> Built for engineering and manufacturing test labs, not adapted from clinical software

Most lab management systems were designed for clinical diagnostics, pharmaceutical research, or genomics, then stretched to cover everything else. If you have evaluated LIMS platforms and found yourself ignoring half the features while the half you need is missing, that is why.

LIMSey was built from the ground up for captive physical test labs: the labs inside manufacturers that test products, components, and materials for their own organization. Appliance and consumer products, automotive components, packaging, aerospace, industrial equipment.

Who LIMSey is for

Lab managers running an internal test lab where testing is a service to the rest of the company. You are juggling shifting priorities from multiple requesters, tracking equipment calibration, and probably holding ISO 17025 accreditation or working toward it. Your lab may have no dedicated IT support, and you have been holding this together with spreadsheets, a shared calendar, and email.

Typical LIMSey labs run from a handful of technicians up to several dozen across multiple sites.

Who LIMSey is not for

Clinical or diagnostic labs handling patient samples, contract labs whose primary need is client billing, and research labs looking for an electronic notebook.

What you actually get

Requesters submit test requests through a portal and check status themselves instead of emailing you. Technicians see their assigned work in priority order on kanban boards you configure to match your workflow.

The AutoScheduler is the piece most labs have never seen elsewhere. You define which people and equipment can perform each task and how long each step takes. LIMSey assigns the soonest available resources, then reshuffles automatically when a job runs long, finishes early, or a technician calls in sick. No more rebuilding the schedule by hand every time priorities change.

Equipment records track calibration dates, training requirements, and maintenance history. When a piece of equipment fails its as-found check at recalibration, you can immediately see every job it touched since the last good calibration. Auditors ask that question. Most labs answer it with a week of digging.

Report templates pull samples, results, images, and attachments straight from the job, so a finished PDF or Excel report is one click rather than an afternoon of copying and formatting. Dashboards show turnaround time, throughput by technician, and equipment utilization for the conversations you have with leadership.

A built-in AI assistant answers questions about your lab data in plain English, and general testing questions too.

Pricing and support

Every feature is included in one per-user price. There are no modules to buy later, no fee for updates, and no separate charge for support. What you see quoted is what you pay in year three.

Implementation is collaborative rather than consultant-led. Most labs are running in weeks, not the six to twelve month deployments common in this category. Support comes from the people who build the product, so when you report a problem or request a feature you are talking to someone who can act on it. A meaningful share of the roadmap comes directly from customer requests.

LIMSey is fully cloud-based. No servers to purchase, no software to install, no IT department required. Data is stored on US servers in ISO 27001 certified data centers, encrypted in transit and at rest, with daily automated backups and role-based access controls.

Book a demo and we will show you your own workflow in the system rather than a generic tour.

## Reviews

### "Refreshing alternative to current LIMS solutions" — 5.0/5

> **Andrew** | *10 December 2018* | Aviation & Aerospace | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Convenient features, easy-to-use web interface, competitive pricing, great customer support, quick implementation of additional features that customers request, easily scale-able, requires little-to-no training to understand, offers customer access for sharing reports and documents
>
> **Cons**: None - when there is something I dislike I usually discuss it with their technical support and they usually implement a future update to give me the functionality I need, or give me an idea of how to meet my needs with the current features.
>
> Very, very happy with my overall experience. I am the owner of my laboratory which has grown from just me to a handful of employees. I spent months evaluating the most popular LIMS software (8 in total) on the market and found LIMSey to be the best software for our business. It took no special training to understand, is very easily accessible, requires no maintenance on my part since it's web-hosted, and is very easily scale-able when we add new employees and tests. Best of all, my customers can log in as well to view the status of testing, results, and to communicate with us. No other LIMS software that we tested even came close.

### "Would recommend" — 5.0/5

> **Alana** | *29 April 2022* | Food Production | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The software is user friendly and we were able to train and get started very quickly. The customer support has been tremendous. We have been using LIMSey for a few years now and they are a great company. They have shown a great interest in getting there software to a place that works for their customers. While there are a few things I wish LIMSey offered i genuinely have few complaints.
>
> **Cons**: I would love for there to be an electronic laboratory notebook feature that was linkable to multiple tasks. I would like the reporting feature to be a bit more end user friendly.
>
> I wouldn't want to move to anyone else. They listen and more often than not figure out a way to implement the changes their customers need.

### "LIMSey had promise, but went backwards." — 2.0/5

> **Colin** | *4 May 2022* | Renewables & Environment | Recommendation rating: 0.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The only feature that is still useful is the test template builder.
>
> **Cons**: I could spend hours describing how this product should work, but I've done that on the phone with LIMSey's management and changes opposite to my suggestions have been implemented. Basically, testing is a sequence based process, so LIMSey should be designed as such. However, LIMSey has removed all sequential based functionality. We have had to write a huge amount of our own software to make LIMSey work correctly, but that gets harder to maintain as LIMSey's functionality continues to decrease.
>
> My experience started neutral, but hopeful. Now I would never recommend it to another business.

### "Limsey" — 4.0/5

> **Andrew** | *4 May 2022* | Consumer Goods | Recommendation rating: 8.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Keeping track of requested test, test performed and results.
>
> **Cons**: Wish Dashboard page could update with correct number of total request, quicker.
It is glitchy at moments, some attachments load twice.
Wish edit button of task would be set to click at all times, to allow editing at the point of viewing.
If an attachment was deleted, I wish a popup would show, to place/indicate the reason for deletion - \[replaced with updated attachment. etc.\] to show on the report and in task or another place, maybe another tab, such as discussions.
Wish email was integrated, for notifications/discussions.

### "Great product and easy to use" — 5.0/5

> **Tina** | *2 February 2022* | Consumer Goods | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: LIMSey provides a management system for our product test lab that we could not find with the other LIMS available on the market. The others were designed for medical or biological labs and were not as cost efficient for our small lab. The customer service is excellent and they are always open to our suggestions for changes or improvements. They are very familiar with ISO 17025 requirements for laboratories and provide solutions to help us meet those requirements. It was easily implemented and is easy to use. It is an indispensable tool to help our lab maintain ISO compliance.
>
> **Cons**: Other than final test reports, it isn't formatted for printing. This could be improved.
>
> LIMSey has been a great addition to our lab. Prior to implementation, we were using MS Excel to manage our lab testing. It allows us to have all of our lab documents in one location. It is easily accessible to upper management and gives them a clearer picture of where we are in the project timeline.
