> Wisepops is an traffic activation platform for teams who already have traffic and need more of it to convert. The typical user is an ecommerce or marketing manager who owns conversion targets, has no developer time to spare, and is tired of guessing whether a campaign actually earned its keep.

Who it fits

Ecommerce and Shopify brands doing 100K sessions a month or more, B2B SaaS teams qualifying visitors before a demo request, and media, nonprofit, and education sites growing subscriber or donor lists. Wisepops suits teams with real traffic and limited engineering support. Teams under roughly 10,000 monthly visitors will struggle to reach statistical significance in tests, which is worth knowing before you buy.

What you get

Six onsite channels run from one editor: popups, embedded forms, notification bars, quizzes, the Onsite feed, and web push notifications. Rather than showing the same message to everyone, Wisepops reads how each visitor behaves in real time and decides who sees what, based on browsing depth, cart value, traffic source, location, device, returning status, and Shopify customer tags.

Where Wisepops differs

Two things separate Wisepops from other CRO platforms and popup builders.

First, measurement. You can hold back a share of visitors as a control group that sees no campaigns at all, then compare revenue between groups. That tells you the revenue your campaigns added rather than the revenue they happened to touch. Reports cover revenue per visitor, average order value, bounce rate, session duration, and return visits, with statistical significance per metric.

Second, the service model. Wisepops is sold as platform plus people. Every managed account is paired with a dedicated strategist who runs a traffic audit of your site before you commit, designs the campaigns, and reviews performance with you monthly, with deeper quarterly sessions. If your team is small, that matters more than any feature list.

Support and onboarding

Installation is one script tag and takes about five minutes, with a Shopify app available. Your strategist configures the first campaigns rather than handing you a template library and wishing you luck. Beyond that, there is a help center, a customer community, and a template library for teams who prefer to build on their own.

More than 1,500 brands use Wisepops, including LVMH, Converse, Hertz, Emma, Timex, Tikamoon, and Les Mills.

## Reviews

### "We've used it for a short time but have noticed significant conversion gains since implementation." — 5.0/5

> **Luke** | *26 February 2018* | Automotive | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Advanced targeting options and built in functionality (sticky tabs) make it easy to use straight out of the box, and without coding knowledge. Of course if you want to customise it further, there is that option too which is fantastic. Service and support is always prompt.
>
> **Cons**: Still evaluating but haven't had any issues just yet. The only thing I'd raise is the ability for GA integration to come with all plans (including basic and pro) as I feel all businesses would want this, regardless of size.

### "Serving targeted popups with ease" — 5.0/5

> **Jess** | *15 July 2021* | Online Media | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The platform is extremely user-friendly, and it helps us target specific segments of our audience with tailored messaging for each cohort. And the customer service is unmatched\!
>
> **Cons**: I've had trouble understanding how to set up goals properly to link to our revenue raised from each popup to track ROI.
>
> The Wisepops team is a joy to work with. When I started using Wisepops about two years ago, I was new to this. While the platform is very easy to use, the Wisepops team worked with me to help fine-tune my popups. The team went above and beyond by sending me quick videos to watch so that I could elevate my design and they leaned in to assist whenever I was stuck. Equally important, the popups have helped us increase our monthly donor base significantly which is crucial as a nonprofit media organization.

### "Good for popups" — 4.0/5

> **Martin** | *4 October 2023* | Retail | Recommendation rating: 6.0/10
>
> **Pros**: We liked it because it is easy to implement and it had a lot of feature and examples to use.
>
> **Cons**: Complicated to develop mobile versions for the popups and campaigns.
>
> Good but some features lacking.

### "Longtime user wouldn't be without it" — 5.0/5

> **Jack** | *14 September 2018* | Information Technology & Services | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Clear and easy to use interface
Works on any kind of website (HTML, PHP, WordPress, etc.)
Dashboard provides nice summary of activity
>
> **Cons**: Frankly, there isn't anything I don't like, but that might be because I was one of the original users of the product - back in the day when they had a "free forever" model (not exactly forever, but free for a whole lot of impressions). If I was a new client, I might be a bit disappointed there aren't any lower cost options for very infrequent users.

OK, I just thought of one thing I don't like. My "free forever" account will only work on one domain, and in the past, I was simply able to reconfigure the software to change the domain name as needed. This preserved my list of popups while still allowing me to service one domain at any given time. A recent update to the software now forces the current domain to be disabled before creating a new domain. This removes my history of popups.
>
> I handle webmaster duties for a number of very small mom \& pop operations. Their sites may get a handful of hits a day - certainly fewer than 30 on average. Sometimes, these businesses need to close early or the owners want to go on vacation. I offer to place a popup on their site to inform visitors when the business is closed during regular business hours. For those businesses who have PHP/HTML sites and cannot use other types of popups (like the many offered through WordPress), I find that Wisepops is my go to solution. If I ever start managing sites for companies that can afford the monthly fee, I would switch to a paid plan.

### "Easy to Use" — 5.0/5

> **Alex** | *17 November 2023* | Retail | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The software offers a remarkably user-friendly deployment process. Its AB Testing capabilities are outstanding, simplifying the process of testing and optimizing efficiency to a great extent. Additionally, the ability to segment based on the UTM Parameters present in the URL is an exceptionally clever feature.
>
> **Cons**: Little more variety of pops would be nice to see.
