One of the big three cloud providers.

Pros

I have 3 Azure certifications at the moment and will continue the Developer path. I like that Azure is an extension of our datacenter but allows us to do a lot more since they are constantly abstracting services in order to gain ease of management. An example of this can be seen with containers since you can deploy them to AKS and manage the nodes but if it's a simple deployment you can deploy to Azure Web Apps or Azure Container Instance. If you want a full AKS deployment but do not want to manage node updates then Azure ContainerApps is a good solution. I really like that they offer Azure Open AI so companies can leverage a chat-gpt like environment that's private while allowing companies to add their data inside their tenant and not out to a public / popular service.

Cons

Signing up to previews can be difficult and often needs to involve sales reps before doing so to make sure we can have access to products.

Cons

Managing Azure services can be complex with cloud expert staff. It can be expensive if not managed properly and optimized for efficiency. It is dependent on internet connectivity.

Azure requires a steep learning curve but is worth it once you are familiar. You really can't run a Microsoft user base without it.

Pros

Azure is a necessary component for any enterprise admin managing Microsoft users, licenses, and apps.

Cons

While Azure offers a multitude of insight and ability, it's quite difficult to navigate for unfamiliar users. That combined with the fact that many functions can be performed on other services such as MS365 and SharePoint Admin Center can be quite confusing.

I suggested Microsoft Azure Everyone

Azure has been a smooth experience for us, the GUI is user-friendly and easy to understand. Setting up a virtual machine is made so easy nowadays. I feel like Azure has everything a business can need. We were worried about the cloud performance but the performance is just great.

Pros

One of the standout features of Microsoft Azure is its comprehensive suite of services, covering everything from computing and storage to AI and machine learning. Its scalability and flexibility empower businesses to tailor solutions to their specific needs, all supported by Microsoft's robust security and global infrastructure.

Cons

While Microsoft Azure offers a vast array of services, its complexity can be daunting for newcomers. Navigating the numerous features and understanding their interactions requires a steep learning curve. Additionally, occasional downtime or service disruptions, albeit infrequent, can disrupt operations, highlighting the importance of robust backup and contingency plans.

Why Microsoft Azure?

Pros

So, I am an Azure Active directory Engineer and, in my opinion, following are thing are the key highs of MS Azure.

Data Security
In my opinion data is one of the most important things for any of our business partners. And I totally support that Azure has the one of the best data securities.

Graphical User Interface

As an Azure AD engineer, for me once of the key factor is GUI. And Azure offers the best GUI to with.

Access Controls/Permissions

Access control and permission are the critical, as I'm an Active directory engineer and managing permissions and control for the user plays an important role in my department and azure plays a very significant role and helps us to manage.

User Management
Again, as an Azure AD engineer, I need to manage user in a proper hierarchy for our active directory. So full stars to make it easier from our side us to make user management easier for us.

Cons

The things I disliked about azure are as follows. But this opinion may change from user to user.

Pricing complexity: Azure's pricing structure can be intricate, making it challenging to predict costs and avoid unexpected charges.

Management complexity: Managing a complex Azure environment can be time-consuming and require specialized skills.

Save time and improve performance

While the initial learning took effort, the enormous flexibility it gives me to adapt solutions to different client requirements is invaluable. I love how I can easily try new technologies thanks to their pay-as-you-go model. Azure also allowed me to migrate critical workloads to the cloud securely and reliably. Its benefits in scalability, global availability and lower maintenance costs have positively impacted my projects. Without a doubt, I recommend Azure for any professional or company looking to take advantage of the full potential of the cloud quickly and comprehensively

Pros

What I liked most about Microsoft Azure was the wide variety of services it offers. From basic services such as storage, virtual machines or virtual networks, to more advanced services for artificial intelligence, machine learning, mixed reality, containers or non-SQL databases. I loved having hundreds of cloud options to solve practically any scenario. Being able to easily test and combine different services allowed me to innovate and test new solutions for my clients with a lot of flexibility

Cons

What I liked least about Azure was the initial learning curve to master all its complexity and number of options. While I really appreciate the flexibility, the wide variety of services and technologies also make Azure more difficult to learn at first compared to other simpler cloud solutions. I needed to dedicate a lot of time to familiarize myself with all the concepts, define the appropriate architecture and know how to really take advantage of its full potential. However, I recognize that as I gained more experience, the curve became much more bearable

One of the Best Cloud Platforms in the World

Overall, Microsoft Azure is a powerful and robust product with multiple uses by Microsoft.

Pros

- As a SAP Consultant, most of our clients are moving to the cloud for the flexibility and cost effective benefits it offers. Microsoft Azure provides cloud services as Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Software as a service (SaaS) and Platform as a service (PaaS). Most of our SAP clients employ IaaS for the deployment of SAP ERP. - Microsoft has invested several data centres across the world - something that ensures low latency. - One of the most important aspects of cloud is the ability to scale and downscale as and when needed. With Microsoft Azure, a client can decide to increase their cloud resources (RAM, Memory, Processor) in a click of a button. Microsoft only charges for the resources used. This kind of flexibility is a big deal as far as cost of the product is concerned because a business a can downscale or upscale according to the current business needs.- Another obvious advantage of Azure comes from the fact that it is a Microsoft Product and therefore seamlessly integrates with the other massive Microsoft Products like Office 365

Cons

- As much as Microsoft Azure can be a cost effective option for some businesses, it can be an expensive option for others. - Another issue with Cloud is that some clients might not be comfortable with the fact that their data is being hosted in a data center sitting in another country. It will take some time before everyone evolves as far as this is concerned

Microsoft Azure is everything you will ever need when it comes to cloud computing and...

Overall, this is one of the best products by Microsoft because the future is cloud.

Pros

Microsoft Azure is one of the top cloud computing platforms along with other top players like Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud. In this review, I will talk about my experience with Microsoft Azure. It is one of the best cloud platforms in the market and has almost all the features you would want in a cloud solution. I use it for both personal and professional use.I use it to create virtual machines that I can access from anywhere through Remote desktop platform. I use the virtual machines for different tasks related to my work. Microsoft Azure gives you a free trial version that has 200 dollars credit when you sign up. The free credit is valid for a whole month and with it, you can access all the premium features of Microsoft Azure. One of the most important aspects of cloud is scalability. Microsoft cloud data centres are available in different areas across the globe and with this comes low-latency and the ability to scale or down scale as needed. The pricing system of Microsoft Azure is that you only pay for what you have used in a specific month. There are no fixed monthly charges. This is a very good cost-effective system in my opinion.Apart from Virtual machines, Azure offers a variety of other services including Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, networking, and storage.

Cons

Some organizations may still not be comfortable to go cloud due to security concerns of their data being stored in a different country/region.

Popular for Cloud Computing

Using Azure effectively requires familiarity with its services and configurations. This can involve a learning curve for teams new to cloud computing or specific Azure services.

Pros

I like that it has a easy user interface for customers to use. It is relatively easy to navigate and the dashboards give you summarized information that you need. Azure provides a wide range of services and the ability to scale resources up or down based on demand. This flexibility supports varying workloads and business needs.

Cons

I believe it has a slightly complex pricing structure - with various factors affecting costs such as compute, storage, and data transfer fees. It requires careful planning to avoid unexpected charges.

Powerful Cloud Platform, Best for Those with Advanced Skills

Pros

What I like most about Microsoft Azure is its ease of use and intuitive UI. Navigating through Azure's portal feels seamless, with everything well-organized and easily accessible, whether I'm on a desktop, tablet, or even a mobile device. The centralized dashboard makes managing resources simple, even across multiple projects.

Azure also shines in providing actionable recommendations for optimizing performance, especially for web applications and databases. Its built-in analytics and insights tools are invaluable for pinpointing areas to enhance speed, efficiency, and overall user experience. When it comes to storage, Azure is robust and versatile, offering a range of scalable options that integrate smoothly with other services.

Overall, Azure delivers a comprehensive, user-friendly experience that empowers me to manage, optimize, and scale my resources with confidence.

Cons

Azure’s cost structure confusing and challenging to manage, which can make it difficult to budget or anticipate expenses accurately. Also, while Azure’s hybrid cloud capabilities are powerful, setting them up is complex and often requires significant expertise

The SQL-managed services handle infrastructure and resource allocation to simplify the provisioning process and help us focus our team effort on workflow optimization, solution improvements, and project goals. Azure Cloud is a Collaborative and inclusive development environment with an easy-to-navigate user interface and has efficient billing and cost management tools that help us better our teamwork.

Pros

Microsoft Azure provides reliable cloud storage, computing, networking, infrastructure, resources, and tools for solution development and deployment. The analytical services and SQL solutions are fast and integrate seamlessly with on-premises SQL Server systems. The platform is secure, easy to implement, and continuously adds new features and advanced AI capabilities. The customer support is friendly and responsive. Also, Azure has an extensive learning platform and solution architecture center to help developers design and optimize better cloud solutions.

Cons

Azure continuously adding new features is critical for success, but it is a bit overwhelming and requires continuous learning to keep up with the latest updates.

Powerful cloud computing platform

I have had good expereince using Microsoft Azure. Because of the great strength and flexibility of its cloud services, it is my preferred choice for creating and implementing applications. Azure's performance, dependability, and integration possibilities make it a significant tool for both small and large-scale projects, despite its learning curve.

Pros

The wide range of services offered by Microsoft Azure are what I find most interesting. As a developer, what i value most is its smooth connection with different tools, such as Visual Studio and GitHub, because it simplifies deployment and testing. Azure has excellent scalability capabilities that make it easy for applications to handle increasing workloads. It is also perfect for enterprise-level projects due to its excellent compliance.

Cons

The pricing of service is one drawback, as it can be load, particularly for smaller jobs. Because of the intricacy of the platform, it can be overwhelming to navigate through all of the services accessible, especially for newbies.

Microsoft Azure Review

My overall experience with Azure is very good. It really helps us to build our infrastructure and expose applications.

Pros

It has very powerful internal services that helps you to build infrastructure and propagate your applications. The services that Azure provide are very stable. Also on top of services, you can always install security components.

Cons

Azure should improve its live support for each services. Some of them has live support option but some of them has not. In case of issues with the services, we always need live support.

Great if you're already using .NET/ Good for everyone else.

I've been working professionaly with Azure for about 6 years with 2 years off using Cloudfoundry. Azure is far better than Cloudfoundry. And if you are already building with microsoft tech like .NET and C#, Azure is a very natural extension into the cloud.

Pros

If you are already a programmer using the Microsoft software ecosystem, Azure is the cloud for you.

Cons

The pricing can be a bit expensive. There are a number of free services and if you don't need to scale up a lot you can probably accomplish a lot on the Azure cloud for free.
