After reviewing several products that had too many bells and whistles, this was a streamlined product for our small office staff of 17.

Solid, customizable and scalable, platform for time and employee management.
Overall we've been very happy. We've been a customer back to the Time Off Manager brand. Over the years I've evaluated other platforms, but have continued to find PurelyHR the best platform for our needs, with the best ROI for u. We've continued to renew our subscription year after year because of our appreciation of the tool.
Pros
It has a lot of features that can offer complete customization for the needs of the business. I specifically like the modular pricing structure; allowing a business to choose what features and functions they need and not requiring that business to have to pay for what they don't. I also appreciate that they offer a non-profit discount, which is really the only reason we can afford to use the service. I've also found their customer service very responsive.
Cons
I wish they had a dedicated app to make it easier for employees to access their time off and time sheets. I also wish they had some additional customization for schedules of each person to allow a better sync between time off and time sheets.

Purely HR Feedback
When we purchased it originally, it met our expectations. Over the last few years, it's lagging. It isn't keeping up with technology. Recently, we experienced an issue where we missed a number of birthday and anniversary reminders because the system stopped working. Nobody from Purely HR alerted us, although they were clearly aware of this issue when we raised it. Poor communication about an outage.
Pros
It's relatively easy to use, and it has some functionality that we wanted when we were looking for an HR program. The auto-reminder function for birthdays and anniversaries is helpful
Cons
It's a bit clunky. We originally wanted to use the performance management section for our lawyers and legal assistants. Unfortunately, we were never able to get it to work for our lawyers (because we have to solicit feedback from more than 10 partners. We also stopped using it for assistants, this year, because the process seemed a bit difficult to manage. If 3 people were reviewing one person's performance, the first or second would inevitably choose "FINALIZE" which then required an admin to go back and re-open the process before others could add their input.

Overall, I am happy with this product. It has helped us to better plan for coverage, especially over the holidays.
Pros
I like that you can code different time off types with colors, then look at the calendar to see who is off/why. This really helps with planning! I also like being able to set up all the different time off categories, and length of service plans.
Cons
The reporting is a little 'cumbersome' to me. I would like to see a report that concisely lists the name, and then how much of each time off type left at end of year, without a different line listing each one.

Efficient Employee Management, Great Time-off Tools
Great - would totally recommend to other businesses with 5-50 employees.
Pros
Love the time-off function in general - great overall tracking of accruals, time off policies, and reports are easy to pull and so helpful!
Cons
The timesheet function would better suit our company with a more streamlined interface. We don't need project/scope specific work logging, instead just capturing the hours and the site address is what we need. Too detailed in my opinion, but still works!

It has been good so far, I wish when we implemented the system there was more time going through customization and all of the different features, I feel like I am learning more by trial and error

Just Get it!
We have been using PurelyHR for several years and haven't even thought of trying to find another solution for managing time off.
Pros
Ease of use, employees like the transparency and being able to submit their own requests. Keeps us organized as a team and helps us manage time off requests.
We like the option of being able to limit number of employees off during certain times of the year to make sure we have adequate staffing.
Cons
Multi-Day requests can be a bit tricky especially if it is around a holiday.

Highly recommend!
Whenever I'm not sure how to do something, there's a great library of tutorial videos. A couple of times I needed help and their customer support was great! They answered me quickly and gave me what I needed. My employees like the modern look and it's very easy to navigate, and our management team likes the reporting capabilities.

I brought Purely HR in years ago and it has made my job so much easier. We do not have a full time HR department so tracking PTO and planning PTO is so much easier with Purely HR. No complaints from PRO!

Always a 5-star Experience with PurelyHR!
My overall experience with PurelyHR since we began with PurelyHR in Oct 3, 2011 has been excellent. They have always assisted me whenever I have contacted them with a question or an issue. Over the years, PurelyHR has grown to the point where there are longer wait times, so there have been times where I have taken the other option of emailing them about the issue, and they do respond within a day or so with a response. That way I also have a written record which I can refer back to.
Pros
What I like most is that PurelyHR is an easy-to-use system where specific time-off requests and approvals or rejections are managed and recorded for both the employee and employer.
Cons
Calculations are the least of I like to do, but calculations are absolutely required for the system to work accurately.

I would highly recommend to any business looking for a reasonable priced program. It may not have every available option you can get elsewhere. But we found it covers off what we need, without the big price tag.
Pros
PurelyHR is incredibly user friendly and provides us what we need for our payroll. It tracks accurate time off accruals and time off used. The timesheet module is very easy to use for both admin and staff.

A modular solution for low requirement users

Stable, I've never known an outage, easy for staff to use.
Cons
MFA is hidden behind a paywall; so many settings pages for similar things; inability to customize all time off types but have to conform to how purely believes a business should run, UX has odd design choices that make pop ups require a vertical scroll unnecessarily, lack of integrations, cannot do scheduling at all

Easy user interface.
My tenure with it was short, but it was useful in the time that we had it. We migrated to ADP, otherwise we would have stayed using the tool.

I thought the navigation was easy and the user interface clear. It was not a product where I needed a ton of support to navigate.
Cons
As an admin, pulling vacation balances for the team members always took a little bit of reviewing. It wasn't as clear as other platforms I have used in the past.
