> Wooclap was born from a simple conviction: we learn and retain better when we actively participate, not when we passively listen. Whether in a classroom, a corporate training session, or a conference, real engagement is what turns information into understanding.

This belief was shared by Jonathan Alzetta and Sébastien Lebbe, two engineers from the École Polytechnique de Bruxelles, who founded Wooclap in 2015. Their starting point: the smartphone, often seen as a distraction in class or in training, could instead become the tool that lets everyone interact with their teacher or trainer. Rather than fighting smartphones, they turned them into a powerful learning tool.

From day one, they surrounded themselves with neuroscientists, teachers, and learning-engineering experts to build a platform designed to engage everyone and let teachers, trainers, and speakers measure comprehension in real time: in person, remote, synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid.

Today, Wooclap offers two complementary solutions:

- Wooclap, an interactive question tool that drives real-time engagement through 20+ dynamic question types, making classes, training sessions, and presentations more participative.

- Wooflash, a microlearning platform that boosts long-term retention through asynchronous practice and personalized learning paths.

No app to download, nothing to install: participants join a session with a QR code, a link, or a short code from any smartphone or computer. Wooclap integrates with the tools people already use: PowerPoint, Google Slides, Microsoft Teams, and major LMS platforms. So teachers, trainers, and L\&D teams can use it directly within their existing environment.

Today, more than 3 million teachers and trainers at leading institutions and companies including HEC Paris, Duke University, Total, Pernod Ricard, the University of Edinburgh… use Wooclap to shape the future of learning.

## Reviews

### "Super audience response system" — 5.0/5

> **Jessica** | *2 February 2026* | Insurance | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: Wooclap is very easy to use and much more comprehensive than Kahoot. The interface supports a wide range of use cases and is very well designed.

Working in a large insurance group, I needed a reliable solution, and Wooclap suited my needs better than competing tools such as Kahoot, Poll Everywhere, or Klaxoon.
>
> **Cons**: I was initially looking for a free tool, but none were on the same level as Wooclap. In addition, I needed access to all features and had strict security requirements, so I had to choose the paid version.
>
> Our company now uses Wooclap for training sessions and workshops. It works very well: participation has increased significantly, employees love it, and they retain the presentation content much better.

### "An interactive course experience" — 5.0/5

> **Abdelmadjid** | *24 April 2025* | Higher Education | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: The interactive and feedback questions are very useful. I had so many fun moments with my students when I used Wooclap
>
> **Cons**: What I don’t like about Wooclap is that it doesn’t have a mobile app, which would allow me to moderate events from my phone while presenting from my PC. I also suggest adding more types of questions, such as crosswords and word searches, to make the experience even more engaging.
>
> My students liked it very much; it made the course highly interactive, and they really enjoyed it.

### "Great for Engagement, Needs Smoother Navigation" — 3.0/5

> **Helen** | *14 March 2025* | E-Learning | Recommendation rating: 4.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I liked how interactive and engaging Wooclap is for students. It encourages participation and makes sessions more dynamic. The variety of question formats is great for keeping students involvednt options can be a bit clunky.
>
> **Cons**: The interface could be more intuitive, especially for first-time users. Some features are not as straightforward, and navigating between different options can be a bit clunky.
>
> Overall, Wooclap is a useful tool for enhancing student interaction in class. It helps foster engagement and provides real-time feedback, but it could benefit from a smoother user experience.

### "Shy students can contribute" — 5.0/5

> **Deborah** | *11 August 2024* | Higher Education | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I love the fact that WooClap allows shy students to contribute, not just a handful of confident people. It is so easy to set up and for students to use it.
>
> **Cons**: I can't think of anything at the moment.
>
> WooClap is intuitive to use and easy for students to access. It allows interaction with students in a seamless way.

### "Wooclap usage in High school classroom" — 4.0/5

> **Tamara** | *18 November 2019* | Education Management | Recommendation rating: 10.0/10
>
> **Pros**: I like that there is instant feedback for students which can be displayed on screen or sent individually to students. I like that I can create the assessments and it is digitally saved to use again. I like the competition mode.
>
> **Cons**: Sometimes it is difficult to get a troubleshooting question responded to in a timely way. I've had to wait 1-2 days for a response.
>
> It is a great tool for classroom use and is free for educators.
