Hood Companies replaced more than 120 spreadsheets across 125 sites with a single system.

Spending stops going unnoticed. Budget lockdowns hold the line on unauthorized commitments, and budgeting runs top down or bottom up, in multiple currencies.

Decisions improve over time. Post-investment review compares what was delivered against what was approved, and that learning shapes the next request.

Planning Horizon

The base platform supports 3, 5 and 10+ year planning. CapEx360 for Mining, a separate subscription, extends that to 40 years for life-of-mine planning and includes Statistics Canada regulatory and statistical reporting out of the box.

Implementation and Support: 

Implementation is run by the CapEx360 team rather than left to you. A one-time fee covers scoping, configuration to your approval structure and delegation of authority matrix, and user training. Data migration is scoped and quoted separately. One global mining client completed a worldwide rollout in about four and a half months.

CapEx360 is ERP agnostic, connects to Microsoft Power BI for reporting, and is delivered as single-tenanted SaaS with SOC 2 certification, so your capital data is not co-mingled with other customers.

> **Pros**: It can model any Capital Approval process...even for global organisations with sites across the world where workflows and financial systems are different at each site.  It was also good to have a Capital Planning tool to input budgets into.  Workflow tracking and auditing was a strong feature.

> **Cons**: We needed more out the box financial reports than they provided.  They were able to develop them easily enough for us but out the box is always nice\!  The forecasting functionality out the box was basic so we had to adapt it too.
