SharePoint, does so much, but forgot a couple things.
It's just incredibly easy to use, but the drawbacks it has are silly and makes it feel like it's 90% baked.
Pros
It's honestly currently the easiest way to share files on the Internet while having very strong customization options. The fact that I can share a file, prevent it's download and give an expiration timer in the same tool I use to host my data is huge.
Cons
The over-reliance on SharePoint as a solution by Microsoft. Share files on teams? Thats SharePoint. Save to OneDrive? That's also SharePoint. Share a file link with a friend from excel or other Microsoft suite tools? Yep, SharePoint. There's also a severe lack of tools on power automate for SharePoint integration. Why can't I rename a file while moving it on SharePoint?

There are better options!
Not very good. I used to use Google Suite apps and then we switched to Sharepoint because of company decisions, but it the change has been awful, everybody hates it. I do not recommend it.
Pros
I like that you can use Microsoft Desktop Apps or Cloud apps to work on projects.
Cons
It is not intuitive at all, I lose my documents very often because I think I know where I saved them but then they aren't there. It is a very confusing software and the webapps are horrible.

MS SharePoint - great tool for collaboration and file sharing
Overall, I have been using MS SharePoint for almost three years now and managed to create multiple team spaces for our company were we share all sorts of files, from learing materials to work schedules and different file types that are changed on hourly basis by our retail employees. I am using SharePoint as a tool to minimize the uneccessary e-mail and to distribute documents, information and data with over 70 people in our department. I find it really usefull and
Pros
MS Sharepoint offers a quick solution for team file sharing and minimizing e-mails. I like the fact that multiple users can use and edit files that are uploaded into sharepoint team place. The interface is fast and simple and can be used by users of all skill levels.
The automatization is simple but could be a bit more extensive (without Power Automate).
The depth of permissions is great since you can do alot with just one team space (some users can see all, some can edit, some can just read while some don't even see specific parts of the teams space).
Cons
I disliked the fact that is is limited in term of page design and you don't have complete freedom in term of designing the sections of the page regarding the design you chose.
The document library and site permissions can be a little tricky while the access sharing and its modifications can be a bit unstable and not always work at first.

Great tool for files sharing on your project
My overall experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been mixed. It’s a powerful tool for document management and collaboration, with excellent integration into the Microsoft ecosystem. However, its complexity and occasional performance issues can make it challenging to use effectively without proper training or support.
Pros
Centralized document storage and sharing, seamless integration with Microsoft Office, customizable workflows, version control, and robust collaboration features.
Cons
Complex setup and maintenance, steep learning curve, occasional performance issues, and limited flexibility for non-Microsoft integrations.

SharePoint a first in its field.
It was used for a lot of our intranet pages. It was easy to use and it was easy to modify on the fly. New features were seldomly added and I think that's the biggest downfall.
Pros
It was a first in its field, it allowed for some wonderful pages to be made that helped our intranet flow. It didn't require a lot of learning and the GUI was intuitive.
Cons
It was good for its time, but the mobile aspect wasn't always the best and eventually other things replaced it.

Easy to use collaborative file sharing platform
I still love the platform. It's relatively easy to use the Graph API to open an Excel spreadsheet to pull data without opening the spreadsheet assuming it is the right format. The platform is relatively defect free. From time to time, you need to force reindex of your objects
Pros
For document store and creating pages and portals, there's no simpler platform to use.
Cons
The permissioning system has some antiquated rough edges. There's no page that tells you exactly what the user has access to. These are some basic things that really tooted me the wrong way. It's a mature product, but it lacks some steps in the lifecycle management of data.

SharePoint is a great to share access/information with team!!
Overall if you have an IT team to setup your workspace SharePoint is a nice tool to use. It has cloud access and updates the documents and files in real time, and you can see what has been worked on. You can also have team groups and files per group to keep it separate. You can also customize a page that your whole team and see and utilize.
Pros
The thing I like the most about SharePoint is that you can create a page and share it to your whole team. You can post updates and also just share information seamlessly.
Cons
The only thing is that it sometimes is not so user friendly, and you need to be able to customize the pages for your team.

Sharing the Content
Overall, the complaints are few & far between. They really only appear once we start to edit web pages with features and functionality beyond general content display and use. But the storing of files and distribution of content is easy and seamless to whatever existing processes we have.
Pros
SharePoint is our agreed-upon tool for posting documentation and videos out to the entire organization. Whether it's onto pages intended for only our internal coaching cohort, or sharing links to key content items with HR or Intern Comms, it's a ubiquitous tool for a very good reason. File upload time is fast, as is adding basic widgets for content display.
Cons
Once you get past basic webpage editing, SharePoint is not always most user-friendly of tools. Fortunately, for our purposes, the basic editing abilities on pages are all that is needed. And for general file storage, it functions very efficiently.

Pros
Microsoft SharePoint is a central source for curating content for external and internal stakeholders in the Microsoft 365 environment. It has served me and my team well in becoming our team site and initial landing space for business developments.

A Great Collaboration Tool!
I think Microsoft Sharepoint is a a great collaborative tool for teams to use in our organization and I have found it to great way to upload photos, forms, and documents to share with colleagues. I also like that you can store documents, excel sheets, and powerpoint presentations and edit in real time.
Pros
I like that Microsoft Sharepoint is easy to navigate, and it's easy to create folders and new file destinations. I also like how you can move files and upload them easily, and generate links to share inside and outside of your organization. With our organization being almost completely remote, Sharepoint makes collaboration easy with all of its collaboration tools.

MS SharePoint Often Gets a Bad Rap
Overall, I have solved more common business problems with SharePoint than with any other tool.
Pros
I hear lots of people groan about SharePoint, yet I find over and over that it makes it incredibly easy to put together useful tools, collaborate, integrate, automate, and all at a very reasonable cost. Being tightly integrated with M365, it just makes sense to take advantage of all it has to offer.

Still earning trust, though always a little slow to improve
We use this as the backbone for our intranet and I am gradually coming to appreciate its power.
Pros
SharePoint integrates well with the rest of the Microsoft stack and gives us reasonable assurance of security and redundancy. The list-first method of file management is useful, and I like the modern Lists experience. Teams integration is strong.
Cons
SharePoint isn't as flexible in its sharing approach--perhaps this is the price to pay for security. For instance, a file or List stored on SharePoint cannot be shared via link without requiring sign-in. In numerous other ways, SharePoint sites are dated and limited.

Pros
The software has helped me a lot in sharing important documents and submissions easily and can be accessed easily by the end party. Overall, the software is well balanced, and it has great features.
Cons
The software is excellent and meets most of my needs, but it could improve on some aspects, such as:
The modified folder doesn't have any choices to save my previous settings for each folder.
Another con is that if I open the notebook, there is no option to go back directly to the SharePoint interface. You need to go back to App Launcher and open from there, where it is very inconvenient if you are in a hurry to do things quickly.

Microsoft SharePoint for government

Pros
How easy it is to create SharePoint sites. Prior to SharePoint, our intranet was managed by our IT department. This created challenges when you needed to update or change things on the site. Moving our Intranet to SharePoint gave us the ability to manage our intranet ourselves. It is very easy to create SharePoint sites and manage them. You don't need to know how to code websites.

Overall Sharepoint is ok, it works, it's simple to use even for less tech savvy people and integrates with all Microsoft products but honestly I feel it's lacking and needs more features.
Pros

Navigating Microsoft SharePoint
My experience with Microsoft SharePoint has been a mixed bag, starting with its user interface, which I found to be a bit of a maze at first, though it gradually became more intuitive. The collaboration features really shine, making it easy for teams to share documents and work together in real time, which has definitely improved our communication. I’ve enjoyed the customization options, especially when creating workflows that fit our specific needs, and the integration with other Microsoft tools like Teams has been seamless. Performance-wise, it’s mostly reliable, though there have been a few frustrating moments with downtime. The learning curve was a bit steep initially, and I did find myself relying on additional training resources to get up to speed. Thankfully, support has been readily available, which made things easier. Overall, SharePoint has had a positive impact on my productivity, and despite its quirks, I would recommend it to others looking for a robust collaboration tool.

Can be easily created from MS Teams and accessed directly from MS Teams. The online SharePoint site is automatically created and can be accessed from MS teams. Use it for file storage and collaboration with a set of team members.
Cons
When multiple users are working on the same file in SharePoint there is always sync issues and one of the user has to close the file before the other user can save his progress
