An essential business management tool for rapidly changing orgnanizations

Pros

monday.com’s ability to create customized dashboards is absolutely critical for our rapidly changing system. For instance, we were able set up one for tracking bed occupancy rates which updates in real-time which increased our patient efficiency during flu-season by 40%. We also use Monday as our central hub for cross-departmental communication. Whether it’s coordinating patient transfers between wards or discussing staffing needs in our weekly 'Bagels and Budget' meetings, monday.com keeps everyone in sync.

Cons

Initially, our staff, especially those less tech-savvy, found the array of features a bit overwhelming. It took a series of seminars (which were assisted by monday staff) and training sessions to get everyone on board.
Additionally, in a sector where budgeting is as critical and is often the trade-off between one type of patient-care and another, the pricing tiers of monday.com can cause a bit of a gulp. We had to balance the benefits against our tight budget constraints.

Managing Projects for business

Easy to set up and use. User friendly, ability to create multiple boards and invite guests as need basis

Pros

Ability to create different boards and tag multiple users

Cons

So many features, we are probably not using them all to its full capacity.
Would like an easy way to get staff to use it more

Cons and Pros

The specific experience with it will vary depending on your needs, preferences, and usage patterns. But it was a waste of time for me.

Pros

It offers a high degree of customization and flexibility.

Cons

It is expensive, especially for larger teams or those who need access to all of the platform's features. Also reporting capabilities are not as robust as some other project management tools

Monday works wonders for project management in manufacturing

I'm very happy with the boost Monday's given us in managing our projects. We first bought it to set up shared boards for our projects, but very quickly expanded our use into shared documents, forms, notes, and more. I definitely recommend it if you need one source of truth for project management.

Pros

I like the sandbox environment it creates to boost collaboration. We have shared boards to monitor everyone's tasks, shared documents, forms, etc. When you need a new type of document or collaborative environment, chances are, Monday will already have it.

Cons

It's hard to start using it confidently in the beginning. I was a bit overwhelmed in the beginning by all the different modules available. It might be a bit frustrating to onboard to it if you can't spare a lot of time to learn it in the beginning

Fantastic Project Management Solution For Our Small Business

Monday's been a wonderful addition to our toolstack. We use it mainly for monitoring our tasks, but we're also using it pretty actively for forms and email marketing as well. It's a beautifully-designed product that small businesses can easily benefit from as well. It's also got good uptime and rarely causes issues that we have to find fixes for. I'm very happy with the benefits Monday's brought to our business. You can't go wrong with it for managing your projects and tasks, as well as a number of other things.

Pros

1. Monday's usage limits are high enugh for us to get the maximum benefit from it without having to go over our budget.

2. It's great to have so many different modules for all kinds of different things aside from PM, like forms, ideation, emails, etc.

3. The interface looks great and it's very easy to pick up even if you have no background in tools like this. We were able to pretty much pick it up and start using it confidently within a week or two.

Cons

Nothing in particular sticks out too much. We weren't able to natively connect it to all of our tools, and there's the minor bug here and there, but we're pretty happy with it overall.

Jira and Trello

Reasons for Choosing monday.com

Google Sheets is also pretty good for smaller operations, but we decided to move to a full-fledged project management software to boost our expansion process.

Reasons for Switching to monday.com

Trello looked way too simplistic for what we wanted, and Jira was very expensive for the scale that we were looking to use it, so we decided to go with Monday as it ticked all of our boxes without costing too much.
