well known systems and moved back because we have found none of them stand up to RMS.

I love all of the features, in addition to just reservations, we use it all. Maintenance management, texting, interactive documents, online booking, meter reading and more.

Online booking is still a bit clunky. The interactive map is difficult to find from a mobile device. I wish customers could choose to pay online with the vault.

My Online Travel Help
With RMS Cloud, I found a travel assistant I can rely on and trust with my bookings. I never have to worry if the hotels are legit or if my payments go through. I am confident that it's all taken cared of.

Governors RV Park & Campground
RMS has been a system I have been able to navigate with little help. When there are problems majority of the time support has been helpful and have been able to resolve the issue.
Pros
In RMS you are able to select many different detailed fields that need to be filled out for reservations which is very helpful with guest check in and guest check out. RMS to me seems very self explanatory. It is not very difficult to understand the system.
Cons
The refund process. I feel like it should be a simple setting that can be done by a manger, etc. and not have to go through so many obstacle courses.

Gets the job done
Overall fairly easy to get your head around for the basics. Good over view of availability.
Pros
Almost all the rooms show on one screen and for multiple weeks. It also keeps a record of old bookings that you can access when needed.
Cons
For a large group booking you cant put packages on multiple rooms at the one time. You have to enter them all individually.
Often the totals when creating one tariff for the group adds up to the right amount in the totals but in the accom when you go to print a invoice the total is different. If you go out of the booking and refresh the whole booking system it often corrects it.

RMS Hospitality Cloud is a great tool once you get it set-up to fit your needs
Ultimately RMS is helping our business in so many ways. This system will allow our employees to spend more time catering to our guests and visitors and less time with administrative tasks like producing reports, tracking transactions, and counting open reservation areas.
Pros
We like this software the most because of how scale-able it is! We are a pretty small business that use to deal with all reservations by pen and paper. Our business is growing and with that it became difficult to continue on with our "old" systems. RMS offered the perfect solution to start out with all the basics that a cloud based system could offer, and then as we got comfortable we are able to scale up to other features.
The customer service is also a great feature! Everyone we have contacted has been very timely, polite, and seem to actually want to talk to you! Support is extremely helpful, plus the youtube channel is a great way to try and find a solution to your problems on your own.
Cons
Fortunately for our business, we anticipated a lengthy set-up time so we allowed a full year of having the software and fine tuning our data to make the transition as smooth as possible. With the initial purchase of the software we received one-on-one training (our rep was AMAZING!) and at the end of training we felt we had a pretty good grasp of the software. Once we started actually using it and testing out different situations that can arise in our reservations and visitors, we soon realized that RMS is packed full of great features but it can be difficult to sort through everything there to find what you need.
We have had the software to just over a year and we are trying to finalize the last few details in how to process our reservations on a daily routine. Granted we have not had a team working on the system all day every day (we only have around 14 employees so the busy season we were only doing data entry) but it has been quite a road to "go live" with RMS.

selection of sites for multiple online bookings are no longer available. If you have a group reservation, the requirements on each folio do not automatically transfer to the group folio - they have to each be transferred manually.
