There is more constant communication with the company and employee on each trip when reporting each expense, it makes the employee report each daily expense so that the company keeps track of their expenses and avoid unnecessary extra expenses

It is perfect for reporting each expense made on each trip without having complications of forgetting something to report, everything is done in real time and it greatly facilitates the process of validating each expense and thus having a clear and organized report, it allows for a more detailed development of each user's trips
There is clarity about each expense by having the expenses at the end of each trip very specific and thus better understanding what is spent more and what is spent less on

SAP Concur, the king of the expense claim processing!
Excellent experience. People across the business have reported that it is an excellent software, easy to manipulate. The fact that there is an app makes it much easier to not loose receipts/tax invoices. Very positive across the whole business.

Heavy on the Tech Light on the Service
The onboarding process is not user friendly and requires technical expertise. It did not play well with other applications and the onboarding success team takes over a week to respond. If you have in house IT staff then you should consider it as it is feature rich and scalable, but it can get expensive quickly. They have no easy way to pay your bill and Support took 3 weeks to figure out why I could not access the online billing portal and in the interim I received threating demand e-mails from them daily. The billing portal is straight out of 1980 and hasn't been updated since. The setting options can be intimidating as again the system is feature rich. We have spent a significant amount of time and paid for a SuiteApp to connect SAP Concur to NetSuite so we are using it, but I would not recommend SAP Concur to any small or medium size business. We started with QB and then migrated to NetSuite with Concur and it is one of the most painful experiences of my professional career.

SAP Concur is a feature rich web based application with lots of name recognition. It is a legacy application so there are lots of experienced users. The reviews I read online are not an indication of my experience so I thought I would share my honest personal experience.
Cons
THIS IS A SELF SERVICE APPLICATION WITH LIMITED SUPPORT. The native QB connector for QB desktop enterprise is worthless with little to no support from Concur. Our onboarding specialist final recommendation after 2 months was to just use it manually without the QB financial connector. The admin platform is clunky and not intuitive. We have had multiple issues with items not working and the support has only been able to resolve 1 issue after 3 weeks of trying. You are better off using the forums and support groups outside of SAP Concur to resolve your issues.

Intuitive design, clean screens, and easy to navigate. Also i like the switching between user feature when delegations are set up, and the mobile App.
Cons
find at times it can lag to make the changes i input. Also, mobile app has a limitation where you cannot select the attendee status "travelling/not travelling" so only simple coding possible via app and nothing to do with entertainment or travel.

Biggest Disappointment!
Couldn’t tell you if the system itself is any good or not because we have been working on the integration since April of 2024 (today is Jan 1 2025) and WE STILL HAVE NOT COMPLETED THE INTEGRATION.
The “Support” team is useless and refers us back to the account reps. The account reps don’t respond. The original rep set us up on a platform that wouldn’t work for our needs so we had to switch platforms. We chose Concur because it’s the only one that would integrate with our ERP system and work with our Corporate Cards (Chase Ink) - only to be told that the Chase Ink integration was broken.
No we can integrate with Chase Ink but can’t get ANYONE to work with us on the integration (emailing for MONTHS).
The reports are TERRIBLE. They suck to read. The suck for printing. As a whole, this is a terrible way to do business.

I would certainly recommend to any company. Regardless if they use expense, the travel tool is very helpful to help save on travel expense. From air to hotels and car rentals in between.

Makes travelers abode buy rules. If a traveler is out of policy they need to have reason. Depending on companies rules travel will be approved on not. It really depends on what companies wants to enforce.

Overall, I've used SAP Concur with multiple large corporations I've worked for and it's been a great experience.
Pros
I like the ease of filing expense reports in general, as well as the mobile app. The ability to take photos of receipts in the moment, using the app helps with peace of mind as to not lose them.
Cons
The only feedback I would say as a Con, would have to be the ability in the mobile app to upload a receipt that is a PDF. There may be a way to do it, but it appears to only allow image files, such as .jpg

Very strong expense management / invoice / requisition tool
We use for our invoice capture/processing process, expense management and purchase requisition process. This has expanded over time due to the usability of the tool and high level of adoption from end users.
Pros
The tool is multi-faceted meaning that once you have end users using, expanding it's reach/impact is very easy. We started with invoice, then added expense and than adopted purchase requisition most recently.
The mobile app is very helpful in managing the process for invoice approvals and receipt capture particularly, as can be done on the go.
Cons
Some of the quirks hard baked into the system route from it's beginnings as Global Expense, and therefore can be forgiven. I do see some of these ironed out over time.
The SAP purchase (a number of years back now) has seen account management strengthened, however if you are not an enterprise wide SAP ERP customer - you are likely to struggle to receive a high level of account management.

Moving from an excel based, far more manual process this has been a welcomed change.
Pros
The integration with corporate traveller, allowing users to claim expenses and book accommodation / travel in one application, reports / analytics are therefore available on spend across all these areas.
Support is readily available, always responsive and prompt in resolving any issues.
It is quite straightforward to use as an end user, most team members pick it up quite quickly.
Cons
I would prefer the option, of being logged into SAP for the day and not having to re-log in throughout the day when I need to re-access.
Search facility as an admin only allows to search on first name or surname, not both names.
The inability as an admin to easily move a 'group' of users to a new approver

Love Concur as an End User
I think concur does a very good job for our organization! There are a few minor headaches with the software, but all in all, it has been a great product to manage our company cards and provide the proper checks and balances needed in our organization!

Concur makes it very simple to fill out expense reports, upload receipts even by sending them straight to an integrated email. I love the simplicity of filling out reports as a user!
Cons
Concur was slightly difficult to map at the account level within our ERP. It took a lot of manual work to get implemented and accurate. Post implementation, everything has been smooth, but was a slight headache when implementing it!

It's reliable and I don't mind using it, although I prefer the streamlined utility of some newer platforms for expense reporting.

I liked the ability to itemize hotel charges in detail. Made it easier than worrying about splitting off personal charges to a separate non-business card. Can mark some itemized charges as personal so they don't get filed for reimbursement while all the others get claimed.

SAP's fully-built integrations with Frequent Flyer programs, Lyft, travel agencies, and Google make my travel planning experience enjoyable and automated.
