easy to use...
see previous entry. most experiences have been positive. unexpected loss of accumulated points is almost deceitful.
Pros
from a consumer standpoint, very easy to use. tracks points flawlessly.
Cons
wasted points. when someone drops out of the program & you've been accumulating points towards a special reward, it is beyond frustrating when they drop the program without notice, leaving the consumer without recourse. providers should provide those with accumulated points sufficient notice to use their points (30 days) before the program is dropped from that location. Supercuts left my spouse & myself with enough points amassed for "free" services when they suddenly (and without notice) no longer had a terminal. when you usually get your hair cut every 6 weeks, notifying customers at the terminal would be pointless, advance notification to customers via email or app when a provider like Supercuts is about to drop, allows us enough time to utilize our points. we spent a lot of money getting to that reward level. we should have a chance to use them instead of having them disappear.

Debitoor for the freelancer who wants to keep up to date with their business
Debitoor is used by our one man business clients. We have found that they are able to see what is happening in their businesses from a financial perspective using this software. We then halp them with more detailed reporting and statutory reporting on a monthly basis.
Pros
Debitoor is great for our clients that run their own businesses as a one man show. They use it to send invoices to clients when onsite and when they are not onsite the software can tell you when your client has received and opened your invoice. This is great for small one man businesses as one can then immediately follow up on when payment will be made.
Cons
Debitoor does not allow for the full accounting function to be done on it, but it is a great tool for a one man business to have so they keep up to date with what is happening in the business as well as for simple cash flow and income statement reports .

Great product but can improve
Taking payments from various credit and debit cards. But we are seasonal so having a monthly fee was not cost effective. This product solved that issue.
Pros
Ease of use when it works. simple pricing structure.
Nice interface and like the ability to create shop items and groups.
Cons
Reporting in web interface is very limited. Sales and revenue reports need to be customisable. Items defined in the shop need to be reporting on as configured in their groups. Otherwise what is the point of having groups in the POS software/
Would be good if there was a web version that can integrate with online payment systems so that I only need to preocess reports from 1 system rather than 2
Blue tooth connecting is very flakey. Especially when pairing with another device. We have had lots of issues getting blue tooth connection to work and stay working.

Great Loyalty Program
Improved Loyalty program over the paper punch cards. Improved conversion and customer satisfaction. Saved time and frustration over lost paper cards and missing rewards.
Pros
The dashboard design is easy to use and customizable. The autopilot functions show the results in an easy to read format that makes it so nice in seeing what works and what doesn't.
Cons
For a while the customers name showed up on the admin page and you knew exactly who received the points. The latest updates removed the name from that screen - you can still look up the customer by clicking on the link, but its a step I wish they hadn't removed.

Good but not great
Been with Five Stars for a few years now. Just recently found out that if the customers don't "reply with Y,' they are not even getting our texts or emails. This was not always the case. I realize there is a law on the books now that requires this, but someone at Fivestars, should have reached out to us to alert us. I feel like the last year of sign ups, was a complete waste of time.
My scanner never works. I got tired of calling in all of the time to fix it or get a new one. Now, we don't offer the cards anymore since the scanner never works.
In the console it used to say, Text or Email. Now, it says, "Announcements or Promotions." I not sure who came up with that one. Text and email, is pretty cut and dry. Your retailers know exactly what those are and what they do. However, every time one of our stores goes to send something out, we have to back and look what Announcement is, and what Promotion is. Its like you are purposely trying to not be user friendly.
Pros
I used to like the data and it was easy to use.
Cons
The equipment and console.

SumUp, the best to sell and make money.
My experience was in the ads I saw on TV, and I decided to find out more, it was in 2018 that I saw that interest rates are low, starting with the excellent service for sale and after sales, delivery to my residence was fast, without any problem, and I have been using the device for 2 years and sales have grown since then, very good, well worth it.
Pros
I liked the software because you can earn good money on it by selling, usually people arrive at the store and have no money but she knows that there she accepts card machines the customer can buy, fast, practical and safe.
Cons
I never had any problem with SumUp, excellent service.

Usable for the entire company
I am self-employed and do all my corporate accounting (simple accounting) and tax reporting. My tax consultant checks my entries and uses them to prepare the annual balance sheet. I also fully automate the respective advance return for sales tax with Debitoor.
Pros
I like that with Debitoor you can basically do all the bookkeeping. This ranges from the recording of expenses and revenues to the calculation of company balance sheets and the advance return for sales tax. My tax advisor is fine with her own login and can export all data, etc. This is very convenient.
Cons
In some places it is a bit difficult to understand the interface. Sometimes it is not the system's fault but also the EU's bills. Sometimes you get confused with the taxes. The OCR scanning of expense receipts is not always correct for automatic recognition.

Excellent payment system to our shop
SumUp is our credit/debit card system and it allow our customers to pay with their cards. Excellent.
Pros
We have been using SumUp around two years now at our shop (fashion) for taking all card payments. Over 100 000,-/year has gone via SumUp and it has never failed us, not once. Easy to use (both shop and customer), all main payment cards, fast transactions which has never failed. Good reports.
Cons
There is nothing not to like so far. We haven't use invoicing, so we cannot say anything about that.

Makeover needed!
Pros
I like that you can earn rewards at local spots. It lets you know everytime you gain a point from signing in at businesses that are affiliated.
Cons
It's not very up to date, it could use some sprucing up. I wish it had more businesses on the app. You can't hit the back button, you have to hit the X. I wish it also had a list of all businesses that are involved in this program.

Great way to engage customers and get detailed behavior metrics
Overall great for consumers and very valuable data for the restaurants to understand the customer.
Pros
Fivestars is a quick way to setup a loyalty program if you don't already have one. You don't need to be the size of a chain store to provide one and this has better customer marketing than the traditional punch card / stamps. Set your loyalty reward (i.e. 10 trips = 1 free item) and start seeing the repeat business. It's very frictionless to setup and in most cases, the customer just needs to quickly key in their phone number to log a visit. The real key is understanding the pattern of customers and being able to tweak loyalty rewards to increase business. The mobile app is great for consumers to track their trips and points.
Cons
Pricing is subscription based, per month pricing. It's not inexpensive but they do provide the install kit. It may take some time at first to see real benefits if you are not aggressive with promotions.

Excellent Loyalty Rewards Program for Small Businesses
The pros: We are a large consignment clothing store and are fairly new to formal loyalty programs. The Fivestars program has been immensely popular and has definitely resulted in revenue increases. Out flash sales have transformed into buzz-worthy events where, before, they were hardly noticed. We strongly recommend Fivestars if you are looking into a rewards/loyalty program for your small biz. Retention has been very high as reward points/spiffs have become a valuable commodity for our shoppers.
Now for the (minor) cons: There does not seem to be much crossover between our business and others that use Fivestars based upon our anecdotal eveidence. I wish it was more of a local movement. Maybe one day it will be. Also, as far as the technical underpinnings, the API should be exposed to worthy customers (or those willing to pay a modest fee) so that they might integrate it with lesser-known point-of-sale platforms or databases; the company essentially refuses to do this, even though it would benefit both parties. Also, the tablets provided are nice but not without the difficulties associated with wi-fi enabled Android devices. Sometimes they go haywire and we are shut down inexplicably. Let's hope hardware improvements come. ( i'd bet Apple iPads, for instance, would probably provide a huge boost to the overall system reliability.)

Great but not the best
Very modern, to some people even futuristic. It delivers on all of its techological and connectivity promises. But clients don't trust it completely. They want to pay at a bulky payment terminal with a printer.
Pros
It honestly delivers on it's promises. The POS device is really lightweight and carrying it with you is no hustle at all. In comparison to the payment terminals that banks provide - this one is a jewel. You can have it in your purse at all time and only notice it when yu need it. With it's inbuilt internet connectivity it is really self relient and independant.
Cons
Not everyone trusts a paperless transaction. Yes you can email them the receipt and that is very modern. But when it comes to their money a lot of people are very conservative. I see a lot of people prefering to pay at a bulky POS terminal that they recognise. One that will print them a detailed report of what happened a the time of payment.

Amazing - would definitely recommend for all small and medium businesses.
Pros
The battery in the card reader lasts FOR AGES. The software is really easy to use and the ability to text or email receipts is good. The best bit is that it pays out the next day.
Cons
To be honest the only issue I’ve had it sometimes it is slow to connect to the cars scanner but other then that it’s great.

It's always great to receive an added bonus
Pros
The software is easy to use for customers. You just use your phone number and create an account. So many companies use them for added bonuses when you buy something using their membership. I've gotten discounts, free meals, and even gotten recommendations for new places because of Fivestar.
Cons
Honestly, I haven't had any issues with Fivestar at all as a customer. The only time I've gotten frustrated with it has been because the store or restaurant that uses Fivestar has had internet issues and I don't get my points.

1200 dolls s rip off
I was with this company for around a year, it didn’t work for me, the equipment was never working, always turning off by itself, I had only one tablet, they sent me another tablet to replace the first one, it didn’t worked for me, So i canceled, I didn’t had a contract at that time already, then, a month later I get hit with a 1200 hundred dollars, So I called to ask why , they told me I had 5!! Tablets!, wich was not true at all!! They didn’t wanted to to anything about their mistake!, they told me that’s what it was showing on their computer and that’s what it was, I had to call my bank to dispute the transaction!! I would never recommend this company to anyone!!
Pros
None, it wasn’t even working , i had it for like a year and it never worked properly, so I have no pros for this company, equipment

Five stars system review
My overall experience with Fivestar has been amazing. At Christmas I found myself going to stores I knew had Fivestar, so I could earn check-ins and points for my purchases. I now have a text from one of my favorite stores on their upcoming big sale, AND a $5 off that I can use on my next visit - just for shopping at a place I was going to most likely go to no matter what, but with this system they can have the reassurance I will be back :) It’s a win win in my book. Great idea, and all businesses should have a Fivestar machine at checkout.
Pros
I love that I can go into one of my favorite stores, be able to type my phone number in, and earn points for shopping at a place I was going to anyways. Earning points and check-ins that reward me in time with money will make anyone smile.
Cons
I honestly can’t say I have found anything wrong so far with this software itself. I do wish sometimes I would be reminded to make sure I put my phone number in by the store clerk themselves, but that is in no way the fault of the Fivestar service system.

Good app, but sometimes difficult to find deals
Overall it's a good app, but it would be better to have some way to remember and know when to use your five stars account at a place. Lots of the time I've only noticed places take five stars after I've already paid.
Pros
I love these rewards programs and it's really fast and easy to accumulate points quite fast to get a free or discounted item.
Cons
It's hard to remember which places use five stars and in the app it's annoying to have to press the bubble again to get out of the business rather than just pressing out (it won't let you).

Pros
What I LOVE most about this is how easy it is to use. Whenever I am checking out at the store I use fivestars with all I have to do is type in my phone number and boom instant discount from the rewards program.

Deals made convenient
Pros
It's always fun walking into an establishment and seeing the FiveStar console, knowing that I am either going to see a new deal and save money, or I am going to contribute to a future deal. I even like the encouragement it gives me to try something new when, say, the deal is "free dessert" and I've never had the dessert at that cafe before! The whole system in general is a really great way to buy and consume products with a little more mental comfort about my wallet and a little more excitement about the fun deals and discounts I'm about to receive!
Cons
My least favorite thing is that the cashier and I see two different screens. I'll see a deal and sometimes they don't acknowledge it and finish my order before I can add it, or add a deal before I've confirmed I want to use it. This mostly depends on the cashier and not the software itself, but it can be frustrating trying to communicate to cashiers that aren't present or listening to my desires when it comes to using my FiveStar points!

It is an excellent software!!
I've a small photographic company that is emerging and I'm looking for the right tools to accompany it in its growth. Having an administrator of invoices, forms and budgets, expenses that also allows me to have a register of clients and products is something that would do well to my company, so I am evaluating the purchase of this service. I think it offers many benefits and at a good price.
Pros
The interface is intuitive and it's very friendly. It's easy to use, everything is very organized. Immediately after placing the country in which I reside, the exact amount of the tax charged in the country is placed. You can modify the templates of the emails that customers will receive with the invoice data. It allows to have a client registry, saves predetermined messages. It allows to take an expense management. . I can have a list of products The truth is that I like it a lot. I'm looking at the trial version and it's convincing me to have it in my business. The prices are quite accessible and from what I see you can easily climb if you have a small company like mine.
Cons
So far everything I've seen and tried from the software I really like, including the price since it's very accessible.

loyalty, simple
Sending messages to customers to inform them our new promotion, which greatly attracts customers coming back and keep updated with the deals.
Pros
Basically, it works as a loyalty program and at the same time, it offers the function of sending out the message to customers (who joined the FiveStar loyalty program). So we can directly send out the promotion info/deals to the customers and it's no limit of the messages' numbers under the subscription plan. Customers can check their fivestar point and receive the updates from different stores via the fivestar app.
Cons
You are not only paying per month for the subscription plan but also paying extra for every customer FiveStar help you attract them back to your store. Plus, the app and the software sometimes will down due to the technical issue, for example, the free drink voucher cannot be redeemed via the platform.

A Great Way to Keep Customers Coming Back
Overall, the pros significantly outweigh the cons with FiveStars. Its ease of access for both the customers and the employees, and the increase to customer retention 100% make it worth it to install in ANY small business.
Pros
FiveStars tracks important data, such as customer points, their last day in the store, their first day in the store, PLUS you can add your own notes (for instance, if you know a customer is a "problem customer", that can be noted for any employees). It's super easy for the customers to use, too. All they have to do is type in their number, and they're done on their end.
Cons
With FiveStars, you can set up automatic discounts and coupons for customers to receive. This is great, until the customers notice that they receive them regularly after not returning for X amount of days. It can be easily abused by the customers to consistently get free discounts by just waiting a little longer to come in.

Not Quite Sure How to Obtain My Rewards?
I have used Fivestars rewards as a customer at many dining establishments.
Pros
I have been prompted to sign up for Fivestars rewards whenever I visit certain retail businesses, such as cafes and bakeries. It is very easy to sign up, I think you simply enter your phone number, and it's very high tech if the venue has it set up properly.
Cons
Though its' easy to sign up for Fivestars rewards, I think I've only managed to obtain a discount or reward once or twice. I'm not sure how you track your usage or what offers are available to you. I know that they text you to enroll you into their updates, but the updates aren't very frequent, and I'm wondering if there's a way to sign up for an account online with your phone number so it's more practical to keep track of the rewards coming to you?

Overall, I would recommend this customer loyalty program. A large portion of my customers use it and I see them coming back for more.

Five Stars is great for discounts
I really like that software and ease of use with it, but I can't stand their customer support. I'll be contacted by 3 or 4 people in one week about an issue that one person can handle. They don't seem to have a lot of communication between team members, as well as not being able to just solve simple issues without making a big deal out of it.
Pros
I like that this system integrates with the POS that we already use. This helps a lot when training new employees as it's somewhat simplified. I also do like that I can send out messages whenever I choose to notify our customers of sales/promotions we may be running.
Cons
I don't like that they automatically send texts to our customers to get them back in the store within 30, 60, or 90 days. I don't want my customers to be too overwhelmed with texts from this system.

Overall I enjoy their loyalty programs for free drinks or discounts. It's really easy to use since it's connected to your phone number and keeps track of points for you. I hope more establishments adopt Five Stars. I also like how they email me discount when I haven't been to an establishment in awhile.
Pros
I like the ease of knowing about offers or loyalty programs in my current vicinity. The map is good for an overview of all the participating retails and restaurants. Sometimes you get discounts like $5 OFF or free entree or something. so basically you get like 6-8% back on your actual spend depending on store but since the store owners don't know how to credit it so it's mostly like 1-3% back on your actual spend at store Which is still better than getting back anything but I would suggest they need a better message and training to actually make it work.
Cons
Most store owners cashier don't know how to credit points. Confusing App and Confusing in-store experience. Store Kiosk logs out in 4-5 seconds if you press skip. Most people don't know how to use it and very frustrating experience.

Not much for the money
Nice people. Very helpful. Good support. Decent training. Not everyone can teach.
Pros
It's easy to use and our customers like the system. They enjoy knowing they are getting a reward for being loyal to us.
Cons
Too expensive for what we are getting out of it. The only reason we keep it is because customers expect a rewards program everywhere they go. They requested it, so we got it. They like it and feel like they are getting something back for being loyal to us. It is really an expense we wish we didn't have. The only thing we do with it is keep up with the points for rewards. Can't afford any other services out of it. We're a small mom and pop. Maybe is better for larger companies with more profit margins.

Customer impact has been amazing
I would highly recommend using this product for promotional/marketing campaigns, notices, and general communication.
Pros
Fivestars makes contacting, promoting, and engaging our customers extremely easy. We send out weekly promotional emails to clients through their messaging platform and we have proved out noticeable engagement increases for our key clients and target markets.
Cons
The only con I can really think of is that sometimes trying to contact customer/user support can be difficult when issues or bugs arise. I have only come across a few negligible bugs, so not a huge deal, but it would be great if they built our a support chat bot function to address these concerns.

Easy to use rewards software
Overall, I love the Fivestars loyalty program and would urge anyone to sign up for it.
Pros
I love Fivestars because it allows me to track and use rewards at all of my favorite retailers. They provide great rewards through na easy to use software.
Cons
A lot of the retailer I frequent are not enrolled in the Fivestar program. I wish it could be used at more retailers.

Fivestars brings loyalty programs to all restaurants
Fivestars allows for enhanced customer experience through customizable loyalty programs.
Pros
For the business owner (not just restaurants), this enables you to incentivize repeat customers without having to set up your own program. The most valuable part of Fivestars is the data that they provide regarding customer visits and spending patterns. It's definitely worth it to provide a discount or free item in exchange for all the repeat business. Fivestars will provide a tablet with an app and you can go ahead and custom the type of deals you want to offer.
Cons
Fivestars relies on the customer providing a telephone number as their UUID. This is quite the security risk and also isn't the best customer experience. They finally have a mobile app now but it's mainly for checking progress and points. It would be best if they setup some type of NFC so that you can just tap to check-in.

Amazed
I know the price is a little more then I wanted to pay but I look at it like this. If I didn't have this then I would have to hire to someone to do data entry and that would cost me more and if I done it then I would be behind in my daily work. So, I'll stick with this.
Pros
Love the time and money saved. Very easy to set up and user friendly. It has brought in more customers and loyalty customers for me.
Cons
Only had a few but nothing that really hurt my business but mainly had a problem getting through to customer support. It wasn't nothing major, just needed to get reassurance.

Best rewards program out there
Pros
Rewards programs are an ingenious marketing tool and I think no one does it better than FiveStars. The way users can conveniently "check-in" with their phone number, receive text messages with new offers from FiveStars and earn rewards with points. I really like how mostly local, small business are have offers from FiveStars. It makes it even easier to support them over the large corporate chains, which I enjoy doing.
Cons
My only gripe is losing points due to businesses that switch to a new rewards program or those who have gone out of business, I wish there was a way FiveStars would convert points in these scenarios, so that I don't feel like my loyalty to a certain establishment was for nothing.
