A Legend Facing Declining Popularity
Skype is a legend in its field. I’ve been using it since 2010, but unfortunately, its popularity has seen a significant decline in recent years. However, I still use it occasionally because it offers features that other tools don’t, such as the ability to make outgoing phone calls.
Pros
I really like the Copilot feature. When enabled, it appears in the contacts list, and you can chat with it like any other contact. For those who don't know, Copilot is an AI tool that can assist you with almost anything you need. Something's else that I love about Skype is the ability to add credits and make normal phone calls.
Cons
It seems that the last couple of years many users have shifted away from Skype to other communication tools.

Good at first, but ended up not so well
Our overall experience with Skype was much more miss than hit, and with the lacking support from Microsoft themselves, it caused to have to move to different VoIP software.
Pros
Compatibility with existing software, and Skype already being a familiar environment for most of our staff.
Cons
The support, pricing and features were reasons that we least liked Skype the most.

Skype Herramienta Técnologica 4.0
Skype is an application with many good tools and functions, for chat and video call connections, in general the experience has been very good that's why I give it 4 stars, I can't reach 5, it's only because they still need to improve the technology for presentations of business or university projects.
Pros
Its application and tools are easy to use, its interface is intuitive, simple and well connected.
Cons
What I liked least about Skipe is that it lacks automation of its functions for project presentations.

Vocal lessons are possible thanks to Skype!
I use Skype with my vocal coach. It has been a great experience and the I love that the video recording of our lesson is available almost immediately after each call allowing me to download it.
Pros
Skype has not time limit in video calls. It allows for uninterrupted meetings. It has nice background and the sound quality is great.
Cons
If I have to choose something to improve in Skype it would be privacy. Sometimes, I receive messages and calls from users I do not know.

Four stars
Communications are successful and we've had few problems. Skype has gotten better and better.
Pros
With Skype I get easy to use video conferencing for free. Sound and image both come through clearly and it can translate in real time.Skype isn't strictly for Windows, there are versions for Android, Apple, etc. I chose Skype for my company because of the features listed previously and the other communications like chat, SMS, and calling.
Cons
Skype chose to include SMS but it's only outbound. There's no way to receive an SMS. That's what I would change if it were up to me.

Skype is a GREAT communication tool.
Skype has been a constant feature in our workplace, being used to communicate with our programmers and developers who are overseas. We can chat and video call them for free!
Pros
Skype is an incredible chat and video program that allows you to instantly engage with your colleagues or team.
Cons

Skype-the OG video messaging app
Skype was great when it first came out it was THE video messaging app. The OG. It was an easy way to stay connected even just by audio. In the end the software did not work as well for me as it did in the beginning. I think it is still great and their features are updated and have caught on to all the other communication software but I do feel like for the price there are better ones out there.
Pros
Skype was it when it first came out. I've always loved the video calling, audio calling, screen sharing and messaging.
Cons
At times, my Skype would run very slow. Lots of buffering even with good internet.

Great Product
We have 2 branches in different cities so Skype saves us in long distance calling. We all use the Instant Messaging feature. A lot of our work environment just needs a few word answers amongst employees so its way quicker then drafting an email. The notification pop up helps with users busy screens but even if you miss it, the icon turns orange on the taskbar so it wont be missed.
Pros
Quick, efficient way for our employee's to communicate. Cheap to implement and doesn't bog down the system. Alerts pop-ups perfect since most users have 10-15 windows open and 2-3 monitors at the same time.
Cons
No cons, Microsoft seems to be be pushing Teams however but we prefer to stay on Skype.

Skype Review
Skype has not posed any major issues and is a reliable service for whenever I have online meeting needs. It's a well known brand and people trust it for meeting about both business uses and casual needs like playing games online with friends while keeping a voice chat open without using cell phones.
Pros
It lets any user access remote contact for free and without needing to worry about cell calling limits while providing instant access to powerful tools like streaming your own screen via screen sharing. A game changer for quick day to day meetings in any workplace scenario whether that's an artist to a client showing progress or within a 30 person office for a monthly progress meeting.
Cons
Occasional discconnection issues and needing to share passwords to formal meetings are standard across programs like these, annoying but not limited to Skype by any means.

One of the best and classic VOIP services
Skype is one of the best VOIP services around. Although some corporate services have moved over to Zoom or Teams as they are integrated, Skype still outshines them when it comes to calling clients or people who have little to no internet access. It works for me all the time
Pros
I like that I can use Skype to call regular phone lines by loading credits. This enables me to have meetings with people and clients around the world with little to no internet access.
Cons
Depending on where you are calling, the credits can be expensive.

Was great, but now stuck in the past
It was a great idea back in the days however I have a feeling developers did not made any progress to keep up with a newer apps that have much more to offer. There are many bugs which makes it tough to use the app. It also crashes a lot on Android.
Pros
Available for Desktop and as an App,
easy to deploy, very popular, pretty easy to install.
Cons
Some features are unnecessary complicated -tough to add a phone number to contacts. Not sure why the usernames of people I am not connected with pop up in the search. It is random and makes me questioning if anyone knowing my username can randomly find me.
I purchased a Skype number, there is an error while sending text messages so I can only receive them and never send.No updates, everything is as it was 5 years ago.

Reliable Online Communications with Skype
I've been using Skype since its inception and seen it go though its bad times and its good times and thanks to its backing by Microsoft find it to be a reliable platform.
Pros
Skype is a mature, reliable, and well established online VoIP platform backed by Microsoft and great solution fro communicating online with voice and video with one person or multiple people at once. Great for personal or business use. Oh, and it is free to get started.
Cons
Its feature set has not changed much for several years but it really doesn't have to as there are other platforms from Microsoft like Teams, and competitors like Zoom, 3CX and other voip service providers that provide same or similar features with more features.

Great for Meetings and Staying In Touch
One of our members is currently staying far away. Skype has been a very practical tool for us to stay in contact and share ideas for upcoming projects. It's obviously much faster and engaging than sending texts, but it does have that option there as well, for when we need it.
Pros
There are other platforms that do the same thing, such as Facebook Messenger and FaceTime. Not everyone will want to do any sort of serious work over Facebook though, and not event has FaceTime available to them. Skype is a good solution that seems to work across many/most platforms.
Cons
I don't really have any complaints. It's not my favorite tool for video chat. That'd be FaceTime, but for those who aren't on iOS, Skype works well.

Skype is Excellent!
Overall it was a very pleasant experience to use Skype. I was able to connect with family in different parts of the world where other apps have restrictions and no reach ability.
Pros
Skype was an excellent app to connect with my family and friends. I was able to use this on mutiple devices with ease and I liked how it was accessible in all parts of the world
Cons
Sometimes the video chat quality would lag a bit but I think it was mainly due to the load on my network connection and not the software itself.
