Dovetail can be used as an integration layer to connect one or more applications with each other. Dovetail can take the data from application, translate and map it to another application, or multiple applications.

When renewing (parts of) your application landscape you can utilise Dovetail to ensure the data from and old application remain available in applications in your day-to-day processes. Giving you time to take your renewals step by step, without interfering your business processes. 

Dovetail is a no code/low code application. You build your flows on a visual canvas via the drag \& drop interface. The library of components you use to do this, is filled with opinionated components that only require your specific additional information to enable them to form the flow. Every component has a notes tab, by entering what you did with the component there, your flows are transferrable and easy to maintain. 

On our Academy website you can find elaborate information on all the different components and their function. We also have several guides and best practices on there for how to build sustainable integration flows.

The art of application integration is not just building the so-called 'happy flow' but also ensuring that when the integration fails, you have the right information to resolve that. We therefore apply Error Route monitoring and Flow Function monitoring. There alternative routes of a flow will gather information and alert us when something does not go as expected. Even though you can not the behaviour of the end points in the integration, by using ERM and FFM you can rest asure that you know whats happening.
