About Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook is a free email and calendar solution designed for both personal, educational and business use. The software allows users to send, receive, and manage emails, plus book and track events and appointments in the calendar. Outlook has a web interface as well as native apps for Windows, Mac OS, iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Integration with other Microsoft 365 apps enables access to contacts and the sharing of files directly from OneDrive as email attachments. The calendar functionality can be used to share availability with coworkers, book meeting or conference rooms, track RSVPs, and find the best time to schedule meetings with the Scheduling Assistant. Microsoft Outlook is free for personal use, and subscriptions for business or education use are offered through various monthly and annual Microsoft 356 packages. Support is provided via a knowledge base, community forum, and online help desk.

Outlook Review

I use Outlook for both my personal and work email. I like how i can easily switch accounts on my phone. I also like the ease of using the software. I use it daily for yasks, calendars, emails and organization.

Pros

Ease of use, compatibility with other Microsoft products, lots of fearursz, meeting scheduling, and use within Power Automate.

Cons

I like using the software and don't have many complaints. Occasionally it will lock up, but a restart and it works well again.

Outlook's New Version: Faster but Missing Key Features

My overall experience with Microsoft Outlook has been a rocky one. The more feature-packed old version is pretty much useless, as it frequently stops responding, making you have no choice, but to upgrade to the new version, which is missing a lot of key features. However, Outlook is still great with certain things, like reminders, calendar, scheduling, seamless Microsoft 365 integration, among many other things. Overall a 3/5.

Pros

What I like the most about Microsoft Outlook is that it seamlessly integrates with Microsoft 365, the calendar and scheduling features are great, and the search functionality is also great.

Cons

The new version of Microsoft Outlook is missing lots of features. The old version of Microsoft Outlook is pretty much useless because it is extremely slow to open stuff, and will frequently stop responding, forcing you to upgrade to the new version.

Best Email I've Used!

Overall, Microsoft Outlook is the best email I've ever used and I will continue to use it. I use it personally and professionally. It's convenient, secure, and they always seem to be updating it to make it better!

Pros

Microsoft Outlook is by far my favorite email. It's very secure, easy to use, I hardly get junk mail (like I used to with other email platforms), and it customizable!

Cons

I do wish you could more easily share your weekly schedule with colleagues and I wish you could specify what days/hours you're working in the office or working from home so that people know how to reach you. There are some features such as groups that I think are really cool, but a little difficult to figure out and use.

Easy, Organized, and Simple

Microsoft Outlook is very easy to use and helpful to get you organized!

Pros

I like that Microsoft Outlook has everything well organized and I can make a bunch of different folders to keep track of everything.

Cons

The only thing I don't like is when composing a new email, sometimes it does not let me add an attachment until I click off of the email, and it goes to a draft and then I can add an attachment. I send a bunch of emails with attachments so this is mildly annoying.

Although it has its limitations in the free version, it can be quite useful for organizing your personal or work email, it is a software to consider for email management.

Pros

I like that through this program I can check my emails in a simple way, and always have notifications of each email that arrives, so I can be updated on my messages without having to constantly check my inbox.

Cons

It has limited storage, so you may find it necessary to delete old messages, it also has advertising that can be annoying when working.

Solid profession email client

Pros

Matchable features of it are really good and the calendar integration is fantastic for a professional office in. Having multiple calendars allows you to have personal calendars integrated into company-wide calendars and that is a fantastic feature. Also sorting project related emails into folders is a great organizational tool.

Cons

I dislike how app and the program are being upgraded. Computer malfunctions when you have the app version and the program software version on one PC. Windows is doing a lot of changes that aren't really necessary as they shouldn't fix something that wasn't broken but it seems the the moving into this whole cloud hosted 365 nonsense to get subscription fees.

Also then you look update for the program is messing with how we are saving emails into folder structures.

Also it's super annoying when one employee is on a Mac and certain features are simply messing from outlook on their machine. This shouldn't be. All menus should be the same.

Microsoft Outlook is a must have in the workplace

I have used Oulook in a professional setting for at least 20 years and also on my personal email home accounts. It is generally pretty intuitive and easy to use with many features.

Pros

I like the colored flag feature as it helps me keep my projects organized, and of course the ease of emailing and standard ooo work features and signatures are easy and a must for the office.

Cons

I have found the last 3 years or so the calendar function is a bit flaky. I will shutdown my computer and all calendars will be wiped out the next day and I'll have to add them all again and it frequently freezes when opening calendar. Not sure if it is due to Teams link at work or not but they are both Microsoft products so you think it would not do that.

Outlook made changes just to make changes. Difficult to use without reason

I have used Outlook for over 20 years. Typically , with an update, new features are added and the overall look and feel changes. This newest one is so difficult and different to use. they even changed the mouse buttons. For example, right clicking a misspelled word used to bring up options to correct it but now you have to hit your left mouse button on the word.

Pros

I have been using Outlook for years and it is what I know very well. Th eolder version is easy to use and the functionality is user-friendly.

Cons

I despise the newest version of Outlook. Nothing is in a place that makes sense for the user. Features are difficult to find and even missing in some places. It is not a product that works well and it seems Microsoft wanted to make it as difficult to use as possible.

Pros

Integration across the Microsoft 365 suite of apps. In particular the advances made between this working in harmony with MS Teams has improved productivity.

Cons

The browser version can sometimes not provide the same notifications as the desktop version. This could be down to user error, but I'd want a more seamless experience between the two without the need to alter any settings. Desktop and mobile app however sync brilliantly.

The email client

I use Outlook for my work email and it allows me to manage my email in an easy and fast way. Outlook runs well and rarely hangs. It has a lot of features (I use a few, the search, the rules, the calendar and just an addon) and if a need support I easily find my answer on internet (of course you can contact Microsoft Support).
Indeed one of the best Microsoft Program.

Pros

I think Microsoft Outlook is the best email client available, i like the interface and how menu and features are organized.
Managing your enails and email accounts is easy, you can add a new account just following the instructions (in the file section or under the windows control panel) and manage you emails folders and e g. set some inbox rules.
Also you can add event on your calendar and ask Outlook to alert you before they will take place.
You can create PST archives and attach them to your email account.
There are many addons from third party programs that you can integrate with Outlook, this is a really useful feature.
Outlook works well and you will easily find documentation on internet in case of need.
Of course Outlook is not free, but it is worth the price (there are several plans).

Cons

The search bar placed in the top of the the screen and the new visualition, I prefer the old one (but it seems you can change it in some way).

MS Outlook, is there even another option?

I've been using it forever, and don't see myself using anything else. Maybe Mozilla Thunderbird if I'm feeling nostalgic

Pros

Easy to use, customize. straight forward. widely adopted among other businesses

Cons

I am not a fan of the "new outlook" as it function more like the web application, but as a desktop application. Some features are not available on the new one (which I think they're working on adding hopefully)

Best email management software out there.

Microsoft Outlook is seriously great. I use it all day every day at work. I love that I can manage not only my emails, but also my calendar, to-do list, meeting scheduling, and more, all from one app.

Pros

Microsoft Outlook is still the king of email. I love the ease of use, clean layout and deep integration with other Microsoft products as well as third party applications.

Cons

I've always love Outlook. Some of the new features and design changes with the latest release took some getting used to, but after a while it felt natural.

MIcrosoft Outlook Review

Excellent experience overall. Besides some configuration issue, the program works very well and it brings several useful features.

Pros

The interface. Its easy to user, clear and you have all important info at glance. I like the layout and the button styles as well.

Cons

It hangs. Now less than before but in the last years Outlook was having troubles in handling large quantity of data. With the cloud service its much better (no more psts) but now it hangs when facing poor network performances.

Unveiling Outlook: A Review for the Modern User

According to my overall experience with microsoft outlook, it is generally positive with its comprehensive set of features, robust calendar functionality and powerful search and filter capabilities.

Pros

I like most about microsoft outlook is its comprehensive and extensive features like email mgmt, calendar scheduling, contact mgmt, task mgmt, note-taking and seamless integration with other microsoft office applications. Mention to calendar features, I also like its easily schedule meeting, manage appointments and set reminders too. Another one I've to appreciate is that available on various platforms including windows, macOS, iOS and android that make us easy in accessibility and flexibility.

Cons

I dislike its performance issues particularly with large mailboxes or when using certain features like search or calendar synchronization or internet connection is lagged.

Microsoft Outlook is the Future

I would recommend Microsoft Outlook to any friends, family, or workplace environment. The app also allows the software to be very versatile and allows users to work just as efficiently on smartphones and other non-PC devices.

Pros

The ability to collaborate effectively with others is beneficial in the workplace environment and for students of all ages.

Cons

The controls are not the most user-friendly. I am now able to quickly navigate Outlook, but only with the help of YouTube tutorials.

Outlook - The Standard-bearer

Truly, I never had a bad experience using Outlook in 11+ years.

Pros

I have been using Microsoft Outlook as my primary email, calendar, and contacts program since 2013 and I would rather write letters and mark up my wall calendar than use any other program. The interface is smooth, the functionality is easy to understand, and teaching employees to use the program has always been agreeable. The "Tell me what you want to do" feature is especially handy and I have never had a task it couldn't walk me through. It's Alex and Siri before there was Alexa and Siri.

Cons

The only thing I honestly don't care for is the latest version, I am still using the prior version. The latest rollout's interface is clunky, hopefully something Microsoft will iron out before the version I'm on sunsets.

MS Outlook, good all around email program for small to large companies

Overall, a very solid email and calendar software program that we rely on every day to keep our business running smoothly and for both internal and external communications.

Pros

Ease of use and ability to share calendars of coworkers for better scheduling of meetings and finding available time for key people

Cons

Sometimes it takes a little time to 'load' so that you can find emails when doing a search, but most always, its due to internet connection issues, or simply time to update software, so keep it updated for best performance.

Walking the talk with Microsoft Outlook, a very secure emailing tool.

I have had a very comfortable experience using Microsoft Outlook to communicate with emails. It keeps all my emails well safeguarded from malicious emails like junks and spam. Microsoft Outlook makes emailing so safe, easy and very comfortable.

Pros

I like the email security functions in Microsoft Outlook which keep my inbox safe from spam and other malicious emails. It has an amazing function for sending emails on schedules rather than instantly. It makes it so easy to access my emails from anywhere making it possible to work in remote.

Cons

I have not found a thing in Microsoft Outlook that does not do the job right and I have no cons.

Pros

Has all the features if not the most fun to use

Pros

I like that it has all the features I need to manage email. I rarely thing, "If only it could..." It is a one stop for email, calendar, meetings and I trust what it shows me... almost all the time. Rarely has it misrepresented anything.

Cons

It's not great to look at, and it has so many features, I get lost in the options. I wish it were smarter to know what I need and narrow my choices accordingly.

Cons

I would love to have more free storage space. But otherwise the program it's self is great.
