Drillster was founded in 2011 by Thomas Goossens and Marco van Sterkenburg when they became frustrated with how short the effect of traditional learning programs was, while so many employees and students worldwide rely on it. The forgetting curve prevents people from having the right competencies at the right time. Marco and Thomas figured that the world would be better if people could perform better by anchoring and retaining knowledge and skills. A proprietary algorithm drives personalized learning. The Drillster app even calculates future proficiency and notifies the learner just before crucial knowledge tends to decline. The unique Drillster methodology consists of several crucial elements:
