Verizon Connect - Worth It!
Verizon Connect is great because it really offers sensible solutions as well as ones that matter most such as real time tracking and safety enhancements.
Pros
The fleet monitoring was excellent and combined with its other features such as environmental protocols, and asset tracking.
Cons
I felt that the Workplan software had issues but they usually were resolved fairly quickly. It could be a hinderance for some.

Verizon Connect ELD, GPS Tracking, Dispatch System.
Verizon Connect is a ok ELD, GPS Tracking, and Dispatch system. The price after your promotional rate is great. But once you are out of your promotional rate the product is over priced for what is offered compared to other platforms. The key is customer service and the tech support is not good, they are not fast to fix or correct issues within there system or products.
Pros
The platform is easy to use, user friendly, easy to set up.
Cons
The customer support, tech support is not the best and they are not in a hurry to fix issues once there is a tech issue or issue within the system. There system has a lag in the GPS tracking system.

Do Your Homework Before Signing
The product itself wasn't too bad, but dealing with the support team was a nightmare most times. Our "dedicated" account manager, wasn't so dedicated to our account. I had to go back and forth with issues with them over the course of 5 months.
Pros
The layout of the Portal is the most user friendly portal I've ever used. Everything is so accessible and organized.
Cons
Customer Service. When something goes wrong, they take an eternity to respond, and sometimes, they will close your trouble ticket before they remedy the situation.

20 year old technology with no option to cancel
Buyer beware! Don't buy unless you want to be locked into a contract with a product that will receive zero enhancements.
Pros
There really isn't anything good about verizon connect / reveal.
Cons
Terrible experience. You're locked into a 3 year agreement with no option for cancellation, other than buyout of the entire contract. The website for office login is horrendous and hasn't been updated since 2014. The mobile app is even worse.

Losing all faith with Verizon
Ok to setup and mostly works once complete, but support and making changes or alterations after the fact are not pleasant experiences.
Pros
It was fairly easy to use and get things set up.
Cons
Dealing with their support in chat and phone format is very unpleasant. Reaching the right and knowledgable people is either difficult, or a gamble.

Decent Product - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
The website interface is good, but the sales and customer service is so terrible we couldn't even BUY new devices when we added new trucks. I literally had to cancel our service because we couldn't even spend more money with them,
Pros
The app and website is user friendly. Initially when we signed on with them it was owned by Fleetmatics USA. That team was great. Verizon bought it and destroyed it.
Cons
Customer service made it virtually IMPOSSIBLE to buy new devices, and continue using the product. 100% of customer service is outsourced, WHICH IS FINE IF THEY DID THEIR JOB.
Verizon connect failed to honor the terms of the contract and forced us to pay an early termination fee even though the defaulted on their contract.

Beyond Disappointed
Beyond disappointed. Want to be released from contract.
Pros
This software looks good. I thought that I would be dealing with a legit company since they are associated with Verizon and that not the case.
Cons
The product was sold to us as easy self-installation. Plug and play kind of system. The equipment arrived unorganized and poorly labeled. It is not able to be plugged into our dump truck without having the entire dash taken apart. There is no customer service. It is outsourced and they read from a screen. They will not answer my questions about who the local technicians are. They will only schedule an appointment and charge us for it - which was never mentioned during the sales process. We haven't even been able to use the product yet bc of the poor installation instructions which then forces you into having to pay for tech appts. It's bait and switch. Fraud. I am sure they won't let me out of my contract and send this junk equipment back. Do not use Verizon Connect. Verizon should disassociate themselves with such a fraudulent company.

Cost me 15k over 3 years just to cancel
Worst company I have ever had to deal with. Would not have signed up if the previous company had not been purchased by Verizon.
Pros
Terrible scam company that purchased the previous GPS company
Cons
Tried to cancel the service for 3 years, would just send out an early cancelation fee we had to pay before they canceled. Would not let us set the account to non renewal, would not tell us when our renewal dates were. Cancelation requests would not be responded to until after the renewal dates which we found out after the fact

Decent Mid Tier Tracking System
If you're not looking to invenst a ton of money and get a basic tracking system, this will work just fine. If you're looking for a system to help improve upon your fleet management and cost effectiveness, I would recommend a more integrated and in depth platform.
Pros

VERYY DISSAPOINTED IN SALES
Very shocked by the neglective behaviour of sales peolpe and customer service when you ask for contracts and when you want to cancel.
Pros
The product overal is good. The product usability is ok
Cons
The product overal is good. But the sales department is very tricky. A renewal for a 12 month subscription is done by a 38 month renewal!
Canceling renewals is almost impossible. The customer service and finance department say it will all be handled. But then the invoices keep coming in and even 1 year contracts are automatically renewed for years leaving you with 20K extra costs!!!

Worst Customer Service EVER
I have never had a problem with any other Verizon service but this one. They have by far the worst customer service of any company we have ever used for ANYTHING. They will "create a ticket" but you NEVER receive a call back. If you ask for a supervisor they are always busy. They will not let you speak directly to your CSM. Once our contract is up I will be finding another provider. I will never recommend this product/company to anyone.
Pros
Ease of use (GPS Tracking, IFTA Reporting)
Cons
Absolutely terrible customer service. 0/10 do not recommend just based on this. Tech Service is just ok. They do not follow up on anything and will charge you for devices that were never even used/installed by them.

Terrible company, customer service & overall awful company
Overall, just so terrible. Their customer service is awful. they don't listen to customer's needs and will keep renewing contracts without consent.
Pros
I literally have nothing good to say about this company. Everything is a challenge with them and we've had them for years.
Cons
Everything is terrible about this company. Customer service has no idea what they're doing and constantly have to transfer phone calls back & forth because they don't know what they're doing. I'm trying to update a credit card on file and their website doesn't work. I've been transferred 4 times already in 10 mins. It's a simple request. This is just a minor issue. Exceptionally dissappointing - Verizon Connect (Multiple Contracts)
Extremely poor. Had to threaten Legal action to absolve our Company from 5G Contracts that should never have been facilitated given all other 15 vehicles with Verizon Connect devices were 3G relative devices
Pros
Vehicle Tracking system worked well, online system was suitable for Company requirement
Cons
Where do I start. Rather then write all and sundry in detail, I will list in point form the various issues that our Company has encountered with Verizon Connect, with the contracts and additional units constantly updated and facilitated due to new fleet vehicles and vehicle upgrades as would be expected with any sizeable Company Fleet requirement.
1. Lack of communication and supplied understanding from Verizon relative to product rollover at end of initial Contract (supplied in infinitely small fine print in Contract when should have been verbally relevant and in my opinion absolutely required information supplied in detail at the time of Contract agreement on numerous contract signing occasions)
2. Lack of communication relative to supplied and contracted 3G devices becoming redundant during the course of applied multi year contracts
3. Expensive cost value at $40 per month for each Fleet vehicle GPS, despite 17 various Vehicles in fleet ($1440 over the course of the Term, no additional discounts applied post the initial 36 Month Contract rollover period despite all Hardware costs being covered during initial 36 Month contract)
4. Prior Contracts rolled over despite 3G devices being redundant during the contracted period
5. Pressure applied to sign new multi year contracts with required upgraded 4G rollover devices, miscommunication relative to this requirement and held to debatable Terms and Conditions when this was raised as an issue
6. New contracts signed up after Verizon Connect was aware that 3G devices were to be made redundant, and 4G rollout was already in place through Verizon Connect - Our Company was absolutely not advised at time of order, Verizon supplied the new 4G devices at the time of order, then held these new Contracts as payout leverage against signing all other 3G devices (fleet of 15 in our case) across to multi year contracts when we requested payout figure on all exisiting Company contracts. Signing multi year contracts was not feasible due to many of the vehicles requiring upgrading at the time.
6. Incorrectly heavily inflated contract payout figure initially provided upon request amongst the numerous contracts that we had in place, once again this payout figure (over $10,000) was used as leverage to try and force us to sign new contracts for 4G migration on the 3G units supplied
7. Complaint Management system took many months to action, with overseas service controllers involved with limited english and understanding
8. Inept and forceful local Management here in Australia, who would not take "No" as an answer despite the questionable Business actions involved, eventually being forced to remove questioned Contracts, after external threats for remedial action also forced to be undertaken by our Company.

Swindled and Hood Winked
In a word: miserable. I feel lied to, cheated, hoodwinked, etc. Verizon Connect seems like it has half the capability of competitors and twice the problems. I cannot stress enough the cheap factor, and overall lack of confidence I have in this system. On top of that, they operate with 100% foreign customer service agents who often have strong accents that make communication difficult. Their customer service system is byzantine, I currently have half a dozen "issues," open with little or no resolve. I often get 2-3 different agents calling in a 24 hour period about the same issue, and none has a firm grip on the situation. Nightmarish is not too strong a word to describe the Verizon experience. Avoid it all costs!
Pros
Very little. I feel the agent that sold us our system outright lied about the features. The GPS/Vehicle tracking seems to work fine most of the time, but you must have the vehicle on and running, it relies on an SD card mounted in the camera. Translation: if the camera gets stolen, there goes your data and video. Verizon seems decidedly low tech and low feature when compared against competitors.
Cons
Where do I start? First, they made a mess of the initial shipping and order. I'm fighting a frustrating battle to even complete my system, and they tell me they're on back order for all units. Second, it lacks real-time communication with the drivers. I cannot even look at the driver camera in real-time, I must request a clip, which takes some time to download/deliver. Third, I cannot access video unless the truck remains on and running due to the SD card and camera needing power to operate. Fourth, the devices seem to cause electronic malfunctions in all of our vehicles, including battery drain.
Reasons for Switching to Verizon Connect
The Verizon agent lied and stated that Verizon contained the same capabilities as their competitors. In addition, Verizon offered a comparatively lower price per unit.- Industry: Chemicals

DO NOT BUY VERIZON CONNECT
Do not buy Verizon Connect. Stay away from this at all costs. We made the change to Verizon Connect due to the customer service and reliability of the service that was sold to us. Unfortunately, it was a complete lie in what they offer and you will be stuck in a contract no matter what service you have. From the start, we did not have all devices working properly or set up in the system. It took hours on the phone and over a couple months to finally get all the devices working properly. If you request to have them email you to respond to a support case, they will not. They will consistently call you and leave you messages throughout the day at random, even if you request them to schedule a call. They would even call us and leave messages about issues that were not what we had. After 6 months, we still have not been able to set up users on the account. We attempted to end the contract due to these issues and they said it would cost us $4000 to get out of it because they had resolved all the concerns. Yet after 6 months of a request, I still do not have a user set up and have received no response to that request. They do not know what is going on in their customer service because I would receive multiple messages from different people that did not all have the same information. Overall, I would stay clear of Verizon for any business if possible. They have never shown they can offer quality customer service and they will charge you for every month regardless if the service you are getting is what is in the contract. I will be leaving this contact once it is complete. I would recommend “Track your Truck” if you want another possible option for your fleet gps needs.
Pros
Nothing. Do not waste your time on buying this service.
Cons
It is a horrible service and company to work with. See further details in the next question.

Verizon lost in the Horizon
Not good. We have been having difficulty with two GPS trackers on equipment since day one. After four months Tier 2 Support Team informed us that we have the wrong type of GPS tracker for the type of equipment we are trying to track and that they would send out the correct equipment. Now after nine months the problem is still not resolved and we have received word that we will be charged an early termination fee for the two devices that were sent out that were not correct. All we did was make a trade not expecting any type of termination of service. Very frustrating trying to make any sense of this.
Pros
Initial discussions seemed to indicate that this would be the tracking service we needed for our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Oct 23...dont buy this product.
Up until recently it was just about ok. Real time tracking was about 90% good. By the time you reported a problem it had resolved itself. Not much use if real time tracking is important. Recently the service is non existent. I have 2 new trackers in my office for 2 weeks waiting to be installed. Nobody has been in touch. Monthly fee is still being deducted. Buyer beware. Dont sign a D.D with this company. There has to be a better available. They continue charging even when the service is rubbish. No refunds.
Pros
Nothing, at best it works well about 90% of the time. The rest of the time tracker crashes. You report it and a few hours later it is working again. Not much use if real time accuracy is important.
Cons
Service now non existent, Oct 23. Fed up waiting for service to sort my trackers. No one in contact to explain what is going. I lie. Someone was on to me (Sinead?) wondering if I wanted to but some more of their trackers. What a joke. I told her my problems..."nothing to do with me, get in touch with customer support". Well I tried that. Still waiting for 2 new trackers to be installed.

Reveal for Trucks, Equipment, and Assets - GPS is serviceable, HW is spotty, Customer Support...
Day-to-day functionality is mostly reliable and gives us what we need. However, when issues come up, there is the known quantity of headaches that come with addressing them.
Pros
The UI is decent, and easy enough to use. There are reporting features that we'll likely not implement but are nice to know are available. There is an extensive library of info for troubleshooting & installation. Tier 2 techs are helpful, some product specialists are good as well. Vehicle trackers seem to work fine, low failure rate.
Cons
By far it is customer service. Tier 1 techs are based overseas, and while there are some competent agents in the call center, most are not. Getting to Tier 2 techs as fast as possible is the only way to be efficient. We've had 3 "Customer Success Managers" in the last year and none have been easy to contact and seem highly overloaded with accounts. We also weren't billed for 9 months, and gave multiple reminders - then with only an automated payment warning email, were charged for all at once. The asset tracking hardware is also flaky, we've replaced numerous units that stop working.
