Venmo is a stress-free choice for sending and receiving payments.
My overall experience with Venmo has been great. It’s a reliable and convenient platform for sending and receiving money. It’s perfect for splitting bills, paying friends, or making quick transactions. I also like that it’s easy to use and you can decided if you want your transactions to be public or private. I've also never had a problem with my account being compromised like I've encountered on other payment apps.
Pros
What I like most about Venmo is its convenience. It makes sending and receiving money with friends or businesses effortless, and the app is very user-friendly and fast!
Cons
What I like least about Venmo is the fees for instant transfers because they can add up quickly. If I opt for standard bank transfers, there can be delays in bank transfers.

Easiest, fastest way to pay for anything, to anyone!!
I recommend Venmo to all of my friends and family. In fact, many of them have downloaded the Venmo app specifically because I asked them to in order to exchange money between us. I couldn't be more happy with Venmo and the fact that it does not charge as long as you're using your debit card or you have the money in your Venmo account. You can pay with Venmo anywhere that takes Visa which is very convenient. Plus, my favorite thing… I got to choose the color of my card which of course I chose pink and I love it!!
Pros
Venmo is my go to app to send or receive money for literally anything! I can send money to my kids or receive money for local sales from Facebook marketplace. When I'm splitting the tab with a friend.. it's simple & convenient. I love the fact the Venmo is literally INSTANT. There no wait time for the transfer so there's no waiting around for the money to hit your bank. Venmo doesn't charge anything for transferring between accounts which is awesome. And my Venmo debit card works anywhere that takes visa which is also convenient. Also you can send a penny & all the way up to thousands of dollars in one transaction at no charge. Zm
Cons
You are limited to the number of cards you can add to your Venmo account during a 6 month period which for me was sort of inconvenient because I receive gift cards through my work for incentives & awards. However I can just add these to my Apple Pay & use them that way or virtually so it's truly not that big of a deal.

A life saver when in a bind
I use venmo almost every single day for payments or recieving money from family, friends or whatever and i really love it. I have encouraged just about every i know to download the app. It really helped me alot. For example i got a call in the middle of the night to go pick someone up whom had a few to many at dinner and when i was on way back my gas light came on. I had left in such a hurry that i didnt have my wallet so i was able to request some cash from a friend and pay with my wallet. We made it home after a quit stop at gad station thanks to venmo.
Pros
I love the simplicity of Venmo. Being able to pay someone, anyone from friends to the guy on Craigslist i bought something from after seeing an ad. Its instantly deducted from whatever account you choose thats linked and or your venmo account. I love the options to purchase crypto and check in it whenever also having alerts set up is wonderful.
Cons
The only real gripe i would have about venmo is you are only allowed to ad a couple of cards in a 6 mo period and i get alot of virtual visas as spiffs from work and would of loved to be able to ad them to venmo to use as a payment method. So my tip to new users would be only ad permanently used bank cards to your venmo account because even after you may have added and used the balance on a gift card and then deleted card knowing its no good anymore you still cannot ad a card until that 6mo time passes.

A convenient way to take and send payments to friends or for business!
I think they are super easy to use. Set up is easy. Entering payment methods is also quite easy. I haven't had an issue with any part of using venmo, it's come in handy many times.
Pros
It is easy to set up and manage payment options. It's also easy to switch between business and personal profiles. Searching for contacts to pay or send money to is also quite easy.
Cons
The only thing I would change is no fee for instant transfers, however I can totally understand why they have a fee. I use a bank account where there is no fee to transfer and it usually deposits within 24 hours so it's not a long process. I find it kind of strange that I can see my friends payments though. Not a problem, just kind of strange.

Easy, Reliable, Safe
I have had an entirely positive experience with Venmo and have no major complaints outside of the public posting of transfers.
Pros
Venmo is quite easy to use. I really like the two step verification using the phone number to ensure you don't send money to the wrong person.
Cons
I don't like the public sharing of money transfers. I know that this is an option to have turned off, but it's not clear what does and doesn't show depending on who you send money to. It just seems invasive and unnecessary.

Venmo, it's a great app!
Overall, Venmo is a great app, especially for an app that is free. I have had little to no issues while using Venmo for the many years that I have and I only have great words to say about it!
Pros
I like that Venmo makes it super easy to collect payments from customers, and refund them at the same time. I've never used a platform that also makes it easier to track payments.
Cons
The user design is not super intuitive, which can cause issues at times, but otherwise I have had no issues!

Horrid! I have never been so angry or disappointed with a company
Pros
It's free. That's about where they stop. I have never been asked to provide statements from my linked accounts before and been told my money will be frozen until I did so!
Cons

Just one thing That I need....
It is very convenient and can be used on any website. The platform is simple and provides easy access for clients and friends. Additionally, there are no fees for transfers that take 1-3 days. However, my experience is not 100% satisfactory due to the issue with the Setmore website settings. If there were a way to resolve this, my satisfaction would be complete.
Pros
It is very convenient and can be used on any website. The platform is simple and provides easy access for clients and friends. Additionally, there are no fees for transfers that take 1-3 days.
Cons
One drawback I've encountered is that while I use Venmo on various websites for class bookings and payments, Venmo itself cannot process payments directly. I have to connect it to PayPal, which complicates the setup. Additionally, I would prefer to display only Venmo as a payment option on the Setmore website, but this isn't allowed due to Venmo being linked to PayPal.

Venmo has been an amazing piece of software to use in my personal opinion. It is fast and reliable. Many people have it so it is easy for people to pay with Venmo if you don't take card.
Pros
Venmo is a good service when it comes to transferring money. I find it really easy to just tell someone that you take Venmo and they sacn you QR code and just pay you. Really easy, seamless, and quick.
Cons
If you switch your QR code to a business code, they will charge you a percentage everytime someone makes a purchase using your code.

Easy and More Secure Payment App but Check Privacy Settings
Pros
I feel much more comfortable using Venmo than other payment apps like CashApp. I feel my financial information is secure (however, read my Cons list as well). Also, making a payment is very easy. Overall, the app is very user-friendly and easy to use.
Cons
Personally, I wish there wasn't a fee to use a credit card for payments. Also, I think there is a lack of data security in that folks probably don't realize that their payments are being broadcast in a social media-like feed that all can see when they log onto the app. I can understand the fun in seeing what people are purchasing, but for others, they may be stunned to realize that they needed to change their Default Privacy to Private or else the entire internet can see what they are spending their money on. Also, there are people in my Venmo "social" feed I don't even know and am not even friends with.

An Easy Payment System for the Entrepreneur
Overall, the experience has been good. When faced with issues, customer service is kind, but you have to be patient. The tickets go into a queue and you have to wait patiently for an email answer, which can go to your junk mail.
Pros
Venmo is fast and easy to set up. Within a few minutes you can start taking payment for services and products sold. You can get paid in several different ways and even if the person doesn't have their card available.
Cons
If you close down an account and open a new one, it is difficult to link accounts and get the debit card to work. You cannot have multiple business accounts attached to your personal account. If you change the name of the business it can be difficult to change over.

Yo Ho Venmo
The leader in digital, mobile and, in my opinion, small business cash handling. I’ve never had an issue with my account and when prompted to verify my information for securities sake I’ve been nothing but reassured my finances are in good hands.
Pros
Incredibly easy to learn and use with the most user friendly interface I’ve encountered to date. Venmo’s digital security and handling of my private information has always been secure and any changes to my account made by myself or otherwise are reported to my cell phone and email immediately.
Cons
Some forms of online debit cards are categorized as ‘pre-paid’ when they are in fact just debit cards issued from a strictly digital/online institution. These specific types of cards are therefore deemed unable to be used via connecting to your account.

A Reliable Way of Digital Pay
Overall the experience is generally positive, and I appreciate Venmo for it's convenience and reliability.
Pros
I liked the ease of use, convenient setup, and its use as an alternative to a bank.
Cons
That the option for speedier transactions costs some extra money. In some cases, sometimes sending money is time-sensitive and Venmo, at best, can only fulfill a transaction in 2-3 business days under normal circumstances.

Venmo transforms the sales process
I have had only good experiences thus far. I do e-commerce as a side hustle and prefer Venmo to other forms of payment because it's simple to use, it's been a trustworthy program, and I get instant notifications when I am paid.
Pros
I love having Venmo as an option as opposed to exchanging cash and checks. With Venmo, money is accepted and then with a few clicks, you can have it transferring to your bank account. The turnaround time for deposit is quick and you do have the option to expedite it. It saves me trips to the bank and saves me having to exchange money in hand.
Cons
I have heard that there are some individuals attempting to scam others on the platform which makes me a little less confident in its overall operation. Additionally, if you accidentally send to the wrong individual, there's no recourse that I'm aware of except their mercy in refunding your money. So the responsibility is on you to verify that you are sending to the correct individual.

Pros
Making payments to just about anyone is easy to set up and manage. The new groups feature is nice (kind of like splitwise) where you can add all of the charges from each person in the group and it'll calculate the correct amount from each person in just 1 charge.
Cons
I think it'd be nice to have the option to show the charges breakdown for the final group charge just for peace of mind. Right now you just have to assume that venmo calculated it correctly. Also the ads get annoying - I don't want a venmo credit card.

Easy, Convinient Payments
I use venmo to easily pay others when card or cash is not available/accepted. I am able to leave a note, track previous payments, and make a payment private/public. I feel that Venmo is safe, convenient, and has developed a new way for people to pay.
Pros
I like the feed where I can see others who have paid me/others close to me. I like the option to have an immediate payout. I like the safety feature to confirm the final digits of a phone number. I like the ability to have a profile picture for others and myself to confirm who we are paying.
Cons

The easiest point of sale app on the market
Overall highly positive. Would recommend to anyone in need of a safe and convenient cash transfer and Point of Sale app.
Pros
Implementation was incredibly easy and most of my staff (and clients) are already familiar with the application. The credibility of any financial app is critical, so the security and financial insurance Venmo provides is what made the deal for my team.
Cons
There is no easy-to-use air-touch feature where two adjacent phones can automatically link for payment. However, this would just be a nice ancillary benefit and is not critical.

Friends and Family Payment
My overall experience with Venmo has been decent. It is good at some things and bad at others. Venmo does not feel as secure as other payment sites. Their buyer protection is difficult to use. Customer service is hard to get ahold of if you ever have any trouble. They like to send you a copy-and-paste reply each time you contact them.
Pros
Venmo is another decent payment app. It is more focused on sending payments between friends and family. You can set up direct deposit so if you don't trust banks, you can use Venmo to get paid for your job. I like that you can also apply for a Venmo debit card so you can easily pay for items at stores.
Cons
Venmo is owned by PayPal. One con is they don't allow you to send money from Venmo to someone's Paypal. If you have a friend that only uses PayPal, you are not able to send money to that friend, using your Venmo balance. Venmo also allows you to buy and sell cryptocurrency, but when you go to sell any, it takes close to a week to verify the transaction. Other sites do this instantly, no matter how much you are selling.
