Great scheduling software!
Pros
MakeShift makes it easy to schedule and track my employees attendance. The app makes the most up-to-date schedule available to all employees as soon as any changes are made.
Cons
Very easy to use and integration with ADP Workforce Now is seamless.

Overall good product but could use some updates for ease of use
Customer service has been outstanding and implementation was fairly straight-forward. Integration with ADP we have had some issues, but again, customer support, has been very helpful and prompt throughout.
Pros
The shift swap feature is great. Setting up shift templates and rotations for ease of use is also great!
Cons
Need monthly view and a system view to be able to see more at one time. Need filters to help employees and managers sort better.

Great product for you if simplicity is important
Function is a bit too basic and they’re not prone to changes. Instead of taking my feedback and sharing with the dev group, it seems like the dev group has their own agenda. So I use what I get.
Pros
It’s very basic and simple to use. Straightforward. Integration with ADP Canada is very important for the [SENSITIVE CONTENT].
Cons
Having to use 3 apps - manager app, scheduling app, and messenger app, makes it hard to manage.

Very simplem easy to use and deploy
Pros
MakeShift has greatly helped me improve my scheduling experience - it is very easy to use and deploy. We use MakeShift mostly for our contractual employees and contractors, I use this to create and distribute schedule from weeks, months, x number of days and it is very user friendly to use. This way - I am able to see staff schedule easily and real time based on my preference.Mobile access, real time updates, scheduling, communication and integration with ADP are some of my favorite things about this software.
Cons
I would like to see MakeShift make more improvements in terms of ADP - but it's already doing great and does it job well. There are quite few glitches but doesn't really affect productivity. I would also like to be able to leave a comment when I make a bid/trade on a shift.

Decent Timeclock and scheduling software
Customer service has always been responsive. They are good about communicating upcoming changes and down time. Overall it is an easy, simple scheduling and timeclock tool.
Pros
What I like most about Makeshift is that it is easy to export data for import into ADP.
Cons
What I like least about Makeshift is the inability to have a department where managers can clock in and out without them being able to edit their own time, the inability to view an overall timesheet for an employee, the inability to have a good system for tracking absences.

Not my favorite software
I wish my company had decided on a different scheduling software altogether.
Pros
I like that it has an app so I can work from my phone.
Cons
The features are very tedious and require so many more steps than necessary. I can't easily access my schedule without going through multiple avenues first. I can't delete shifts from the app. There is no "right click" option on the calendar for quick editing of a shift; you have to take the time to open the shift and make the changes, then save it.

Easy Peazy
You are able to clock in from your phone with ease. As a user, I can keep up with my hours, see what my paycheck will be before it is direct deposited. I'm able to see my checkstubs and download or email them. I get my W2's very quickly and can print or share them. This app is fairly user friendly as well.

Clocking in by either opening the app or quick clock
Cons
Before the update, it was not so user friendly. Since the update, it is better.

Makes Scheduling a Breeze
Pros
The integration with ADP is a huge upside. Simple to import employees to the correct locations/departments.

Easy to Use

MakeShift is super easy to use. It is easy to set up, create schedules and get employee availability. It has been our saving grace as we moved from in-person work to virtual work and training.

Makeshift Review
Makeshift has made it easier to confirm employees ADP schedules, it has taken the guess work out of shifts posted as worked on ADP. Makeshift schedule shows who was on shift, it communicates this to ADP so I do not have to go back to see who was on shift.
Pros
It is very user friendly, I am able to see my staff schedule both weekly and daily, which allows me to see in real time who is currently scheduled to work.
Cons
It can be difficult to post a shift using my phone, I find the amount of fields to be filled out can be time consuming. I don't have the drag and post option that is available when creating shifts on my computer.

User friendly and Easy to Use
I absolutely love using MakeShift to distribute my teams schedule. They can see shift changes in real time and immediately receive schedules when they are published. This eliminates all the confusion we had in the past with team members not knowing their schedule or making weekly calls to the store to find out what shifts they are working.
Pros
Makeshift makes scheduling employees a very simple process and it is incredibly user friendly. There are many platform features available to manage several different workforce tasks for business. As we integrate with ADP we use makeshift for scheduling to provide easy access for our store teams to see their schedule and request days off seamlessly without sending out spreadsheets or printing paper schedules.
Cons
I would like to see improvement with MakeShift as it concerns ADP integration. There are a small number of technical issues with the integration from time to time. Specifically, I would like for MakeShift to potentially display a "vacation" shift when full time associates request paid time off in ADP. As of now, MakeShift will only give you a shift sync error if you unintentionally schedule a shift on a day with a PTO request.

Makeshift in Strathmore
Overall experience is very good from the product itself, to the online support.
Pros
Integration was fairy easy, we had lot's of support. Features are easy to use and customize to what our company needs.
Cons
One of the features I would like to see changed is when an employee puts in their availability it shows up on their schedule but if a shift is requested on this day it does not reflect their availability and hours outside of the availability are still scheduled in.
I have also found shifts have been put into the wrong schedule from that employee that requested and was granted the shift.

Makes working from home easier!
Makeshift has been great in helping me transition to a "work from home" world. I love that I can clock in and out of work with the ease of tapping a screen. Brilliant.
Pros
So easy to clock in and clock out of work from anywhere. I can see all the hours I have worked whether it be in the past, or same day. So easy to use this software!
Cons
I wish the app would automatically load in the classic view when I log in from my phone.

Love this tool, use it daily.
Pros
Very easy to use. I love using the 'dashboard' feature for a snap shot of exactly who is scheduled to come in for any given shift and what our needs are.
Cons
When using dashboard - I would like a quicker way to forward to a date that is further out than a week or two. It would be nice to be able to advance without clicking for each day in between. Also, it would be nice to be able to see highlighted when we are over or under our baseline.

Pros
The most impactful part of makeshift for our hospital is that employees can see there schedule and request without calling the staffing office or contacting the unit. they are able to switch shifts and request trades in the app. we are also able to send announcements and individual messages if need be.
Cons
I would really like to be able to see the history or shifts that have been removed from employee's schedule and also be able to re enable a trade if you accidently decline and forgot the dates

Makeshift review
I really like the software because of it's ease of use, particularly with the mobile app and really don't have any issues with it.
Pros
The mobile app is every easy to use and allows our associates to see their schedules and changes plus it allows them to contact other associates for shift changes. It is also very easy to create our weekly schedules.
Cons
The only issue I have with the software (which might be on our IT's side) is when an associate asks for vacation time in Makeshift it does not integrate into ADP like the schedule does.

We love working with MakeShift. The customer support is super helpful and incredibly responsive.
Pros
Our company switched to MakeShift a year ago and I wouldn't go back if you paid me a million dollars. Makeshift has made scheduling so much easier and quick! You can build out templates and schedule people out for months or even years. Employees love having their schedules at their fingertips and the ease of trading shifts makes life easy.
Cons
I wish we could drag and drop schedules for several people at one time.

I've had a great experience using MakeShift. The program is very easy to use and any technical issues are dealt with very quickly.
Pros
Very easy to use. Employees love the flexibility of being able to request days off and to switch/pick up shifts with their co-workers. The system has saved our Managers hours of work put in to scheduling and rectifying scheduling conflicts.
Cons
As an admin on the account, I don't have the ability to view the posted/dropped shifts in the same way a regular user on the app has. Having this ability would allow me to anticipate shortages.

Easy to use
TheMakeShift team has always been very helpful to us to solve problems; advise on best setup practices and revive feedback to improve the tool.
Pros
This tool allows for a fairly easy setup to get teams up and running quickly. The ability to publish requests to fill empty shifts is quite handy!
Cons
A monthly calendar view would be most helpful to see a month at a glance in a format that everyone is familiar with.

From a Recreation Perspective
Great overall and easy to use.
Pros
Easy to schedule staff, love that you can copy schedules to other weeks, payroll download is clear and easy to understand, on site clock in and out feature as we have various work sites, can have different sites, jobs, shift templates.
Cons
Would like that is the staff clock in early or out late that there was a quick way to have it match the shift time for hours worked/payroll. Say the shift is 9 to 1 and they clock in at 8:45 and out at 1:05 the timesheet shows 4.25 hours instead of the 4 they were scheduled for.

User-friendly and convenient.
Pros
User-friendly and easy to learn for all users including both schedulers and employees. Easy to see which staff is available on any given day. Being able to integrate with our existing payroll & time and attendance system was a bonus.
Cons
Would like to be able to view or download a monthly version of the schedule. The Positions tab on the Schedule is great to use to see what shifts are unfilled, but it would be cool to have a feature where we can hover over a shift and it could tell us the names of staff that are scheduled for it.

Pretty good, feel it is better suited for businesses that have less variations week to week in terms of shifts and people scheduled though.

Not only is it easy for me to use but my Team members like it as well. They download the Makeshift app and can see their schedules with a click of a button. Very easy for them as well.

Not recommended
Won't work with us to make a file that is easily brought over to Payroll. I have to manipulate a spreadsheet which can easily cause errors.
Pros
I'm not sure what I like about the software.
Cons
Not being to look at an employee as a whole. You can only see a person's time only in the department that you are in, even though they have hours worked in another department.

Great new tech to keep people update
Pros
The most is the instantly updated so everyone can see the schedule fast and at the moment of published.
Cons
Add a shift in the cell phone admin is harder than the desktop.

Great Software for Scheduling
Makeshift is a great platform for us to build our schedules in the store. It's also great that it updates and changes in real time when changes are made.
Pros
Being able to import users from ADP. Drag and drop scheduling. Repeating previous weeks schedules.
Cons
Color coding shifts that are not used on the shift template in the weekly schedule. Color coding manager and assistant manager shifts.

Difficult communication for overtime
Overall good, except with above
Pros
It's easy to see what shifts are open and who's working them
Cons
When you bid on a shift, you should be able to leave a note with it if there's a special circumstance like only available partial shift or if it would be overtime. This inability is beyond annoying when you have to email a scheduler first before bidding in special circumstances
