> SecureCloud is a German platform for secure file storage, sharing and collaboration, built for organisations that have to answer to an auditor rather than simply feel safe.

Who it is for
Typical users are IT leads, data protection officers and managing directors in regulated sectors: law firms and tax practices, hospitals and medical practices, banks, insurers, public administration and manufacturing. They usually arrive with the same problem. Their current storage works well enough day to day, but it cannot answer one question in an audit: can you rule out that a third party has access to this data?

How it answers that
All data is stored AES-256 encrypted in German data centres. SecureCloud has no US parent company and is therefore not subject to the US CLOUD Act, a question of jurisdiction that contractual assurances do not resolve.

For particularly sensitive libraries you can switch on an additional encryption layer whose key is generated only on your device. In that mode nobody else can read the content, not even us. It is deliberately optional, because that level of confidentiality removes external share links and password recovery, so it belongs on the data that needs it rather than on everything.

Working with it
Files and folders are shared encrypted, and any link can carry a password and an expiry date. Office and PDF documents can be edited simultaneously in the browser. Share links appear in your own corporate design and under your own domain, so external recipients see your brand. Sync clients cover Windows, macOS and Linux, with apps for iOS and Android, and integrations for Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.

Storage is pooled across users and can be extended independently of user count. Earlier versions of files remain recoverable for 90 days on Business and 365 days on Advanced and Enterprise; deleted libraries stay recoverable for 30 days.

For larger organisations
Advanced and Enterprise run as dedicated, isolated instances rather than shared tenancy. Enterprise adds multi-factor authentication, LDAP, Active Directory and SSO, virus scanning on upload, backup to a second location, full text search and an individual SLA. Single sign-on and multi-factor authentication can also be licensed for Business and Advanced. Qualified electronic signature is available as a paid add-on. An open API and a free MCP server are included for integration and AI access.

Support
Support is provided in German and English, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30 German time, by phone, email and through a self-service support portal with a searchable knowledge base. Onboarding is available in person or as a live online session, alongside documentation. Business customers onboard themselves without a setup fee; Advanced and Enterprise migrations are guided by our team.
