Low Cost RMM with Great Value

We transitioned from Labtech automate to pulseway and it's been remarkably simple to switch. The cost savings and what I find to be superior scripting automation has made pulseway my favorite RMM to date.

Pros

Cost
Ability to Deploy from local servers
Remote Powershell/Command Prompt is a life saver
The scheduled execution of Powershell/Batch Scripts
Easily control windows updates

Cons

No remote access for Mac OS
The biggest con is that functions are split between the web interface, the Pulseway Remote Desktop app, and the Pulseway dashboard app, for example, you can only chat a user from the web interface and not directly from the remote desktop application, or you can only configure the customers pulseway monitor configuration from the Dashboard application.

Pulseway provides an exceptional suite of services and support.

Pulseway has become an integral and indispensable part of our company's infrastructure. Pulseway provides rock solid solutions that are well supported and continuously improved upon. We are very satisfied with the services and support we receive.

Pros

Pulseway seamlessly integrates their RMM and PSA solutions, allowing me to better track and invoice my time without any additional overhead. Pulseway's RMM has a wide variety of indispensable scripting and management tools which they are regularly enhancing and adding to. Most importantly, Pulseway has exceptional customer service. Our account manager James Norris is outstanding. James really goes the extra mile to make sure we have everything we need from assistance with sales of services, onboarding, and obtaining product support.

Cons

There is definitely a learning curve associated with the more powerful aspects of the RMM and PSA, fortunately Pulseway is very responsive to questions and provides guidance to ensure we get the most out of our services potential.

Reasons for Choosing Pulseway

We had been using GoToAssist corporate for many years, however when LogMeIn bought it Citrix, there were many feature and licensing issues that made it unsuitable for our needs.

Great service so far.

Great so far. [sensitive content hidden], my account manager, is very responsive anytime I have questions. I have to say that I am only using maybe 25 percent of what it is capable of, but for that it is working great.

Pros

The cost for what you are getting. For a few dollars a month per workstation you get complete monitoring and remote access.

Cons

It doesn't support monitoring iOS devices yet though I believe they are working on that and you can still use their app on your iPad or iPhone to monitor other systems (Mac, Windows or Linux).

Response from MMSOFT Design

Hey David,

Thanks for the review, glad to hear you're enjoying it and your Account Manager is helping you make the most of the platform.

Pulseway RMM Review: User-Friendly, Powerful, and Feature-Rich

I've been using Pulseway RMM for a couple of years now, and I can confidently say Pulseway RMM is a game-changer when it comes to remote monitoring and management. The mobile app is for me its standout feature, allowing me to monitor and manage systems administratively from anywhere with just a few taps – super convenient for on-the-go tasks! Its intuitive user interface makes it incredibly easy to navigate, even for less experienced users. I also love the seamless Bitdefender GravityZone integration, which provides solid endpoint detection and response protection without lengthy tuning at a price I couldn't turn down. However, not including graphical remote desktop control for Linux systems is a huge missed opportunity that I hope the Pulseway RMM team will remedy. Overall, Pulseway RMM has greatly streamlined our IT management, transforming our productivity. Highly recommended!

Pros

- Ease of use / Intuitive UI
- Powerful, feature rich mobile app
- Integration with Bitdefender GravityZone EDR

Cons

Lack of graphical remote desktop control for Linux systems

Pulseway: A Remote Management Breeze

The overall experience has always been wonderful. I know a lot of people give bad reviews and experience regarding Kaseya with contract locks etc. As anyone would naturally would not like to be bound by contract, its their way of doing business and I respect that as they want to retain long term serious customers.
I have always have a great experience talking to support and sales and they always understood my needs and were always ready for a quick call for better understanding my requirements, which is saying something in terms of support.
A major shoutout to all my previous account managers and my current one [sensitive content hidden]. I have always loved our conversation, where you simply don't make it seem like a sales call rather a meaningful conversation.

Pros

The Mobile App is years ahead of its time and I have been using Pulseway for almost 10 years. Their Support and Sales team are patient and great. Most things get resolved instantly and they listen to feedback and always have new fixes and feature ready at bay.

Cons

Occasional cohesiveness between the webapp and mobile app. There are some rare instances that the Web App and the Mobile App function differently, whereas as an avid software user, the general stance is that there would generally be the the same experience across web and mobile.
The mobile app has not been updated in terms of excessive functionality as well as looks as it still holds the same look and feel and most of the functionality from years ago. That being said, even those functionalities are ahead of its time when they were release, I hope they improve their mobile app whilst they are already improving their web app as I believe their mobile app sets them apart from other competitors. The ability to restart a PC or check its logs while being away and remote itself is nuff said. Improved notifications is also another aspect I would like to add.

Reasons for Switching to Pulseway

Mobile App, constant improvements to the product and service and great support!

Chief Operations Officer

This remote monitoring and management (RMM) solution stands out as a highly robust and efficient tool for IT professionals. Designed to operate seamlessly once configured, it provides an impressive "set it and forget it" approach to managing IT infrastructure. The system runs reliably in the background, allowing businesses to focus on their core operations without the need for constant supervision.

What makes this solution particularly powerful is its extensive feature set. It offers everything from real-time monitoring and automation to patch management and remote access, ensuring that every aspect of IT management is covered. Additionally, expert support is readily available to help with setup and customization, ensuring that the system is optimized for each user’s unique environment.

Overall, this RMM platform delivers a professional-grade solution that ensures operational efficiency and peace of mind, making it an excellent choice for any organization seeking a dependable IT management tool.

Pros

I really like this RMM solution because it allows me to set everything up once and then not worry about it. Its robust feature set covers all my needs without the need for constant oversight, which saves me a lot of time. Plus, the expert support available makes it easy to configure and optimize, ensuring that everything runs smoothly. The combination of reliability and minimal maintenance is exactly what I value in IT management tools.

Cons

I have very little to criticize about this system, except for the mobile app, which occasionally forgets that I’m logged in. It’s a minor inconvenience, but overall it doesn’t take away from the system's otherwise exceptional performance and reliability.

A good RMM tool at a good price

Overall it has been a good platform to use. It offers very helpful tools at a very good price. While I have my complaints about them, they are willing to listen and improve as I have had previous complaints that have been resolved.

Pros

I like that the platform is constantly improving and adding new features. They are fairly open to criticism and following through on feedback and requests.

Cons

I am not a fan of the lack of certain features on the web app that their mobile app has such as installing apps and running workflows both ad hoc. There is also a lack of dark mode on the web app. My biggest gripe though is their documentation. It feels incomplete and can be tricky finding information on a certain feature.

MSP drone to Stand alone Head of IT

[sensitive content hidden] has been great, she has been very helpful with understanding how to do certain things inside of the RMM, and i'm sure i'm not using it to it's full potential but i'm sure i'll get there eventually.

Using the software is nice, the interface could be a bit better but it's usable and gets the job done.

Pros

I love that Pulseway is mobile first in design. I have used other RMM's like n-able (formally solarwinds) and their interface left a lot to be desired.

I can be at home and monitoring my network from my phone instead of being at my computer.

Cons

It seems Documentation is lacking. While other RMM's have step by step tutorials hosted on their sites or youtube, trying to find information on how to do various things is lacking.

My Support person [sensitive content hidden] is amazing, but I am the type of IT person who likes to dive into the deep end when it comes to learning software and tools that I have at my disposal, so I hate having to send her emails on how to do stuff, and when I have to send her a question she is nothing but helpful in this.

The other thing I don't like is the up selling of other services offered by Pulseway\Kasaya, Let me know about it and let me decide if it's something i'm willing to bring to the partners attention, but that's not something that's inheritant to pulseway.

Systems manager

Overall, Pulseway has been an integral part of my management of 300 endpoints, providing a feature-rich platform that saves time and ensures operations run smoothly. Its consistent development and adaptability make it a reliable choice for businesses that prioritize cybersecurity and need robust automation features.

Despite the remote control limitations, Pulseway has proven itself invaluable for my IT operations. If you're looking for an RMM solution that continues to evolve, values customer feedback, and excels in areas like patch management, Pulseway is an excellent choice. The dedication to improvement and community-driven development sets it apart in the RMM landscape.

The only reason I'm not giving a 10/10 is due to the remote control experience. If that gets resolved, it would be a perfect score.

Finally, I've been a customer for two years and am currently in a new 36-month agreement, if that provides some context.

Pros

Pulseway is truly a fantastic Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) product, and I strongly believe it stands at the top of its class. One of its greatest strengths is the constant development and improvement. The rate at which they are introducing new features and enhancing the product is impressive—comparing the Pulseway of this year to last year is like comparing night and day.

Another standout feature is their patch management automation. In an era where Cyber Essentials certification is crucial for many businesses, Pulseway offers the strongest patch management system in the market. The automation capabilities streamline updates and reduce manual intervention, making it a vital tool for keeping systems secure and compliant.

Their openness to community feedback is refreshing. You can request features, and the developers genuinely listen to user suggestions!! This level of responsiveness shows that they value their customers and are committed to improving based on real-world use cases. A must in my opinion.

Cons

While Pulseway excels in many areas, the one significant drawback is the remote control experience. Having switched from Splashtop, I’ve found it quite challenging to adjust, as Splashtop offers a superior user experience in terms of stability and usability.

One specific issue is with multi-screen support. Pulseway’s current implementation of multiple monitor support is subpar, forcing all remote monitors into a single screen. This setup is awkward and hampers productivity. It would be far more practical if they allowed each monitor to open as a separate window, similar to how Splashtop handles it. The ability to remote into multiple devices and full screen each one across different monitors is also something I miss dearly. Currently, Pulseway only allows full screening of one remote session on the default monitor, which feels quite limiting. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the remote control experience.

A user of pulseway to 10+ years

I have been using Pulseway for over 10 years, and overall, it has been a great experience. The product continually evolves, and the new features are always relevant. The pricing is reasonable, making it affordable for small and medium-sized businesses like ours while still providing great value. Keep up the excellent work, team!

Pros

Managing servers and desktops remotely allows me to deliver an excellent end-user experience from our IT team. The Windows and third-party patching module has significantly minimized the time I spend keeping servers and desktops updated, all while maintaining oversight of the deployments.

Cons

The remote control feature requires improvement to match the reliability of TeamViewer and currently lacks a centralized management screen for seamless connections. Additionally, the marketing team appears disconnected from the client database, leading to emails promoting products that I have already subscribed to.

Powerful RMM software

Overall happy with Pulseway it does everything we need it to do, deploy anti-virus software, patch management etc.. It is really handy having the ability to run Powershell scripts without disturbing the end user. Sometimes I have been able to resolve issues without even remoting in by just running a PS script in the background.

I'll be interested to try out the Android MDM once it's implemented, currently only works for Apple

Pros

It's easy to use and just works, I have had minimal issues and where there has been issues support has been responsive in resolving the issues.

Cons

Sometimes the remote-control software bugs out/clunky but it has gotten better in some aspects since we've been using Pulseway e.g. It now re-connects to a computer without having to start a new remote session

Powerful and Mobile friendly

I am very happy with Pulseway, it's easy to use & very powerful. Whether I am in the office on my laptop, or on the road with my mobile phone, I know Pulseway will keep me informed of any serious errors and alerts. I can diagnose problems on the fly with Pulseway, I can remedy problems using Pulseway, and I have a number of Automations setup with help with my daily tasks.

I'm so pleased with Pulseway, I have begun overhauling my software stack to include additional products from the Pulseway family (eg I've migrated from Veeam/Backup Exec to Unitrends Appliances. I've migrated from Sophos, to Datto EDR/AV. I've rolled out Bullphish for our staff. etc). Having a single single vendor with a large ecosystem of very solid products is great.

I really enjoy how all of the Pulseway products

Pros

I like how Pulseway is constantly being developed with new features and improvements. Every product update brings something new to the platform, which is great to see.

Cons

I would like to see more product documentation, and downloadable examples of Pulseway automations/scripts.

Pulseway is a great RMM for any size organization

When leaving our MSP, I needed a solution that would give me the same remote monitoring and access they had. I'm a consumer of Linus Media Group content and I have seen them advertise Pulseway numerous times, so I reached out to Pulseway and I've been happy ever since.

Pros

The cost of Pulseway really seems to be unbeatable. Pulseway also has a robust feature set for the price.

Cons

If I had to pick a con, it would be that they add features faster than they can document them for use. Ah, I just thought of something else. I absolutely detest Kaseya and the increasing integrations that Pulseway has with them gives me some reason for concern.

Excellent product with great customer service

From the onboarding on day 1 it has been a really positive experience with good support and backed by excellent customer service and constant improvements to the platform. The endpoint client is simple to setup, the web client is easy to use and allows a lot of fine-grained control and it also provides a lot of peace of mind.

Pros

Pulseway has given us a really big boost to visibility and issues on our network as well as the power to control both Windows and 3rd party software issues. They also integrate a wide range of products and services which gives us a broad marketplace to choose new IT services from and have them integrate directly into the management platform.

Cons

Being entirely cloud-based there's a bit of a limit to the usefulness of it as an internal diagnostic tool. Although it's capable of a huge amount it's no help when the internet goes out for example.

Best RMM for small MSP's

For a small MSP like me it offers everything i need to monitor and remotely support the systems i manage. The mobile app is definitly a huge factor. Also my account manager is regularly in touch which is nice (this was not alwas the case). The lack of integrations will make it more difficultto manage if the amount of systems grow but then again pricing is very fair, and did i mention they have a mobile app to manage your systems?

Pros

Pulseway makes it possible for me to monitor systems on the go. With the app I can preform most of the basic troubleshooting steps, even remote into the system. With the 3PP add-on i can update the OS and 3PP apps. For a small MSP like me its more then sufficient. I have tried Datto this year but renewed my contract with Pulseway in end.

Cons

You have less posibilities then a solution like Datto and support is not always as good as it should be. I also use Pulseway PSA which is a great tool but there are not a lot of 3rd party vendors that have integrations with Pulseway. Also the need for having a contract for everything is a bit annoying. I get it for backup, PSA and RMM but when i want to get a couple of SAT licenses contracts are a bit of a hassle.

No better company than Pulseway

My experience with Pulseway has been nothing less than awesome! The team at Pulseway has been quick and helpful if we do experience an issue. I feel the Pulseway team understands the importance their role plays in the daily success.

Pros

We currently use PSA, RMM, and IT Glue through Pulseway. The most helpful feature is that all three applications integrate into each other, Azure and on-prem Active Directory. These products are easy to use and navigate once everything has been set up. We use all three of these systems daily, and the RMM mobile application helps us keep tabs on the systems when we are not in the office. The few times we've had to reach out to support, we received fast and helpful responses and solutions usually within a day.

Cons

It's tough to identify a downside of Pulseway. If I had to be picky, it would be that we cannot do everything in the mobile application that we can do with the web version of RMM. I understand it's tougher to fit all those features into the mobile application but if I HAD to choose something to make better.

A robust RMM solution that deserves your attention.

Overall, I've been very happy and at ease using Pulseway's platform. The fantastic UI and app support are great for IT workers who are on the go and can't always sit down at a workstation. Over time, I have seen small improvements that make things easier every year. For instance, the new device management page, where you can run a script or workflow on a single workstation rather than manually creating a new scope beforehand, is very handy. From my calls with my Pulseway manager and the various webinars explaining different integrations and features, I'm happy to see that the Pulseway team continues to innovate and improve the platform.

Pros

The platform is very accessible for SMBs to set up and use. I have only had to call support a handful of times for help over the years I've used the platform. The UI and mobile support are fantastic. When I first started, I had trouble getting quotes from other RMMs because of my low user count. I am truly thankful to Pulseway for making things easy for me. The pricing is very competitive from what I've seen, and this is also appreciated. As someone with a multi-faceted role where I can't spend all my time working solely on security, I appreciate the ease of use and polish that Pulseway brings. Pulseway's support personnel who conduct quarterly or annual calls, along with their general support, are fantastic and very knowledgeable about the product.

Cons

Pulseway, like any good RMM, comes with full PowerShell access to a single workstation or the entire fleet of workstations through a script or workflow. I wish they had more ready-to-use scripting templates for advanced IT tasks. I have noticed that they have released some nice reporting and script templates since I last checked. Their integrated remote desktop solution for accessing user machines could use some more polish. Additionally, I wish there were more dashboard templates to show other metrics.

Alternatives Considered

Reasons for Switching to Pulseway

At the beginning my user count was lower, some RMM's minimum was 50 seats. Other solutions were harder to use or had a weak point that I couldn't get past.

Pros

The ability to easily keep track of all of my customers computers and get alerts when there is a problem so I can be proactive in their support as well as Remote Desktop Access which works pretty good for both Windows and MacOS machines.

Cons

Pulseway is one of the best companies we have worked with

We wholeheartedly attribute a significant portion of our success to Pulseway and James Norris. Their comprehensive solutions, combined with exceptional support and guidance, have been transformative for our business. We are confident that our partnership with Pulseway has equipped us with the tools and resources necessary to thrive for years to come. Pulseway has not only met but exceeded our expectations, and we are genuinely excited about the future of our collaboration.

Pros

Pulseway, under the guidance of our dedicated Account Manager, James Norris, has been instrumental in our company's remarkable growth. Thanks to their solutions, we've seen a nearly $100,000 increase in new revenue in less than 6 months, a testament to their effectiveness. James consistently goes above and beyond, always available to answer calls and emails, ensuring we receive the support we need, when we need it. Their competitive pricing on services has been a significant advantage for us, allowing us to maximize our budget. Moreover, the consulting advice we've received from Pulseway has been invaluable in navigating the daily challenges faced by MSPs.

Cons

While our overall experience with Pulseway has been overwhelmingly positive, there have been occasional hiccups with integrating some of their solutions with other platforms commonly used by MSPs. However, these instances have been relatively minor and haven't significantly impacted our operations.

Review - Pulseway Signa Group

Overall, very happy thus far. working pretty well. We're able to monitor systems remote at any time. We're able to pull device info, set policies, run scripts, etc.

Pros

The Web UI Dashboard is very user-friendly, probably the most user-friendly system I have worked on in a long time...

Cons

We rely a lot on the Remote Control system to remote through so our users in remote sites. For a while we have been struggling with the lag when connecting, This was purely as a result of the Remote control server connection which gave us a very high ping. Fortunately, recently Pulseway has setup a relay server locally which should hopefully reduce the lag, therefore the ping times should drop, which should improve the connections.

Another issue, we have a Bitdefender license for all our systems, currently have an issue where Pulseway does not correctly reflect that Bitdefender has been loaded on a system, but BitDefender does show that the system is running Bitdefender(Status: Install Failed). Hopefully you guys can take the feedback and look at that for us to make sure the sync is successful all around...

I wish all my account manager's were as quick to respond and attentive to my needs/requests as he is.

Pros

Ease of use. Cell phone app, hands down, is the best one we have seen. The phone app and web app work the same, so there is truly no difference. Very quick to respond to a support issue.

Pulseway tool to make IT easy

We have only the best experience with pulseway and we are always learning new things. It really is a multifunctional tool that makes our work very easy.

Pros

We use Pulseway for monitoring and remote server management. My favourite thing is that I can control the servers from my phone and in case of any problem I am informed right away and I can sort everything out before the client even notices that there is a problem. Pulseway is a great help and I couldn't imagine working without it.

Cons

In fact this is the last change where the Pulseway app from the Microsoft store, so it stopped having some basic features like the ability to restart servers, install updates etc... I really enjoyed using the app, and I understand that as part of the progression it's moved to a web interface. But the slowdowns bother me, having to log in, enter 2FAs and such.. But still, it's a great help.

Does exactly what I need for my small business.

Overall Pulseway has done exactly what we wanted, by providing a professional system for monitoring and managing our IT systems remotely. As I run a small business I don't have the time to individually check machines, so the peace of mind knowing that I will be alerted of a problem is great. Automation is also a great benefit.

Pros

Pulseway allows us to easily manage our IT systems whether they are out on deployment or based in our office. The integration with Slack allows notifications to easily be sent to groups of people highlighting to us potential issues before they become more severe and cause downtime. The iOS app is also very handy, allowing me to see the status of any computers on the go.
Knowing that Pulseway can grow with the business provides nice peace of mind as I don't feel like I'm investing in a system that I will some day have to replace.
The integration of BitDefender has been a great help too.

Cons

I'm not an IT engineer or expert in IT management so I found that there was a fairly steep learning curve. I'm more knowledgeable than the average person but kept getting stuck navigating the web portal, especially at the start. The menu system isn't as intuitive as it should be in my opinion. I think there should either be a "simplified mode" for people who just want to get started with organising their IT systems but don't need all the advanced features.
Another note is that I find the difference in features available for managing Windows vs Mac clients to be disappointing. For example, you can't automatically install BitDefender via Pulseway on a Mac you have to go into the BitDefender client.

Pulseway For the Win

My overall experience with Pulseway has been very positive. It ticks all the boxes we need as an IT department, and it does so at a fraction of the cost of its competitors.

Pros

The user-friendly design of Pulse Way makes it incredibly easy to use, I also appreciate how Pulseway simplifies patching and automates installations, making it a seamless process.

Cons

The thing I like least is having to navigate between two different websites—one for RMM and another for the helpdesk. PSA and RMM should be better integrated.
