Great customer service after poor service from competitor!

Pros

Sales and support team were quick and efficient, especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT], who was really good, not pushy and understood that as a small business, my operations came before making this purchase, his knowledge was second to none and I felt that he really wanted to tailor the experience to my needs.

Cons

There's a lot to setup, but worth it!!!!

RepairDesk - an option you should absolutely consider

RepairDesk offers a solid solution to repair shops and other shops of a similar nature. I have an asian mini mart that is surviving in the same space and our checkouts occur in RepairDesk. Their Merchant Services are useful and reasonably priced. Their customer service is helpful and quick. You honestly can't go wrong with this software.

Pros

RepairDesk has been nothing but a godsend for my business. I have 10 years of experience with a "competitor" POS and can say that side-by-side RepairDesk the two are quite honestly incomparable. Their customer service is existent, and not just existent, they truly respond and resolve the issues and questions I've had. They are actively implementing new features and smoothing out the old and new of what is already a robust package. RepairDesk seems to place a lot of attention toward the customer's experience in my store. Automated texts, requests for review and feedback, customer facing displays, appointments and status update widgets for my website, etc: these are a few examples of RepairDesk's concern for my customers.

Cons

Perhaps some of the bugs seem odd at times, but once again, compared to the POS I'm used to, I don't have much of anything negative to say about RepairDesk. Software has issues, and they are on the solutions very quickly.

FiXCO Review

I like it, but I don't love it. I would like to love it. As they say, love it or maybe leave it.

Pros

The customer service I have received from [sensitive content hidden]
over the last couple years has been impeccable. I have a long history in other business' also dealing with vendors and customer service. [sensitive content hidden]'s customer service skills are a rare gem. RepairDesk is extremely lucky to have her.

Cons

There's too much confusion with RepairDesk. There are so many things going on with RepairDesk it can be overwhelming. I would like to see RepairDesk simplifed and streamlined. I don't know what that looks like though. The MobileSentrix integration changes over the last year or so have been very frustrating. Photos no longer load etc. I understand the integration changed, but I miss the old way.

RepairDesk - Great Software for Organizing and Tracking Your Repairs

Fantastic! I have worked with [sensitive content hidden] and all have been extremely professional and great to work with. I have had several requests that they have accommodated, such as adding the custom fields that they helped me to create to my ticket labels, adding the ability to enter a long description in my quotations, and adding net 75 payment terms to my invoices. They have taken all of my requests into consideration and have gone above and beyond to meet them. They are also accommodating with my schedule and coordinating meeting times that work well. They are quick to respond to email communication too. An all around great team to work with!

Pros

I was in search of software that would help to keep our repairs organized from the time that they arrived to our facility until the time that we shipped them out. RepairDesk has provided this through the many useful features that the program offers. I like being able to create unique ticket numbers to identify and track my repairs in a way that makes sense and flows with our business. The ticket labels are easy to print and contain all of the pertinent information needed to identify the repair at a quick glance. I like the fact that I can add my own custom fields that apply to our repairs and that these custom fields are searchable within RepairDesk for quick identification of the repair. I like being able to add the parts that we use in the repair process to an inventory database so that we can easily track how many units we have on hand and know when we need to order more. Creating POs for the purchase of these parts is also a useful feature. I like being able to upload pre and post repair photos. The photos are easy to upload and are of very high quality and make for great documentation.

Cons

I don't have anything that I'd like to highlight here. All of my concerns have been or are being addressed. I understand that each business is unique and has it own requests. RepairDesk has a great foundation and the team has been outstanding at accommodating my requests for features that are not yet present that would work well in our business.

The site was not user friendly and there was no customer support. I signed up for the free trial, hit a few roadblocks and tried to call to ask questions. After several phone calls with no answer, it gave me a quick snapshot of what the experience was going to be like. Luckily, I found RepairDesk next and it has been a completely different experience. The customer support is phenomenal and any question that I have has been answered.

Ideal POS for Repair Shops

great nothing i can add to this.

Pros

I like the ease of use and the integrations between my website and this POS. Customers are always commenting that they enjoy the experience of booking their devices in using this much valued RD integration. I like also that RD software engineers are always updating and this is never the finished article and RD is always evolving. Also I love the customer facing display and customers agree to our t+c before the repair commences and see the price of it. It gives me a professional approach and something I can go back to if i need to and show the customer that I made you aware of.......... and you agreed to this with a signature to back this up. The reporting aspect and KPIs is another key part of the RD system. All round its justa great system to use. Backed up by a great team on the help desk especially [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] who helps me tremendously if I need help with something

Cons

yes there are issues and sometimes things go wrong and there are bugs within it that can occur but not anything that I would gripe over. I moved from Repairshopr 3 years ago and when I compare the 2 ? RD are streets ahead of them

Reasons for Choosing RepairDesk

I needed a better POS, I wanted to have a flagship website booking intergration that stood out and give me functionality to offer something that noone else did. RD give me that. POS I LOVE IT in that its an easy walk through process and captures step by step everything you need to have when your taking devices from customers. Traceability of the customer and ability to take contact details to capturing parts used during the repair and setting stock levels then reordering reports when our inventory falls below its min stock level.

RepairQ

Reasons for Choosing RepairDesk

RQ by iQmetrix is very much a integrated mobile POS, and everything else is secondary for them. So if you didn't integrate with Rogers or Telus it was essentially just a really slow, dumb POS/Inventory Management system that could barely handle repair tickets properly. It was also extremely expensive to add any features that seem to be included with most other companies.

RepairQ was a nightmare to setup. We plenty of issues with site integration, their store search option couldn't find our store despite typing in exact address, managing regular sales was basically generation mini service tickets each time. Very clunky, not user friendly.

Pros

Cons

Must have software for Repair stores

It is definitely one of the better POS systems I have used. Information is readily accessible and easy to understand. With the help of Usama, Fahad and the team, they have made the entire process seem less and have ironed out any initial problems we had. They have also picked up on faults my employees have made which could have been disastrous for my stock keeping.

Pros

The overall effectiveness of the program. With regards to device repairs and sales. It covers all the bases and makes sure there are no loopholes for employees to take chances with regards to theft. As well as gives me a detailed breakdown of which areas of the business is doing well and which need my attention.

Cons

Training new employees, it’s a bit daunting for them at first. Due to the overwhelming information that is available. But after a week. It definitely becomes second nature

More than just a POS Solution!

10/10 Stars. These guys are always listening to user feedback and continue to WOW us daily!

Pros

RD was very easy to implement. The onboarding process was excellent with personalized assistance along the way. While it was very intuitive, when we imported data from our previous system the RD Support jumped in and helped us correct immediately. More than just point of sale. RD offers incredible communication tools, inventory management, eCommerce integrations, payment processing... They're truly the one-stop-shop for our cell phone/tablet repair, sales & accessories store software needs.

Cons

Overall everything was great. Main cons/concerns - as with any software - bugs creep up from time to time. Not everything flows with the Shopify integration, but the team is on it. For me the biggest difficulty is the Sales Tax reporting isn't as intuitive as I'd like (Mainly just lacks showing labor charges in an easy to see format)

A very buggy and unreliable option for repair shop software

My experience was not a good one, I had to run two different POS systems so when we where unable to use repairdesk due to bugs we had another solution ready to go. The lack of acknowledgement of bugs and issues and the lack of tech support being available within our trading hours meant we had to cancel repairdesk.

Pros

The software has some good options as far as plug ins go, customer facing display etc.

Cons

I had a lot of trouble using RepairDesk, we found alot of bugs that are inexcusable in a top dollar POS system. Simple things like changing a price, logging in, adding new devices all have a lot of bugs that require refreshing the page and evening re-logging in. These issues are repetitive and where reported multiple times to the team at Repairdesk. Tech support was not helpful as in Australia we close our stores an hour after they open for tech support, before that we are on our own. After speaking regularly with the staff including [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] I found these issues will not be fixed anytime soon as they tend to have the approach that "You are the only one experiencing these issues". After discussing with other repair store owners and working out they are experiencing the same issues as our store was, I realized until the team at Repairdesk take responsibility for these bugs and actively resolve them rather than denying they exist repairdesk will not be a viable system for our business to invest in. Being frank when you send them video evidence of the bugs its a pretty silly business decision to deny the issues exist.

Response from RepairDesk

Hello David,
Thank you for your review. We're very sorry that we were unable to make RepairDesk work for your business and saddens us to see you unsatisfied. We are always working diligently to address all bugs that are notified to us, and we appreciate your feedback. Pros

All the features it currently has and the more features it will have in the future, the time saving the software provides repairs shops making tasks that took 1 to 2 hours to complete to be done in minutes, the more time you save and the more automated features the more your team can concentrate on providing better customer service

Cons

There's no cons to speak about, softwares will always be softwares and have their little things here and there, but nothing that cant be fixed or improved

Response from RepairDesk

Amazing Software! Great Features! Help our business to move to the next level!!!

I would HIGHLY recommend this for really anyone in the computer and cellphone repair field. If you are pretty much ready to go out of the box. Have to give it a try!

Pros

I tested dozens of software in trying to manage remote clients, on-sites, repair bench items, inventory, refurbished devices and general CRM duties for our IT and cellphone repair company.

They were all terrible in their own particular ways. From one of the most expensive POS in the United States to most of on-line and off-line CRM tools and software, we kept running into roadblocks and compromises. Not to mention terrible UI's, high costs, and so on and so forth.

RepairDesk is a breath of fresh air. The UI makes sense, the price is reasonable, it's super fast, and it covers everything we need. I was hesitant to switch to using it for Invoicing Vs Denali at first, but was better than we expect; we ended up using RepairDesk for all invoicing and payments, and everything now done through their platform, since our lives are now inside RepairDesk and we couldn't be happier.

The other very pleasant thing is the aggressive update schedule the team has - new and improved features (that competitors can't cover)are rolled out constantly, without being disruptive to the existing workflow.

This software has transformed our business. RepairDesk fits the bill totally, for tracking, estimates and complete control. With RepairDesk, it has really been able to automate this process of our business and produce professional results.

Thank you RepairDesk Team :-)

Cons

If there is any! 24 Hours support can FIXED it immediately.

Overall, I had a great experience with onboarding—the process was smooth, thorough, and set us up for success right from the start. The support team has been outstanding as well; they’re always available, responsive, and ready to help whenever we have questions or need assistance. This level of customer care has made a real difference, and it’s clear that the RepairDesk team is dedicated to helping their clients succeed. Highly recommend for any repair business looking for a reliable and supportive partner!

Pros

RepairDesk truly stands out as a complete solution for our business! It covers all our needs for daily operations and management, seamlessly supporting both our day-to-day tasks and long-term growth. The platform's comprehensive features make everything—from inventory management to customer tracking—remarkably smooth, saving us valuable time and effort. With RepairDesk, we feel empowered to focus more on growing our business while knowing our operations are in good hands. Highly recommended for anyone looking to streamline their repair business!

Cons

While RepairDesk has been fantastic overall, one area for potential improvement is the check-in and ticket creation process. During particularly busy hours, this can sometimes create a slight bottleneck for walk-in or drop-in customers. That said, with good customer management skills, it’s usually manageable, and certainly not a dealbreaker. The platform’s many benefits far outweigh this minor inconvenience, and we’re confident that RepairDesk will continue to improve with future updates. Overall, we're very happy with it!

Integrated parts ordering and supplier management, streamlining procurement directly through the platform. Excellent Repair Solution with Exceptional Customer Support

We needed a solution that would support our mail-in repair service model and deliver self-service features to ecommerce customers. The RepairDesk solution enabled us to tailor a seamless customer experience from Request to Ticket through Invoice and Payment and support hundreds of repairs per week.

The capabilities of the platform are extensive and there are many available integrations and connectors. RepairDesk provides both Store and Business KPI's which allows us to monitor performance and profitability dashboards on our repairs. It is so helpful to have not only a great technology solution but also a solution designed to support the operation of a repair business.

RepairDesk is always eager to listen and adapt to improve their platform for all their customers.

Pros

Everything needed to run a repair center is available.

* Integrations available with popular payment and Sales Tax systems like Stripe and Avalara
* Integration with ShipStation for Shipping
* Integrations for Email and SMS communications
* Highly configurable for Ticket Statuses for business controls and workflow
* Automation for personalized notifications to customers via Email or SMS
* Online Lead intake from customers as well as POS for walk-in business
* Reporting and Dashboards provided with support for data exporting

The Ferrari of the repair shop software.

As great as RepairDesk already is, they are always innovating. Like true craftsmen, they are refining the product constantly. Overall we're extremely happy we converted and we would highly recommend it for other shops that are looking for powerful software that will help them grow their business for years to come, at the forefront of the repair industry.

RepairDesk has been dedicated to world class top-tier support. They have worked extremely closely with us since the inception. Even though they are miles away they are just one message away. It is truly astonishing, the level of service they provide.

Pros

Powerful and feature-rich software. It was like going from driving a Ford to a Ferrari when we converted to RepairDesk from Repair Q!

We enjoy the sms customer communication options and all of the other features which are highly customizable. Creating inventory items is a breeze. Saves us alot of time. Love the integrations with parts suppliers. The RepairDesk Payments has been very stable and reliable, and the rates are great. We generally average 1.5% to 1.9% on credit card processing. Their Payments guy is awesome; he helped us to configure the terminal for best results (lowest fees!) Love the payroll management to track employee time as well as commissions. That saves me alot of time.

Cons

There is learning curve. I like the check and balances of the other system that combined each transaction as one with a ticket and a payment. RepairDesk separates repair tickets and invoices for payments. Our biggest frustration was with printing but they eventually sorted that out. Wish the POS screen loaded faster.

Hands down, best Phone Repair Store software on earth.

Have been using Repair Desk for years now. Always new features coming out, improving older features. They are always relevant. Any issues are quickly investigated and usually resolved just as fast. Easy to get a hold of support or management, if needed.

Pros

One software for all things related to a Phone Repair store. Tickets, repairs, inventory, POS, customer communication, review requests...all in one easy to use application.

Cons

For a while, they were launching new features and updates that were not functioning well. They have since slowed down and focus more on improving existing features and only launch newer ones after being tested.

Best POS system for Phone Repair Business

Pros

I've been using RepairDesk for over 5 years with 5 locations/stores, and I highly recommend it to any phone repair shop owner. RepairDesk is the best solution available—there’s really no comparable alternative.

The customer service is excellent, too; it's rare to find support at this level. For instance, I accidentally imported the wrong Excel file and needed to restore the system to a previous state. Despite it being a Sunday night, Usman and the team resolved the issue overnight, which was a huge relief.
I also use the PhonePro system in 4 stores, and after 5 months, I can say it’s been worth the investment. Although there are some issues, it generally provides great value. I’m able to centralize phone calls, SMS, customer history, quick quotes, and more. Plus, it helps me gather more reviews, which has been a great benefit

Cons

While the pricing may seem high, it's understandable as it supports the ongoing improvements and new features that make the platform even better.

My overall experience with repair desk.

The overall experience with RepairDesk has been exceptional. From the initial software implementation, we were supported by a dedicated Success Manager who ensured a smooth transition from RepairQ to RepairDesk. We also received data migration assistance and went live within just a few days. Post-launch, our Account Manager regularly checks in every 45 days to ensure everything is running smoothly. We are highly impressed with the robust features and appreciate the continuous updates that help repair store owners streamline operations and grow their businesses.

Pros

RepairDesk offers an intuitive interface and a comprehensive set of features, such as repair ticketing, invoicing, reporting, and CRM, to meet diverse business needs. It has multiple In-House Integrations along with other amazing integrations like QuickBooks, Xero, Square, and Zapier, that enables businesses to customize workflows seamlessly. Additionally, the platform has a great Customer Support/Success Teams that are highly responsive and dedicated towards assisting users with setup and daily operations.

Cons

There’s not much to dislike, but if I had to mention something, it would be that each item I click opens a new window, which can sometimes be annoying.

Audio Electronics Repair Shop from All Paper to All Digital!

We bought a business that had been in operation for 40 years that had an all paper system. Repairdesk is helping us move away from that to a completely paperless system and has greatly helped us improve communication with our customers. It has also given us new ways of taking payments that have shortened the time it takes to collect from customers. It's been a learning curve for us, as we were used to and comfortable with an arcane method. We are learning things very quickly and getting comfortable with the new workflow faster than we thought and have been very satisfied with how much easier the day to day operations have become.

Pros

The workflow and user interface is very intuitive and user friendly. There's a wide range of modules that allow to track almost all aspects of our shop in one centralized location.

Cons

Some features can be buggy, but the team at Repairdesk is very open to suggestion and constantly working on updates to improve workflow and make things easier.

RepairDesk for Franchitti's Fix

If there are any kinks or I can't quite figure things out the RepairDesk team is always there to call or email me, even if I cant answer right away. They are accommodating and seem very eager always to upgrade or improve the RepairDesk platform which I particularly like. I don't want to be using something that's outdated or not integrated with current technologies.

Pros

Very organized and integrated with other systems like PO directly with popular distributor's inventories, integrated email inbox and tracking, customers can see their tickets and be notified of status changes, pay online via a widget on your website, etc. There are truly so many awesome options with this platform that I can't cover in a review. I particularly like integrations with Shopify, or other popular web services to display current inventory levels linked from the inventory management tab in the Repair Desk platform. I don;t have to juggle multiple systems.

RepairDesk always fantastically displays KPI's so you can always see how your location(s) are performing.

My Review

It's been a rising experience. Coming from Square, we were used to the simplicity of it, but after using RepairDesk for a bit more than a month, it has become better each day.

Pros

RepairDesk is useful for stores that want to keep track of the smallest item(s) and/or detail(s). If there's any issues, customer service is ready to answer any questions either through a live representative or live chat.

Cons

It takes time to get a handle of it. Although there's support each step, one learns to use it through practice. Some fuctions are a bit more complicated than it has to, such as checking out a single item or adding a service on the spot, but after one learns how to add them, it becomes a bit easier. I don't like that there are functions that won't work with an extra fee, such as RD phone number.
