Great Publisher for most businesses
I have tried to switch to other new Publishing platforms and I always end up coming back to Publisher.
Pros
You can jump right into using Publisher with little learning curve. This is in contrast to InDesign or Affinity that requires a bigger learning curve. Does everything most businesses would ever need.
Cons
There are very few cons but one would be that it is not a collaborative document.

Good For Beginners
From my experience with Microsoft Publisher I would say that it is a very basic program, with relative ease of use but low versatility compared some of the other software available today.

As a beginner, it was a good stepping stone.

The more I used it, the more I realized the lack of versatility.

Microsoft Publisher is great for its design simplicity.
Overall, the system is easy to use and worked well for the many years we used it for student newsletters at our university.
Pros

Cons
For years we have used Microsoft Publisher for student newsletters. One thing I would suggest is adding more design features and customization options.

Publisher is great, compatibility isn't
Publisher is a great software, but the compatibility on Macs is lacking which really makes the usability hurt!
Pros
There is plenty of customization features and a few useful templates. I typically just see Publisher as a more customizable version of Microsoft Word.
Cons
There is no Mac version of Publisher! For a half MacOS and half Windows staff, this makes it so difficult to transfer files from one another. We normally just create the files on a Windows computer then export them as a PDF for those who don't have Macs, but this completely removes editing capabilities.

Basic, Easy Publication Design
I've used this product for 20 years. Basic is better. It's no frills, but it's more intuitive and easier to manipulate basic layouts than just about any other product out there.
Pros
I like how easy it is to create documents from scratch. There's no more simple way to make greeting cards, bulletins, and brochures.
Cons
I don't like that it's not always built in to basic MS Office packages. This makes it hard to share items universally.

A Good Product for Basic Content Creation
A good product overall, which is usually purchased together with other Office products. I do really like Word and PowerPoint, which helps in moving over to Publisher. I've printed out wedding invitations and bulletins, and they turned out well.
Pros
It is pretty easy to use, especially for those familiar with Microsoft software. There are enough options to help you create solid material.
Cons

Simple Design Made Easy
Pros
For simple design work, I love Microsoft Publisher. It's easy to use and offers a wide range of templates for a number of different design jobs. I love how easily it integrates with other Microsoft 365 apps too. A very cost-effective solution for simple but high-quality design.
Cons
I wouldn't use Microsoft Publisher for larger projects, this software is better suited to meet simple requirements. Definitely not a replacement design software for a professional graphic designer. It's also not available on Mac, which makes it tricky to collaborate with all members of the team.

A user-friendly publishing tool.
I produce professional business cards and programs with Microsoft Publisher. Its simplicity and integration with other Microsoft applications make the job a walk in the park for me. The image editing tools allow me to make quick adjustments and the end result is always a professional-designed document.
Pros
I like how I quickly got the hang of it thanks to its intuitive and user-friendly interface. Its rich library of customizable templates helps save time and effort.
Cons
While its rich template library and user-friendly interface make it the perfect choice for small businesses and individuals, it's pretty basic and not meant for design professionals. If you're seeking advanced design capabilities, then you need to consider other powerful software. It needs a steeper learning curve to work with complex designs like other high-end software options currently in the market.

MS Publisher still has it all these years later
Pros
I'm not afraid to admit it, I still love Publisher and use it whenever I need to make up a simple poster or print out some images.
Word just doesn't work very well for these types of projects and Illustrator or InDesign is a massive overkill. In steps Publisher and you're done in minutes.
Cons
Sadly Publisher hasn't had much love by Microsoft for many years and hasn't really been updated in just as long. There's no AutoSave function for OneDrive and you don't get an X at the end of the file extension like its siblings, but it works and it gets the jobs it needs to do, done.

Pros

I can easily use all of the functions, it's very easy to troubleshoot, and we were able to get it at an unbeatable price.
