Migration Success!
I loved the journey to migrate to Zenoti for our PMS solution! The team, the software, all a great fit for us!
Pros
I love their implementation team! A joy to work with and always able to accommodate our needs. The product itself is wonderful as well. Great for enterprise platforms and single practices alike. So much depth to the software.
Cons
Some of the current workflows are less efficient than our old solutions. Forms, e-prescribe, etc. That being said, several of these features are being revamped or added in the near future.
I will also add that the project management tools we used became a little cumbersome. They used 2 different tools that were different than the 2 we use in our business. Add in email and it can be a little difficult to ensure you are up to speed on all communications!

Owner of medical spa
After many years on another major platform, I was initially apprehensive about switching to Zenoti. However, the superior user interface, enhanced functionality, and strong reputation ultimately won me over. To my surprise, the migration process was seamless, thanks to the exceptional support team.

His ability to configure the software to meet my specific needs was impressive. I've gone through onboarding with other companies before, but this experience was by far the best. Stay Away from this operating system for spas, gyms, etc
Awful - Run do not walk - AWAY - they offer no support once you a paying client.
Pros
It is connected to all our franchises so customer data is at any location.
Cons
It is a very non user friendly program. They do not update the platform. NOTHING autosaves. So if you step away from your desk and get delayed all your progress is instantly lost when working on reports, email campaigns, etc. They system lets us down on a daily basis. There is absolutely no "help" because support is out of the country and they take days to respond.

[sensitive content hidden] is the absolute best. He met with me a lot because I honestly needed that. In AR, I met with someone a couple times, but I didn't stick with them because I felt like they didn't care. [sensitive content hidden] cares. He's amazing. He knows me, my staff, and that's how you keep customers.. you need more people like [sensitive content hidden] in the company. He's the face. And [sensitive content hidden] is amazing too.. she was more behind the scenes helping but I'm grateful for THEM as a team. I wouldn't be live without them. We all know that. I would like to be able to upload PDF files into my treatment form areas. The charting interface of Zenoti is much more difficult than AR -- I used to be able to label where all my tox went on a face and in Zenoti that's not feasible. I would like a better charting of the face so I can be sure tox/filler is placed in the correct places.

Great software that "does it all!"
Great experience with Zenoti. Highly recommend!!
Pros
Zenoti is very robust software and our businses was able to use as a one stop shop for our business needs. Really appreciated the reporting capabilities as well as the built in marketing for emails and texts to our guests. Support team was very responsive and helped to quickly answer questions and provide resolutions.
Cons
Implementation was a bit intense, but that is to be expected considering the customization Zenoti allows for each business.

Great SAAS that covers for our spa
Moving to a new system is always painful, but Zenoti has a large and capable team that helped numb the pain. Their system covers everything that we need in a MedSpa software.

Overall, zenoti has been helpful but there are some rather tedious features that take away from the user friendliness of it all.
Pros
I like how all the data is easily accessible in the reports and in general booking appointments is an easy process. During my onboarding, [sensitive content hidden], was amazing!! She answered every one of my questions in detail, even ones that may seem simple.
Cons
There are way too many options and in order to make one change sometimes it requires many steps. The permissions for each job can also be overwhelming.

Great for managing multiple salons!
It was fantastic. The beginning phase of it was extremely all about sales which was hard because i am very "get to the point" and there was slight miscommunication on some things we thought we were going to be able to do that we didn't end up gaining access to due to [SENSITIVE CONTENT] not having the right information. But again, very minimal when it comes to all the great things we gained! Our onboarding & development team was AMAZING. We scheduled frequent calls and they were completely on target with our launch date and they were honestly so amazing. I talk to them so much they started to feel like family and I am truly going to miss them! Everything on Zenoti's end between the onboarding, development and then our Customer Success manager after going live, it was all so great an organized! They are truly there to give you anything you need and they will spend all the time needed with you to help you!
Pros
Something that I loved about Zenoti is how custom you can make it. We are a 5 location business where all of our employees work at all of our salons. Cutting down the time when it comes to running reports & running payroll has made a dramatic difference in my day to day use. Also for our salon coordinators, there are so many features that took away tons of their daily tasks because the system does it automatically. Now it has freed up more of their time to focus on being more available on the phones & helping with retention projects. Also, If your someone like me that doesn't have time to sit on hold for hours waiting for a customer service personal to get on the phone to answer questions , then Zenoti will be great for you because you have access to a 24 hour chat box that someone replies within minutes!
Cons
I would say there is any cons that make a huge difference for me? I look at it as I gained so many benefits that the little things that confused me are not a big deal. The one thing that doesn't make sense to our business personally is the way the invoices operate, once an appointment is created, its considered an ope invoice. If someone "no shows" and your staff isn't on it when it comes to no showing or cancelling them, That invoice will stay open & effect payroll. Again, not a big deal as long as you have a staff that is on top of their duties, it shouldn't be an issue (:

It’s been great due to [SENSITIVE CONTENT]. Change is hard and he’s really helped us get to the system we need and want. I like the personal touch with our rep.

[SENSITIVE CONTENT]. He’s been Amazing at helping us adjust to the change. I Ike the way it looks and there’s some really easy functions to it. I like the class sign up.
Cons
There’s some things that are fluid with a yoga studio. The inability to change a clients membership between packages, for example is we do a challenge and they have an existing package, I would like to have the ability to set priority in pricing options. So the system will pull from the challenge or the most important one and leave the class passes I also do not like thaT you have to open an invoice to change the date of a memberships. We will our chase a membership say on Friday for a student who took class in a Monday and it’s a lot of steps to do that.

User friendly and great features
Pros
Zenoti is very user friendly and has so many features. We utilize Zenoti for booking, scheduling, inventory management, reporting, and marketing. It is nice to have a software that can do it all.
Cons
We would love if there was a consultation feature for Zenoti. We currently use TouchMD for our consultations, but if Zenoti had a consultation feature like TouchMD it would be nice to have everything in once place. Overall though, we are very happy with Zenoti.

Beauty Edit Review
It has been very positive so far! we are still learning the ins and outs but I have no doubt that it will work great for us. Having the readily available support fro [sensitive content hidden] has ensured that our business operations were not interrupted which was very important for us.
Pros
We are still getting familiar with Zenoti but so far all of the functionality far surpasses our previous software. The customer support we have received from [sensitive content hidden] has been over and above any other company we have worked with. He has been instrumental in helping us get Zenoti set-up and functional. He responds very quickly and address every issue in a very timely manner. We would have been lost without his exceptional support and I hope he is recognized for his incredible service.
Cons
The migration from Aesthetic Record has been a nightmare but I do realize the issues were on their end so I cannot fault Zenoti for this.

Zenoti grows as you grow
Great so far. We continue to evolve and Zenoti is able to match up with us.
Pros
There are so many features that you really need to be aware of what you need or want. They do a great job with your customer suppport through the CSM to make sure you are getting full use of your capabilities that you purchase. I like that they are responsive to my requests and the software changes often. My old scheduling suite had not changed anything in years.
Cons
Zenoti is on the high side of pricing but you get what you pay for. It is very capable and will grow with you. Also, I would like a few more protections for business owners as far as not showing your employees all the information about your business. They ZMA and MyZen apps really push the boundaries of what I'm comfortable sharing in a super competitve business field.

Not for med spas
From onboarding to present day, this has been an extremely difficult and frustrating process. I regret ever switching to Zenoti.

I wish I could come up with something. The sales team put on a great presentation.
Cons
Not to be dramatic, but I don't believe any of the features have worked as promised. The most frustrating part is that their tech support is overseas, so it can take days or weeks to get an answer to what should be a simple problem.

A Lot to Take In, But Worth It
Overall the experience has been good. Our company has been in the middle of a giant relocation and build-out. Implementing a new system was naturally a chaotic experience due to our circumstances. I think that is what is impressive - the Zenoti team, namely [sensitive content hidden], was incredibly helpful in assisting us and we were able to go live with our system exactly when we hoped. Every time we have run into any kind of question or issue, we are met with prompt assistance.
Pros
The ability to properly track inventory - this was our main reason for changing POS systems. Functionally fantastic and loads of features we were previously lacking.
Cons
There are aspects that are a little clunky as far as administration and client experience goes, and the overall aesthetic leaves a lot to be desired.

Nightmare experience with well-meaning people
We are able to ring up guests using this software.
Pros
The salesperson was lovely and provided excellent attention during the sales process. After months of surveying the spa software choices, we moved from Booker on the strength of her demos and promises. It was also so refreshing to have a real human to speak with after months of aggravating customer care from our previous software provider. The people at Zenoti are well-meaning and they seem to care.
Cons
I don't want to have to write a bad review because the Zenoti people are good people. But I want, to be honest so other spa/salon founders do not go through the experience we have been through. Running a spa is tricky enough--your software must support and lift you up, not take you and your entire team's morale down.
Unfortunately, we have come to the conclusion that Zenoti's customer service is lip service. :( They have promised to work out the bugs in the system, but after months of promises, the bottom line is that there are no results.
The promises made by the salesperson were not fulfilled. Even though we paid $3K for the data transfer, we had to hire four of our own team members to transfer over the data and memberships. (They said they would refund us $1500.)
The day of going live, Zenoti erroneously triggered 250 emails going out to our members telling them they had a facial the next day. We were flooded with calls and emails from our members as a result.
The general consensus within our team is that everything is overcomplicated. It is not an intuitive or seamless process. Payroll is time-consuming and reading the reports--it takes triple the time to go through it all to ensure accuracy.
One team member summed it up: "They are like bad boyfriends. Booker was hell, Zenoti is hell. Which hell do you prefer, the simpler one that never talks to you or the hell that's trying to be the Harvard professor?"

It has improved as I learn my way around over the years. there have been some updates that have helped but I would like to see usability streamlined more.
I really like the chat help feature on ioffice.
I would gladly speak with a software design specialist and discuss some of the issues we as a company experience.
Pros
[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] is an amazing technical support person. Our system has some complex set-ups that are not common for this software. [SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] has been able to correct some major issues that have caused our system not to perform accurately as well as getting many credit card processing issues resolved. Over the years he has been the go to guy for the hardest of issues. He is very knowledgeable, patient and has great follow up.
Many things have frustrated us about the software, but [SENSITIVE CONTENT] and a few others[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN] have saved the day for us.
Cons
There are glitches. There are too many steps to some of the processes. we are high volume salons and we have clients stare at us while we get them checked in and out. Its usability is could be simplified. It does not seem to be designed with a non-technical person in mind.
It also lacks some usability conveniences especially in the inventory and ordering end of things.
I wish we could change the print set up of reports too. Some are SO small to read.

Awkward and overkill for a small salon business
We chose to work with Zenoti because they are a local company and allowed us to use the system for free in exchange for helping them adapt the system for small business use. However, the software they provided was too quirky and unstable for us to reliably deploy into our business, and the interface was difficult to use and unattractive. Despite their best efforts to make it work for us, we were sinking too much time into troubleshooting and asking questions about the system, so we had to drop it.
Pros
It seemed extremely feature-rich for large businesses, and very flexible and customizable from the backend by Zenoti. However, it was overwhelming and cumbersome for a small business like ours. We were guinea pigs for a trial run for small business integration, so we got a lot of attention and help from the developers.
Cons
The interface looks dated and unattractive. Also would load with visual glitches on certain browsers. Tremendous amount of features was overwhelming and unnecessary for a small business. POS integration was awkward and unreliable. Despite the fact that we got a lot of attention and help from the developers to try to mold Zenoti to our needs, we ended up spending too much time fighting with the system to the point that it was harming our productivity and we had to switch to something that was more stable and plug-and-play ready.

I have been able to work with an account Manager- [SENSITIVE CONTENT] who has been really helpful and has connected me to resources when needed. We had an issue at first with our injectable faces loading on treatment notes. This was something within the software that could not be fixed immediately- it required the engineers to get involved and many phone calls and follow up because we did not understand why this was happening- we were able to meet with the [SENSITIVE CONTENT]/other employees who helped ensure things were resolved. I have not had a major issue since that and I was pleased that even as a small account we were given attention.
Pros
I have been really happy with the program overall and I have used many different programs in the past. Many marketing and reports that I used to pull manually and put into excel are now automated. I appreciate the functionality that it has to offer and have not found it to be cumbersome to teach new employees or for the medical staff.

Recommendations for new adopters: The more you front load your learning of the system- Everyone completing all the modules, using the ? button in the system first before contacting support, getting very involved in the setup of your system, forms and inventory- the better. Retake the same modules once you have 6 months of operation with the software so that you can elevate your understanding and ask new questions. Understand ahead of time that your first layer of support is always online so if you do not have a person who has the time and flexibility during the day to resolve any issues or questions that come up with Zenotis support team- your team may be frustrated. I am a non-clinical operations consultant who handles these types of things for my employer so it is not an issue for them.

A Fantastic SaaS System & Top-Notch Support Team!
Zenoti provided a solution that is able to be used in a Franchise system. It solved many problems including: accurate reporting & analytics by location and across the franchise, the ability to track & collect royalties, a system that can be set to automatically apply promotions and discount codes (easily), the ability to track discounts that locations are using, the settings that can be enabled by role, the ability for customers to make purchases online and via the app (when we're selling offsite), an app, customer consent forms are easy to fill out. All of these (and much more) are making it seamless and increasing sales by allowing us to easily ring-up customers and for customers to make purchases at their fingertips. The support team is incredible. Not only the minute-by-minute support received after launch, but the implementation team that gets you from beginning to end. The implementation team made me feel extremely supported and I truly made friends with them just several weeks into the process. This team spends hours (literally) a week and (sometimes) a day to ensure the set-up and transition from the old software platform is seamless.

Zenoti is an integrative platform that is comparable to and perhaps better than other SaaS systems for spa & wellness businesses. I like how easy it is for businesses to customize it to their needs, while customers can easily navigate the booking & purchasing platforms. However, the best thing about working with Zenoti is the support team. They are real, knowledgeable people who are integral in getting this system set-up for an organization. Two individuals who made our entire 'Go Live' possible, in what felt like reocrd time were [sensitive content hidden]. They were efficient, quick to respond, patient and bent over backwards to ensure our success. In what was already an almost impossibly short amount of time that we requested to have the system ready to go, they ensured a successful launch for customers and our franchisees. Overall, Zenoti is great. If I want to get picky about the system, I'd say the ability for the system, as an enterprise platform to have more options to turn settings on and off for certain locations -aka the option for price adjusting & the ability to edit email & text templates. However, being an enterprise (Franchise) system, generally you will have the settings predominantly the same for everyone. I do wish there was an option for the consent forms to be automatically text to clients without the EZConnect text integration, maybe if there was even a $0.10 fee per form auto text to the client.

Gaslighting on Tap
It's not a bad system if you just need the absolute basics, and if you are the kind of person who just accepts everything and never dreams of calling customer service to ask for better functionality. And if you're not color blind. But if you're the kind of person who knows that you deserve excellence and responsiveness in exchange for your hard-earned money, go elsewhere.

It has a catchy name, and it usually keeps accurate track of client appointments.
Cons
If you ever have an issue with the app, customer support's first line of defense is to gaslight you and claim that your problem isn't really a problem. They just rolled out their Version 2, and it's a disaster. The new color scheme for the appointment blocks are so muted, you can't see by color change when a client checks in. When I contacted their customer support to report the problems we're having, I was told, "I assure you, the colors have not changed." Fortunately, we have not updated all of our devices (our entire front desk staff revolted and refuses to run the V2 update), so I could take a photo of the before and after color schemes. I replied, "And I assure you, the colors have absolutely changed, and they are almost useless now." We have also had issues with the appointment screens on linked devices not automatically updating when an appointment is checked in, and a client form that is only accessible by a round-about back-door process instead of the big "Client Form" button that should bring it up. When I reported the client form issue, I was given instructions on how to change the form's status so it could be updated. Unfortunately, none of our IDs, not even our studio owner's ID, has access to the Admin section required to change the form. When I told them we didn't have access, their first reply was again, "Yes, you do." I sent them screenshots of our owner's Admin dashboard, and the necessary icon was not there. I have yet to get a reply.

Horrible for sending emails

It has some good features, however, my one major con has completely eliminated the pros.

I've repeatedly contacted the company about not being able to send mass emails to my database. Because I own multiple companies, when I try to send a mass email instead of combining the credits from all my locations into an org level, it only shows the credits from one location and therefore I cannot send a mass email. I've contacted the company repeatedly and they have not resolved the problem. I've completely lost patience with them and will be looking for another company. I do not recommend Zenoti.

Exceptional Onboarding and User-Friendly Software Experience

Finally A Software Focussed on Medical Spas
To date, it has been better than I had imagined. I have been in this industry for almost 20 years. Changing software is a nightmare; you gain and lose some things. I was worried about making another change and the disruption to staff and workflow; I have migrated databases that have been disastrous. We have had a seamless transition with a client database of 37 thousand names. Thanks to my Zenoti team of [sensitive content hidden], this has been an amazing migration and set-up. Indeed, the most successful software change, migration, and setup I have done thanks to them and the rest of the team!

It is easy to use, having all our software needs in one program: scheduling, reporting, charting, marketing, memberships, online booking, and payments. In the past, this required multiple software programs to achieve each, adding additional cost. Now, we have one cost and one software to work from, improving workflow and efficiency.

Onboarding with Zenoti
Overall, I am pleased with our decision to utilize Zenoti. It is by far the most advanced software I have found from a reporting and financial standpoint as well as infinite customization. That customization definitely comes at a time cost in terms of setup, but I think will be well worth it in the end.
Pros
Zenoti is a pretty powerful piece of software that met all of our expectations and needs from an operations and accounting standpoint - and then some. We are still in the very early stages so are still learning to use some of the features and functionality - but I will say that I have been part of several software onboardings/rollouts with EMRs/practice management solutions, and I can genuinely say that I have not experienced a more helpful, prompt, and just all around wonderful team than the one we had with Zenoti. and [sensitive content hidden] were amazingly responsive and had great questions and feedback that helped us set the system up the way we needed.
Cons
While Zenoti really excels in reporting and customization options, there are some aspects of the clinical usage that could be a bit more robust, and I would love to see an integration with Alle or other rewards programs! It's also not the most intuitive system to use/learn - but I have not worked with any software that has as many guides as Zenoti that show step by step how to do something. They also have weekly in-person trainings and Q+A for all users, I have attended one so far and found it incredibly helpful. So training and guidance is readily available after onboarding, which really helps with the less intuitive aspects.

As the manager of our med spa, I'd like to address some concerns regarding our experience with Zenoti. We've found it frustrating that certain features that should enhance platform usability come at an additional cost. Specifically, the lack of automatic notifications for low credits in email marketing has been particularly infuriating.
Recently, after utilizing Zenoti for 1.5 years, we began utilizing the marketing tools, only to find ourselves inadvertently exceeding our email capacity for May 2024. While we understand the need to pay for marketing emails, it's disappointing that hitting our cap also impacts essential functions like emailing receipts, without prior warning from Zenoti.
Furthermore, the response from Zenoti support was less than satisfactory, offering to add 7500 emails for an additional $200 instead of acknowledging the lack of notification. This feels unreasonable given our already substantial monthly investment in the platform, which includes charges for text messages and photo management.
As a small business, I manage the backend operations alone, making efficient support crucial. Unfortunately, Zenoti's customer service primarily relies on AI responses, resulting in lengthy wait times and a lack of personalized attention. Additionally, despite our investment, we've yet to receive proactive outreach from Zenoti regarding our experience or feedback on their app.
In conclusion, while Zenoti offers valuable features, the lack of proactive support and additional charges for essential functionalities detract from its overall utility and value for our business.

Implementation team was awesome. Very technically skilled, very responsive, very polite. The communication has been excellent. We deployed at busiest time of the year (December) and the implementation team went above and beyond the call to support us.

The work of exporting data from old programs and restructuring for Zenoti was extensive. However their support team was generally excellent to work with. Almost one year in, we find occasional hiccups but can typically find a solution or workaround.

Love this product
I have been using Zenoti with 2 different companies I have worked with and I love it. It has some issues as you will find with any CRM/EHR, but they are constantly making updates and rolling out improvements. The main reason that we are with Zenoti today is that they have the best reporting that fit our needs as a business and are able to make custom reports for us. As a new company, this is our 3rd EHR and we are here to stay. We feel that Zenoti will remain a fit for us no matter how large we grow and they give us the reporting tools we need to grow.

Use in a MedSpa
It's been so-so. I have very mixed feelings on Zenoti overall. While it works better than our previous software (Aesthetic Record), it fell short of initial expectations.

There ARE a lot of features if you can figure out how to use them and set them up properly. We do also like that there is an App you can have for your MedSpa as well as an online booking portal.
Cons
Not many good integrations for MedSpas and everything is an add-on that you have to pay more for. Kind of clunky and dated and the checkout process (especially where coupons & discounts are concerned, and using membership benefits) and membership features are not the greatest. Also not very customizable or flexible to our specific business needs. The App you get (an have to pay extra for) is very bare bones and not much you can customize.

not a good time
It is July 7th I signed my contract the beginning of April with Zenoti. I researched and I did demos with alot of companies and this had the most features relevant to my salon for the best price. it has been a complete and total nightmare. like I am so frustrated and I have already made the decision that it is not fixable and I need to switch. they insist on using Microsoft meets and doing video calls. their schedule and availability is so limited and basically on my 3 busiest days. it has never worked properly for one day. I am not computer illiterate. ive used a few programs in my 11 years working in salons and 3 years owning one. I made my own shopify website -- which isnt that hard but a lot of people cant. usually I am able to figure out the program I am using and do everything on my own. this is not the case. there are always issues and then ill go into the settings and try to figure out where the issue is and I end up detrimentally ruining more stuff that can't be taken back. which is insane and ive never had these issues on other softwares. my online booking has been down for a week twice. we get around 100 bookings a week that are usually online booking.. those have been lost appts or a massive amount of phone calls and messages for me and my staff. their zenoti university is lengthy and not helpful as the program is different if you're on computer/phone or tablet. essentially there are 3 versions you need to learn. if you're not a software programmer don't do it.

Terrible experience

Compared to our old system, the user interface was better than the old one. The checkin kiosk works well, and most of the functions for the most part.
Cons
I have many more cons than pros.- Their Zenoti branded credit card machine sucks, and if you lose WiFi connection there is no way to check out clients, this is a BIG problem for us and embarrassing when our clients have no other form of payment. It makes us look very unprofessional.-Our phone rings more now than it has for nearly a decade due to all the grievances our clients have when trying to schedule our appointments, we get calls from disgruntled clients all throughout the day because the Zenoti system for various reasons (we have at least several different scenarios/issues that clients can’t schedule their appointment).- we have two computers at the front desk that we use (as well as our mobile phones), because we are a very busy high-volume salon Zenoti system. The problem with this? It rarely syncs on its own so therefore if you are busy and a customer calls (again we get a lot of calls now because their system sucks) and you schedule on one computer but forget to “sync”, you end up double booking. -Product inventory….I won’t even go into this in detail but let’s just say that after having this system for 6 plus months our inventory count/stock has still not been right.Honestly there is so many more aggravations that I’m done listing them as I am getting angry just thinking about what a nightmare this system has been.We have brought the most pertinent issues to support since having the stystem and THEY STILL HAVE NOT RESOLVED THE ISSUES.

Amazing. The software is so powerful. It truly gives shop owners so much more control, allowing for a thousand more revenue stream options.
Pros
I love the softwares ability to be customized to meet my stores needs. There are so many options available to make the software work for my business rather than me making my business work for the software. I also love my Customer Success Manager [sensitive content hidden]. He is so knowledgeable and helps me develop solutions to all of my requests.
Cons
Because there are so many ways to customize the software, I do find the UI to sometimes be overwhelming. I wish it was organized better. The load times for reports can sometimes be a little long. The knowledge base for self help could bee updated more often and organized better.

The Customer Service is my favorite part of working with Zenoti. This platform is extremely user friendly, but if I ever feel stuck on anything, our account manager and the Zenoti Support Team is very responsive and always has very helpful feedback for us to optimize the use of Zenoti for our business.
Cons
We have had issues with setting up the correct pricing for the couples massages, but the customer support team is always very responsive with helping us work out the back end of setting up services.

Good experience with switch to Zenoti"
Booking rooms and technology so we can be the most efficient and constantly have availability for booking. The text message marketing has also increased our marketing efficacy.
Pros
It provided a great solution to our issue of a growing clinic. The features have made our payroll, reporting, booking of treatment rooms and equipment much easier. We also love their marketing platform!
Cons
It was a very tedious process to switch from our original system due to our large clientele, retail inventory, etc. We have learned a lot along the way to make the system work the best for us.

Possible the worst user experience salon software on the market
Overall, the only reason we are sticking to Zenoti is the time we have already invested in implementing it. But if it can't perfect the fundamental features like an extremely smooth online booking flow that works 100% of the time, I believe we'll move on to something better sooner rather than later.

What's bad about Zenoti is a long list from our experience so far. The data migration process and onboarding was less than ideal as crucial data like appointment start time, services and total cost were 90% wrong. The onboarding team had the chance to fix it but they still got it wrong so we took the matter to our own hand and spent half a day manually fixing the data. They were also less than enthusiastic about implementing additional requests which were critical for our business, so we mostly did it by ourselves. The user experience is horrific to say the least. It's extremely complicated, made more difficulty by the fact that it was made with, what felt like, very little empathy for both the administrator and the end user. Simple changes to the webstore takes too many steps and it's hard to find my way around the configuration of our store. It took awhile but we figured it out.The Zenoti mobile experience for our staff was frustrating as it was much less intuitive and more clunky and some previous softwares we used. Our clients constantly complain to us how it was much more difficult for them to book an appointment online. It's basic issues ie. webstore doesn't redirect a user to the booking confirmation page after creating an account, resulting them having to go through the entire booking flow again - but the slot is reserved for 5 minutes so they can't book it until 5 minutes later (this has happened 4 times this week - that we know of).

A very great upcoming Product!
We started with lots of downs as our setup process and some of our other system functionalities where not working. As more and more updates started to occur and we where given a rep for the product we where able to get all the assistance we needed to get rolling. I truly enjoy the experience and functionality now for this product and it has grown exponentially since we first started with it. I truly Believe it is the best product on the market right now!

A software that has a lot of firepower, but easy to use for the SMB spa
So we were just having a lot of issues with our old software provider (Booker) - feature roll-outs were taking forever or not meeting timelines, had to resort to using 3rd party software for certain features (and then occasionally having sync issues), the API to our payment processing not working and either not charging customers (or worse, double charging them), the software site being down for whatever reason, slow, bugginess, etc impeding upon our receptionists ability to do their job, the list goes on. But there is a lot of inertia once you are in a software, especially for several years like we were, but once we decided to add locations we knew we had to take a hard look at the market. Zenoti thus far has met all of our expectations, freed us from the issues we were facing, and given us additional horsepower to optimize our business and increase our utilization that we are looking forward to using. They even were able to provide us savings on our payment processing, which I thought was close to impossible as we had looked at other payment vendors over the years and thought we had it as good as it could get. Plus having actual people to connect to with our issues if we need them, a help desk that can dig into your issues when you have them LIVE (albeit sometimes takes a while, I wonder if they are a bit shortstaffed there), and a high functioning system makes this a relationship we see going on for a long time.
Pros
The software is essentially enterprise-grade, so when we made the switch as a SMB local spa there were a TON of settings/questions we had to go through at setup, but the team does a really good job of understanding your processes and requirements and getting the software dialed in appropriately. It is a product that fits us for today and well into the future, and the additional features they keep rolling out just continue to make our business more efficient and our lives easier. When we went from 1 location to 2, we went back to market to look at software alternatives (we were on Booker), and Zenoti just jumped out at us as the best alternative. We were using a 3rd party for our loyalty program, and another company for email marketing, and were able to consolidate it all within Zenoti, which is better for us and better for our customers. Now it's one system for everything, and someone in one location can see the schedule or know what's going on in another location, our customers can choose where they want to visit us at, and it all works seamlessly without having to go back and forth or worrying about it something didn't sync or something got missed in the master data.
Cons
Biggest thing we are missing (and we have put in an enhancement request) is the ability to prioritize certain staff over others, as we try to book certain people first before we book others. Also wish we could allow staff to get text messages when appointments are booked for them, as most people function by text, but with the new Google/iOS calendar syncing this may be a decent alternative. Also the length of appointments is odd when you have appointment time plus buffer time that all looks the same, so wish there was a way to grey out buffer time or make it different so our receceptionists can discern easier if they need to reduce buffer time a bit to fit in an additional appointment.

Switching from Booker to Zenoti
Overall, our initial onboarding team has been very helpful. When we've encountered an issue, as long as it has been brought up with them we generally receive a timely response and a solution to the problem. However, many times we are instead needing to reach out to the Zenoti chat help center. Unfortunately the IT help that we have received via the chat system has been very very poor. On a few occasions, despite labeling our issue as high priority, we have not received an adequate solution till the following day. Or when we list the different things we have already tried to fix the problem on our own, the IT team regurgitates the same information back to us. It is because of this that many times we have had to find our own solutions to problems spending hours going over Zenoti help sites and reading tutorials instead of being able to work on other pressing business matters. The IT support has been so terrible that we've just about stopped reaching out to them for help altogether and have either messaged our onboarding team directly instead or found our own solutions to the problem. We're very excited for when everything is fully onboarded and running to plan because we can see the enormous potential in this software for our business, but we've definitely had a few bumps along the road that have left us quite frustrated at times.
Pros
Zenoti has a lot of features and customizations that weren't available to us with our previous software program. The Booking Wizard for one is an excellent feature for our front desk when looking for a provider's availability. We've also come to really love the ezConnect text feature. Many of our guests are much easier to get in touch with via text communication and this is an excellent way to do that without using any of our employee's phone numbers. I also love that we can establish prerequisites for services to ensure that when a guest is booking online they can only book certain services if those prerequisites have been completed. This has helped us to avoid some inappropriately scheduled appointments that we often had with our old software. We also now have access to a lot more specific data for our providers. For example they can now easily check their customer retention and rebook rates, they can set goals that are trackable within the system, and we as a business can better monitor our provider's use of time and adjust commission accordingly.
Cons
There is a lot of getting used to when going through the initial onboarding process because Zenoti has so many customizable features. In general these customizations are a good thing, but it can be frustrating when you are in front of or on the phone with a guest and you run in to an issue that requires adjusting a specific setting because it is not always easy to find amongst all of the other options.

Happy long term user of Zenoti. Better experience than Mindbody/Booker, but still needs...
I have used Zenoti for 3+ years. I have very few problems and the software continues to slowly improve over time. There is still room for improvement, but there truly is no software out there that will 100% fit all your needs. Zenoti meets more of my needs than prior software I used. (Schedulicity, MindBody, Booker)
Pros
Zenoti is great for membership-based businesses. It allows many things to be customized with many more options than Booker/Mindbody. Online scheduling overall has a good flow and can help upsell add-ons. The online booking experience is better than prior software I used. It is also great that Zenoti allows you to create target segments based on many triggers to send automated text and emails.
Cons
There are lots of the backend is not very user-friendly. There is lots of html coding and other outdated features when creating content, but Zenoti is slowly making things more user-friendly over the years. Some features are hard to find since the backend is quite large and scattered in my opinion, but the good thing is that many features can be customized more than other booking software. Since there are so many features, I feel that I am not using the software to its full potential.

Gets better daily
We have had several POS softwares over the years but we have been extremely happy with Zenoti. While no software is perfect, their team takes the time to check in with you and assist in making the software work best for your company's needs. Our Account Manager Sahiti has been fantastic and brings our areas of improvement back to Zenoti and we have seen real change occur. When working with other companies we have been told that nothing can be done or that they are 'working on it'. Very happy to partner with Zenoti for our success!

The software is very user friendly and the online interface is fantastic. With many customers preferring online booking to calling we have seen a great up-tick in online booking. They also included a text communication system for connecting with your clients as well as a robust email marketing suite.
Cons
They have a very complex system for inventory management that makes it hard as a single location to utilize it effectively. We understand why it is complex for chain purposes.

Zenoti; Zen-NOT-i; Zen? Not I!
Full access/no geofencing benefits: SO MANY! I actually ENJOYED Zenoti SaaS back then; before, **** hit the fan. Afterward, my experience with the SaaS, in particular it's customer service team members (I have email-paper trails/proof), and my post incident/accident experience up until today: Very poor. I wish that the employer's Corporate Authorities Would Switch AWAY from Zenoti. Then the 500 franchisees would be not Zenoti users anymore. I don't know what 500 out of 12-20k is to a company. Pennies on a dollar; six pence on a pound; or, pesos ... euros... monies WORLDLYnesses... galore!

Coming from Millenium, integration was easy almost exciting and anticipated highly ... It's very easy to use at first glance. The features (mostly security-based upon permission/user-access coding) are decent enough; if, they are set up at all. However, that's probably reflective on person-behind-the-access-granting-access and not the software itself. But when I contacted Zenoti in regards to software accessibility default vs. actual accessibility permissions granted to me and what happened to me inside the android version of the Zenoti application; Zenoti personel treated me exactly like my employer at the time. Complete Garbage. I was able to access everything from anywhere. Then, accidentally changed my user access level. I don't know how that's possible IF there had been ANY security settings in place. Basically, my best guess, is that there were none in place. The features (unlimited) I could access were AMAZING! It was a pleasure to use Zenoti software unhinged and unlimited. I could write client notes, view my schedule anytime from anywhere. After the accident, management put security finally in place after almost a year of business operations without them. And, then, my experience plummeted.
Cons
Limited access/user allowances are lame and useless. It takes forever to load on my android outside my cable/high speed internet wifi. It barely ever retains/remembers my user login data/information; and, constantly logs me out; and, I find myself re-logging in again, and again, and again. Daily! I cannot write my notes directly in the app; as, it stands, because it drags/lags over, and over, and over and over again. Zenoti is to be used/utilized on service provider's personal cellphones; but, because of lag and auto-unlogging; service providers find themselves checking the breakroom computer screen anyway, like before with previous software (mentioned above--in Pros). I have experienced the expressed complaints, concerns, and cares of clients' who feel that the display of their sensitive personal/health history data on service providers' personal devices to be breaches of their HIPPA rights/privacy/etc. I don't disagree. Security/access levels for users are not defined very well, if at all. It is very difficult to use for limited access-allowed users.
